This is for all Scouts + all BIG kids, interested in the Metalwork Merit badge. The forge demos will continue during weekends at Historic Fort Wayne. Since 2004 there have and will continue to be freshly forged custom ironwork added to the CCB latrines as needed, and D-A, starting in 2011.
In October of 2011, I became a member of the Historic Fort Wayne Coalition, who maintains the 1845 Civil War Star Fort on the Detroit River. {I-75 south at Exit 46, follow the signs} I also am one of those who does demos in the fort's blacksmith shop there. Creating iron items here, to slowly return the luster of one of Detroit's secret charms, and to continue to produce items for the camp - indoors.
