The Society of North American Goldsmiths supports and advances the professional practice of artists, designers, jewelers and metalsmiths. Through education, innovation, and leadership, SNAG provides access to a vibrant and passionate community.

SNAGnet is a web-based list serve. The primary focus of this news service is to publicize opportunities* in the jewelry and metals field: exhibitions, job listings in various sectors, competitions, calls for entry, workshops, classes, commissions, and other timely information about opportunities of interest to the general metals community. SNAGnet is currently sent to more than 2500 subscribers, including schools, guilds, SNAG members and others in the field.

You do not have to belong to SNAG to subscribe to SNAGnet, but you do have to join Yahoo Groups first: http://groups.yahoo.com. Once a member of Yahoo Groups, you can subscribe to the SNAGnet Group by sending an email to: SNAGnet-subscribe@yahoogroups.com . You will then begin to receive SNAGnet posts as emails. If you wish to post an opportunity*, send an email to snagnet@yahoogroups.com. Please note that in order for your post to be approved, the Moderator must receive it at least two weeks in advance of the start of the event. *The following types of posts fall outside the parameters of SNAGnet: Any chat type emails, personal requests or announcements, obituaries, for sale items, attempts to raise money for individual projects, politically oriented posts, and posts inviting small groups of people to arrange meetings or social events, etc.
