Description
Young Feminist Network (YFN), a ministry of Women’s Ordination Conference, is a national, diverse and inclusive community of womanist, mujerista and feminist Catholics in our 20’s and 30’s. We are a Roman Catholic group who recognizes the issues we address affect people regardless of religious affiliation.
Our mission is to equip and moblize young Catholic women to integrate faith with feminism and to eliminate oppression within ourselves, society and the Roman Catholic Church.
The Young Feminist Network offers this national discussion-based online community for our members to dialogue about issues that matter most to younger feminist Catholics.
We are committed to creating safe and sacred space for our members to discuss issues of church reform, feminism, culture and women's ordination. To do this, we have created the following guidelines to create safe and sacred space on the Young Feminist Network online community:
1. Introduce ourselves to each other! Once you have "settled in" to the list, please send a short introduction of yourself to the community so other members can know a little about you and your interests.
2. Please keep the emails sent over the list confidential, and please ask the sender before you forward a message to others, unless it is noted that it’s okay to forward to others.
3. Send responses to entire community, or if you would like to email someone off the list and you do not know her personally, please let her know clearly that you are emailing off the list.
4. Use the subject line of your post to give an accurate description of its content. This particularly helps when members are searching through past messages.
Thank you for your interest and participation in the Young Feminist Network. To learn more about YFN, please visit http://www.womensordination.org/pages/YFN
