Sicilian American Gay Men is dedicated to gay guys in the USA who have Sicilian ancestry. Our focus is to discuss our various interconnected aspects and heritages -- as Sicilians, as Americans, as gays, and as men.

We include our mutually shared interests in both of our cultures (Sicilian and American), our past straight families of origin and our present gay families of creation, our religious heritages and spiritual aspirations, our secular concerns in the various communities and associations and occupations and avocational groups in which we participate.

We are a unique sociological entity, with our own particular psychosocial issues and ethical/moral values.

Above all, as Sicilian Americans, we cherish our social and cultural heritages; and, as gay men, we are proud of our gayness as well as of our maleness; we celebrate ourselves in all of these specific aspects of ourselves, although variously expressed and integrated together in many creative and loving ways.

We are here for each other, supporting ourselves in our life journeys, acknowledging positively our growth and developments, our struggles and our achievements, from childhood to adulthood to old age. Each phase has its particular challenges and opportunities for us, as Sicilian American Gay Men.

Let us walk alongside one another, speaking about ourselves, talking with ourselves, and discussing ourselves in the context of the wider communities of Sicilians, of Americans, of gays, and of men.

This is meant a safe place for us, where we are expected to be civil and serious, but also friendly and playful. No negative arguments nor personal affronts will be tolerated; if any group member does so, he will be immediately banned.
