Gavin peeked in just as Ivy was drawing out her cards. "Oh, good - I didn't
mean to stand you up...I was called away." A smell that brought to mind
green growing things and idyllic summers gave lie to the scorch marks and
cuts on his face and arms, and the dark sticky patches of *something* on his
clothes.

"I'll be an hour wrapping things up then getting presentable", he continued,
"is there anything I should bring back for either of you?"

On clarifying their needs, he pushed away from the wall, swaying a bit
before re-focusing and continuing up the hall...
