Attention --Borderline Square is being Canceled Friday September 9,2011 due to Mud..
Read on -- Our friends in Morenci have informed us that the downtown is under contruction.
The parking lot is torn up.� Add rain --it is nothing but mud.� The ally next to where we dance is blocked off, and parking is limited.

Hello Dancers!
Just a reminder that Skirts and Shirts square dance club will be hosting their next dance on September 24th, Saturday evening, at Memorial Hall in Delta, Ohio. That is on Main Street, right in the center of town across from Delta's Public Library. If you are new, you might like to know that there is a parking lot on Wood Street across from the side of Memorial Hall. Just turn off Main Street at the light and you will see the lot.

The Johnsons are cueing, so you can be ready to round dance at 7:15 that evening. Squares will begin at 7:45 with Gene Eckley our caller.

As always there will be a tableful of delicious treats to keep up your energy, time to chat with new and old friends, and lots of dancing to keep you on your toes. We welcome all dancers, new and experienced, for an evening of enjoyment.

Couples are now $11 and Singles are $5.50 (correction from the flyer). We can't wait to see you Saturday night. Come on out! We'll be looking for you.

Just a reminder about our TRI CLUB DANCE THIS FRIDAY NIGHT, September 30, 2011

along with us are Turkey Foote Trotters and Borderline Squares. Maple City
Swingers will be hosting this dance.) We have Dick Duckham calling and Roger

October 8th, this Saturday, will be Delta's Skirts and Shirts Dance called by Sam Dunn and cued by Roger Latchaw. What a great pair! Dance will begin at 7:30 and conclude at 10:00 P.M. at Memorial Hall on Main Street across from the Delta Public Library. Parking is conveniently available on Wood Street.

Dear Square Dancer –

My name is Dayle Hodge and I have been a square dance caller for 30 years. I call regularly for several clubs in the DC / Baltimore area, and I travel for weekends and festivals throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest regions. I am passionate about square dancing and I want to see it grow and thrive.

I recently started the Square Dance Radio Network (SDRN) with my co-host Barb Jarvis. We offer a network of free podcasts and live shows for and by square dancers, callers, potential dancers, and organizers. We began in early-June with our first regular podcast, “The DoSaDo Show.”

Our mission is to provide entertaining and educational radio programming to promote and preserve Square Dancing.

Through the Radio Network, we plan to make a difference in square dancing by offering programming covering all aspects of the community. Thus far, our guests have included callers, dancers and organizers. This fall, we will be presenting a special series with a focus on recruitment. The new show will provide a venue for callers, clubs, organizations, festivals, and conventions to share recruitment techniques aimed at bringing more people into the square dance activity.

How can you help? “The DoSaDo Show” and “The Recruitment Connection” can be successful if YOU help spread the word. I have included a flyer for the Network. I ask that you take some of these to the dances you attend and make an announcement about us. Our goal is to tell the world about square dancing, the benefits, and the fun.

Many of you know and have enjoyed dancing with Bob and Barb Hancock from Bryan, OH, long time members of the Fountain City Squares.�� Their grandson Derek Hughes was killed in an automobile accident on Tuesday.� Please remember them through this time of grief.�

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 7, 2011, after 5:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan.� Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 8, 2011, in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, with visitation two hours prior to the service, beginning at 11:00 A.M.
