I created this for my daughter who loves the Sudoku puzzles but can't do the regular one. Only it uses pictures not numbers - and to make it easier so they don't have to draw they can cut out the missing pictures, rearrange until they get it and then glue them in place if they like. Let me know how you all like this.
check it out if you ever find your activist blood boiling over school
poslicies this day - cool conference coming up too:

We are trying to find a way to get some of our intervention students
to learn their sight words. This is really a problem for these
students. Any suggestions or programs that have worked for you?
Thanks!

Leah,
No suggestions or programs. But, I just uploaded 10 stories for winter and
a couple of predictable books. I am hoping to make another series for
Spring, Easter and Valentines Day. It is just reading practice that uses
the first 40-50 words. BUT, you could use the same concept with
additional words. Kids love these because the are quick and easy for them.
Teachers like them because they are free and reproducible. Just access my
website below and go to the teacher resource page. There are other flat
stories in previous years, but most of them used CVC words.

Hi everybody, I was wondering if you any knowledge about the difference between a mimio and a smartboard could you let me know? I know nothing about a mimio except that I got an email about them. What is the difference I know the price, but I already have a laptop and a LCD projector. I wasn't sure if a mimio would be something I could use or not?
My school has purchased 2 for classrooms and we went to a training session, first one, last week. I just wasn't sure if this is something I really would want or need to have in my classroom. Any thoughts or ideas? THANKS SO MUCH! Email me at kellybrown@... so we won't tie up the ring with this question! Kelly
I don’t know anything about
Smartboards, BUT Vanna from TX on preschool chat board is pretty
knowledgeable. You might contact her.

I have never heard of a mimio but we have smartboards in our Head Start program and I love it.Whatever you do on the computer shows up on the smartboard. You can also write on them with the accompanying pens or with your finger. We just got ours last year and I use it a lot. Your tv can also be hooked up to it.

Hi, all. If you need something for your classroom, or have
something you don't use but someone else might, take a look
at the site below. It is a place where teachers can buy or
sell classroom items with no buyer or seller fees. A great
place for new teachers to build up classroom materials, as
many retired teachers are selling theirs! It is not a
discussion group. Enjoy!

A mimio can attach to any whiteboard to turn it into a ‘smartboard’.
You have to calibrate it to use it when you attach it to your white board ( it
is magnetic). They are good if you want to be able to take it with you or
if you don’t want to use a smartboard all the time. I believe
they also cost a lot less.
