Subject: Cancer

Some info gathered about CANCER... read for knowledge.

PLEASE READ AND FORWARD IT TO PEOPLE YOU CARE ABOUT

Useful Information on one of the deadliest diseases of our time: CANCER

1.         Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cell in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not  reached the detectable size.

2.       Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person's lifetime.

3.       When the person's immune system is strong the cancer cells will be destroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumours.

4.       When a person has cancer it indicates the person has multiple nutritional deficiencies. These could be due to genetic, environmental, food and lifestyle factors.

5.       To overcome the multiple nutritional deficiencies, changing diet and including supplements will strengthen the immune system.

6.          Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly-growing cancer cells and also destroys rapidly-growing healthy cells in the bone marrow, gastro-intestinal tract etc, and can cause organ damage, like liver, kidneys, heart, lungs etc.

7.          Radiation while destroying cancer cells also burns, scars and damages healthy cells, tissues and organs.

8.       Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation will often reduce tumor size. However prolonged use of chemotherapy and radiation do not result in more tumor destruction.

9.         When the body has too much toxic burden from chemotherapy and radiation, the immune system is either compromised or destroyed, hence  the person can succumb to various kinds of infections and complications.

10.             Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells to mutate and  become resistant and difficult to destroy.   Surgery can also cause cancer cells to spread to other sites.

11.        An effective way to battle cancer is to starve the cancer cells by not feeding it with the foods it needs to multiply.

12.        Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of digestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the intestines become putrefied and leads to more toxic buildup.

13.        Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By refraining from or eating less meat it frees more enzymes to  attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the body's killer cells to destroy the cancer cells.

14.        Some supplements build up the immune system (Schizandra, IP6, Flor-ssence, Essiac, anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals, EFAs etc.) to enable the body's own killer cells to destroy cancer cells. Other supplements like vitamin E are known to cause apoptosis, or programmed cell death, the body's normal method of disposing of  damaged, unwanted, or unneeded cells.

15.        Cancer is a disease of the mind, body, and spirit. A proactive and positive spirit will help the cancer warrior be a survivor. Anger, unforgiveness and bitterness put the body into a stressful and acidic environment. Learn to have a loving and forgiving spirit. Learn to relax and enjoy life.

16.        Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated environment. Exercising daily, and deep breathing help to get more oxygen down to the cellular level. Oxygen therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer cells.

CANCER CELLS FEED ON:

a.         Sugar is a cancer-feeder. By cutting off sugar it cuts off one important food supply to the cancer cells.   Sugar substitutes like NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc are made with Aspartame and it is harmful. A better natural substitute would be Manuka honey or molasses but only in very small amounts. Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in colour.   Better alternative is Bragg's aminos or sea salt.

b.         Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened soya milk cancer cells are being starved.

c.         Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat-based diet is acidic and it is best to eat fish, and a little chicken rather than beef or pork. Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth hormones and  parasites, which are all harmful, especially to people with cancer.

d.         A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into an alkaline environment.  About 20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels within 15 minutes to nourish and enhance growth of  healthy cells. To obtain live enzymes for building healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (most vegetables including bean sprouts) and eat some raw vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at  temperatures of 104 degrees F (40 degrees C).

e.         Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high caffeine. Green tea is a better alternative and has cancer-fighting properties. Water - best to drink purified water, or filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap water.  Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.

Emotional Bonding
Venkatesh Balasubramaniam (My friend) describes how his gesture of booking an air ticket for his father, his maiden flight, brought forth a rush of emotions and made him (Venkatesh) realize that how much we all take for granted when it comes to our parents.

My parents left for our native place on Thursday and we went to the airport to see them off. In fact, my father had never traveled by air before, so I just took this opportunity to make him experience the same. In spite of being asked to book tickets by train, I got them tickets on Jet Airways.
The moment I handed over the tickets to him, he was surprised to see that I had booked them by air. The excitement was very apparent on his face, waiting for the time of travel. Just like a school boy, he was preparing himself on that day and we all went to the airport, right from using the trolley for his luggage, the baggage check-in and asking for window seat and waiting restlessly for the security check-in to happen. He was thoroughly enjoying himself and I, too, was overcome with joy watching him experience all these things.
As they were about to go in for the security check-in, he walked up to me with tears in his eyes and thanked me. He became very emotional and it was not as if I had done something great but the fact that this meant a great deal to him.
When he said thanks, I told him there was no need to thank me. But later, thinking about the entire incident, I looked back at my life. As a child how many dreams our parents have made come true. Without understanding the financial situation, we ask for cricket bats, dresses, toys, outings, etc. Irrespective of their affordability, they have catered to all our needs. Did we ever think about the sacrifices they had to make to accommodate many of our wishes? Did we ever say thanks for all that they have done for us?
Same way, today when it comes to our children, we always think that we should put them in a good school. Regardless of the amount of donation, we will ensure that we will have to give the child the best, theme parks, toys, etc. But we tend to forget that our parents have sacrificed a lot for our sake to see us happy, so it is our responsibility to ensure that their dreams are realized and what they failed to see when they were young, it is our responsibility to ensure that they experience all those and their life is complete.
Many times, when my parents had asked me some questions, I have actually answered back without patience. When my daughter asks me something, I have been very polite in answering. Now I realize how they would have felt at those moments. Let us realize that old age is a second childhood and just as we take care of our children, the same attention and same care need to be given to our parents and elders.
Rather than my dad saying thank you to me, I would want to say sorry for making him wait so long for this small dream. I do realize how much he has sacrificed for my sake and I will do my best to give the best possible attention to all their wishes. Just because they are old does not mean that they will have to give up everything and keep sacrificing for their grandchildren also. They have wishes, too.

Watch "Hanuman" Animated Movie Online

Hanuman was blessed with supreme intelligence, strength and divine powers. As a baby, Hanuman was quite naughty and used his powers to pester the saints living in the nearby forest. Once, when he was hungry, he even leapt to catch the sun thinking it was a fruit [mango].

Blessed with divine powers, Hanuman grew up to be powerful and mighty. No harm could befall him from any weapons, while fire and water could not harm him either. He could overcome death and above all, he could transform his body to take the smallest form or attain the biggest form of life.

He befriended Lord Rama and Lakshmana in their search for Sita. Hanuman, with his super powers, helped Lord Rama and Lakshmana defeat Ravana and secure the release of Sita.

This is just a different thinking or concern !!

All the HDB blocks , must bear a notice board exclusively meant for the house owners to publish their advertisement releated to vacant unit.
The key for this advertisement board unit must be distributed across each houseowner , just like the post box keys to avoid postings by outsiders !!

So if somebody wants to find an accomodation in so and so place , he may go down to that particular area , find his desired block and look for the
vacant units availability in the publishing board.

Though all the HDB blocks have this small notice board currently , but they are used only by the community clubs !!!
This kind of small initiative by concerned authorities may provide a great service to the Civilians and foreigners !!!

regards
sm

We have rented a house. The owner has asked ask to vacate in two months time. We were unable to catch the agent. Next house the same problem in different manner. House owner was bankrupt. Again i was forced to search for a house in one month. Again the culprit agents are not punished under law. I dont know whether singapore has got a law for those kind of activities. Pl experss our concern about the house agents who cheat (Not all house agents). Also express our concern about the high rent rates in singapore

Why did Tiwari skip the Tehri Dam function?

By Our Staff Reporter
Dehradun, 30 July: Annoyed Chief Minister ND Tiwari
did not attend the inaugural function of the Tehri
Power Plant on Sunday. Speculation about the CM
skipping the inaugural function was in the air since
the past two-three days. Sources claim that Tiwari was
totally ignored as regards the programme, so he
decided to skip it. Here are some of the reasons that
kept the CM away from the function in Tehri, according
to insiders in Government and Party.

Reason 1: The name of the Chief Minster was not
mentioned in the invitation card. The CM was shocked!

Reason 2: He was not offered a prestigious role in the
inaugural function.

Reason 3: Tiwari wanted Sonia Gandhi to come for the
opening function. But, when she declined, the CM lost
interest in the function.

Reason 4: Sushil Kumar Shinde, Union Minister of
Power, is junior to ND Tiwari in politics and age.
Tiwari finds it awkward to be with partymen with high
portfolios in the Union Government who he feels
neither have his standing nor his stature. He was not
keen to attend.

Reason 5: It is said that Tiwari wanted inclusion of
the photographs of two Uttaranchal Ministers in the
advertisement prepared for the launch function. When
his request was turned down by a Union Secretary, he
felt offended.

Reason 6: Subodh Uniyal and Mantri Prasad Naithani,
MLAs from the Tehri region, received poor treatment.
The names of the two leaders were not inscribed on the
foundation stone of the Tehri Pumped Storage Plant.
They complained to Tiwari. With no importance being
given to the CM and local MLAs, matters, all of a
sudden, took an ugly turn.

Reason 7: It is likely that Tiwari is anyway not too
pleased with the control over the Tehri Dam of UP,
even though it is Uttaranchal that has paid the
environmental and human price for it.
