SKY WATCH December 5 2004
from The Sunday Telegraph's body+soul

A few months ago, a commissioning editor asked me if I'd like to
write two articles for a one off magazine she was heading up. She
wanted one astrological feature and one non-astro. I asked her if the
non-astro one could be about angels.

"What is it with angels at the moment?" she replied. "Everybody wants
to write about angels. I've already have about three or four writers
ask to do that subject."

Whatever it is about angels, it seems they're in vogue. Angels have
always been a part of traditional Western religion, though they've
been depicted more as mythical creatures than as real beings. Even
so, many of us grow up being told that we have 'a guardian angel'
nearby, should we need help. In fact, according to Diana Cooper,
author of A Little Light On Angels, we are all surrounded by many
angels all the time. Some people are lucky enough to see them, often
during their darkest hour. They report seeing white light around
beings with wings, just like they're always depicted.

If you've ever wondered about angels, this week is an excellent time
to ask your angels for help, as the Sun moves from an aspect with
Neptune to an aspect with Jupiter. Apparently they are available to
assist us with anything, from cooking, to driving when we're tired,
to finding love.

If you need help with healing a hurt, this is one of the best weeks
of the year for it, so ask the angels of healing to come to your
side. Ditto if you need help to let go of an idea you know you've
become obsessive about. Mercury is still going backwards and this
week he goes over Pluto again (he did this a few weeks back). This
means some of us are going to find it harder than we should to mind
our own business. However, the point of this second meeting is for us
to realise that sometimes letting people open up to us in their own
good time is far preferable to demanding answers. Ask your angels for
help if you need it.

YOUR STARS DECEMBER 6 2004

Scroll down for the Weeklies ... Also, have a listen to the phone
line if you've never called it ... it now has a Moon line too ...

If it's your birthday this week

LOVE If want you want is love which rocks your world and makes you
crazy, you might be a bit disappointed over the next 12 months. If
what you want is love which is lasting and secure, you're in the
right place at the right time. Take it a little slowly.

WORK Take a little time over the next 12 months to slowly but surely
build up your reputation. If you need to work on how others see you,
this is the year for it. A image revamp is entirely possible. Work
projects started this year have an excellent chance of longevity.

CASH Fancy a bit of a flutter? There's nothing to say you won't win
if you gamble this year, but your stars are much more supportive of
Sagittarians who take the long view re finances now. Forget getting
rich quick and looking for long term investments and safe, steady
stocks.

ARIES

One thing you're learning at the moment is that the more love you
throw at something, the better it goes. For example, re your work, if
you do it with love, the day passes more quickly. And if you can't do
your actual job with love, then if you can find warm feelings for
your colleagues, ditto. Your love and money chances are good this
week, and the more love and caring you put into whatever you tackle,
the better. As in all you do, it's a matter of channelling your
energies wisely. Don't waste an ounce, a gram or a kilo of all the
good you have to give. On a less esoteric note, new work, travel and
study ventures are well starred.

TAURUS

Sometimes, when you say sorry to someone, or they say sorry to you,
it sort of feels good but not all that real, nor that long lasting.
At other times, you can say it and you know that the old wound, the
past rift, the pain is healed. This is a week when the second option
is possible. If you have someone to forgive, or you need someone's
forgiveness, go out after it. The reconciliation will endure. Venus
and Mars in your relationships zone are still giving you all the
cosmic chances you could wish for to make love and not war. Settle
the past, get over it and move on, where you need to, and welcome new
friendships with a clear heart.

GEMINI

The number 9 is said to be powerful. There are various way to arrive
at 9. You could do 3 x 3 or 8 + 1 or 2 x 3 + 3 or ... you get the
idea. And there are various ways you can talk to yourself this week.
You can listen, reflect and decide. You can make your mind, but keep
your decision to yourself while you mull it over. You can question
whether or not you did the right thing until your head explodes. You
could talk to a friend, ask him/her to be a sounding board, and see
where that gets you. And when you're done with all the talking and
listening and thinking, to feel really empowered, try doing a
slightly less Gemini type thing, and see how you feel.

CANCER

Just before the New Moon is a tricky time for Cancerians. For one
thing, you get so much energy from the monthly lunation and just
before it, you can feel like you're running on reserve power. What's
more, just before the New Moon, the Moon disappears from the sky,
something which is at least subconsciously disconcerting for Moon
children. Then there's the prospect of change, which always comes
with a New Moon, since every one effectively heralds the start of a
new chapter in your life. This week's New Moon is giving you great
power. Don't worry if you can't feel it straight away. Just relax and
breathe, and decide what you want to do, because you're about to be
given a choice.

LEO

There's a chance to turn the corner and/or to do some renegotiating
where one important relationship is concerned. If in doubt, keep it
light and bright, rather than allowing any dark thoughts to come
seeping through. And if the dark thoughts won't go away, make sure
they're based on truth and not founded on fear before you pay them
too much attention. This is a potentially very happy time for Leos,
as long as you keep reminding yourself that you're entitled to have a
little fun. If you have to make some changes in order to slip some
enjoyment into your schedule, so be it. Meanwhile, creative Leos have
great stars now. Don't be afraid to rework what you did earlier.

VIRGO

Don't worry if you can't seem to come to a final decision on a matter
connected to the home or the people you live with. There's no rush
and even if it feels like it is, you really could find that matters
you delay deciding upon now turn out to your advantage. For one
thing, you may well not yet have all the facts you need. Meanwhile
the Moon activates Uranus in your love zone, so if your beloved or
some other VIP in your life starts acting a little weirdly don't
worry. It could be a passing phase <then again, with your stars right
now, it might not be!>. As usual, there is no point in trying to
control what's uncontrollable.

LIBRA

If you've been feeling at all like you keep saying the wrong thing at
the wrong time, Mercury and Jupiter are going to do all they can this
week to cure you of any suspected foot in mouth disease. What's more,
if you've been finding it hard to stay positive, if you've fond
yourself thinking more negative thoughts than is helpful, there is
also help at hand. All you need to do is make a commitment. Promise
yourself to do all you can to be your diplomatic best, and to say
sorry for anything you blurted out recently which you know you
shouldn't have. And become a member of the Thought Police. Caution
yourself every time you thoughts start drifting into negative
territory.

SCORPIO

The New Moon in your cash zone means you can start a new financial
chapter this week. If you know half the problem is that you've come
to fear money, like those people who won't open their bills when they
arrive, this is the time to do something about it. Facing up to the
facts where money is concerned is a fine idea now. Admitting where
you've overspent is also recommended. Talking to someone who can help
you out with making a budget is yet another possibility. The times
are changing and if you need to rework your bank accounts, this is an
excellent time to do it. You could be back on top financially sooner
than you think, if you act now.

SAGITTARIUS

It's all happening for Sagittarians right now. Pluto, who's enjoying
a long sojourn in your sign, is joined this week by the New Moon and
Mercury, who's going backwards. For many Sagittarians, this is a
wildly exciting time. You can sense there are new starts available to
you now. And you're right. The things is, though, that the new start
isn't going to happen by magic. It's like you have a window of
opportunity in which to take action, and it's up to you to hang on to
that new sense of faith you can feel welling up inside you and to do
something. Mercury suggests the last piece of the puzzle could be to
rethink the way you're coming across to people.

CAPRICORN

If you read your stars hoping to find out that there's love, or money
or a lucky break coming you're way, you're in luck. As Venus heads to
link with your ruler Saturn, any of those three possibilities are,
well, possibilities. Although perhaps it's not quite right to call
the third option 'a lucky break'. Perhaps it would be more aptly
described as 'a welcome break', or 'a little relief from the
grind...' However it manifests for you, you'd do well to keep your
eyes wide open for 'a moment's pleasure', which is due your way now.
And if what you most want is 'a chance for you and your partner to
fall back in love', you could be about to get lucky.

AQUARIUS

If it's been all work, work, work, lately, you might be pleased to
hear that you're about to get to have some fun, fun, fun. The New
Moon is in your friends zone, suggesting that there are at least a
few invitations headed your way. The other thing about this New Moon,
though, is that it's also in what's known as your wishing zone. All
this week is the perfect time to wish upon a star. If you really want
to put your heart and soul into the wish, do it at exactly 11.30am on
Sunday. Be sure to think before you wish, though. Is what you're
asking for outdated? Is there something new you could set your heart
on? Don't be shy.

PISCES

The New Moon in your work zone heralds the start of a new
professional cycle. But if you're reading this and expecting some
mega changes to instantly happen as if out of the blue, you could be
disappointed. Unless the lunation hits your personal chart exactly,
you will probably be required to take an active part in bringing the
changes about. The good news is that people around you are more than
willing to listen to what you have to say about new ways you'd like
to do things from now on. Where romance is concerned, a foreign break
with your beloved, or a beloved from far away could be just what Dr
Love ordered. New study plans are also very well starred.

SKY WATCH December 12 2004
from The Sunday Telegraph's body+soul

Quick! Drop everything! Grab and pen and paper and write down the ten
things you would most like to have happen in your world. Yes, it's
that time of the month again, the New Moon.

All New Moons are good for wishing on. Or if the concept of wishing
is too airy fairy for you, perhaps you can relate better to the idea
that they're the marker of a good time to organise your aims, goals
and intentions. All New Moons are not the same though. Much depends
on what sign they're in and what planets they're linking to, as well
as to how they affect your personal chart.

This month's New Moon is quite an intense lunation, as it happens
near the most powerful and passionate planet of them all, Pluto.
Pluto is like the great insinkerator of the skies, and just wants to
gobble up your waste and spit it out. Except that sounds like an easy
process, and there's nothing simple about a Pluto transit.

It's often said that a Pluto transit is more psychological than
tangible. Here's how to spot one; if you feel like you've put a part
of your life through a waste disposal unit, and you're left a whole
lot of shredded stuff which you're meant to now use as a compost heap
upon which to build your future ... that's Pluto.

The New Moon takes place at 11.30am AEST, in the sign of Sagittarius.
For best results, write and read your list of aims out loud at the
exact moment. Meanwhile, the Moon moves into Capricorn on Monday
morning, making Monday a good day for hard work. Tuesday and Thursday
nights are not recommended for first dates. Friday night, Moon in
Pisces, looks the most romantic of the week, but remember Mercury
retrograde misunderstandings are still extra possible. Happily,
Venus' into Sagittarius means we should all find it a little easier
to laugh off minor mix ups.

Have you checked out my Astro books for 2005?

Week beginning Decemmber 12 2004

If it's your birthday this week

LOVE Trying to get your lover to behave in exactly the way you want
him or her to is not your best bet this year. Rather, gather up all
your patience and allow your beloved to go as mad as he/she wants.
Take the long view and be patient.

WORK This coming year will provide you with unexpected opportunities
to broaden your horizons and quite possibly to take on more duties in
return for a pay bonus. Don't just grab every opportunity because
it's there, though. Make sure you're getting yourself into something
you're going to love doing,

CASH You can either set a little aside every month this year, and
come out this time in 2005 with a nest egg (or at least be able to
pay any sudden bills which arrive along the way). Or you could live
like there's no tomorrow (which there actually will be).

ARIES

As the year draws to its grand finale, all you need to worry about
really is if you're sticking to your game plan and using your energy
wisely. This plan doesn't have to be the one you started the year
with. Lord knows a lot has changed in the last 11 and a half months
and Aries are far to smart and quick not to move with the times. But
think back to the last time you decide to resort and restructure your
goals. What promises did you make for yourself and others? And are
you now coming up with the goods? If not, this week will get you back
on track so you can head towards 2005 feeling like you've really
achieved something.

TAURUS

Sometimes it really can feel as though what the Universe gives you
with one hand, it takes away with the other. But that's only when
you've got your face pressed up too close to the picture to see it
clearly. This week, there is a chance you'll get at least one
surprise which you're not 100% keen on. Don't panic! It really might
not be anything major. And besides, the whole point of this surprise
is to see if you are able to go with the flow. There is something a
whole lot more stable and enjoyable around the corner. The question
is can you give up the shiny thing you thought you wanted for
something less glam but more long lasting?

GEMINI

By the end of the week, Mercury will have ended his latest reverse
cycle. Before you start bringing out the bunting and generally making
merry, stop for a moment and consider, that in fact, Mercury
retrograde does have its advantages. Only this week, it's reverse
cycle is giving you a chance to think bigger, more optimistically and
with a wider perspective, as well as helping you out if you need to
be creative, poetic or even romantic. What's more, all these chances
are second chances. If you messed up a while back, you're being given
another opportunity to sort things out. Can you see how your ruler's
regular backwards jog does actually do you some good? Take any second
chances you need now.

CANCER

If there are big or little changes you want to make to your daily
work routines, or to your health regime, this is the time to start
overhauling. If you have bad health habits you were thinking of
dropping for your New years Resolution, try doing it now, as the Sun
and Pluto give you a helping hand. (It really isn't going to be much
easier in January you know!). And if you can't quit smoking or eat
more healthily at this time of the year, at least make sure you get
enough rest and take some vitamins. The heavens really are trying to
get you in good shape ... for the love action which is just around
the corner. Ooo la la!

If you were the King or the Queen of the World, what changes would
you make? On a world scale? On a local scale? And what about in your
personal life? What would you get rid of? What would you pare back?
What would transform your life for the better? Really think about it
for a moment. Jot down one answer to each question. And then believe
me when I tell you that at least on a local and personal scale, you
have the power to make it happen. In fact, you have a lot more power
than you might realise right now. The trick is not to abuse it, not
to allow it to go to your head and not to panic.

VIRGO

If money feels like the big issue standing between you and a fabulous
life, have a little faith. Sure Jupiter in your cash zone has
possibly done as much to swell your bills as your coffers, but this
week sees you more able than usual to look on the bright side. Rather
than looking around for a quick fix, think instead about how you can
change things at home and at work so that you're on a more solid
financial footing. If there's one work duty or obligation you just
don't feel you can handle, though, now is the time to start thinking
about how to ease yourself out of it. Lovewise, it looks like trying
something new is your best bet.

LIBRA

This isn't a week to 'quit while you're ahead' exactly, but it's not
far off it. When it comes to chasing that dream, that goal, the
ambition, this week, you're going to find that a slow and steady
approach helps you get to where you want to go. The temptation,
though, once you almost have the prize in the bag, could be to get
over-excited and to ... well, I don't want to give you a negative
self-fulfilling prophecy, so I will just say that the smart money
this week is on Librans who edge ever closer to their goal and then
manage to stay as cool, calm and collected as they were before they
arrived at this state of near-triumph.

SCORPIO

With Venus and Mars playing around in your sign, money might not be
the first thing on your mind. However, as we cruise towards that most
expensive time of year, it really won't hurt to think about your
finances now, especially as you're at the start of a new chapter and
so much of what follows depends on how you play it now. The trick is
to act like you're rich. That doesn't mean splurging non-stop though!
Haven't you ever noticed, really rich people are usually quite
clever, careful and cautious about how they dispense their cash. Try
doing the same and see how it feels. You don't have to be mean, but
really consider your purchases before making them (etc!).

SAGITTARIUS

Just when you think that You Know Who is about to tell you exactly
what you want to hear, you start to have doubts. You Know Who senses
this, and starts to have doubts too. You both stop to have a think.
This is the point where you need to take action. Think big. Talk big.
Use a bit of positive suggestion to forward your case along a little.
Then be patient. Conversations and situations which you think are
going your way, and then which seem to slip through your fingers
shouldn't cause you too much anxiety now. You're going to have at
least one more chance to bag the prize. Try not to over-think the

CAPRICORN

It doesn't get much better than this, at least in theory. This week,
both Venus and Mars make great aspects to your ruler Saturn. Now not
only are Venus and Mars the most romantic double act of the zodiac,
but they're doing their links from super sexy Scorpio. Which means
you really do have the chance of some good loving ahead of you now.
And if you're just not in the love zone, don't despair. This week's
planetary activity will also help defrazzle Capricorns who've been
working too hard. If nothing else, this is the week when it should
start to feel like it's nearly Christmas. Whatever else you do,
schedule in at least one quiet and early night of pampering this
week.

AQUARIUS

You're a practical sign, sure, but you do have a super dreamy side.
And this week as the Moon slides over Neptune, expect to get in touch
with the part of you that yearns and sighs. Of course, when Neptune's
active, there's a good chance that things aren't quite what they
seem, someone could be kidding someone else (not you, surely?) and
someone else could be taking refuge in drinking too much or partying
too hard or ... Mind how you go this week and you could end it
feeling quite inspired. Take in too much Christmas spirit and you
could end up with a mighty hangover! Strangely, amid all this, you
have excellent work stars and the office Christmas party looks a
riot.

PISCES

This is a hectic time in most offices, but if you know you need to
sort out an important salary issue, this could be the week to do it
in. If you made an agreement re cash recently which you're not happy
about, this could be an excellent time to renegotiate it. Have a
think about if you've perhaps picked up some vital bit of info
recently which you can use to your advantage as you state your case.
Meanwhile, Pisceans wanting romance should look to a foreigner, to
someone well-travelled or just get away from it all with a pal and
see what happens. Also an excellent week to make your next smart move
based on your hunches and instincts.

SKY WATCH December 19 2004
from The Sunday Telegraph's body+soul

Merry Christmas! Well, we might not be quite there yet, but it's less
than a week away. The excellent news from the planets this week as we
head into the heart of the silly season is that the planet of
communications, Mercury, will start going forward again tomorrow
around 5.30pm. Depending on how the recent retrograde cycle hit your
chart, this is either good news ... or great news!

If you're one of the people who feel as though you've been lost in a
total mess of confusion lately, incapable of decision, feeling like
technology was put on earth not to help but to hinder you, as though
you've been speaking a different language to everyone else, chances
are that the Mercury cycle touched your personal chart with a lot of
zing. If, however, you've just experienced mildly annoying mix ups,
travel and computer glitches, you've probably not been personally
personally pinged by the cycle.

Once you've decided which category you fall into, here is the
important bit. If you're in the first, then there was also something
very important that you learned recently, most likely since November
12. A key piece of information which has taught you something,
enlightened you about something, sorted something out for you. By
December 21, you will be able to put your new facts into action. And
if you fall in the second category? Be thankful. It could be your
turn next time!

ARIES

In many ways, last week was the last week of your year. Of course,
there is still Christmas Day and New Year's Eve to look forward to,
but last week was all about that last sustained burst of energy which
should keep you cruising towards the end of 2004 finishing line. So
does that mean you can stop trying? Hardly. It does mean, though,
that you can afford to look on the lighter and brighter side. And in
fact, let's go one step further, that you really should be looking on
the lighter and brighter side now. It's also the perfect time to stop
long enough to look up and see the year in review. What steps can you
take to improve 2005?

TAURUS

Your ruler Venus is headed for a rendez vous with mysterious, elusive
and deceptive Neptune. If you think you're maybe being lulled into a
false sense of security, or that someone's trying to trick you, or as
though you're not really able to see that Very Important Matter
clearly, you could be right. On the other hand, if you feel like
you've meet The Right Person, if you feel inspired, poetic, romantic
or dreamy, that could also be Neptune at work. Remember that your
main goal right now is to destress and to plan for the future. Then
double check your facts and that everyone's being honest. And
finally, relax. This is a great week to allow yourself some relaxing
time off.

GEMINI

Mercury has now changed directions. For couples, this means you can
expect an end to some of the recent mix ups. If there's still one
matter you know you seriously need to renegotiate, it's not too late,
but get your skates on while the skies are supportive. Singles should
hopefully have reached some kind of closure on a past relationship.
For one, an old love affair has been rekindled. It's around about now
that you get to see if it has legs or not. Where work is concerned,
try to take it in your stride if you have to put in a few extra hours
during Christmas week. Important people are watching you and the
efforts you make will not go unnoticed.

CANCER

Christmas is always a time of heightened emotions for Cancerians,
what with all the family you're with, or wishing you were with, or
wishing you weren't with! Happily, this Christmas Full Moon in your
sign (which takes place on December 26) comes to you with a bonus
Mercury/Venus conjunction, so your conversations and thoughts in the
lead up to the big day and on Christmas Day itself should be sweet,
if a little over-excited. And if you don't get the presents you want
this year? Put it this way. You're not gonna take it lying down!
Lovewise, romances new and old are up for appraisal. It's time to
make sure you feel confident about love and if not, to take action.

LEO

Worries which beset you earlier this year are subsiding. However,
this doesn't mean they are going away altogether. What it does mean
is that you have a moment to breathe, a chance to take five, and the
opportunity to think about how you can truly sort your main dilemma
out once and for all without doing something too drastic. If your
major concerned is connected to either kids, creativity or sex, all
this goes double. The best way forward almost certainly includes you
acting and feeling like your most regal, confident self. Leave the
rest of us mere mortals to act like, well, ... mere mortals! This is
a week when you can afford to surprise others (and I don't just mean
with presents!)

VIRGO

Mercury starts to go forwards again which means you can, too. It's
obviously not really that simple. There are still loose ends to tie
up from his recent backwards cycle. Eg: what did you learn during the
past few weeks which you don't want to think about? What did you
learn that proved to be invaluable information? Are those two the
same things? And what did you learn which seems to suggest that you
need to change your way of thinking? It's important to keep updating
your ideas, especially where work is concerned. One career cycle is
ending, so draw a line under old projects this week and congratulate
yourself on the jobs you've completed. Then take some time out to
enjoy yourself.

LIBRA

Venus' meeting with Neptune could go either way, but it's certainly
promising. If, for example, you know you're with your soulmate, it
could be a very romantic week. If, on the other hand, you suspect
you're spending too much time with and emotional energy on a love
rat, you could find out you're right! It's also a good week for
Librans with arty or creative projects on the boil and even stressed
out Libran parents could find their kids remind them of why everyone
says there's nothing better than having children. It's a week to feel
inspired, to look for ways to fill your soul up with joy. One work
cycle is ending now. Close the chapter and allow yourself time to
breathe.

SCORPIO

Scorpios are renowned for the ability to destroy things. I know that
sounds heavy. But it's an important part of your make up and goes a
long way towards making you the sexy devil you are. There's so much
that's underground and taboo about Scorpios. Stuff the rest of us up
here on the Earth's surface can hardly handle! This week, it's time
to use that ability to take something and shove it where the sun
doesn't shine, so to speak. Take any dark thoughts you've been
having, especially if they're connected to your finances, or to
yourself, and bury them. Destroy them. You have a wonderful
opportunity to improve your self-esteem. Then make a list of what you
love about yourself.

SAGITTARIUS

Venus in Sagittarius is giving you extra appeal and you can tell it's
working. You can't? Then you're not paying attention. Before you next
go out on your daily trundle around the shops, make yourself a little
bit gorgeous. Now smile. And exit your home, into the world. See how
people respond to you? Venus in your sign makes the world love you.
What you need to do now is something which is actually not that
characteristic. Be a little bit cunning. Use this new power you have
to entice and attract You Know Who. And if You Know Who doesn't
respond to your charms, rest assured someone else will. Flirting
aside, this is an excellent time to act on a strong hunch.

CAPRICORN

The part of your chart being most activated right now is not the part
which you're most comfortable with. Most Capricorns like things they
can see and feel and touch. You're not usually too bothered about
airy fairy invisibles and intangibles. However, even you have a
mysterious and spooky side and this is the week to get in touch with
it. Try using your intuition a little. Think about what your dreams
could mean. Meditate. When you're working so hard or moving so fast,
it's easy to get disconnected from the Universal source which
delivers so much info to us in unusual ways. Even this forecast is a
message for you. It's time to step outside your 3D comfort zone and
explore yourself.

AQUARIUS

Your motivation and determination at work should be at a two year
high. Try to allow inspiration to spur you on as much as the need for
cold hard cash. On the subject of money, this probably is not the
best week to either lend or borrow from a friend. Try to keep
business as business and pleasure as pleasure. Meanwhile, the
Venus/Neptune link suggests a friend could be about to make your day.
Or even your week. If you want to turn this friend into something
more, it's a good week to go for it. And if you just want to enjoy
the company of people who you feel 'at one' with, then it's also a
great week for that, too.

PISCES

This has been a confusing time at work for many Pisceans, which was
probably the last thing you needed amid the Christmas mayhem.
However, Mercury is as Mercury does and he went backwards in your
work zone, making a challenging aspect to Pisceans. And the good
news? He's going forwards again now, so have a look at what you
learned in the past few weeks. Not so much about being organised and
so on, but more about your work, your colleagues and what you want
for yourself professionally next year. Meanwhile, as Venus approaches
a link with Neptune, this Christmas has a decidedly rosy tint to
it. ... as long as you're able to forget about work and to think
about turkeys and presents!

FENG SHUI FOR DECEMBER FROM http://www.centaineconsultants.com.au

December Flying Stars (7th December 2004 - 5th January 2005)

There are financial opportunities brewing for people sleeping or
working in a North sector bedroom or office this month. Keep your
eyes open for a helpful mentor or lucky career break, but also watch
for stress related headaches. The East sector is visited by the lucky
8 star this month, giving a welcome reprieve to the quarrelsome
annual 3 influence in this sector, although young children may also
be more prone to accidental injury of the limbs in the East and
Northeast sectors this month. Add the fire element with red colours
or a bright light to help balance the chi. Adults working or sleeping
in the Northeast sector may be able to tap into additional creativity
this month. This can bode well for the development of new ideas and
concepts in the workforce. The Southeast sector is positive for
scholarly luck and potential romance during December. Place a bright
display of flowers in fresh water here. People sleeping or working in
the Northwest sector may experience a higher probability of stress
related illness, mainly due to shouldering additional
responsibilities. More. http://www.centaineconsultants.com.au

YOUR STARS DECEMBER 27 2004

If it's your birthday this week

LOVE This year looks good for love, whichever way you slice it. What
you need to do over the next 12 months, though, is have a think about
communicating with your partner. Notice how when you talk things
through, life is a whole lot easier than when you bottle it up.

WORK If 2004 brought you some work battles you'd rather forget about,
you have every right to do that now. Leave the problems of this year
behind. Astrologically, they are definitely in the past. Do look at
what the trials at work this year taught you though. They're
important lessons.

CASH People celebrating their birthday this week are benefitting from
Venus/Jupiter in their birthday chart. Since Venus is about cash (as
well as love) and Jupiter is about 'lots of anything', you can see
how you could put this link together and come up with 'lotsa cash'!
Good luck!

ARIES

They say that what you're doing as the clock strikes midnight on New
Year's Eve is somehow indicative of the year ahead. Whether or not
that's true, here's an idea for you anyway. Just before New Year's
Eve, your ruler makes a tough angle to Uranus. This suggests you
could spend the last days of 2004 feeling like you have way too much
energy for your own good. Some of this is pent-up emotions at what
you went though in the past 12 months of course. The skies suggest
that giving a long, loud howl at midnight as we click into 2005 could
be just what the doctor ordered, to help you leave the 2004 angst
behind. It's worth a try!

TAURUS

The good news for you as we head out of 2004 is that there's a
luscious link between your ruler Venus and plentiful Jupiter just
before New Year's Eve. This could mean one of two things. On the not
so luscious side, it could mean that you're going to over-spend
terribly! Except of course, now that you've read this, you're not
quite as likely to, are you? Hopefully not. On the far preferable
side, since this link straddles your work and money zones, there's a
chance of a good Christmas bonus. If you feel like you missed your
chance to say the right thing in a recent conversation you had about
cash, this week gives you another opportunity to get it right.

GEMINI

Are you starting to feel like other people are very important while
you're supposed to acknowledge that and take a backseat while they
live their lives around you? If so, don't worry, it's just a passing
phase. Mercury, Venus and Mars are now all in your opposite sign.
When the planets line up like this for you, it means you can expect
to be dealing with Other People a lot of the time, making allowances
for them, wishing you could be with them, getting annoyed with them
and even having it out with them. On that last note, do tread with
care if you decide to try to settle one old argument before the year
is out. This week's energies are volatile!

If you've overdone it on the canapés, the skies are doing all they
can to make you feel good about trying to get back in shape. Of
course, it's not going to happen overnight, but the sooner you start,
the better you'll feel. Commit to running, jogging, walking, boxing,
training or whatever takes your fancy – make an appointment to start
in the first week of January and you truly won't regret it! Calorie
challenges aside, this is a potentially wonderful week for you, as
Venus does all she can to make you feel good. If the year has brought
love and pain, this is the week to heal the wounds and refind the

If you don't have someone to have and to hold and to kiss as the New
Year's Eve clock strikes midnight, well, put it this way, you
shouldn't find it too hard to find someone. Gorgeous strangers,
friends you've had your eye on for yonks, you ex or your boss.
Doesn't matter. Just remember that if you want romance this silly
season, you have the skies on your side. That applies if you're
already attached, too, of course. You just have to work a little less
hard at taking the potential and making it real. This is a

Your ruler Mercury meets luscious Venus this week, so if you're
hoping that Someone Special will say Something Nice to you this week,
you could be in luck. On the other hand, though, if you're reading
this and thinking "Ha! That's never gonna happen"', well, take care.
We create our life with our thoughts, and if you're convinced that
you Know Who is never going to tell you what you want to hear, then,
guess what? You might be right. Just as they say 'careful what you

Whatever else happens this week, just remember that you have the gift
of the gab and could probably talk your way out of any tricky
situation you find yourself in. Not only has Mercury started to go
forwards again, but this week he makes excellent links with Jupiter
in your sign, while Venus does the same thing. And it's all taking
place in your chat zone. If in doubt, talk about it. And now to your
New Year's resolution wish list. With Jupiter in your sign for

Are you one of those people who can't bear all the planning and
preparation that goes into New Year's Eve celebrations? Someone who'd
rather stay home on December 31, and not feel so pressured to go out
and have a good time? If that's the case, this is a good year to
think about doing new Year's Eve your way, and with minimal
expectations. If you go out, be ready for party plans which change
regularly. If you stay home, be ready for people you weren't
expecting to somehow get involved in your evening (be that by
dropping in or staying away or ...!) Most importantly, prepare to

SAGITTARIUS

This is an astro-action-packed week and some of the energies are
volatile. The good news for Sagittarians, though, is that Jupiter is
linking very nicely to Mercury and Venus amid the rest of the carry-
on. This means that even if the rest of the world starts getting
scowly and tense as the end of the year approaches, you have the
skies on your side. And if you don't mind me saying, this also seems
to give you a responsibility. When others start to lose their cool as
excitement mounts, would you consider thanking your lucky stars and
being the person to add a little humour to diffuse the situation? You

CAPRICORN

Of course, we all know that the end of the year is a man made
invention, a time marker that we use to bring order to our lives. But
one year to the next really does just flow. A far more useful marker
for you this December would be the recent Saturn/Chiron action which
has been going on in the skies. This has been about making the
transition from what you hoped for to what is, about learning to love
yourself with all your flaws, and realising that, as they say, we're
here for a good time, not a long time. Now that the Saturn/Chiron
link has had its day, you are cordially invited to open the champagne
and celebrate 2005.

AQUARIUS

If you try to do too much this week, the chances are you (a) won't
get it all done (b) what get a chance enjoy what you do get done and
(c) won't get a chance to relax. If you're the person who's driving
yourself mad with trying to over-achieve then, hey, you only have
yourself to blame. Slow it down, Aquarius. You can only do what you
can do. And if it's not you but someone else who's hassling you to
achieve, then do all you can to very calmly and gently let them know
that you are not a machine and you will do your best. Then, of
course, the onus is on your to honestly do your best.

PISCES

Part of your problem in 2004 has been that you're just too nice. Not
because that means that people take advantage of you. Sure, people do
that, but so what? You just slither away from them, never to be seen
again. End of story. No, the problem you've had has been more to do
with the fact that because you're likable, everyone wants a piece of
you, be it your attention, your presence or your opinion. This week,
your popularity looks set to soar even higher. Just remember, when
people ask you to do something you're not happy with, you are allowed
to say no. Otherwise, revel in the Piscean glory of being well-loved.
What good taste your friends must have!

ARIES

You probably take your innate fire power for granted. You can keep on
keeping on long after the rest of us have run out of energy. But for
many Aries, the high spirits around in the lead up to New Year's Eve
were just a bit too much. If you went too farm if you owe someone an
apology, or if you're filled with regrets about the way you handed a
delicate situation, this is the week to make amends. And if it's you
that's the injured party, see if there's a reconciliation forthcoming
and if not, do all you can to let it go. Lovewise, the Moon going
through your love zone means singles could find someone who takes
their fancy.

TAURUS

Chances are that love and cash are the major focus now. If one of
your New Year's resolutions is to handle your finances better, to
earn more, or to start a savings plan, do your research now about how
to put the required structures in place. The New Moon next will be an
excellent time to implement plans. On a wider scale, the other thing
the planets are asking you to do now is to make some minor
adjustments to an important part of your life. Where do you feel you
could have more confidence? What could you do to get it? What do you
need to do to impress You Know Who? This could be a week love really
sizzles for you.

GEMINI

This week, Venus and Pluto are meeting up in your love zone.
Meanwhile, the Moon and Jupiter rendez vous in your sex zone.
Clearly, it's not every week that this kind of cosmic 'coincidence'
happens. If there's someone you've got your eye on, you could turn it
all around this week, and get what you want. If you're attached and
happy, you and your partner could go a whole lot deeper. And if
you're attached but trying to get away, this could be the week you
make your bid for freedom. And if you're somewhere in the middle,
take it easy. Mars could help you sort things out but he could also
get you a little too excited for your own good!

CANCER

The Sun going through Capricorn is your annual chance to more closely
examine your most important one to one relationships, including
romantic ones (past, present and potential). This week, under the
Venus/Pluto love-in, you're being asked to look at how being more
confident could improve your love life. And/or to think about if
perhaps you are somehow letting your ego get into the way of your
romance? Meanwhile, your health (or someone else's) remains a
priority. Getting in shape is your best bet now. Helping someone else
to do the same will also be ace for your karma. If you're a Crab back
at work already, console yourself with the thought that you can
really make big strides this week.

LEO

So how's your love life? No, really. How is it? The planets certainly
are on your side romantically right now. (They're also pretty
supportive if you have an important creative project or children high
up your list of priorities). If your love life is what's got your
attention, though, and you're not sure you're making as much progress
with You Know Who as you'd like, try to think again about the way
you're expressing yourself. Your ruler the Sun and the Moon argue
this week and that could see you doing the same. It may not be your
fault. Someone else might have the wrong end of the stick.
Alternatively, could it be you're coming across more as arrogant than
confident? Maybe?

VIRGO

Have you made your New Year's resolutions yet? If so, take the list
out and read it again sometime this week. If not, don't delay in
writing it. Why? Your ruler Mercury meets Pluto this week and that
gives you a super-charged boost. It gives you a certain amount of
power, for one thing. And a lot of that power is mental. It also puts
you in the perfect position to start to get rid of any dross in your
life. What needs to go? Bad habits? Negative thought patterns?
Someone who's been bullying or trying to manipulate you? All these
can be given to the great insinkerator of the skies, Pluto himself.
Any kind of goal-setting is very well-starred.

LIBRA

This is potentially quite an intense, possibly quite wonderful week
for Librans. First of all, the Moon goes through your sign, and
therefore over your Sun, which tells us right off the bat that you
can expect at least one surge of emotions. Meanwhile your capricious
ruler Venus meets powerful Pluto. That tells us that this surge of
emotions is unlikely to be about something superficial. What's more,
there's a very good chance that the situation making your feelings
run hot is something you have some sort of control over. If you're
not too happy about this situation, adjust your attitude and you'll
see that you adjust your feelings. Also, count to ten, because angst
you're feeling is most likely quite temporary.

SCORPIO

Some of the people who win Lotto this week will no doubt be Scorpios.
Some of the people who get back to work post the parties and find
they're got a new year's raise will almost certainly be Scorpios. And
some of the people who get whopper bills ... will be Scorpios.
There's a lot of action going on in your money box right now. Be
cautious, while you wait to see how the energies play out. This part
of your chart is also about self-worth. If you need to value yourself
more, this is the week to look in the mirror and do one of those self-
help exercises where you remind yourself of how wonderful you are
(and mean it).

SAGITTARIUS

One of the best things about being Sagittarian is that you're
naturally filled with the knowledge that life will usually be
allright in the end. You also know that a little bit of confidence
and chutzpah can go a long, long way. Have you also learned, though,
that sometimes it's easy to go over the top (particularly when you're
dealing with someone who isn't a fellow Fire sign?) This is one of
those weeks when you might only mean to be enthusiastic but you
manage to annoy someone with your antics. Yes, it's probably their
problem, but for the sake of peace, back down if you know it'll help.
There are some excellent times in store, so don't worry about minor
glitches.

CAPRICORN

It's probably quite an intense experience being a Capricorn right
now. Yes it's the party season, there's at least one niggling worry
which needs your attention. Your secrets and dreams zone is being
activated by three planets which are not just crammed in this super-
sensitive part of your chart, but who are all pretty much on top of
each other. Luckily, you are one of the signs least afraid of facing
up to reality. If there's something you're scared of now, use that
mental fortitude of yours to look that fear in the eye. Think it
through. Ask yourself what love would do to this situation? Life
really is about to get a lot easier, once you get over current
hurdles.

AQUARIUS

If you're not actually reading this while on holidays somewhere, then
you very probably wish you were. Aquarians who've managed to juggle
their schedules and to get a break have excellent starts. Make the
most of your time off. And if you're stuck at work? The good news is
that your social zone's pretty intense right now, so even if you have
to put in a good eight hours work a day, chances are there's plenty
to entertain you in your time off. Where love is concerned, it must
be noted that now is the time to turn a lover into a friend. Or at
least to try, if that's what you have in mind. Secret romances may
not stay secret too much longer.

PISCES

There are a few ways to make life easy on yourself this week. One is
to avoid getting involved in any negotiations or transactions
connected to money and friends. If someone wants to borrow cash, tell
them you read in your stars it's not a good idea right now. (Ditto if
it's you that's thinking of asking someone for a loan!) Far better to
ask your boss for a raise, if you know the answer might well be yes.
There's a whole lot of action going on in your work zone and
financial transformation is possible now. Meanwhile, if there's a
project you're being asked to defend, and you really believe in it,
go for it. The rewards should appear by June/July.

SKY WATCH January 9 2005
from body+soul in the Sunday Telegraph

The planet of communications, Mercury, and the planet of love, Venus,
are still in the same part of the skies this week, in the sign of
Capricorn. They were together during their December journey through
Sagittarius, having met up most recently as a result Mercury's
retrograde cycle last month. As they dallied together, were also near
the planet Pluto at one point (though they've drawn away a little
now) so it's been quite an intense time of late. Ideas, conversations
and expressions of feeling over this year's Christmas/New Year period
have been more moving, profound and powerful than usual. If all you
wanted for Christmas was something to make you go "Oooo, that's
deep", and you were really prepared to go down the road where
profound feelings dwell, you were probably not disappointed.

The people suffering now, though, are most likely to be the ones
who've yet to express themselves or allowed those deep conversations
to develop. If that sounds like you, you get another chance to set
your feelings free this week as Mercury and Venus make a positive
aspect to the planet of the unexpected, Uranus. Because of the nature
of this planet, it's impossible to predict exactly how what you say
or hear will (a) come out or (b) lead to. However, it's definitely
going to be a case of 'better out than in' so prepare to give your
emotions expression.

Having said all that, of course, not everyone has unexpressed
feelings and sentiments to share. So if you've not been bottling up
something, it could be that someone you know has been doing it for
you. In other words, don't be surprised if someone surprises you now,
be it via a comment, a conversation, a thought, an email or a phone
call which makes you think twice. Try not to fall into the trap of
being judgmental, even if you can hardly believe what you are
reading/hearing. With luck, it will be music to your ears, in any
case.

Meanwhile, the New Moon takes place in Capricorn tomorrow at 10.02pm
AEDT. It's opposite Saturn, so, in a nutshell, the best way to handle
the energies over the next four weeks is to act like an adult and do
what you said you would.

********************************************************************

January 10th From Kelly Surtees

The movement of both Venus and Mercury into the industrious sign of
Capricorn precedes tonight's New Moon also in Capricorn. Venus is
much comfortable in this Earth sign, so expect relationships to
stabilise. Some of the fraught passions will settle and sensuality
takes on whole new meaning. Mercury is traditionally said to be weak
in Sagittarius so his movement into Capricorn this afternoon
certainly adds a more sedate quality to communications. The New Moon
falls tonight at 10pm at 20deg of Capricorn.

January Flying Stars (6th January - 3rd February)

The luckiest sectors of your home and office this month will be the
Southeast, South and Northwest. Try to spend more time in these
sectors of the home if possible.

Although the Southeast will attract abundance opportunities from the
lucky 8 monthly influence, the 4+8 combination in this sector is not
so favourable for young children. Add some red colours and/or a
bright light to this sector to enhance the lucky 8 and drain the 4,
and be mindful of potential accidents or mishaps occurring with
children playing in the Southeast sector of the home this month.

Students, artists, entertainers, writers and anyone wishing to tap
into their creativity will have a boost of creative chi residing in
the South sector this month. This influence is also favourable for
promotions and building a positive reputation.

The 6+1 combination in the Northwest sector indicates financial
acumen and authority luck. This is a positive sector for conducting
financial discussions and attracting opportunities for abundance.

YOUR STARS JANUARY 10 2005

If it's your birthday this week

LOVE The Venus/Uranus link in your birthday chart is terrible news
for people who want their love lives to be boring and samey. If,
however, you want romance and excitement, this is what Dr Love
ordered. Re love, just roll with any punches and go with the flow
this year.

WORK If you're a boss, learning how to handle your staff is the big
lesson in 2005. Treat them as you would like to be treated. And if
you're staff rather than a boss, try to suss your 'superiors' out a
bit. Working hard is still the fastest way to success.

CASH Venus/Uranus in your birthday chart is as much about money as it
is about love and means you can expect the unexpected where cash is
concerned this year. You might not make a fortune, but you have a
good chance of making more than you had budgeted for.

ARIES

The Moon this week ping pongs between a tough angle to the Sun and a
tough angle to Saturn, and guess where she is as she does this? In
Aries. This stirs up a lot of the most tricky issues facing you now.
Where you know you've been getting yourself into trouble because of
pride, for example. Where you know you've been pushing your luck by
not trying hard enough, for another. So is it doomed to be a dreadful
week? Not at all. It's one where you can expect to find renewed
confidence and inspiration to do what's got to be done. Where love
and work dilemmas are concerned, communication is key. Say it gently,
but say what needs to be said.

TAURUS

If someone offers to come and take you away from everyday routines,
grab the chance! The offer is probably genuine. This is a week to get
away from whatever's making you feel hemmed in. If you can physically
go somewhere, excellent. If you can't, then it's the perfect time to
think about where you would go if you could go. Surf the Net, read a
book, study, watch a film, chat to someone who's been there. Get some
ideas going. Even if the best you can manage is a bit of armchair
travelling, the mental break will benefit you. You're in the perfect
position to see how taking a wider view on life, rather than fussing
over details, is the best way forward

GEMINI

Money's in the air. If last week's Venus/Pluto link didn't swell your
wallet, but rather saw you spending more cash than you earned, this
is the week to start again. For one thing, the New Moon was in your
money zone, heralding the start of a new financial chapter for you.
Make a good start and you should find it's a good cycle. Meanwhile,
Saturn's brakes come off your other cash zone, at least a bit. As
long as you're being responsible about your incomings and outgoings
now, you have the chance to lay some firm foundations for the future.
Meanwhile a link from Venus to Uranus suggests that the luckiest
Geminis will get cash which seemingly appears out of the blue.

CANCER

The Sun, Mercury and Venus are now all in your opposite sign. Even if
you're single, this is the time to think about those Significant
Others in your life. It could be a past lover, or someone you'd like
to get to know better. The point is they're on your mind and you are
probably on theirs too. The Venus/Uranus link suggests you could be
in for one rather pleasant surprise where this person is concerned,
too. Maybe a late Christmas present? Whatever it turns out to be, it
does look as though Crabs will be smiling. The recent New Moon in
your love zone suggests you should make the changes you know you need
(and want) where love is concerned.

LEO

Mercury and Venus in your solar 6th house of health and well-being
suggest that (a) some Leos overdid it over Christmas with the canapés
while others (b) made getting fit their main New Year's Resolution.
If you fall into one of those camps, the good news is that the skies
support you in (c) shifting any excess post-Christmas weight and (d)
keeping those New year's Resolutions. The trick is to do if for
yourself and no one else. Even if there's someone in your life you
want to impress, think instead about how good you'll feel when you
take good care of yourself, body, mind and spirit, even if it's just
for the seven days of this week. Go for it.

VIRGO

It used to be much easier to be a Virgo, you know. Up until about six
months ago, you could expect to go through life pretty much at your
own pace. Sure there was the odd annoying person trying to tell you
what to do. But moreorless, you were left to your own devices. Now,
though, everything's changed. There's no denying it. It's no longer
possible to just cruise along. People are prodding you, poking you,
and making you fall in love with them. They're teasing and taunting
you and even tickling you. It might not be perfect, but it's a lot
more interesting. This week, you could hear something which turns
your ears pink with delight. Enjoy it all while it lasts!

LIBRA

If you've got problems connected to the home, be it your spouse, live-
in lover or flatmate, your mortgage adviser, broker or sales agent,
this is the week to talk about it. You could find that in having the
conversation, you come up with a totally unexpected and original
solution. Don't try to guess what that might be. Uranus is involved,
which means you're unlikely to be able to figure it out. Just open up
the discussion with whoever you need to, expect the best and see
where that takes you. Meanwhile, if it's a romantic matter on your
mind, a luscious link from Mars in your chat zone to Neptune suggests
you can find the right words to melt a heart.

SCORPIO

Mercury moves into your chat zone this week. In astrology, this is
known as a 'double whammy' since Mercury's about communications and
he's in the part of your chart which is also all about
communications. Suffice to say, it's time to drop that secretive
Scorpionic facade and let it all hang out. What's that? You're not
about to change the habits of a lifetime and open up? OK, fair
enough. Why should you change yourself overnight? But do be aware,
Scorp, that this week, you can open up and reach out, you can express
yourself and touch others with your words. It could be a pivotal week
for you. If it's love or money you need to discuss, your words could
inspire someone.

SAGITTARIUS

Have you been good or bad lately? If the Big Headmaster In The Sky
had to give you a report card this week, would you get an early mark
or a big spanking? In some ways, you reap what you sew now. If you've
eaten too much, someone will remind you to trim down. If you've been
lazy at work, it looks like your boss could be on your case. If
you've spent too much lately (and Sagittarians nearly always do over
Christmas, generous souls that you are) it's time to pay off the
credit cards and think about where you next cheque is coming from.
And if you've been good and nice? It's time to revel in the love
around you. .

CAPRICORN

Capricorns are said to be the hardest-working sign. They're also said
to be the best lovers. (The two are probably connected.) This week,
you have the chance to excel in both those parts of your life. On the
one hand, Venus in your sign (and making eyes at Uranus) means you
can expect at least one exciting love moment. On the other, you also
have the Sun in your sign opposite workhorse Saturn (who, just to
confuse matters, is in your love zone), so work is also a focus. The
trick to handling these combined love and work energies is to go with
the flow and be inventive, be responsible and lecture no one. If
anyone can manage all that, you can.

AQUARIUS

This is a good week to allow life to unfold. You have a sparkling
year ahead, but this first month of 2005 is possibly going to be a
little quieter than the rest. In fact, if you're one of the Aquarians
who's exhausted after all the festive cheer, and happy never to see
another party-popper, take heart. It's just that the faster-moving
planets are in your 12th house, meaning you're feeling less energised
than usual. This too shall pass. In the meantime, if you want the
world to go away and leave you to it, you have every astro right to
ask them to do just that. Daydreams and dreams in general could be
all the action you need now.

PISCES

Uranus has now started to go forwards in Pisces again, so if you can
feel a sense of excitement bubbling up from under the surface,
that'll be him. Uranus is the planet of chaos and the unexpected.
He's the planet who brings you amazingly good news, just when you
think all is lost. He's also the planet who sends you curve balls.
This week, he links to Mercury/Venus in your friends/wishes zone.
Make a wish and you could see it come true in the most unexpected
way. Where friends are concerned, one could be about to make your
day. If you would like one friend to be more than just a pal, this
could be the week it turns around.

YOUR STARS JANUARY 17 2005

If it's your birthday this week

LOVE A link between Venus and Jupiter in your birthday chart suggest
that some of you will be very lucky in love this year. And others?
Other will gorge themselves on love like a kid at a birthday party
who has too much cake and lemonade. For best results, go easy!

WORK Working abroad or with people you consider friends are two big
possibilities for you this year. Another is that you find a renewed
sense of determination where your career is concerned. You have loads
of professional energy now. Use it well and you could really prosper
these next 12 months.

CASH This could be a bumper year for you cashwise. However, it's just
as likely that you'll get the urge to splurge. Hey, go for it, if you
can afford it. But if you have to be careful, then put your credit
cards in a bowl of water in the freezer!

ARIES

This week, you can expect a little frisson of excitement. It's
possible that one important situation is going to start to flare up.
Not with big flames, just little licking spits and sparks, perhaps.
Your challenge, as a hot-blooded Aries, is going to be to deal with
it, to put out the spot fires, to allow the flames to just the right
height, to dance with the fire and stoke the embers, without allowing
yourself to be totally consumed by the passions. If you're trying to
deal with a current or ex lover, all this goes double. If you can
manage all this now, you will be in a better position a few weeks
hence. Think of challenges now as 'practise runs'.

TAURUS

If someone were to ask you how much you believe in what you're doing,
how do you think you would react? Would you have the courage of your
convictions? It's a strange and mysterious Universe we live in, and
over the next few weeks, you need to keep an eye open for people who
seem to be doing their best to slow you down, trip you up or make you
doubt yourself. They are your best allies because they're going to
get you on the back foot - and then they're going to help you realise
whether or not you feel it's worth rising to the challenges they're
presenting you with. Where you do rise to the occasion, success
follows by April.

GEMINI

Mid-week sees the Moon in your sign. For the rest of us, this is
great news. The Moon in Gemini is sociable and chatty, perfect for
parties and communication of all types. For you, though, it means the
Moon will go over your Sun and you could find yourself a little more
emotional than usual. Depending on what else is going on in your
personal chart, this could be a wonderful thing - or it could be a
time when the tears flow. Relationships with members of the opposite
sex are enhanced and anything you do in a group is well-starred. Just
make sure you don't go too far and you could end the week feeling
full of vitality.

CANCER

Part of being a Cancerian is, of course, having a strong sense of the
past. And in fact, one of the challenges of being a Crab is learning
to let go of the past when you have to. This week, it looks like even
if you don't exactly have to let go of something, you do need to take
care not to let your Cancerian-ness go OTT. So you sense you're
getting too worked up re your family, someone from the past,
something to do with the home front or just re your emotions in
general, stop and count to ten. This goes double re conversations to
do with love. Meanwhile Venus suggests single Cancerians accept all
party invitations.

LEO

The Sun now moves into Aquarius. This always happens around six
months after your birthday and signifies a time when you can expect
some of your most important projects to get wrapped up. Because the
Sun is about ego, though, the opposition which takes place over the
next few weeks for all Leos means that you can expect at least the
odd head-to-head battle. Quite often, the point of any such conflict
is to help you see where your ego is getting the better of you.
Arrogance is the last trait you should allow to seep in now. Rather,
look at how to be self-assured without being smug. Cool confidence is
what's required to bring success now.

VIRGO

Mercury and Venus are both on your side right now, so if you want to
seduce someone with tender words, have a go. You could find what you
need to say flows. Alternatively, some lucky Virgos won't have to say
a thing - rather, all they will need to do is listen and the sweet
nothings they've been wanting to hear will be whispered to them. Now,
of course, all that is very well. However, the skies suggest that
your working life is also trying to get your attention. The Moon at a
tricky angle to your from your work zone suggests you pick you
battles wisely and check to see if there are some deep disagreements
which need to be sorted out.

LIBRA

Jupiter in your sign means you have a greater sense of self than
ever. This is excellent news. Not that most Librans were ever shy,
retiring types, but there's nothing like confidence to make gorgeous
people seem even more adorable. This week, though, do take care as
Jupiter is triggered not once, but twice, with tough angles from
Mercury and Venus. There could be a tenancy to go too far, to say too
much, to smother someone with love or to over-spend. (And I mean
really over-spend!) Keep yourself in check this week in all that you
do, and you should end it on a high note. Let yourself go crazy,
though, and you'll really wish you'd had more self-restraint!

SCORPIO

This is a good time for all Scorpios to retreat a little. If you want
to spend more time alone, do so. Even if you have a partner or a
gaggle of friends keen to drag you around the party circuit, withdraw
as much as you need to. This year overall gives you a chance to think
more clearly about your life and your spiritual side. And let's face
it, such topics are best contemplated on your own, with tranquility
and silence to support you. This week, expect at least one person to
do their best to shatter your silence. Be nice, be gentle, but be
firm if you need some quiet time. Lovewise, what you say or write is
what counts now.

SAGITTARIUS

Watch your finances this week. Watch them how? Watch them expand in
some way. Obviously, ideally, they will be expanding as in swelling
your bank account. Take care, though, if you feel sure that they're
going to be expanding in terms of bills. Certainly it looks like
there is movement in your money box now. Take it easy 'til you see
how it's going to play out. But enough about cash, what you what you
value and what about what you value about yourself? This week, the
more you can show You Know Who that you know you're worth it, the
more You Know Who is likely to agree with you. Just don't overdo it.
Aim to be confident rather than cocky!

CAPRICORN

If you feel you're not being paid as much as you deserve, expect at
least one excellent opportunity to stand up for cash rights now. Ask
for what is fair (without getting hot under the collar). The astro-
spotlight is also asking you to look at how you feel about yourself
and how highly you rate yourself. If you feel you're being underpaid,
could it be because you're not letting others know how highly they
should value you? Make this the Week Of Improved Self-Esteem and you
can expect others to start seeing you in a new light. Jupiter
suggests that where you're not happy with your working conditions,
you have ample opportunities to improve matters. The rest is up to
you.

AQUARIUS

The Sun enters Aquarius this week which means it's almost your
birthday (many happy returns!) The Sun's move into your sign means
you can expect a burst of energy and a renewed spark of vitality.
However, not every Aquarian is going to want to charge back out into
the social whirl just yet. Mercury and Venus are still hovering in
your secrets zone. Either there's something big you're not telling
someone or you have some deep thoughts you need a little more time
out to consider. Fair enough. Just remember that what's secret now
may not stay that way for too much longer and proceed with care.
Lovewise, this is an excellent time to face up to what you find scary
about relationships.

PISCES

This is a week to be careful of what you wish for, and of what you
ask your friends for. The skies are in a giving mood and you could
find that your wishes and requests are all granted before you've even
had a chance to really decide what you want. People are still keen to
come to you, to speak to you, touch you, be near you, generally sub
themselves up against you. And if you think that all sounds a little
weird, well, it probably is. There's something about you lately which
has everyone else staring. Live it up. Pretty soon, they'll get used
to your new energies. But right now, you're a novelty. Single? Look
to your friends for introductions.

Skywatch ...

Happy new week, y'all ...

I think the best explanation I've heard for how astrology works is
that learning astrology is like learning to read a cosmic clock.
Watch the astrological alignments for long enough and you're going to
start to see patterns emerging.

This week, for example, there are a few tough angles. Mercury and
Venus are both in Capricorn – they were making positive links to
Jupiter when they were in Sag but now they're headed for difficult
ones. Venus is also about to argue with Saturn while Mars and Pluto
meet up for the first time in a long time. Venus/Saturn is not
exactly warm and fuzzy while Mars/Pluto is a bit like putting a lit
firework into a tinderbox. This could be an extreme week, that's for
sure.

So what to do? Take it easy. The Mercury/Venus links to Jupiter could
easily translate as going too far. Instead of loving someone, you
smother them. Instead of saying your piece, you say way too much.
Venus/Saturn is not a good time to ask someone if they love you -
unless you want to hear a mumbled reply. Mars/Pluto could get a lot
of people hot under the collar. It's a very good week to practise
just walking away from arguments. If you usually can't control your
temper, it's a week to do some vigourous exercise, for an energy
outlet.

And just to top it all off? There's a Full Moon in Leo on Tuesday.
Make `moderation' your keyword for the week, for best results.

YOUR STARS JANUARY 25 2005 - just scroll down ...

IF IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY THIS WEEK

LOVE True love will go from strength to strength this year. If you're
in a relationship which has passed its Use By date, though, chances
are that something will happen to make you face up to this fact.
Don't panic. It could be the kick you need to set things right.

MONEY As long as you remember that the world doesn't owe you a
living, and that in fact, you have to earn it, this could be a bumper
year for you for cash. The harder you work, the more likely you are
to create a nest egg for the future.

WORK Of course, we all like to get on with our workmates, bosses etc.
However, the aim of the work game isn't to make friends, it's to get
the job done. Pull your weight this year, and be responsible, and you
could open the way to renewed, sturdier career prospects.

ARIES

It can hardly be said that Aries have the worst tempers of the signs.
That would be a massive generalisation and even though Sun sign
astrology is often accused of being super-general, few astrologers
would assume that just because you're arguably the hottest-blooded of
the signs that you're the angriest. Having said all that (ie: made my
excuses) let me add that Aries are often the fastest to lose their
cool. You're wired for action, and learning how to control your
passions is a major life lesson. It's also one of this week's biggest
challenges. Go for it. If you feel your blood starting to boil, let
You Know Who you're fired up - then proceed to act in the calmest
manner possible.

TAURUS

Speaking seriously is one thing. Giving someone a lecture or just
freezing them out of your life because you're mad with them is
another. Gently letting someone know how you feel and being warm and
caring as you speak is yet another thing all together. This week, if
someone isn't being as warm and fuzzy towards you as you would like,
try taking the sweet and kind approach rather than coming over all
heavy and hard. You might be amazed at how much better the results
you get will be. Lovewise, someone from overseas or who seems very
learned could be about to get very serious about you (or vice versa!)
Cashwise, long-term investments look set to pay dividends at last.

GEMINI

There's something a bit like a mega-bag full of fireworks going off
in your love zone this week. If you're attached, tread carefully if
the relationships feeling shaky. You could blow the thing sky high if
you lose your temper. That doesn't mean you should avoid
confrontation to the point of being a doormat, of course. It does
mean, though, that if you can diffuse an argument, you'll probably
both be in a far better state later, to talk troubles through.
Singles could find that their love life finally takes off. At the
very least, you should get some kind of closure from the past. The
energies are high, so go lightly. Be especially careful with people
you consider more foe than friend.

CANCER

How this week pans out depends on how honest you've been with
yourself recently. If you've been in denial about the way things are
with a special someone, this could be the week you realise that it's
about time you faced up to reality. Knowledge is power, the truth
sets you free and so on. Think about those concepts if you have a
bitter pill to swallow now. And if you've worked very hard to get one
relationship right, if you've been patient and looked long term
rather than trying to just throw yourself into a romantic whirl which
feels good? Your love life could be about to get a whole lot more
sturdy and serious. Couples should make an extra effort now.

LEO

The Full Moon in Leo suggests there's one rather important situation
in your life which you need to either find out more about - or just
move on from altogether. Full Moons shed a lot of light,
metaphorically and otherwise. They often bring about a realisation.
Trust your hunches if you have a 'funny feeling' about someone or
something this week, and follow your intuition. You can also expect
to feel a little more emotional than usual and it's worth embracing
that mood. The week could even leave you feeling as though you've had
an exciting recharge, if you allow life to carry you away. Main
caution; careful at work if you're thinking about talking about cash
to your boss. Pick your moment.

VIRGO

If one creative project, romance or issue to do with children has
been going along quite nicely, thank you, but suddenly hits a pothole
this week, panic ye not. The pothole is not as big as you might fear
and it's going to be easier than you expect to get your precious
plans back on the road. If you feel stalled in getting to where you
want to be, do all you can to make like a smart Virgo and use the
time cleverly. Think about if there are other ways of doing the same
thing which wouldn't leave you twiddling your thumbs. Consider if you
have any talents, tricks or ideas about how to get to where you want
to go faster.

LIBRA

It looks like you're being dragged in various different directions
this week, both at home and at work, re friends and where either
kids, a partner or a cherished creative project are concerned. The
not so great news is that there really isn't too much you can do
about it all right now, apart from doing all you can to stay calm.
The better news is that the various options you have swirling around
and confusing you and enticing you this way and that really will
settle down soon enough. If you can use your Libran negotiating
skills this week, trying to keep most of the people happy most of the
time, you'll soon find that a new sense of direction and contentment.

SCORPIO

Money looks like a focus this week. If you've been trying to find a
short cut to wealth, going after get-rich-quick schemes, for example,
or trying to make cash without putting in the hard work, you expect a
curve ball of some kind from the Universe. Chances are you're about
to realise that the only way to guarantee boosting your bank account
is through sheer effort. Sure, you could be one of the lucky folk who
wins the lottery (fingers crossed!) However, most of us get the
finances we deserve, based on how hard we work to accrue them. Don't
get mad about money this week. Instead, look at how you can be more
determined to improve your cash flow.

SAGITTARIUS

Ooo la la. This week, the most potent planetary alignment is a
meeting between fiery Mars and incendiary Pluto. This really is the
astro equivalent of putting a light to a firework. Think of those
cartoons, where you have a little round explosive device with a wick.
This week's skies set the whole thing off. And guess where they're
exploding? In your sign. This Full Moon week could be a very hard one
for you, if you allow the energies to rile you up to the point where
you lose your cool. However, it could also be a wonderful, pivotal
week, where you finally find the wherewithal to get rid of one bit of
toxic waste from you life. Good luck! Dump it!

CAPRICORN

You're another of the signs for whom the cash bell's tolling. The
Full Moon this week takes place across your celestial money boxes,
meanwhile you have Venus in your sign, making a tough link to Saturn.
If ever there was a time to take it easy on the cash front, that time
is now. A new financial chapter is dawning for you. Start 2005 as you
mean to go on. If you know you need to save more, open an account now
and promise to put at least a teensy bit in each week. Go on.
Meanwhile, re love, don't panic if your partner doesn't seem to be
quite 'there' for you this week. It's quite likely to be but a
passing phase.

AQUARIUS

Have you ever considered that expression "all we have to fear is fear
itself"? Maybe the reason we're supposed to fear fear is because we
are actually living in some kind of strange hologram. (If you think
this sounds totally bizarre check out a book called The Holographic
Universe) According to the holographic theory, whatever we imagine
eventually happens. Which is why fearing is no good. We give too much
time and imagination to our fears and finally they can become real.
This is a good week for you to chase fear away. Instead of fearing
the worst, imagine the best possible scenario. Feel what it would
feel like. Touch and taste your sweetest dreams. It will be time far
better spent.

PISCES

There really is only so much you can do. With all the best intentions
and willpower in the world, for example, there is just no way you are
going to get 29 hours worth of work into 24. Days can't get longer.
You can't do without sleep. You can't live other peoples' lives for
them. You have to trust your own instincts. All these thoughts are
worth bearing in mind now. You're likely to feel you're being asked
to do more than you can cope with. You could drive yourself mad
trying to achieve it all. Or you could just surrender and remind
whoever needs to be told that there really are only 24 hours in a day
and you're doing your best.

Moon Meditation: It might be harsh, but is it fair?

The Moon in Leo has her pride. She doesn't like to be told that she's
not doing the right thing. As far as she's concerned, whatever she's
doing becomes the right thing simply because she's doing it.

Mercury opposite Saturn thrown into this mix means that, like it or
not, some of us are going to be told that we're just not expressing
ourselves as well as we could.

Others of us are going to find it way too hard to think positively,
even when we know we should.

Others still could find themselves on the boring end of a lecture,
while of course others will be the ones delivering those tedious
sermons.

This is a volatile week. The winners will be the ones who keep their
cool.

SKYWATCH January 30 2005
from the Sunday Telegraph's body+soul

This is a week when jealously - and problems resulting from it - look
likely come to the fore. The good news is that whatever does come up
for you now along these lines is probably going to do you more good
than harm. Here is one possible scenario: Imagine you're falling in
love with someone, and your guardian angel comes to you in your
sleep. Now imagine this angel shows you two possibilities. One is how
your love life would be, if you were able to love freely, without
trying to own your partner. The other shows you the knots you get
tied up in if you can't control insecurities and jealous feelings.

In one life, you could love to your heart's content. When you love
openly and without jealousy, of course, emotions flow more freely. In
the other scenario, it's like looking at a picture of a 'miser',
someone who only shares what they have begrudgingly, who holds on
tight to everything, simply because they fear there's no more good
coming their way. Loving openly is like sprinkling a flower with
crystal clear spring water. Loving jealousy is like pouring weed
killer on a rose. (OK, so that's all a bit poetic and dramatic but
you get the picture, I hope!)

These themes really are coming up for all of us this week now. Chiron
and Juno, two of the better-known bits of space debris, are super-
active. Chiron - about to move into Aquarius - is about transition
and transformation, owning up to what's yours and acknowledging where
you're hurting. Juno is about commitment and jealousy, and lots of
other stages in between.

Meanwhile, the Sun meets Neptune this week, which is where the
guardian angel comes in. When the Sun and Neptune are in contact,
it's much easier to access angelic intuition.

If you or someone close to you is struggling with jealousy, or wounds
resulting from someone else's lack of loyalty, this is a week when
healing is possible. What's important when working with these
energies is to deal openly and honestly. Don't be ashamed of
admitting where you're in pain and you really could find you deal
with it, and feel a whole lot better very soon.

YOUR STARS JANUARY 31 2005

IF IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY THIS WEEK

LOVE Singles who feel they've been single too long need to let go of
the past before they can move on. Couples who want to love forever
will benefit from talking honestly about problems from the past which
are still not quite resolved and forgetting those which need to be
forgotten about.

MONEY The cash roller coaster continues but what stands out in your
birthday chart is the need to be honest about your finances. Trying
to create a smokescreen so someone doesn't find out what you owe
won't help matters, so take an open approach this year, for best
results.

WORK Think how you can reconstruct the your daily working life where
it's not working for you. Can you implement new routines and
schedules? For those who want mega-promotions this year, first clear
away any fears you have about success. Reading 'Zen and the Art of
Making a Living' could help.

ARIES

Mars moves into Capricorn this week, which is somewhere he likes to
be. Even though he's at a tough angle to your sign, his move helps
you out. If you feel like someone close to you is throwing you curve
balls, testing your resolves and challenging your ability to keep up,
you're probably right. The good news is that for the next few weeks,
you have all you need to stand up for yourself, defend yourself and
show how motivated you are about doing what you want to do with your
life. Just bear in mind that if You Know Who is trying really hard to
persuade you of something, though, that You Know Who might have a
good point. At least, listen.

TAURUS

Life really is about to start to feel different. Is that music to
your ears or not? If not, could it be that you're refusing to deal
with one painful wound which has been bothering you for far too long?
You've had various chances recently to heal that old sore point, and
here comes another one now. The problem is that all the will in the
world won't help you heal unless you confront your pain. Perhaps you
need to talk to someone (again?) about how they hurt you. Or maybe
you need to do some kind of small ceremony (tearing up letters?
Cleansing your house with a smudge stick? Lighting a candle?) to help
your brain realise it's time to move on.

GEMINI

Can you detox this week? You can easily find a doctor-approved How To
on the Net (check with your GP) or call up a nutritionalist or
dietician for details. The most amazing thing about doing a detox
(ie: seriously cutting back on fats, sugars, alcohol, coffee, tea,
meat dishes etc) is that it doesn't just cleanse your body.
Sometimes, during a detox, people report having the most cleansing,
detoxifying dreams, for example. I know of one person who finally
forgave the woman her ex husband had left her for, in a dream, during
a detox. She said it was like "zapping poison out of her blood"! The
skies suggest this could be a great time for you to try a similar
cleansing.

CANCER

Mars enters your love zone this week, giving you the get up and go
you need to get your love life back on track. If the lines of
communication with your beloved have been full of static recently,
now is the time to refind some clarity. Mars in this part of the
skies can incline you to getting a little bit hotter under the collar
than you might like. But it doesn't have to be like that. You have
the chance now to clear the air. See conversations for what they are -
chances to sort things out - rather than tackling them like head-on
confrontations. You really could be delighted by the outcome, if you
keep your cool. Single? Love is looking for you.

LEO

Your love zone is packed with planets. There's the Sun, Mercury,
Venus, Neptune and asteroid Juno. They are shortly to be joined by
wounded healer Chiron. All this suggests many Leos have love on their
minds. Some, of course, are trying to salvage a relationship. If
that's the case, you really need to listen to what your intuition is
telling you. If you believe in angels, ask for guidance now. If
you're falling in love, you could have met a soulmate. If you're
still getting over the last affair, allow yourself time to heal. And
if you're in love but think your partner's acting a little oddly,
don't panic. As long as you know he/she's trustworthy, it's almost
certainly nothing to worry about.

VIRGO

For many Virgos, the Christmas/New Year period was a super intense
time, when a lot of clearing away of past junk (physical and
metaphorical) needed to be done. Happily, as a result of their
efforts, many Virgos now have a relatively clear path ahead of them
to tread. If this sounds like you, be glad, because now as the
planets march one by one into your daily routines sector, you're
ready to tackle your year ahead. Make a list of what you want and how
you plan to get it. Work out realistic budgets. Then list one thing
you're not going to allow to worry you any longer. You'll be amazed
at how easy it proves to ditch this old fear in 2005.

The part of your chart being activated by the planets in Aquarius now
relates to children, sex and creativity. Chances are you won't have
all three of those subjects bubbling up as major topics in your life
now, but at least one is very likely to be high on your agenda. So
what to do? Whatever your dilemma, and whichever topic it centres
around, promise yourself one thing; you will listen to your intuition
this week. You will look for signs about where you are meant to go.
You will not ignore your gut feelings, even if you don't especially
like what they're saying. (Don't worry, they aren't very likely to
say anything you don't want to hear but even so …)

Who you live with, your family, your actual home and your mortgage
are all points of special interest for you now. If you feel as though
someone's not being totally honest with you, you could be right. But
before you jump to conclusions, see if you can allow a little more
time to pass. It could be that there's confusion in the air, rather
than downright deception. Meanwhile, where cash is concerned
especially, try extra hard to stay calm. The Moon through your money
box means you could get het up where finances are concerned this week
… only to then wonder what all the fuss was about a few days later.

SAGITTARIUS

When you tell someone the truth, and they don't like it, they have at
least two choices in how they respond. Wise, evolved types will be
grateful to know the facts, rather than continue living under
illusions. Then, of course, there are those sorts who would rather be
in ignorant bliss and may even be inclined to shoot the messenger. As
a Sag, though, you don't really have many choices when it comes to
speaking the truth. You might be able to tell the odd white lie if
it's going to make life easier for everyone, but when it comes to the
big stuff you have this idea it's more noble to be honest. And you're
right. Speak your truth this week.

CAPRICORN

Mars enters your sign this week, for the first time since March 2003.
Can you remember back to that time? Generally you will look back on
that period as a stretch when you had a lot of chutzpah, get up and
go, and motivation. It could also have been a time when you found it
extra hard to control your temper. Also possibly a period when you
find it easier than ever to keep on keeping on when it came to
getting the job done. Life over the next few weeks won't be exactly
the same as it was in March 2003, but it will have the same feisty
flavour. Use your increased energy wisely and you'll make massive

AQUARIUS

This is going to be an excellent year for Aquarians who have learned
that there's more to life than meets the eye. So what if you're one
of those Aquarians who doesn't believe in what you can't see or
touch? What if you think listening to your dreams and hunches is a
load of old baloney? Are you going to have a bad year? Not
necessarily. However, it certainly won't be as easy for you as it
would be if you'd just drop your attempts to 'master the universe',
and instead go with the flow a little. Eg: right now, if you feel
like everyone's checking you out, you're right. Act on instinct and
keep your cool and you'll impress them wildly.

If the Prime Minister had an astrologer, he'd almost certainly be
advising Cabinet to give all Pisceans a few weeks off. Many of you
barely had a chance to relax over the New Year break. Others of you
had such monumental decisions to think about that you could barely
sleep, let alone relax. And now, as the planets going through the
part of your chart where all your deepest, darkest worries dwell, you
can be excused for wanting some time out. Since the PM has yet to
appoint as astrologer, please take it from me. If you're tired now,
get as much rest as you can after hours. You'll feel much stronger
soon, and your decisions will fall into place much more easily.

Against my better judgement, I did The Landmark Forum this weekend.

I signed a Confidentiality Agreement so I can't really say any more
than that - except to add that I was *very* resistant (the naughtiest
gal in the class, for sure!) but in the end found it amazing.

If you are in Sydney and would like to find out about the course,
please reply to this email - there is an Introductory night on
Tuesday which I can invite anyone to. Here is their site:

SKY WATCH February 6 2005

Recently I've had a lot of readers emailing to ask about why it
seems as though more couples than usual are breaking up. I've noticed
this too and had wondered about it. The idea I've come up with may not
be 100% right … but I suspect it has a lot to do with it … so
here goes.

Over the past few months, there's been a powerful link forming
and reforming between the planet of lessons, Saturn, and the
planetoid known as the `wounded healer', Chiron.

This is an indisputably tough link. Saturn's lessons are rarely
easy to get through, though they're always rewarding and worthwhile in
the end. Saturn usually brings `old news' to our attention. Eg:
you break up with someone because you know he/she's been unfaithful
to you. You suspected it, you felt it … and finally you had proof. It
still hurts, but it's not really any surprise.

Chiron is much harder to classify, as it's a much newer energy
that's worked with in astrology. It's about transition and
transformation, about where we hurt and why and what (if anything) we
can do to make the pain go away. It's also sometimes about shameful
experiences.

Who ever knows why two people come together? Sometimes they're
helping each other to heal emotional wounds. Once that healing has
taken place, the relationship has done its work, the healing has
taken place and it's time for both parties to move on. That
sounds like Saturn/Chiron to me.

Certainly the Sabian symbol for this week works with this theory.
I'll explain Sabian symbols another time (see
http://www.sabiansymbols.com for more info), but for now, suffice to
say that Sabian expert Linda Hill's keywords for the New Moon this
week include: "Breaking through illusions, battling through
relationship losses while maintaining a sense of self and purpose,
getting back on track."

The Aquarius New Moon is always a good time to start again. This
week's takes place on Wednesday around 9.30am in Sydney - that's
10.28pm Tuesday in the UK.

Detachment is now possible, if it's what you need.

SKY WATCH February 13 2005

Once you really get into astrology, it becomes tempting to cast
charts for a variety of events, weddings, birthdays etc. For one
thing, it's interesting to sneak a peak at what a day or night could
hold. For another, astrological software has made it so easy (we can
be proud that the Australian-made Solar Fire program is considered by
many as the best in the world).

So what about Valentines Night? Let's dissect it. The Moon is in
Taurus. This is excellent news for couples. The Moon loves Taurus the
way bees love honey. The earthy Taurus Moon suggests couples can
enjoy both a good dinner and some sensual pleasures afterwards
(though watch out for the bovine tendency to eat too much and roll
over into a contended sleep). The Taurus Moon is also steady and
reliable, soulful and secure. Fewer games than usual should be played
out.

Meanwhile, the chart set for Sydney around 8.15pm see the planet of
the unexpected Uranus energised, suggesting a few surprises ahead.
While not all surprises are wonderful, of course, some really are -
eg: quite a few lucky lovers could get that declaration of love or
proposal they've been waiting for.

Meanwhile, the planet of love, Venus, is headed for the planet of
soulmate unions, Neptune. This really could be one very mushy night
for couples who know they're already on the right track. Where
Neptune's concerned, though, it's never clear cut (Neptune's about
romance which melts your mind, as much as about the smokescreens that
lovers use). If you know you're kidding yourself about your partner,
this could be the time it becomes clear (in a confused kind of way)
that you're absolutely right.

Happily, the night's vibe suggests that even if you do discover that
your beloved is just never going to be The One you'd hoped for, you
should be able to take it in your stride. Singles? Well, it's a
romantic night, but unless you get out and about with friends,
celebrating the romance in the air, that Venus/Neptune could have you
feeling your singleness more than you'd like to! One thing's for
sure, on balance, it's all looking rather more romantic than last
year.

ARIES

Have you ever heard of a novel called The Dice Man by Luke Rhinehart?
It plays with the idea of making important decisions based on the
roll of a dice. If it's an even number, I will call him/her. If it's
an odd number, I will quit my job and go and live in Tahiti.
Personally I can't bear the idea of doing that, though it could be an
interesting experiement. This week, you have something far sturdier
than the roll of the dice to base your decisions on. You're getting a
message loud and clear from your instincts. Tune in and see what your
intuitive self thinks you should do about your most pressing dilemma.
Problem solved. A potentially wonderful week. For more info, UK
readers - call 0906 601 1010. Calls 60p cost a minute * Aussie
readers - call 190 222 4466. Calls cost $1.05 a minute

TAURUS

Your working life could be a bit confused now. There's no point in
trying to get it all straight and sorted out though. Well, not much
of a point. Far better to use the energies to see where you feel you
are being led by life. How could making a small sacrifice further
your amitions? Would can you do to feel more professionally inspired.
Work on these areas now and you could find that you emerge from the
fog with a whole new set of answers and ideas about the best way to
feel fulfilled by what you do 9 to 5. Lovewise, if you've ever wanted
to know how your partner really feels about you, this could be the
week to enquire. For more info, UK readers - call 0906 601 1010.

GEMINI

If you've had your fancy taken by someone from overseas, someone
who's very well-travelled and/or by someone who just strikes you as
plain exotic, that little romantic frisson could grow now. Couples
who want to make the most of the week's romantic vibes should do all
they can to either get away on a mini break, or at least start to
plan your next holiday escape together. The overall feel of this week
is quite gentle, but you are one of the signs most like to also
manage to do something wild now. If you're at all bored by life, this
is the time to do something outrageously different. If you're
wrestling with a longterm problem, try a solution you haven't tried
before. For more info, UK readers - call 0906 601 1010. Calls 60p
cost a minute * Aussie readers - call 190 222 4466. Calls cost $1.05
a minute

CANCER

The Moon in your sign on the weekend means you're likely to feel a
little more emotionally vulnerable than you might mean to. That's
fine. This week is rather cruisey and sweet and if you're lucky,
you're going to spend quite a lot of it with a gentle smile on your
face. If you're feeling agitated, despite the mellow skies, try to
take a moment to think about all that is good in your life and of how
much better one problem situation is now than it was before. One
drama has finally faded from your focus and that's freed you up to
appreciate all the good things. Hasn't it? If not, now's the time to
stop regretting and start counting your blessings. For more info, UK
readers - call 0906 601 1010. Calls 60p cost a minute * Aussie
readers - call 190 222 4466. Calls cost $1.05 a minute

LEO

Your ruler the Sun meets Mercury this week. This is actually a sign
from the heavens that before too long (in about a month's time) the
planet of comunications is going to start doing another backwards
cycle. It's also a sign to you, therefore, to start talking through
your most problematics issues, be they related to work, love, money
or family. The skies are offering us all a chance to bring what we
need to from out of the shadows and into the light for a closer look
now. If there's a big drama you need to resolve, especially if it's
related to a past, present or potential partner, this is the week to
take a deep breath and start the conversation. For more info, UK
readers - call 0906 601 1010. Calls 60p cost a minute * Aussie
readers - call 190 222 4466. Calls cost $1.05 a minute

VIRGO

It's wonderful to sail through life, making regular checks on The Big
Stuff. Like how's your family? Is your career on track? Etc. It's
also important, though, to face up to the Smaller Stuff, too. Like
how well are you eating? Does your place need a good clean? And have
you done all those boring things like paying that parking fine or
renewing your passport? The skies are definitely on your side at the
moment. Just remember, though, that no matter how smooth it all
seems, all those little things still need to be taken care of, with a
tweak here and there. In cash news, one bit of business you take care
of this week could lead to a financial bonus. For more info, UK
readers - call 0906 601 1010. Calls 60p cost a minute * Aussie
readers - call 190 222 4466. Calls cost $1.05 a minute

LIBRA

The question now is not so much about what you want but how much do
you truly believe you can have it? The planets this week are most
certaily on your side. Even if you feel as though you're being asked
to be endlessly patient where one dream is concerned, you should at
least be able to sense that you're headed in the right direction and
inching forward, be it only ever so slowly. The rest of 2005 will be
easier if you can just accept that there are certain tedious steps
you have to take as you go for your goal. Expect to meet some rather
wonderful new people who make the path from here to there a lot more
bearable. For more info, UK readers - call 0906 601 1010. Calls 60p
cost a minute * Aussie readers - call 190 222 4466. Calls cost $1.05

SCORPIO

Being a Scorpio, you're not likely to be a 'head in the clouds' type.
Scorpios are a water sign but they're also quite gritty and earthy
with it. This week, though, you have full astro permission to allow
your heart and head to take flight. Dream big dreams and bear in mind
that old adage about how you have to have a dream, in order to make
that dream come true. At home, life looks potentially sweeter than
it's been recently. Where there are still problems which need
solving, expect great results if you just show You Know Who that you
still have faith that you can sort them out. You have loads of energy
this week to do what you need to. For more info, UK readers - call
0906 601 1010. Calls 60p cost a minute * Aussie readers - call 190
222 4466. Calls cost $1.05 a minute

SAGITTARIUS

Venus tickels your ruler Jupiter this week so you're quite likely to
be tickled by someone too. And if you're thinking "If only!" then
perhaps you need to think about taking the initiative and rather than
waiting around for someone to come and tickle your fancy, perhaps you
could go out and tickle theirs! This is a potentailly great week for
Sagittarians who're in a couple. Show your partner how much you care
and you could find some real romance follows. Singles might have to
work a little harder to take advantage of the lovey dovey stars, but
it will be worth the effort. At the very least surround yourself with
friends you adore, ie: appreciate the love in the air through them.
For more info, UK readers - call 0906 601 1010. Calls 60p cost a
minute * Aussie readers - call 190 222 4466. Calls cost $1.05 a
minute

CAPRICORN

OK so not every Capricorn is going to strike it rich this weekm but a
link from Venus (money) to Jupiter (lots of it) from your cash zone
to your work sector suggests there really is a good chance you could
boost your finances now. In fact, although this extra cash looks
likely to be earned rather than won, it's still a fab week to take
out a little lottery ticket. You really could get lucky. Where love
is concerned, Capricorns romancing someone they've met through their
work could also get lucky. Just make sure no one's pulling the wool
over anyone else's eyes. Finally, Mars in Capricorn means it's still
extra important for you to keep a tight rein on your temper. For more
info, UK readers - call 0906 601 1010. Calls 60p cost a minute *
Aussie readers - call 190 222 4466. Calls cost $1.05 a minute

AQUARIUS

If you have faith now, anything is possible. Making up with someone
you've fallen out with. Standing up for yourself and being heard.
Having a dream come true. Altering the course of your destiny. US
motivational guru Anthony Robbins is reportedly fond of telling his
clients that "it's never too alte to start again" and you are
currently in a period where that's 100% true for you. And if life is
cruising along and you don't want to make changes, thank your lucky
stars! Ypu've already managed to get the good out of the treasures on
offer to you from the skies. If you're wondering how to make the leap
out of the rut you're in, just try, try again this week. For more
info, UK readers - call 0906 601 1010. Calls 60p cost a minute *
Aussie readers - call 190 222 4466. Calls cost $1.05 a minute

PISCES

Pisceans can expect to sleep a little bit easier this week. Yes, the
changes keep coming on in right at you, however, this week's stars
suggest you are in a position to relax a little, to unwind and rest
your mind. If someone somewhere seems to have other ideas, there
should even be a little song in your head which you can tune into,
once again, to chill out a little as you do whatever you have to do.
One caution - watch out if you're falling for someone you know you
shouldn't. it might be easily done but it's not advisable! On a
brighter note, if you need help this week, you could be delighted by
at least one friend's offer of assistance. For more info, UK readers -

SKY WATCH March 6 2005

As we build towards the New Moon this week, the temptation is going
to be to just let it all slide. The Moon is new is late degrees of
Pisces, which means the whole world is going to have a slightly
dreamy quality to it. Pisces is about romance and poetry, wine and
song. And yet, even as the Moon disappears just before becoming new
again, even as the atmosphere is ethereal and even if we feel like
taking to our beds with a box of chocolates, as we seek to immerse
ourselves in frivolous movies and soppy love songs … all the while,
we have a little voice in our heads telling us to "get back to work!"

This is going to be the challenging week which asks us to find a
balance between a need to escape versus an overwhelming realisation
that we can't hang around contemplating our navel or the stars for
too long.

Mars and Saturn make a powerful link this week as we build towards
the New Moon, and as they do, we're either going to realise that we
should get our act together and start to channel our energies more
wisely – or we're likely to get a rather abrupt wake up call from the
universe!

If you've been ambling through life (or lost in Loveland) lately,
it's time to pack your bags and prepare for a return trip to reality.
The wheels of the world are still spinning and this is a week to get
back on the treadmill.

Think about what you said you were going to do and haven't yet done.
Look at how you can use your time more cleverly. Look at where you
know you should be making an effort, instead of just thinking about
it. It's a week when they hard yakka you put in really could bring
some results. The New Moon takes place in Pisces at 8.10pm on
Thursday.

CONSPIRACY THEORY: As some of you already know, after 10 years of
thinking about it, I finally did the Landmark Forum - have now also
done the Advanced Course.

People warn you "The Forum's a cult!" - yet cults take you away from
your family. The Forum is all about working out any differences you
have with your family and/or friends and/or life.

The people from Landmark Education who run The Forum are now teaching
in at NASA and Microsoft - not so cultish, grasshopper. More like big
business wanting strategies for better workplace co-operation leading
to more $$$ success.

I think people diss The Landmark Forum for three main reasons.

1. they haven't done it

2. they are slightly shocked and suspicious at how enthusiastically
people (like me) rave about The Forum after they've done it.

3. because *some* people have a vested interest in keeping people
helpless victims

But if I told you I know of a course which could help you transform
your life for the better ... wouldn't you be curious?!?!

;-)

I am a drone ... Landmark is good ... I am a drone ... Landmark is

Landmark is good ... I am a drone ... Landmark is good ... I am a

Greetings Everybody!

This month's New Moon in the poetry-in-motion Sign of Pisces may have
us all feeling rather imaginative and lyrical about that elusive
Higher Love. Doesn't mean you won't experience any of the "baser"
sort, either - but check where your love/relationship ideals are
being triggered, highlighted and initiated at the moment. There's a
message in a bottle bobbing towards you on Neptune's waves and it may
not be to do with the Vodka it used to contain .... or it may in
the sense that if we can't get spiritual one way, then we might just
naturally try introducing it into the system in another way...

Feeling a little sensitive-the-world's-rather-mean-whose-feelings-are-
these-yours-or-mine-ish??? It's a chance to take a dip in the
mysterious lake of your emotional nature, but no need to drown if
necessary, don a spiritual prophylactic, re-inforce those personal
boundaries and take some time out from receiving the emotional and
psychic chit-chat in your atmosphere. However highly attuned to the
undercurrents of others that you may be right now, perhaps there's no
need to second-guess, sometimes it's quicker just to ask someone the
question!! Great for high-level meditation, receiving artistic
inspiration or having a D&M with the Piscean and Virgoan pals in
your world, just remember moderation. A dreamy cruise is nice but not
if you find you've accidentally just stepped aboard the Titanic.
Check your tickets and if necessary, change your seating!

Noticed an increase in your attraction to zany/out there/utopian ideas
relating to your pals, your clubs, your personal audience, notion of
the world lately? - but wondering how to do anything practical with
all these great, all-encompassing notions that bring together
everything you've ever thought of?? That's just our Wounded Healer
Chiron tasar-ing us from his new location in the Sign of Aquarius.
When Mars bumps into him on March 23rd they'll have a chat about how
to make all those ideas a more energetic reality. For now don't
censor them - if you think them, they will come... into being, that
is.

Maybe some electrical/plumbing issues interfering with the daily
routine - just go with the flow, folks, water always returns to
whence it came - as for the electrical stuff, remember to protect the
feet with some rubber soles (metaphor, metaphor, metaphor galore).

What is your Art? If you haven't taken a dive into your art of choice
lately, please consider..........or maybe you just need to re-design
the "set" you've been living in at home in some way....

And the really good part of all this - activate your dreams by
writing down your 10 wishes for this month at the New Moon time and
check out where these are at by the same time next month.... your
wishes can be connected with artistry (music, writing, painting,
poetry), inspiration, sleep (more? less?), personal happiness,
compassionate outcomes, surrendering and actually trusting that
process, saying "hi" to your spiritual nature or that of others,
feeling a sense of support from the unseen realms (which helps
you calmly come to terms with recent disappointments), getting clean
in every sense, and maybe just visiting the Podiatrist, OR receiving
a visit from the plumber - yes, that too could be a metaphor.

Late March-early April 2005 are busy and intriguing with a Mercury Rx
cycle and our first pair of eclipses for the year (not to mention the
controversial Charles/Camilla wedding) - you can read more about
these on the "astrowatch" page on my website -

Moon Meditation: Good reason to wait a little ...

We are in the middle of some tricky Stars right now. If you have an
important conversation which can wait a few days, it might be best to
let it lie a bit ...

In most cases it will be best to get the conversation out of the way
before Mercury starts to go backwards on March 20 but if you can wait
until Friday to have 'that' chat, so much the better ...

Having said this, conversations concerning projects which started
when Mercury was retrograde* in the past could now go well ... Last
year's retrograde cycles were in April, August and December - but it
could be from the year before, too ... It really does pay to keep an
eye on the stars ... !

* If you were born when Mercury was retrograde, you are likely to
come across as a little more thoughtful and slow to speak than others
but you should sail through the Mercury retograde much easier than
the rest of us! Find out here: http://www.astro.com . A little red R
or Rx after your Mercury means you were born during a Mercury
retrograde period. Two of the best writers I know have this in their
charts.
