It is obvious by now that Bush Inc. has lied, is
lying, and will continue to lie about Iraq and just
about anything else that comes within its power to
affect.  Although domestic issues are for the
electorate to deal with, torture, and the Iraq matter
is something else.  These two issues are international
in scope, and deal with the relationship our
government has with the International order at large.
      Bush and Cheyney, and anyone high enough up in
their command structure to make a difference are
absolutely lying about both the torture of combatants
and domestic prisoners within their control.  They
obviously intend to continue this coverup right until
the very last.  There is plenty of evidence admissable
in any court to convict the lot of them of both
implementing a policy of torture and carrying it out.
Government memos bearing the official marks of the
govenment fashioned by this crew more than supply
ample evidence to make out a bona fide case against
them for violation of both U.S. and International laws
against torture.  Our bone-headed electorate may not
realize it, but it is being led by convictable,
sadistic criminals who would hand out long-term prison
sentences for the same conduct if perpetrated by
someone outside of their circle.
     The Iraq debacle may be more serious.  It is now
obvious that an aggressive war was begun by the Bush
government, contrary to the International common law
and U.N. law.  This has ruined Iraq, and upset the
balance of power within the community of nations.
      We can expect the rest of the world to react as
the world reacted to Hitler: at first making a
sustained effort to avoid a bigger war by acquiescing
to faits accomplis.  But the world's patience will run
out, and by some signs that can be seen if one knows
where to look, the end of the summer will be the time
when this happens unless the US attacks Iran earlier,
as some have forecast.
      We will not be seeing hordes of Chinese or
Russians storming the shores of the nation to set the
world order right.  This would only set off a nuclear
war, and destroy civilization.  What is more likely to
happen is a large international conference will be
called, outside the U.S., to demand that the US hand
over Bush and his accomplices after a formal
investigation has been run.  Of course Bush will not
go, and the nation will be put on war footing.  Then,
the other nations will impose sanctions on the US,
probably involving an oil boycott, or perhaps even a
complete boycott, to impose economic pressure on the
US.  This will lead to hard times for the U.S., and
more martial law: perhaps even a coup and the
imposition of a junta under the guise of a "national
emergency." Our allies will begin to fall away, and
our international position will be substantially
weakened. The Constitution will be "suspended"
although no provision for such exists within the
Constitution except in limited areas such as habeas
corpus.
     People who value the Constitution, international
law, the rule of law, democracy, and righteousness
will start taking steps to prepare, NOW.   There is
only so far the Bush Administration can go without
breaking world credibility, and this point is near to
being reached.  There is only so far you can go to
justify illegal policies and conduct as "in the
national interest" before it becomes clear that the
national interest has already been damaged by these
policies.  Citizens will have to chose, and they will
have to be very well informed, and very versed in the
Constitution, to make good choices.

Congress is currently investigating not only
letting the so-called "Patriot" Act expire, but it is
also investigating renewing and supplementing it with
more invidious enactments.
      We all know this act is unconstitutional. It
seems possible that there was not only no
justification for its passage, but that its passage
indeed was the motivation for the September 11, 2001,
incidents in New York City and other places which saw
nearly 3,000 people killed and the subsequent
unwarranted invasion of Iraq in March, 2003, which is
still continuing via an occupation of that land.
      Without endlessly rehashing the history of the
past four years, this "Patriot" Act has led to
innumerable violations of the U.S. Constitution by the
government, both within and without the country which
have seriously damaged our nation, and eroded the
faith that our allies and democracies everywhere have
had in us.
     It's time to end this obscene piece of
legislation, which was NOT EVEN READ BEFORE ITS
PASSAGE BY THE FOOLS WHO VOTED FOR IT.

     I WOULD SUGGEST THAT ALL RED-BLOODED AMERICAN
PATRIOTS HOLD PROTEST MARCHES AND DEMONSTRATIONS
AGAINST THE PHONEY "PATRIOT" ACT ON JULY 4, 2005. IT'S
TIME TO RE-ASSERT OUR INDEPENDENCE AGAIN FROM TYRANNY.
NO BICKERING, NO PARTISANSHIP, JUST A UNIFICATION FOR
THE CONSTITUTION, AND FREE SPEECH.

issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking proposing to extend campaign

question is whether the Internet will be allowed to continue as a First
Amendment forum for citizen political advocacy. What happens will affect
the future of independent political speech on the Internet for years to

DEMAND PRESIDENT BUSH RESPOND TO INQUIRY ABOUT 2002 MEETINGS DISCUSSING
PRETEXT FOR WAR

Dennis Kucinich and more than 90 other Members of Congress signed a letter
to President Bush written by Rep. John Conyers, Jr. (D-MI), Ranking
Minority Member of the House Judiciary Committee, seeking answers to
troubling questions raised by the leaked minutes of a U.S./U.K. meeting in
2002. According to the minutes of this meeting, published on May 1 by the
London Times and now commonly known as the Downing Street Minutes (or,
incorrectly, the Downing Street Memo), U.S. and U.K. officials met months
before Congress was consulted about going to war and discussed creating a
pretext for the invasion of Iraq. The minutes include the following quote
about an earlier meeting between the head of British Military Intelligence
and the Bush Administration:

"Bush wanted to remove Saddam, through military action, justified by the
conjunction of terrorism and WMD. But the intelligence and facts were
being fixed around the policy. The NSC had no patience with the UN route,
and no enthusiasm for publishing material on the Iraqi regime's record.
There was little discussion in Washington of the aftermath after military
action."

We are all being asked to sign a letter similar to the one the Members of
Congress sent. Somewhere around 100,000 signatures already have been
collected and Rep. Conyers has announced an updated goal of 250,000. Read

NORML People, no doubt most of you have heard of the US Supreme Court
decision 6-3 in favor of the government, (O'Conner, Renquist, and Thomas
dissenting) in that medical marijuana is illegal under Federal Law.
As your leader, I was on WJR, WWJ, Detroit News, National Radio, Metro
Times, etc. today, so pardon me for not posting something earlier.
I told the media that this is a very sad day, with so many problems
confronting this country from terrorists, hard core criminals and seriously
dysfunctional persons, that Federal resources will continue to be used to persecute
sick persons who need this medicine, under a doctors care.
In reality, state and local laws are what they are. That is, some
protection for the sick is better then nothing. Local laws in Detroit and Ann Arbor
still stand, as they do in California, Oregon, Nevada, Maine and 7 other states
which are with us.
Local and State Police as appropriate, are agents of the state and local
authorities. They are not federal agents. Voter power is where it's at.
Medical marijuana was passed in California in 1996, and that law was
always in conflict with federal law. When Bush/Ashcroft decided to continue to
arrest medical mj patients, a lawsuit was filed against the government and the
people won in the 9th Circuit Federal Court. So, for two years, the Feds. could
not arrest sick people in the western USA states that passed these laws.
Unfortunately, they can now start doing so again
My friends, some protection from federal tyranny is better then nothing.
I hope our activists in Ferndale, Flint and Traverse City will continue
the fight and not lose heart.
My suggestion as head of Michigan NORML, is that we proceed as planned
with ballot initiatives in Ferndale, Flint and Traverse City.

This important bi-partisan provision, scheduled to be introduced next week
by Reps. Maurice Hinchey (D-NY) and Dana Rohrabacher (R-NY) as an
amendment to the 2005 Justice Department appropriations bill, would
prohibit the DOJ and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) from
spending taxpayers' dollars for the purpose of pursuing "any criminal or
civil penalty or remedy against any person for the production,
distribution, or use of marijuana for medicinal purposes in a state that
authorizes that production, distribution, or use."

Writing for the Court's majority, Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens
said that he longs for the day when medicinal cannabis advocates "may be
heard in the halls of Congress."  The 2005 Hinchey/Rohrabacher medical
marijuana amendment does just that -- giving Congress the opportunity to
go on record to protect and support the health and safety of patients who
use cannabis therapeutically in compliance with the laws of their state.
A vote on the amendment is expected as early as next Wednesday, so members
of Congress urgently need to hear overwhelming support from their
constituents.  Please call and/or e-mail your member of the US House
Representatives today and ask them to vote "yes" in favor of the
Hinchey/Rohrabacher medical marijuana amendment.  A pre-written letter is

The U.S. Supreme Court Puts the Medical Marijuana Issue in Congress' Court.
Urge Your Member of Congress to Vote for the Hinchey-Rohrabacher Medical
Marijuana Amendment!

In response to this week's Supreme Court ruling granting the Justice
Department the authority to prosecute state-authorized medicinal cannabis
patients for violating the federal Controlled Substances Act, members of
the US House of Representatives may vote as early next Tuesday, June 14th,

patients who use medical cannabis in compliance with state laws.

Citizens in nine states and the District of Columbia have voted to protect
patients afflicted with HIV/AIDS, cancer, multiple sclerosis, and other
horrible diseases from arrest and prison, and three states have enacted
medical marijuana laws though their state legislatures. National polls
consistently show that around 70% of Americans support medical marijuana
access for seriously ill patients. Yet, sadly, the federal government
continues to raid and arrest these patients.

European options now with the loss of my case before
the European Court for Human Rights.  I expect to be
deported soon.  I will try to get to Sara G. as soon
as possible after that happens.  I can tell you a few
