This list contains general announcements for members of the Single Mothers by Choice (SMC) organization. The SMC organization is for single women who are considering or who have made a deliberate choice to be a mother. Appropriate messages for this list include birth and adoption announcements, organizational and meeting announcements, and references to SMC issues in the media. All members of the Single Mothers by Choice (SMC) organization are welcome to participate: thinkers, tryers (biologically or by adoption), and mothers.

SMC maintains a number of grade-and-stage-related parenting lists:

-- SMC-MiddleSchool, parenting children in middle school (6-8);
-- SMC-Senior, parenting children in 9th grade and above.
