Welcome to SpecialKidsMoms discussion group! The goal here is to provide a forum for Catholic Moms who have been blessed with a special needs child. We can discuss all of the joys and heartaches that are specific to raising a child or children with a disability. This is a great opportunity to share experiences, resources and ideas in a supportive, loving and specifically Catholic way. The topics include but are not limited to special education, IEP's, early intervention, homeschooling your learning disabled child. The experience and challenge of raising a child who needs special care and attention is a great opportunity to live the Gospel and to further our relationship with God and the Blessed Mother. Hopefully, these discussions will provide information on how to best serve our children and in doing so how we can best serve God.
