(http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/purpleveinsscenicgreens/ ) about a new
site that has tons of videos of Lush shows, but I also wanted to mention that
there are lots of gig-long videos for other amazing bands that made their names
in the 1990s like Curve, Jesus And Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine, Nirvana, and
many more.

Dead Leaf Echo's previous work with Ulrich Schnauss on their Pale Fire EP has now caught the attention of famed 4AD producer John Fryer (Cocteau Twins, This Mortal Coil) who has mixed their debut LP "Thought and Language" to be released later this year.
The band just played Escape to NY festival and SXSW last year on bills with The Psychedelic Furs and A Place to Bury Strangers and rocked sold out shows last year opening for 90's shoegaze legends Chapterhouse.

"This SXSW 2012 Artist Showcase feature reviews of several acts that are "made
of win" and deserve more attention, including mr. Gnome, The Twilight Sad, The
Black Ryder, Therapy?, Gossip, Dragonette, The Men, Ryat, Deafheaven, Tycho, La
Sera, and The Drums."
So many music artists, so little time and ability to cover them all, so I picked
out several of my personal highlights that hopefully will strike a chord with
you too.
Whew, it was a whirlwind writing and listening session to get that all in line,
but it's finished and posted at Delusions Of Adequacy.
http://www.adequacy.net/2012/03/sxsw-2012-artist-showcase/
Hope you enjoy my picks - and feel free to post here about those bands and
singers. What you like too, or if I didn't cover an artist that you like who's
performing or performed at SXSW 2012.
I did forget, and then didn't have time, to include several acts like Stars,
Redgrave, Chains of Love, Chairlift, and Metric - and probably a ton more that
escaped my notice!

stirring Florence Welch is at it again, blurring the line between the earthly
and the spiritual with her restless rave-ups and pained, emotive vocals that
seek release in song."

I absolutely love this UK music mag, at least its issues from the early 90s! It
covered cream of the crop bands like Lush, Curve, Suede, Nirvana, and Babes In
Toyland - everything I was into at that time period (and, well, that I'm still
into - LOL - talk about arrested (musical) development). Only certain pages
from each issue have been scanned, but it's a real blast from the past:
