Subject: Re: Are we right with our version of The Lord's Prayer - An Analysis

Dear George Vergese,

Most of the Bible versions including the Catholic versions are ignored with the
last part in Lord’s Prayer. However most of the researchers and scholars
comments that, it was part of the Lord’s Prayer. The Peseto version of Bible
which we follow also has this line added. Again, tt is worth reading the
teaching of St. John Chrysostom on the Lord's Prayer. He mentions on Matthew
6:13 as-

"He again encourages and raises our spirits, by bringing to our remembrance the
King under whom we are arrayed, and signifying Him to be more powerful than all.
"For Thine," saith He, "is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory."

...When He saith, "Thine is the kingdom," He sets before us even him, who is
warring against us, brought into subjection, though he seem to oppose, God for a
while permitting it. For in truth he too is among God's servants, though of the
degraded class, and those guilty of offense; and he would not dare set upon any
of his fellow servants, had he not first received license from above. And why
say I, "his fellow servants?" Not even against swine did he venture any outrage,
until He Himself allowed him (Lk 8:30-32); nor against flocks, nor herds, until
he had received permission from above.

"And the power," saith He. Therefore, manifold as thy weakness may be, thou
mayest of right be confident, having such a one to reign over thee, who is able
fully to accomplish all, and that with ease, even by thee (Rom 10:2).

"And the glory, for ever. Amen." Thus He not only frees thee from the dangers
that are approaching thee, but can make thee also glorious and illustrious. For
as His power is great, so also is His glory unspeakable, and they are all
boundless, and no end of them. Seest thou how He hath by every means anointed
His Champion, and hath framed Him to be full of confidence?”

tom/Chrysostom.html

Hence I feel it is by its own taught by our Lord rather than a doxology added
later.

>>

>>Having reached this level which is furthest from purity, and in the manner
that Christ Himself taught us, why do we add the doxology, not in the original
Bible, which takes the Prayer back to its purer levels :
>>For Thine is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory, for ever and ever.

It certainly is refreshing to read Mr. Cherian Jacob's Malayalam audio Bible
project, especially in the current climate of politics and non-spiritual
ventures.

Bible.is has produced Malayalam NT audio Bible already so I was unsure about the
need for this project. But then when I heard your recordings, I was impressed.
Staying true to our Oriental Orthodox tradition, the Scriptures are not read,
but chanted. Thank you for providing these beautiful chants (though I noticed
some books were not chanted). I hope these books will be recorded through
chants as it reinforces our church's tradition while also differentiating it
from other audio books already available.

I also hope when recordings are completed, your site will be linked by our
church's other websites so more people are aware of this valuable resource.
Praying that this project provides comfort and relief to those who hunger for
spiritual growth in our church.

The Malankara World Journal Issue 75 - Mothers' Day Special (May 10,
2012) is available online at:

http://www.MalankaraWorld.com/Newsletter/MWNews_75.htm

--------
This Sunday is celebrated as Mother's Day in USA. So, this issue of
Malankara World Journal is dedicated to honoring mothers.

For Orthodox Christians, when we think of Mother, the first thought is
about St. Mary, the mother of Jesus. Mothers are hand picked by God as
they have to meet stringent qualifications. Invariably, the motherhood
requires suffering and service. Each of us can recall the sacrifices our
mothers made to bring us to the situation we are. So, this Sunday, let
us call our mothers (and grandmothers f we are fortunate to have them)
and let them know how much we appreciate their sacrifices.

I came across the following short article on the role of mothers in
rearing a child.

A Newborn's Conversation with God

A baby asked God, "They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow,
but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?"

God said, "Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you."

The child further inquired, "But tell me, here in heaven I dont have to
do anything but sing and smile to be happy."

God said, "Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you. And
you will feel your angels love and be very happy."

Again the small child asked, "And how am I going to be able to
understand when people talk to me if I dont know the language?"

God said, "Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words
you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will
teach you how to speak."

"And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?"

God said, "Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you
how to pray."

"Who will protect me?"

God said, "Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life."

"But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore."

God said, "Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach
you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you."

At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth
could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, "God, if I am to leave
now, please tell me my angels name."

God said, You will simply call her, "Mom."

Today is Mothers' Day, and we celebrate all those innumerable times when
we were rescued by the heart of a mother. .. There are four main points
I will cover. The first is the motherhood of all human mothers,
especially our own and those among us. The second is the special
motherhood of Mary, the mother of Jesus. The third is the motherhood of
God. And the fourth is the social application of motherhood, peace. ...

6. What Momma Taught Me About God

I think God gives us Mommas and Daddies to help children feel warm and
safe and secure in this sometimes scary world. That sense of security
and trust helps a child grow to be a self-confident adult. A lot of
children are raised without that sense of security. I was fortunate. ..

Momma knew just when to help me and comfort me and when to make me get
up and try again. How much more difficult it was for her to teach me
that certain actions have consequences, when she would rather have saved
me from ever having to experience hurt or failure. And isn't that just
like our Lord? Life gives us some hard lessons; but God knows how to use
them to make us better persons. When Jesus was getting ready to leave
this world and knew that he would be leaving his anxious disciples on
their own, he reassured them by saying: "Father is going to send you
another Comforter, to be with you forever."

7. Comfort Like a Mother

Just as a skillful mother is able to pacify and soothe the woes of her
child, so is God with us. Who here is distressed? God will soothe you.
Who is sorrowful? God will calm your troubles. Who here is stressed? God
will cause you to rest in him.

God is the God of ALL comfort. Jesus told us he was sending "another
comforter" to replace himself, which tells us that his role and that of
the Spirit was to comfort us. ...

Dear All,

This is time for us to have a readiness plan to face any situations in Piravom
on May 12th due to the presence of IOC hooligans. It should not be situation
like they conduct "7 men" Qurbana and later walk-down to Piravom church and
create some problem there and closing down of that church citing law and order
situation. We should have a well prepared plan for that day for resistance and
it should work like a well oiled machinery. There will be high presence of
hooligans from IOC on that day in Piravom and it should not be another
Thrikunnathu in 2005. Remember, they are not supposed to enter church on that
day or not even in its premises. Let those hooligans enjoy in that Sunday school
ground alone that day, that is what district administration asked them to do.
Not in our land, not even closer to us. Are we sure few of our KEFA or youth
association members could be able to stop this hooliganism in Piravom that day?
Will the police do justice to us that day, if they (IOC) do not abide to the
agreement?

Hope our legal team might have already thought about the legal implications we
may have to face due to this "7 men" Qurbano and its future impacts in court
cases related to this church. If needed plan to counter its legal impacts.

Thanks

Dear Gleeson,

Excellent Post Brother. This is an eye opener.

And congratulations on Arakkunnam JSO Church declared as "Valiya Pally". In your
post you mentioned its intended for those belonging to 'individual parish
churches'. Now I know Piravom Church is one among this list. What are the other
Churches? Kothamangalam Church? Manarcadu too? Now things are even more clear!

Hope some of our Metropolitans active in this FORUM will take a print out of
this debate and discuss in the SYNOD meetings(?). By the way Mannuthi is doing
this! Hope SOCM debate is making some change whatever small it might be!

Jacobite Leadership,Please!!!

Frusturation is high. We know its easy to blame. Can our leaders persuade those
church trustee(s)/vicar(s) to cordinate before taking
any measures. Many of the SOCM readers dont know who's who in our working
committe ! Who is Lay Trustee, Treasurer and Clergy Trustee ? And their duties?
Check these link of other Faiths:

The IO plan is clear now - Muscle power in SOUTH and LEGAL power in NORTH and
the 3 member alliance (MVPA-MANNUTHI-PAMKDA) is ready to take on us and they
have made all resources available at their finger tip!

Its hurting and now irritating - Few Jacobite churches just getting life by
youth power! it is THE time to reward our Youth by making them the next leaders!
Name and fame who cares! For us FAITH comes first. If no action from leadership,
can't blame Jacobite going/joining Catholic Churches that got similar Qurbana
System. Read the signs please! Left and Right to each of our famous churches new
new Catholic churches are coming up!

Its obvious that 'Individualistic' practice will bite back one day.
Its also learned that unfriendly authorities can create fake orders.
It is also clear that 1-1 game is played-but sadly with our properties
(Read - collector support at Thrikkunnath and Collector order for Piravom)

Its time to take proactive measures.Whatever happened is GOOD.
Lets us work as a team and let this be our first assignment.

Im scared and I cry.

Im really scraed to meet any bishops, priests, and the lay men, in both
fractions of the most ancient Christian church in the world (Universal Syrian
Orthodox church) in India who are fighting each other in the street with all
satanic means and even to kill.

The only de-facto spirit behind is to secure their positions, and to indulge in
all the orgies of life in the name of Christian faith to posses and control of
the material world - the churches, the property, and the institutions and send
the souls of the innocents subjects in to hell

This is against Christianity, its all principles, and Jesus Christ our lord
and God. They follow the barbaric law of an eye for an eye and a tooth for a
tooth. But Jesus says, Love your enemies as I have loved you. These two
never meet each other as the west is west and the east is east.

How can you people stand in front of Jesus and pray with all the heavenly
symbolic dresses and with the holy bible? How can you do the Holy Qurbano with
the bloodstains of your brothers in your hands and hearts?

I pray and cry to Jesus save us

READ: Matthew 5:21-26

If you . . . remember that your brother has something against you, . . first be
reconciled to your brother. Matthew 5:23-24.

Mark messed up. He arrived an hour late at a restaurant where he was to meet a
friend from church. The friend had already left. Feeling sorry about his
mistake, Mark purchased a gift certificate from the restaurant and stopped at a
local card shop to search for an apology card. Among hundreds of cards, he was
surprised to find only a few “sorry for my actions” cards in an obscure part
of the store. He purchased one and gave it to his friend who accepted his
apology.

Although apology cards may not be popular, apologies are frequently needed in
our relationships. Apologizing is a biblical action. Jesus instructed His
followers to make things right with those we've offended (Matt. 5:23-24;
18:15-20). And the apostle Paul said, If it is possible, as much as depends on
you, live peaceably with all (Rom. 12:18). Living at peace may require
apologies.

Apologies can be hard to make because it takes a spirit of humility to admit our
mistake, which may not come naturally for us. But taking responsibility for how
we were wrong in a situation can bring healing and restoration to a
relationship.

Have you messed up? Swallow your pride and make the first move even if you can't
find a card to help you say it. Anne Cetas

Whenever you offend a friend,
Apologize and make things right;
For if you will admit your wrong,
You may avoid a needless fight. Sper

The best way to get the last word is to apologize.

Dear Respected Fr.Paulose.

First of all I do not have any authority to suggest on your view..but
again , would like put-up my visions in front of all..

Let us not to be scared or cry.. Jesus Christ came to the world to
salvate the sinners. He hate sin and not the sinners.. Only thing is to repent.

Right side thief was a person who was condemned to death. His crime was
accountable for this punishment. There is no information of his
religion, His soul was about to leave to the un returnable end but...
saved miraculously. Conversation underlines that he is liable for this
punishment, he concluded that Jesus Christ is innocent, He knew that Jesus
Christ will come back in his kingdom( situation where majority of disciples ran
away), Also he prayed to Jesus Christ to remember him once he return with glory(
not prayed for his escape).. Now let us think....Is it a plan& project of God
in front of us to make us understand that there is a chance till the last moment
to anybody irrespective of religion/sin.

Hope you have heard thru media that even advocates are not ready to
take the cases for this issue. There is a slight fear in their mind as
well to take up these cases..( reason unknown)

Biggest hurdle which I felt is the lack of knowledge of gospels to the laymen
in both Jacobite & Orthodox. Also all are interested in
praising themselves that they are superior to others in terms of money
or property+ tradition..

Once Jesus asked his disciples whom he was ...Simon Peter replied "You
are the Christ, the Son of the living God.". This is the throne of
St.Peter. All the Christians ( irrespective of all denomination) has
to believe in this way. It is the tradition of us.. St.Thomas who came to our
country also was in the same throne . But lot of people try to think that the
throne means a chair. Thus Orthodox proclaimed that there is another throne
for them.! St.Thomas's throne..!! If we refer Bible, we could easily see that
Jesus Christ termed Pharisees & Scribes as those who are in the throne of Moses.
( It is not at all a chair but they are followers of a tradition).

Any ways, with slow pace , a new thinking will generate among people to repent
on nonsense activities and will try to reconcile issues with the great love of
God like brothers & sisters.

We hope ,all will rejoice at least in this generation with
reconciliation, only thing is, it is our duty to spread gospel which can turn
people from the clutches of Devil.

Church is the body of Christ, one member organ cannot be proud that he
is superior than the other . Christ is the head of church..

All disciples, apostles spent time to spread Gospels to mankind. Our
forefathers shown us the way to Jesus Christ with such dedication.. it is not
clear what we understand from these great witnesses..

What is our way ? Are we trying to keep new new chairs here and there ..?
Jesus Christ wash the feet of disciples and show how we should be to the others
? Are we following Jesus Christ in the same meaning..?

Let us repent and come back...God is waiting for us...to welcome us !!

Thanks
Benny

Dear Moderators

What is to be read in between lines?

1. The office bearers of the Piravom church are not consulting the central
legal cell.
2. The signatories of the agreement to allow IOC to stage some declaration is
not legally valid and in the wisdom of some others it will end up in further
issues.
3. The legal cell of the Piravom church is acting contrary to wisdom of
central legal cell.

My humble question is Are these to be debated in a public forum? To
enlighten the Piravom church office bearers, which is the forum? Is it
appropriate to make the office bearers anxious about the chances of failure in
the case which will persuade office bearers to consult the central legal cell or
to persuade faithful of the Piravom church to turn against their own elected
office bearers? - is that the agenda.

What is collective wisdom?

I am not referring to any name here which is never my agenda. Kunnamkulam
Simhasana church case was initiated in 1959, there were two remand orders since
1959 and now the case is before HC after three judgments from the District
court. Somebody was referring to 17 years of case history of Kunnamkulam
Simhasana church. It has a long history of 53 years. It is just to clarify
that.

In the SLP before the SC somebody suggested (no names are to be mentioned) that
the Church (JSC) will make arrangement to represent for the Simhasana Church
cases. Late Mor Osthatheos Bennyamin Joseph thirumeni of blessed memory was
firm that there is conflict of interest and it should be represented separately.
It is in this context that some documents were not shared with some persons as
accused in the posting. One must learn to see others point of view.

Collective wisdom is not blindly following anybodys wisdom. Therefore, I have
posted what I thought I must seeing repeated postings of the kind. I would like
to bring out specific instances to substantiate what I have written but it will
not serve the interest of Church, therefore I will not. Autonomy of the
churches are to be respected in any case. Anybody can advise! Sorry if my
posting insulted anybody which was not my motive.

Subject: Discrimination, Partiality and Fake news of Malayala Manorama with regard to our Church
Toby Abraham

Dear All,

I know, the said subject is known and familiar to most of our
Faithfuls. Again I would like to discuss about this subject with all
of you , as I feel now it is very much necessary to do something
against this discrimination and partiality behavior of manorama for
the survival of our Church. In-between we had seen several protests by
our Faithfuls at some corners of kerala against this discrimination's
and fake news towards our church but never seen a collective &
combined action against this. Burning some manorama news papers by
conducting some protests individually by some parishes won't give any
results, moreover they will be laughing sitting in their corporate
houses seeing such protests

Everybody knows manorama is showing much discrimination's and
partiality towards our church. They will give the news of celebrations
and functions of IOC parishes in all over kerala edition while they
will restrict our news with in one or two editions. They will always
ensure to restrict the perunnal news of our big churches in that
district only. The latest example is the news regarding the feast of
St George. All of us aware that karingachira pally is a parish
established in 7th century with around 1400 + families, several
chapels, shrines & institutions where puthuppally church is a parish
established in 15th century with only around 700 families as its
members and having three shrines and one school. But everybody knows
about the coverage manorama gives for the feast of stgeorge in
puthuppally where kanrigachira pally news is restricted in Ernakulum
edition.Every body knows about the difference between the coverage of
news regarding the perunnal in parumala and manjinikkara. More over
everybody knows manarcad parish is the big parish in malankara out of
any churches with more than 3000+ families, 16 Sunday schools,
chapels, shrines, institutions, priests etc. Do anybody in north seen
any news regarding manarcad parish in districts like ernakulam,
thrissur, idukki, Malabar etc. Do any body seen the news of
kothamangalam parish in places like kottayam, pathanamthitta, kollam
etc. I was thinking if this big parishes belongs to IOC then what will
be the situation. More over I heard that manorama is giving discount
rates for IOC and in some cases even freely they are giving news for
them. We can see this partiality in news regarding catholicose,
bishops, priests etc. Apart from this there are lot of other examples
which everybody knows, iam not getting into that in details as my
concern is on some other points. More than this we all know manorama
is the only person who gives a stand and voice to IOC in north. They
will indirectly and sometimes directly support IOC in all their
action's in north. After playing all dirty games, IOC is using
manorama as a covering shield to protect their face in front of
public.

We can't blame manorma on the above mentioned points as it is a pure
orthodox church paper. It is their duty and responsibility to support
their church. But my concern is on some other points where we should
be alert, vigilant and action against it. It is all about to the fake
news in manorama regarding our church, the discrimination &
manipulations of news regarding the parishes where there is disputes,
fight, protests & court cases. They are very talented in hiding the
actual facts from the public by changing the meaning of sentences with
regard to church news very technically. We can see the news of
mulanthuruthy church and their catholicate centre with equal
importance where they are not giving such importance to our parish at
puthuppally. For any statements from our bishops with regard to any
parish where there is dispute , they are keen in calling IOC bishops
and taking counter statements against it. In some cases they are not
publishing the news which we are giving and in lot of cases they are
changing the script of the news which we are giving. They will sensor
some sentences, change the pattern of sentences and will ensure that
news will not affect IOC in front of public. Till this time Manorama
never wrote a single article supporting the protests for justice for
90 to 95 % people in a parish where there is dispute.

With regard to Fake news I just want to mention very recent two
examples, IOC catholicose breached the law and host the flag in front
of arthat simhasana parish then manorama in their news didn't mention
about " breaching of law " and they wrote that IOC catholicos
host the flag at arthat church. If our bava thirumeni did such things
in any of the IOC parishes or even in parishes where there is dispute
then what will they write. They will give the heading in big words
that our bava breached the law. Another example, one year back in
piravam, IOC catholicose break the lock of the shrine of piravam
valiya pally and conduct prayer by breaching law then also in next
day news manorama never wrote that IOC catholicose breached the law,
instead of that they simply wrote that IOC catholicose led prayers in
the shrine of piravom valiyapally. If it was our bava then what will
be the news ?when our bava conducted holy mass at thrikkunnath
seminary manorama paper and channel stand infront to show case it as a
case of breach of law. The very disturbing fact is that these fake
news are destroying the goodwill and reputation of our church in front
of public as a good percentage of people blindly accept and believe
what manorama wrote. The public will treat us as the problem makers.
That is happening now.

So now I am putting a question in front of all jacobite faithful, why
we are giving a rode to somebody to beat us. I un-doutfully say, by
subscribing manorama we are destroying our own church. In one side we
are crying for justice towards our church and in the other hand we are
supporting those who are destroying our church. I will say we are
fools and idiots to depend on them where in the current world all
corporate are depending on customers. There are lot of other news
papers who are not showing any partiality and disclosing truth and
facts in front of public. More over at present we have lot of other
options for getting news like TV channels, radio, FM service, Internet
etc. I feel proud about our parents and grandparents who in their
tough times stopped manorama subscriptions in 1995 when there was no
much option available in market for reading news. Till 1995 my parents
and grandparents have the habit of reading manorama daily but on the
day when they put the fake and manipulated news about supreme court
verdict my parents stopped subscribing manorama without thinking
twice. In my childhood my grandfather always convey me that manorama
is the poison who make this church into two faction for their
survival, they will smile in front of public and our bishops but in
back end they are like wolfs.

So this is the ideal time to give reply to them. This is the time to
prove them that we are true Syrian Christians with strong back bone.
It should be a collective and combined action. ( See how IOC people in
cochin reacted when there was no article about the demised osthathios
thirumeni in cochin edition. The faithful of all IOC churches in
cochin jointly give a memorandum signed by all of them to manorama
regarding the issue and from next day onwards we can see manorama
giving news of IOC with special attention and care. The most
interesting part is that this is only single mistake happens from
manorama, they never do it intentionally to IOC ) I suggest our
leadership to sent a warning letter to manorama with regard to their
discrimination and partiality towards our church signed by all
faithful's of our church. ( This can be easily obtained on one Sunday
after the mass. Copy of warning letter & and papers to be signed to be
sent to every parish and after mass every members has to sign it.
Simultaneously one of our spiritual organization youth association or
our media viswasa samrakshakan should issue a supplement disclosing
these discrimination's, partiality and fake news of manorama about our
church with proofs & examples and to distribute it freely to each
faithful in all parishes in India and outside India. Supplement should
discuss each incidents of discrimination's & partiality and have to do
a case to case study on fake news. There should be informative
articles in supplement which will help to educate our Faithfuls
regarding the cheating of manorama. Indirectly this supplement should
make our faithful to think and stop subscribing manorama. More over
after this our faithful won't never believe in the news of manoarama
regarding church cases. This will bring confidence back to our
believers.

I suggest Viswasa Samrakshakan to take this initiative as a challenge
as it is very much needed for the survival of our church. They have
the capacity and ability to do it. More over they already have the
systems, infrastructure and have volunteers at almost every parishes
in India and abroad also. I know now everybody will think about the
funds to be required for such a project. In my perspective it can be
easily raised by the volunteers of viswasa samrakshakan in each
parish. As an ordinary faithful I am ready to pay the money for all
the supplements required for my parish. Like that i am confident that
there are lot of Faithfuls in each parish who are ready to be a part
of this type of action who will strongly support this project by cash
and by manpower as required. Or else funds can be raised from some
business groups or rich people or big parishes in our church who are
interested to this. ( I prefer to raise the funds from well wishers of
each parish through the volunteer's of viswasa samrakshakan so they
also will be a part of something which is helping for the survival of
their church ) They are only waiting for somebody to take the
initiative. The only things to be done is volunteers of viswasa
samrakshakan should get educated regarding the importance, purpose and
implementation of this project.

Do anybody doubt about the implementation and success of this
project. If there is a will then it can be easily doable.

I also request each and every faithful not to watch manorama news
also. Why should we increase their percentage of viewers when there is
lot of other channels like surya, asianet, india vision, kairali,
reporter, jeevan etc are available.

Now everybody will think whether I have any personal revenge with
manorama. Nothing like that, this is only the outcome of anger and
frustrations from an ordinary jacobite faithful and i believe the same
feeling is going through thousands of ordinary jacobite faithfuls in
all over the world who doesn't know what to do and i am expressing
their views as a representative.

Today with Jesus

"Her children arise and call her blessed...what a gift, to be blessed by your
children. (Proverbs 31:28)

Make your mom feel special this Mother's Day and every day thereafter!

Jesus answered to the man who asked, Teacher, what good thing must I do to get
eternal life? Honour your father and mother and love your neighbour as
yourself - (Mathew 19:19). The greatest satisfying happiness of a woman on
earth is to become a mother of a blessed child. Till her death, a mother cannot
forget her child and live without his/her love. This cannot be traded for
gadgets, books and goods. Mothers Day itself is a wrong connotation for the
mother and child relationship and is not what Jesus intended. Most moms would
prefer a little bit of gratitude all year long rather than a heap of gratitude
only one day out of 365. You cant put a price on how much you love your mother.
So spending time together and expressing your love for her in whatever way you
can are the most valuable acts you can do for her. It should not be a season
for the stores to make money and leave your wallets empty.

Surprise Mom with these ideas -

- Serve her breakfast in bed.

- Write her a letter telling her why you think she is so special (and be
specific)

- Give her a foot, back or hand massage

- Run her a bubble bath

- Bake her cookies

- Compile her favourite songs on CD

- Offer to do a chore that she finds boring

- Give mom a night off to do what she chooses

- Do what mom wants to do on her special day, even if youd prefer not to do
it

Adam, 58, has been staying in Canada for the past 28 years and has three
grown-up children. Religiously he had visited his hometown every year to spend
time exclusively with his aged widowed mother. He ensured that he kept aside
three weeks for her and did not go anywhere else during this period. Whenever
he was there, he was her nurse, friend, servant and of course, the son of his
mother till she passed away peacefully from this earth.

Prayer : Jesus, let all children love their mothers unconditionally and take
care of her. We pray for all the mothers who are in want of love from their
kids. All we ask in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Today with Jesus

Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. (Mathew 7:12)

Do good to others -Someday I might need someone to do the same for me-
Dolores, 70-year old volunteer.

This is commonly known as the golden rule in many religions (stated negatively)
- Dont do to others what you dont want done to you. By stating it
positively, Jesus made it more significant that it is not very hard to refrain
from harming others; it is much more difficult to take the initiative in doing
something good for them. The golden rule, as Jesus formulated it, is the
foundation of active goodness and mercy - the kind of love God shows to us every
day. Think of a good and merciful action you can do today. The field is ready
for harvest - the earth is always in need of mercy and goodness everywhere. So,
inaction is unpardonable, punishable, irresponsible and self-destructive. If we
listen, then we can hear the cry of mercy within our homes, churches and our
community.

Dolores Castro, Mississaugas 70 year old Volunteer of the Year 2011, lives by
the golden rule of Jesus. She treats others the way she hopes to be treated,
should ever the day come when she herself needs a helping hand, a sympathetic
ear, or a shoulder to cry on. She lives by the motto: One person has the power
to make a huge difference in anothers life! She puts that belief in to
practice driving patients to medical appointments for the Red Cross, visiting
seniors at a local nursing home and delivering lunches to chemotherapy patients
at Credit Valley Hospital. She provides emotional support to terminally ill
clients at Heart House Hospice and visits inmates at the Kingston Penitentiary.
Why? Because someday I might need someone to do the same for me.

Prayer: Jesus, let your bounty of blessings prevail on all of us. We pray for
all the selfless volunteers in your ministry alleviating the pains of others.
Let us be good and merciful to others. Let us also be the recipients of the same
from you. All we ask in the name of Jesus. Amen.

READ: Galatians 2:1-10

He who oppresses the poor reproaches his Maker, but he who honors Him has mercy
on the needy. Proverbs 14:31

Statistics are tricky. While numbers give us information, sometimes they can
also desensitize us to the people those numbers represent. This hit me recently
as I read a statistic: Every year 15 million people die from hunger. That's
chilling, and for those of us who live in cultures of plenty, it's hard to
fathom. In 2008, nearly 9 million children died before their fifth birthday,
with a third of those deaths related to hunger. These are staggering numbers,
but they are much more than numbers. They are individuals loved by God.
We can show the Father's heart of love by responding to people's physical needs.
Solomon wrote, He who oppresses the poor reproaches his Maker, but he who honors
Him has mercy on the needy (Prov. 14:31). We can show mercy to the needy by
volunteering at a soup kitchen, assisting in a job search, financially
supporting the drilling of wells in places in need of fresh water, distributing
food in poverty-stricken regions, teaching a trade, or providing lunches for
school children.

Accepting this responsibility honors the Father and His concern for all. And
those who are starving might be better able to hear the message of the cross if
their stomachs aren't growling. Bill Crowder

If God ordained to give
One gift for all my days,
I'd want the way He loves
To permeate my ways. Verway

The more we understand God's love for us the more love we'll show to others.

Have anybody noticed that for the first time in IOC history, a memeber of
manorama family is out the decision making process of IOC. Mr. Mammen
Mathew is no more a memeber of IOC Managing Committee or Working Committee,
newly constituted by Devalokam Catholica. He was a member of both the committees
previously, a tradition for Manorama family. The originator of the Church is
out. Let the bear the brunt for doing sins to the Holy father and Mother Church.

Dear Benny,
The relationship of the Malankara Church to the Church of Antioch and all the
East is due to canonical and historical reasons. We should not confuse the
reason for the relationship of the Malankara Church to the Syriac Church as
'Peterine Supremacy'.

You are right, every Christian denomination accepts the primacy of St. Peter. He
was undoubtadly the leader of the Apostles and held a very special place in the
church.

Now let us come back to priesthood in our Holy Church. As you know there are
only 3 levels in the priest hood.
- Deacons
- Priests
- Episcopate

Everyother levels, Bishop, Arch Bishop, Catholicose, Patriarch, Pope are all the
same. They are all Bishops. All Bishops are successors of all Apostles. No
particular Bishop is a successor of just a particular Apostle. So it is wrong to
say that just the Bishop in Kottayam (who takes the title Catholicose) is the
only successor of St. Thomas. Similarly it is wrong to say that the Bishop of
Antioch (who has the title of Patriarch) or the Bishop of Rome (who has the
title Pope) is the only successor of St. Peter.

The Bishop of Antioch (Patriarch) is a successor of St. Peter, St. Thomas and
all the other Apostles. Simlarly the Bishop of Kottayam or Mylapore or Kandanad
are also successors of St. Peter and St. Thomas and St. John and all the
apostles.

Also all the apostles were given thrones by our Lord Jesus Christ. Pleae read
Gospel of St. Matthew 19:28

http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%2019:28&version=NKJV

"you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve
tribes of Israel. "

Now the question is about the administrative set-up of the Church in Malankara.
The thing that is problematic about the Catholicate of 1912, is not the
decorative title of Throne of St. Thomas. The problem is the way it was
established. To read about it..

our country also was in the same throne . But lot of people try to think that
the throne means a chair. Thus Orthodox proclaimed that there is another
throne for them.! St.Thomas's throne..!! If we refer Bible, we could easily see
that Jesus Christ termed Pharisees & Scribes as those who are in the throne of
Moses. ( It is not at all a chair but they are followers of a tradition).

This Sunday's Gospel starts with the story of the Samaritans stopping Jesus on
the road to Jerusalem. Two disciples who were with Jesus suggested Jesus to
bring fire from heaven to kill the Samaritans who stopped them. But, Jesus
rebuked His disciples and went to another village, thus avoiding a quarrel with
the Samaritans.

Lesson here is very evident that if some one is opposed to us, the answer
is not to kill them; but to change our course and avoid a fight. Jesus very
well knew that He had spiritual authority over the Samaritans too. But,
Jesus did not try to enforce it; rather Jesus chose to leave them for the time
being and wait for the appointed time.

Later we read in Acts 8 : 1 -40 that the Samaritans accepted the Word of
God and many people in Samaria were baptized by Apostles Peter and John.
Everything has an appointed time. Saul of Tarsus had his appointed time to
revert from persecuting Christians to become the strongest pillar of
Christianity.

Some one stopping us on the road or some one opposing our ideas or ideology
does not mean that he is our permanent enemy. Our Church is going through a
similar situation where a section of our own people stopping us from entering
some of our Parish Churches. We are absolutely sure about our physical,
spiritual and constitutional authority over these parishes. But, if today's
Gospel reading is the one guiding our conscience; we are not supposed to
establish our authority through muscle power, money power, political power or
through court of law.

Court of "love" perhaps would be a more appropriate medium for dispute
resolution than the court of law. Jesus had spiritual authority over the Jews
and the Romans who crucified Him. It was possible for Jesus to kill them with
fire; but instead Jesus loved them and prayed for them. Eventually, Rome
become an important center of Christians and the Jews are looking forward to
the Second coming of Jesus.

These are strong evidences right in front of our eyes to prove that
sacrificial love is the only way to establish spiritual power. We believe in
Jesus because Jesus loved the world so much that He sacrificed His life for
us. " Love one another the same way I loved you" was the single commandment
Jesus gave upon resurrection. Jesus' love towards the Samaritans prohibited
Jesus from enforcing his spiritual authority over them.

The best way to gain the people who are opposed to us is to stop enforcing our
authority or opinion or ideology on them. We always argue that we are fighting
for our faith or freedom. That is the worst argument I have ever heard. We
are not fighting for faith or throne or freedom; but we are fighting because
deep inside of us we have envy and hatred towards one another. I always used
to narrate the example of the British rule in India to prove this point.

The British did not come to India to rule us. They came to buy our tea and
spices. But, when they came in, they saw the ongoing petty fights between the
many princely states and they saw the enormous amounts of gold and diamond
jewellery accumulated by the rulers. So, they thought it better to loot our
wealth by taking advantage of these petty fights rather than trading in
spices. So, they imported guns and tanks from Briton and defeated our army
which was fighting with bow and arrows.

...............................................................
...............................................................

Therefore, this whole thing boils down to our envy and hatred. That is the
cancer. We are hoping that once we win a certain court case or once we
capture a certain Church or once we split and seperate there will be peace in
our Church. It is simply a pipe dream. We had that situation even before where
there was a clean and clear court verdict and our Bishops sat together,
accepted each other, drank coffee and exchanged kiss of peace. Did it
survive?? Absolutely not. Because that cancer called hatred still remained
in us. The best chemo therapy for that cancer is " Love one another". When
we treat this cancer with love, we will stop our this endless fight for
positions. I wonder when I see some of our old aged monks who have their feet
already in their grave play politics in Church matters. Are they not reading
from the same Bible we all are reading from. Is the language in their Bible
difficult to understand ??

"1 John 4:20 If someone says, "I love God," but hates a Christian brother or
sister, that person is a liar; for if we don't love people we can see, how can
we love God, whom we cannot see?"

"Matthew 12:26 If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How
then can his kingdom stand?"

Recently a non-Christian TV news reader asked a question to a Bishop about
Christians fighting each other on the street quoting the above verse from the
Bible. The Bishop conveniently side stepped that question and continued blaming
his opposite side for all problems. Does this Bishop understands that each
question like this from a non-Christian is yet another nail on the body of
Christ. I wonder, what this Bishop or for that matter any other clergy who
has put his hands to the plow on his own will think in his mind when he
reads this Sunday's Gospel. Is it not time yet for our clergy to be a role
model to the lay sinners ???

Dear moderators,

Reading the articles by Rev Fr. Paulose and Mr. Benny, I gather that we all are
concerned about our Christian belief. We are in this world only for a certain
period, may be about 80 years. Within this short period of life, I wonder how
many of us really wish to live in harmony and co-operation with our "so-called"
opponents, namely Malankara Orthodox. I do not believe the common men, like us
(Laity) do care much about the differences these pundits talk about. A friend of
mine who is a Hindu asked me " if there are churches by Jacobite, Malankara
Orthodox, Pentacost, Roman Catholics and Seventh day Adventist in the same area
and if Christ wishes to visit His people, which church would he visit?" My reply
was "NONE". I will leave the reasoning to the readers!

Unless our LEADERS can come down and be humble enough to believe that their "red
mantle" is to serve and not be served, we shall not see any harmony in the
churches. They will make long prayers and cry in public to move us to fight each
other. If you closely watch, the reasoning for the establishment of hundreds of
Christian denominations in the world is nothing but egoism or individualism. You
can see that in our own church. I leave my response right here.

May God help us reach out to the other side and pray together in unison. (Am I
repeating the speach "I have a dream" by Martin Luther King!)

Dear All

I agree with the suggestions to fight against 'Manorama'. Its the time to show
the power of people againstdictators and it is happening in every nook and
corner of the world.. They should write the truth. If our church avoids this
paper it will have huge impact on the revenue of Manorama and they should
realise the fact. They don't have to support us but never ever try to give
'fake' news about church. The monopoly of this paper is over already.

We all know the story created by Manorama 'spy network with ISRO' which damaged
one of the best Govt. institution and life of dedicatedindividualsand their
families.

When I was living in India (8yrs back) , I have stopped thesubscriptionof
this paper. I read major malayalam internet news papereditionsevery day except

With our true faith we can fight against the evil .

May God bless us all

Abram fell on his face

Twice in one chapter we read that Abraham fell on his face as God spoke to him,
Gen. 17:3, 17. This speaks to us that we should let God be all, and see
ourselves as nothing; we should remain in a state of total surrender, and let
God do all in us and through us. For us to come to this place of faith, we need
to hear God's voice speaking to us. God may speak to us as we read His Word, or
as we pray, as we are at work, or at any other time. He spoke to Moses when he
was at work (at the burning bush, as he was pasturing the flock), and also while
fasting for forty days and forty nights. Both these, we may note, were at Horeb
( Mt. Sinai ), the mountain of God . May we have grace to expect our God to
speak to us while we are praying or while we are working. When He speaks to us,
and as we hear His voice, the ground where we stand is holy ground, Ex. 3:5. Let
us learn to expect to hear God's voice, and receive the revelation of His
all-sufficiency. Faith comes by hearing God's voice, hearing God's Word, Rom.
10:17. Our Lord said: My sheep hear my voice, John 10:27.

Thankful for your prayers,

Syria's Patriarchs condemned the terrorist blast which ripped through al-Kazaz
area in Damascus on Thursday and the terrorist acts in several parts of Syria
which have left scores dead and injured.

In a statement issued on Friday, Syriac Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All
the East Ignatius Zakka I Iwas, the Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All
East Ignatius IV Hazim and Melkite Greek Catholic Patriarch of Antioch and All
East Gregory III Laham called for giving priority to the homeland's interests
above all else away from violence on the basis of justice, citizenship, freedom
of expression and all that serves the country.

The Patriarchs prayed for the martyrs to rest in peace and for the bereaved to
be relieved, calling upon the fellow Syrians to join them in their prayer to
protect Syria.

A Statement issued by their Holinesses and Beatitudes the Patriarchs of Syria

We, Ignatius Hazim IV Patriarch of Antioch and All the East for the Greek
Orthodox, Mor Ignatius Zakka I Iwas Patriarch of Antioch and All the East for
the Syrian Orthodox, and Gregorios Laham III Patriarch of Antioch and All the
East, Alexandria and Jerusalem for the Greek Melkite Catholic; denounce the
coward and criminal work which attacked the area of Al-Kazaz in Damascus on
the morning of Thursday May 10, 2012. We also denounce all the terrorist works
which targeted different areas of the beloved Syrian land, and which victimized
many innocent martyrs, and wounded civilians and militants of this great nation.

In front of this painful hardship, we pray to God Almighty to heal the wounds of
Syria and the Syrian people, so that the citizens of the one nation may return
back to each other; in love, reconciliation, forgiveness, cooperation and
wisdom. They may also favor the interest of the country above all other
interests, distance themselves from violence in all its aspects, head towards
doing good to our dear country in rebuilding it on civilized and human
principles. These principles should include the elements of justice, virtuous
citizenship, coexistence, peaceful freedom of expression, and all that is
related to serve the nation and the citizens.

We lift up the prayers in one voice and one heart to God Almighty to rest the
souls of the martyrs of the country in peace, console the hearts of those
afflicted, protect Syria and lead it into the shore of safety, peace,
sovereignty and prosperity. In a responsible and fatherly spirit we call on all
citizens of the country, Muslims and Christians to share with us the prayer so
that God may protect Syrian people from all sorts of danger and damage, and
believe in Gods saying: I am with you till the end of the time .

May the name of God be blessed forever. Amen

RE: "Also all the apostles were given thrones by our Lord Jesus Christ. Please
read Gospel of St. Matthew 19:28"
>

People very often try to equate the thrones mentioned in Mathew 19:28 with that
of the historical throne of St. Peter. Jesus is talking about final judgment
here and during this event, whenever it happens, Jesus is the one who would sit
on the main throne (throne of his glory).

Mathew 19:28: "Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the
regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also
shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel" (KJV). Those
twelve thrones mentioned here are only for the twelve disciples. None of the
Patriarchs (except St. Peter the First Patriarch) or Catholicoses of IOC or Pope
of Roman Catholics is going to sit on that throne to judge the 12 tribes of
Israel. Instead, they all will be judged. Also, this verse is talking about an
event which has not yet come and none of us know when that will be. So these
thrones mentioned or promised by Jesus to all the apostles have not come yet!

The throne of St. Peter we talk about today is his position among the other
disciples. St. Peter was the 'chief among the apostles' which was honored to him
by Jesus himself to lead the church (John 21:14-16). However Jesus taught all
the disciples to be humble as well: Mark 9:35 "And he sat down, and called the
twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be
last of all, and servant of all" (KJV). So unlike what we see today among some,
there was no competition for showing off of authority among the disciples or
bishops. However, all the disciples respected the primacy of St. Peter. This is
the throne we are talking about-the position as "chief among the apostles". When
St. Peter died, that position (throne) went to his successor, St. Evodius in
Antioch and later to his successor St. Ignatius and so on to the 122nd successor
of St. Peter, Moran Mor Ignatius Zakha I of our time. The Church on earth did
not die with the apostles and thus the leadership (and the position as chief) of
the church can't die either. The leadership continues today as the church
continues (Mathew 28:20) and will continue until the second coming of Jesus and
the final judgement. Patriarch is the "chief among the bishops" of the Syriac
Orthodox Church and thus the leader of the Syriac Orthodox Church. Every one
belonging to this church has to honor this position. This position and title is
entirely different from what is mentioned in Mathew 19:28 which are promised
only to the disciples of Jesus Christ and not to the disciples of the disciples
or to their successors.

Dear Achen -

I'm sorry you feel this way and sorry that so many of both sides feel very
similarly. I think there are a lot of us who do feel this way and wonder where
Christ has gone? I truly believe if our leadership especially our bishops and
senior clergy shift toward a Christ-centered approach, we would see an end to
the conflict within our lifetime. Sadly, it is those on both sides with
hardline points of view which perpetuate this - be it lay folk or clergy. We
can pray but we with moderate and feelings of love for our fellow Orthodox
Christian brothers, must keep consistently urging them towards peace. May God
be merciful to us and save us.

Dear Friends in Christ,

Mr. Ronnie Daniel, Mr. Philip Scaria including Mr M G Mathew in the Group e-mail
of dateand many othersearlier have submitted well written postings on this
subject of harmony.

Most of them have reflected the need for absolute unity between the Jacobite and
Orthodox Churches, just as our Saviour Lord Jesus Christ said in St John
Chapters 14 and 17 (i) to the Disciples " I am in the Father, and the Father is
in me" and (ii) to God His Father "I am in them and You are in me"- a concept
of oneness, which somehow is being missed out at some levels in both our
respective Churches -whilewe, however, continue to call ourselves Christians
though.

Should a secret ballot (secret because of fear of being spotted otherwise by
those who have strong disposition to one side or the other) is taken - a very
vast majority of Members on both sides, would vote for oneness.

I think it is time that we set aside differences and work toward what Jesus
wants us to do - Love one another as He did and become one. All irritant issues
will automatically settle thereafter when the Hand of our God is with us to
resolve them.

Warm regards

Dearly Beloved

All are making good points, still why we are still not taking any action? We are
not seeing any results in the church, because we are just making everyone else
seem wrong! Our complaint is that the priests and high priests and bishops have
blood stains on their hands, but how about we look for our self and see is there
any on our hand?

More complaints can only lead us to the same state we are today, it is not going
to make any difference. I may not be able to quote from the bible or any other
famous quotes, but it is not going to make any difference in the church or in
you. It can only add more frustration to that which we all have already.

I have full faith on our church, since it is installed by Jesus, that it will
not get destroyed even if the people perish. It might be a good idea to go thru
old testament and see how GOD punished his people, but always there was a Moses
and Aron to plead for their people. Believe it or not, when a priest or
Bishop, stand at holy alter, he is doing the same pleading for you and me that
Moses did in the past; hence we all are saved.

We may need to consider why we are experiencing struggle, in Genesis 2:19

"Now the Lord God had formed out of the ground all the wild animals and all the
birds in the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and
whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name"

Why did God ask man to name everything? He could have named everything he
created, but God really "Empowered" each one of us to name anything in our life,
and it will be what you name it. This heavenly power is still present with
each one of us hence we cam immediately see the experience.

If you are not clear, consider the situation; if you think that the bishop is
wrong, you may behave in the manner that leads others to believe that he is
wrong; however, there might me thousands who act in such a way that leads others
to know that he is right. Here is something you can create for yourself also

I will fail in this exam
I may not clear this interview
My dad is not loving me
My son is not taking care of me.
My manager don't know anything

Immediately you can experience in your body whatever you created is "real". Why?
it is because, God give you the power to name anything, so it will appear and
you will experience it according to what you name it.

I have not read the bible completely, but whatever i covered so far, this
heavenly power God never revoked. If someone could validate, that will be great.

We can keep continue making wrong everyone in our life, or just accept the world
the way it is, then there is nothing to worry, everything will appear to you as
normal; at this time you can experience heaven on earth itself.

We complain, because none of us wanted to take any responsibility, we love
blaming others. Let us make a difference in our home, with our kids, wife and
husband, parents, family, relative, neighbor, office college, your staff,
workers then you can experience greatness when you go to church. I think this
was the simple message every religion is trying teach.

When Jesus taught us how to pray, there was three parts.
1. Decide what exactly you want from God
2. Believe that you already got what you want
3. Ask to Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus, it will be given

When our prayer does not contain the above basic fundamental principles, your
prayer is not meeting HIS requirement, hence it may not be answered, we cannot
blame God for not answering the prayer, because we are not following the
fundamentals

if you think church priests, high-priests and bishops are not guiding the church
in the right direction, walk with HIM in the right direction, then more people
will join, eventually your dream will be fulfilled, all priests, high priests
and bishops will follow you. Our Lord Jesus Christ showed us exactly same.
Sometimes our silence will make a big difference instead of raising voice.

Thank you Achen for bringing this subject for discussion, I am very positive
that we will raise up to expectation and will start listening to HIS words. Let
us pray to our God Almighty to give us the wisdom, to lead our life as true
Christians, instead of finding mistake in anyone, let us help our family,
community, church, workplace and bring integrity in our life. One Jesus Christ
give his life at cross and redeemed all of us. One Mahathma Gandhi stood for
freedom and justice, then India got Freedom. One Martin Luther King stood for
civil rights, and in America we are living in harmony with people of different
color and sects, one Narayana Guru stood against "Ayitham" and today every Hindu
is able to go to their temple in kerala. One Nelson Mandela stood for freedom
and got freedom for South Africa. One Suchi fighting for democracy in Myanmar
and getting her freedom for her country.

Yes, in the world for change, "You" only need to change, then everything will
happen. If we care for our church, let us make a difference in our daily life,
so that your life will be cherished and you can bring love and affection to your
family, community, church and for our country.

Thank you for your time
In Christ

Today with Jesus

"When he saw the crowd, he had compassion on them because they were confused and
helpless like sheep without a shepherd. (Mathew 9:36)

A young mental patient in Streetsville's GO station makes me shed tears with
compassion.

The number one challenge to the modern medical field is how to handle the
unprecedented growth of mental patients in all strata of people in all nations.
Once upon a time, it was a sickness with stigma attached and connected with
Satanic possession. It is a sickness that needs our pity, compassion and
support. The world is now disconnected with the Creators profound compassion
with love. Without support, the patients are on the verge of suicide and are
literally on the streets. The modern life style, work ethics, materialistic and
digitalised attitudes make it more confounded. The patients are confused and
helpless not knowing what to do.

The handout from the mental patient in Streetsville to the commuters at the
doorstep gives 10 tips for mental health.

1. Build confidence

2. Eat right, keep fit

3. Make time for family and friends

4. Give and accept support

5. Create a meaningful budget

6. Volunteer

7. Manage stress

8. Find strength in numbers

9. Identify and deal with moods

10.Learn to be at peace with yourself.

When I was dropping my wife at the GO station on May 8th, 2012, a young white
gentleman around 30 years old with beard and downcast eyes, was distributing
the handouts to each commuter entering the tunnel to the station at the
doorsteps. I did not pay much attention to him when accidentally, I happened to
look at him just as the last commuter was entering the tunnel. I was spellbound
to see him open the door with a smile and holding it till the man safely reached
the train. He even forgot to give the handout to him because he was more
concerned that he should not miss the train. Then, with a compassionate look, I
took the hand out from him and holding back my tears, spontaneously said a
prayer for him in my heart.

Prayer: Jesus, let all mental patients get your touch of compassion and love.
Let our homes and churches be supportive to them not just in words, but in
action and love. We pray for those who are in the healing ministry of mental
health. We pray for the parents, siblings and relatives of people suffering with
the sickness of mental health. We pray for the recovery of all mental patients.
All we ask in the name of Jesus. Amen.

CHRIST IS RISEN! TRULY HE IS RISEN!

"Learn then, brethren, what is the true imprint of the seal of Christ. You
faithful ones, recognize the features of His mark! Indeed, there is but one
seal, the illumination of the Spirit, although the forms of its energies are
numerous and the tokens of its virtues are manifold. The first and most
necessary of these is humility, for it is their beginning and foundation, as of
it He says, 'On whom will I look, but on him who is humble and contrite in
spirit, and trembles at My word?' (cf. Is. 66:2)."
