* Ancestry of Elizabeth Taylor - Elizabeth Rosemond Taylor
was born February 27, 1932, in London, England. Her
parents, art dealers from St. Louis, Missouri, were
living abroad and setting up a gallery. The family lived
in London until Elizabeth was 7 when they relocated to
Los Angeles to escape World War II. Soon, her dark hair
and famously violet eyes attracted the attention of a
talent scout who suggested she do a screen test. By the
time she was 10, her first film There's One Born Every
Minute was being released. Elizabeth's personal life
(she's been married eight times), philanthropic ventures,
and acting roles have kept her in the spotlight for more
than 50 years.
