Thanks to all the volunteers who have offered to help Westmont staff
in July and August.  Although we are in good shape, we still need
more parents/students to be adequately prepared for the beginning of
the new school year.  Please take a look at what's left below and

WESTMONT DAILY BULLETIN  Monday, August 29th 2005 "A" Day

ATTENTION STUDENTS:  This is a reminder that Westmont is a closed
campus. In order to leave at lunch you must show your schedule with a
no 3rd or 7th period. No schedule, no release.  (Mr. DiGrazia)

WESTMONT:  The girls' bathroom will not be ready until September
6th.  The girl's bathroom in the gym lobby will be available at
brunch and lunch. (Mr. DiGrazia)

EXTRA, EXTRA, READ ALL ABOUT IT: Get your copy of the Shield,
Westmont's newspaper tomorrow in your 6th period. You can also get a
copy of the Shield in room 58.  (Mr. Evans)

AUDITIONS FOR GREASE will be held after school in the cafeteria
tomorrow and Wednesday.  Nothing is required to audition - just come
out and show us that you know GREASE is the word!  We will teach you
a song and a dance!  All roles are open and we are hoping to see the
whole school come out for this rockin and rollin cool show! See you
Tuesday or Wednesday or both days!  The more we see you, the better
chance you have! Rock on!

WORK EXPERIENCE:  There is no work experience until Wednesday,
September 7 in the career center at 7:00 am.

ATTENTION CAMERA SHY SENIORS: Did you miss your summer Senior
Portrait appointment?  Your deadline is coming soon! Do not miss out

STUDENTS:  Please support Girls Field Hockey! Catch any "chicks with
sticks" and buy candy for only one dollar. They will be selling for

WESTMONT WARRIORS:  Fashion Club is in full effect and we are having
our first meeting today at lunch in room 11. There will be treats for
all who come.  (Ms. Matsui)

give them to your Guidance Advisor as soon as possible.  Classes are
full. We will not be making any more changes after this week.

WESTMONT:  There is a Botball/Robotics meeting tomorrow after school
in room 44.  (Mr. Anderson)

ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS:  Wondering what you can do to make a
difference in the lives of the people devastated by Hurricane
Katrina?  Come to the dance this Friday night and bring a can food,
canned pet food, or money and your ticket will only be 5 dollars
regularly 7 dollars.   Come get your glow on.  The first 100 people
will receive a glow in the dark object.  (Ms. Sweeney)
STUDENTS:  Westmont is working together with other organizations to
help the people in New Orleans.  If you want to contribute please
drop off pennies, spare change or canned food to the Activities
office.  Also, look for the buckets in your classroom.  Our goal is
to raise one thousand dollars to help support the victims. (Ms.
Sweeney)

ATTENTION ALL JUNIORS AND SENIORS: Do you want to pre order a cool
homecoming shirt?  If you bought a Senior or Junior T-shirt, you can
purchase a homecoming shirt for only 5 dollars in the activities
office.  Come and put your name on a list.  If you do not pre order,
they will be 10 dollars when they come in.  1 dollar of your 5
dollars will be send to the victims in New Orleans. Thank you (Ms.

Classes start this Saturday.  It is a great class and half the cost

ALL STUDENTS:  Now is the time to get your yearbook for 80 dollars.
In the spring they will be 100 dollars and you will not be able to
get into all the games.  At Prom time you save 10 dollars alone.
There are five home games that is a savings of 35 dollars. If you do
not have your ASB card, then you will pay 5 dollars for each game.

WESTMONT:  Back to School night is September 22nd.  Are you an artist
or are you good at making crafts?  We will be auctioning off our very
own photos, student art work and crafts to send to the victims
affected by Hurricane Katrina.  If you have something you would like
to contribute, see Amy Harmer or Ms. Sweeney in the activities office.

CONGRATULATIONS to all those in the cast & crew of our upcoming show:
GREASE!  The show is going to be fantabulous!  We also want to
welcome our newest cast members:  Mrs. Heinrichsen & Mrs. Walton as
the Principal Ms. Lynch, Ms.  Figueroa & Mrs.  Lawson as the
Cheerleading Advisor, Coach Cupie, Ms. Angell & Ms. Hooper as the
Singing Teen Angel, Ms. Del Bono as the Mystery Guest, and Mr.
Mansfield & Mr. Parks as the DJ -  Vince Fontaine!  This show is
going to be a rock and roll sensation!  Tickets go on sale in just
three weeks!  Until then, remember, Grease is the word!

registration price but it will not be for long.  $185.00 gets your
family the booster pass and more, $120.00 everything but the booster
pass and $100 yearbook, homecoming shirt, 2 for 1 card and day

WESTMONT:  Come to the game on Friday night.  Whether or not you are
a sport player, you will be expected to pay $5.00 at the gate.  JV
football, you must go around to the front of the gate after your

Taste of Theatre Tickets on Sale Now!
The Westmont Drama Department invites you to "A Taste of
Theatre" on Saturday, October 1st at 6:30 p.m. in the
Cafetorium. For $15.00 (adults) or $10.00 (students), you
can enjoy a spaghetti dinner (with appetizers and dessert),
be entertained by roving student performers, bid on silent
auction items, and see a sneak preview of the fall musical,
Grease. Also, tickets for Grease will go on sale for the
first time at this event, so you'll want to attend so that
you can be sure to get your Grease tickets before they're
all sold out. Tickets for "A Taste of Theatre" can be

ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS:  Do you want to look back at the 2006 year
book and say" Those Were The Days" and that is me. This is your
chance to turn in your pictures if you have something going on like
sports, hobbies, collections, pets, traveled to other countries or if
you have a favorite hang out spot or restaurant. Turn in pictures of

ideas.  The Westmont newspaper  is currently building its 3rd issue.

Saturday, October 15th. You must have a doctor's physical card (buff
