Saddam Hussein’s Greatest Legacy: December 2003 to December 2006
Part Three

Malcom Lagauche

December 25, 2009

Part One

Part Two

As we approach the third anniversary of the assassination of Saddam Hussein at the hands of agents from the U.S. and Iran, we must remember the legacy Saddam left after he was kidnapped. His steadfastness and integrity equaled these same traits he possessed while he was the president of the country. This is part three of a three-part series. It is an excerpt from my book The Mother of All Battles: The Endless U.S.-Iraq War.

After Saddam’s execution, the press had a field day in analyzing and editorializing the incident as well as Saddam himself. Most were writing well out of their league and their ignorance of history showed. Because most U.S. readers do not know the history of Iraq, the scribes’ words were taken as true.

The theme of many articles was that justice was not achieved because Saddam was hanged for a lesser crime than the major ones assessed against him. The "progressive" writers wanted to see him tried for gassing incidents so they could tie together U.S. involvement with the "misdeeds" of Saddam Hussein. Article-after-article mentioned Rumsfeld’s visit to Iraq in the 1980s and said the U.S. gave Iraq the technology for Iraq’s WMD programs during the Iran-Iraq War, however, not one questioned the reason for the war. They all blamed it on Saddam and wrote as if Iran was a benign and aggrieved country. Also, not one writer mentioned that Saddam was quickly hanged before the gassing incidents could come to court. Many people accuse Iran, not Iraq of gassing the Kurds at Halabjah. If Saddam was dead, these items could not be addressed, so the truth behind the myth of "gassing his own people" went to the grave with Saddam. Further, not one mentioned that Saddam’s Iraqi attorney, Khalil al-Dulaimi, the only defense lawyer able to speak in the courtroom, had been approached twice in the previous year by Iranian agents who tried to persuade him not to mention Halabjah at the trial. On his first encounter, in Jordan, he was offered $10 million to keep the subject off the agenda. Later, in Paris, the Iranians upped the ante by offering him $100 million. The only way to keep the subject away from public scrutiny was to kill Saddam on bogus charges. Shortly after he died, the court dropped the genocide charges against Saddam Hussein.

But, in most of the reporting, a visible part of history was missing. At the same time Saddam Hussein and Rumsfeld met, Iran was killing Iraqi soldiers and civilians with missiles supplied by the U.S. The U.S. had already made the deal with Iran to sell them missiles and other military material, with Israel getting the obligatory 10% for being the middleman. Iraq and Iran were both supplied by the U.S.

After Saddam’s execution, some writers mocked him and again, re-wrote history. In "So Long to 'Our Tyrant,’" Andrew Cockburn stated in Common Dreams on December 30, 2006:

Though he was expelled from Kuwait and his economy wrecked by sanctions, Hussein was allowed to survive because Washington for a time continued to believe that he was useful as a bulwark against Iran abroad and militant Shiism at home in Iraq. When that policy was discarded by the neoconservatives after the 9/11 attacks, the dictator’s days were numbered.

Cockburn, of all people, should know that after Desert Storm, many plots to get rid of Saddam emerged.. For instance, even Scott Ritter, once head of the U.N. inspection team, stated that the goal of the U.S. personnel on the inspection contingent was to overthrow Saddam. He admits that he was part of the scheme.

John Simpson of the Sunday Times relayed more historical revision in his piece "Tyrant Met His End with Fortitude:"

Every important step he took was a disaster, from the attack on Iran in 1980 which started a hugely debilitating war that lasted for eight years, to the foolish invasion of Kuwait, which brought him into open conflict with his former friends, the Americans. Yet he knew how to appeal to ordinary people across the world. He was hated by most of his own people, but loved by the poor and disinherited of the rest of the Arab world.

He ruled Iraq by relying on the Sunni minority. His ministers were mostly Sunnis and so were most senior officers in his army and police force. Tens of thousands of Sunnis died as a result of his repression and the wars, but since his overthrow by the British and Americans in 2003, Sunnis have tended to identify more closely with him.

The glaring mis-representation in this piece is the depiction that his ministers, the officers in his army and police force consisted mostly of Sunnis. In fact, 60% of the Republican Guard officers were Shi’ite. As were two-thirds of the Iraqi ambassadors assigned to the U.N. during Saddam’s tenure. Iraq’s mouthpiece to the world in March and April 2003, Mohamed Sahaff (the Iraq Information Minister) was Shi’ite. In the infamous deck of 55 playing cards created by the U.S., 35 individuals were Shi’ite. Plus, Tariq Aziz, the Iraqi foreign minister, was a Christian. Justice could have been better portrayed if Simpson took a few minutes to research facts before he made such erroneous allegations.

In the article, "Rule of Noose," in The Nation of December 31, 2006, Bruce Shapiro wrote:

If Iraqi executioners have a particular expertise with the gallows, it is because Saddam gave his country so much practice. Hanging, shooting, gassing, beating, Saddam and his agents were masters of them all. Saddam, depraved and sadistic, was the polar opposite of the banal bureaucrat evil Hannah Arendt famously saw in Adolph Eichmann.

Shapiro packed much rancor into such a short span of words. "Depraved and sadistic" stick out. I doubt that Shapiro has an education and background in psychology, but he tries to dissect Saddam Hussein’s brain. On December 30, 2006, the only "depraved and sadistic" Iraqis we saw were the ones who taunted Saddam and those who pulled the lever for his hanging.

On the other hand, some articles contained realistic information. According to Robert Dreyfuss, in his article, "The Consequences of Killing Saddam," in The Nation, December 31, 2006:

An overwhelming majority of the Sunni Arab population of Iraq now supports the resistance, and its intensity is likely to grow significantly in the wake of Saddam’s death. Earlier this year, 300 Sunni tribal leaders met in Anbar to issue a demand that Saddam Hussein be released from prison, just one indication that support for the former president of Iraq was widespread. "The execution of Saddam means that the flame of vengeance will be ignited and it will hurt the body of Iraq with unrecoverable wounds," a Sunni tribal leader told the New York Times.

Michael Boldin spoke of the lies and deceit of the U.S. administration in his piece "Saddam Was Right and Bush Was Wrong," published online by www.populistamerica.com on December 30, 2006:

The non-existent weapons of mass destruction weren’t the only falsehood. There were the phony uranium purchases, lies about al-Qaeda training camps in Iraq, mobile weapons labs, and drones that were going to attack the East Coast of the U.S.

Remember the lies about babies being thrown out of incubators? The propaganda started years ago. Even the claims of Saddam’s brutality are suspect. Why? Because most of these claims come from the same people that have already discredited themselves.

Boldin is one of the few writers who went right to the core of the problem of the demonizing of Saddam Hussein. If those who accused Saddam of myriad atrocities had been exposed as liars about virtually every aspect on Iraq, how could they transform themselves into purveyors of truth in describing Saddam Hussein and his regime?

Al-Quds of al-Arabi assessed the situation in a logical manner. Its editor, Abdel Bari Atwan, told Aljazeera News:

Arab public opinion wonders who deserves to be tried and executed: Saddam Hussein, who preserved the unity of Iraq, its Arab and Islamic entity and the coexistence of its different communities such as Shi’ites and Sunnis … or those who engulfed the country in this bloody civil war?

The pundits had a great time writing about Saddam Hussein’s execution. Many work for huge publications with limitless resources for research, yet they chose to re-hash old discredited information and add a few new untruths as well.

These represent only a few statements made in the Western press. But, in newspapers from Brazil to Russia, from India to Indonesia, from Pakistan to Venezuela, and many other nations, the media were much kinder to Saddam Hussein and the barbaric end he experienced.

Many Western observers are not aware that Saddam Hussein was well-regarded in much of the world. Brazilians remembered that thousands of their countrymen were recruited by Saddam to build the advanced highway and bridge systems that once crisscrossed Iraq. Egyptians did not forget that more than two million of their countrymen owned and worked land in Iraq prior to January 1991. Indians did not forget the reciprocal dealings with Iraq and how the Ba’athists gave support to Indian causes. The Lebanese remembered the dozens of Iraqi trucks that showed up daily at the Lebanese border during that country’s civil war. They were laden with food and clothing for any Lebanese person in need. The convoys’ recipients included all Lebanese, not a certain faction of those battling in the civil war. Most Palestinians display a picture of Saddam Hussein on their walls. Over the years, many nations have temporarily supported the Palestinian cause, only to withdraw aid once threatened by the U.S. Saddam Hussein, even during the embargo years, supported the Palestinians with no exception, while other Arab regimes did not want to get involved because they did not want to upset their puppeteers in Washington and Tel Aviv.

It didn’t take long for the world to see how quickly the bogus court that tried Saddam became unraveled. On March 9, 2007, the headlines for Al-Jazeera News read, "Saddam Judge Flees Iraq." Raouf Abdel-Rahman was the judge who sentenced Saddam Hussein, Barzan al-Tikriti (Iraq’s former intelligence minister) and Awad Hamed (former head of Iraq’s Revolutionary Court) to death. All were hanged.

Abdel-Rahman was the second judge on the trial in which the defendants were accused of crimes against humanity for the execution of 148 people from the city of Dujail in 1985. The first judge, Rizgar Amin, resigned. He accused the U.S.-allied Iraqi officials of scripting the trial for him. When Abdel-Rahman came on board, the so-called trial turned into a fiasco. He constantly kicked the defendants and their lawyers out of the court room. He made public statements before the end of the trial in which he stated that Saddam was guilty. When a defense witness came forth with a video tape showing how the head prosecutor, Jaafar al-Musawi and a prosecution witness, Ali al-Haidari had lied, Abdel-Rahman confiscated the video tape and had the witness, along with three other defense witnesses, arrested and tortured.

When the appeals court turned down the request of Saddam’s defense team about the death verdict, Abdel-Rahman had to set an execution date within 30 days of the appeal verdict. Saddam was hanged within four days, on the date of the beginning of a Moslem holiday.

For a few months, Abdel-Rahman relished in his image as a no-nonsense, tough judge. The truth differs. He stood against everything a judge is supposed to represent: to find the truth. He lied and he was a fraud. He was brave while he was protected by the U.S. Army in the Green Zone, but once the hangings were conducted, it appears that Abdel-Rahman must have lost some of his protection. He fled to Great Britain.

There is one aspect of this mockery that is confusing. Abdel-Rahman asked for "political asylum" in Great Britain. Political asylum is usually requested by citizens of countries in which they are not allowed political, social or religious rights that other citizens enjoy. Abdel-Rahman was a product of the quisling Iraqi government. He was right in the middle of all the shenanigans and violence the pretenders thrust on Iraq. Why did he ask for "political asylum" when he was a mainstream player in the sordid politics of Iraq?

It is probable that there were many Iraqis who were offended by Saddam Hussein’s show trial and hanging and some were probably picking up the stench of Abdel-Rahman’s scent. Even the U.S. and the Iraqi stooges would have been unable to give him enough security to ensure that he would be alive at retirement age.

Abdel-Rahman may have been the temporary victor because of his actions in an unfair Iraqi courthouse that led to the hanging of Saddam Hussein. But, in death, Saddam Hussein won the battle against him as Abdel-Rahman made a secret and cowardly exit from Iraq.

At the time of the writing of this book, a very ill Tariq Aziz is being tried on false charges. Out of nowhere, Abdel-Rahman reappeared in Baghdad. It appears that no one wanted to be the judge who orders the hanging of Aziz, so the quisling Iraqi government made a deal with the person who handed down Saddam Hussein’s death sentence. It will be interesting to see Abdel-Rahman’s actions after the trial. He may well return to England for his extended vacation.

Saddam Hussein knew how his life would end, but he was well aware that his legacy would be part of the equation that will resurrect Iraq. He never sold out, not even at the end when he was offered chances to be freed from prison. He knew that if he sold out, he would have sold out Iraq.

Long after his execution, Saddam Hussein still gained ludicrous press coverage. On the first anniversary of the hanging, two British newspapers ran stories about the one-year anniversary.

On December 31, 2007, the British daily newspaper, The Telegraph, ran an article called "Few Gather to Remember at Saddam’s Tomb." It was written by Akeel Hussein and Colin Freeman. Here are a few statements:

On the first anniversary of his death, however, the final resting place of the man whose last words were "Iraq is nothing without me" shows little sign of becoming the shrine many feared it would …

… Yet the supporters who gathered to commemorate by laying flowers and reading the Koran numbered only in the dozens, not the hundreds of thousands that Saddam’s deluded ego might have expected …

This pieces is a horrible example of journalism, especially coming from such an established newspaper as The Telegraph. The tone of mockery is normally never seen in a feature article. Plus, the inaccuracies are glaring. Even from Saddam’s naysayers I have never seen the last words attributed to him that this stooge tag-team wrote. However, the facts are true: only a few dozen people showed up at Saddam’s grave.

Now, let’s go a few miles across London and see how The Times handled the same story. Deborah Haynes and Ali Hamdani collaborated on the article "Thousands Prevented from Visiting Saddam Tomb on Anniversary of Execution" that was published on December 30, 2006.

Let’s take a look at a sampling of this article:

A handful of Saddam Hussein supporters wept at his graveside in a village north of Baghdad today on the first anniversary of the toppled dictator’s execution, while thousands more were prevented from visiting the tomb because of heightened security …

… "The anniversary of the execution of the martyred President Saddam Hussein is a sad one and hurts all honorable Iraqis," said Um Marwan, age 40, who was leading a delegation of women to the burial site.

"You cannot compare Saddam to Maliki or Talabani who are hiding in the Green Zone," she said.

In the nearby village of al-Dawr thousands of people had planned a demonstration to condemn the execution followed by a march to Saddam’s graveside, but their movement was restricted by an indefinite curfew imposed from Saturday, said Selam al-Abid, a former guard to Saddam.

Two stories used basic facts (and some fiction on the part of The Telegraph) in depicting the first anniversary of Saddam Hussein’s murder. However, only one stated why there were so few people at Saddam’s grave.

If Saddam Hussein is a spent force in Iraq, why does the U.S. and its quisling allies keep people from visiting his grave? They are cowards with absolutely no integrity and can only function surrounded by tanks and enough military hardware to incinerate the entire country of Iraq. So much for "bringing democracy to Iraq."

Since the publishing of my book, the Iraqi quislings have gone even further in keeping people away from Saddam’s grave. According to an article in Al-Jazeera News of July 6, 2009, titled "Iraq Bans Visits to Saddam’s Grave:"

The Iraqi government has banned all organised visits to the grave of Saddam Hussein, the country's former leader who was executed in 2006.

The government issued the order on Monday after some schools began arranging trips for their pupils to visit the site in Saddam's native village of Al-Awja, outside the northern town of Tikrit, a government statement said.

… Thousands of Saddam's Sunni Arab supporters regularly visit the site to commemorate the former leader with poems and songs of praise.

Many also visit to mark the anniversaries of his birth and death.

Buried alongside him are his two sons Uday and Qusay, who were killed in a US attack in the northern city of Mosul in July 2003.

While in the U.S.A, an Arab or a Muslim may hear many an American protest: “… but the Christians have the Vatican, and the Muslims have Mecca.  So why can’t the Jews have Jerusalem?!”.   The implied condemnation in that rhetorical question naturally turns Palestinians, Arabs, Muslims, and supporters of the Palestinian cause everywhere into contemptible fanatic poachers, “anti-semitic” to be sure, who are conspiring with the rest of the world to deny Judaism a holy center of faith of its own!

By extension, the following question is also frequently posed: “why are Arabs and Muslims so incensed that the Jews are digging for the Temple of Solomon beneath Al Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock?!”.  Read: what do you have to hide?  Are you afraid that the Temple of Solomon would be found, practically proving that those Arab Islamic and Christian holy places were built on stolen Jewish property by “an Arab occupation”?  Let them dig for their long-lost temple for goodness sake, and if they find nothing, what do you have to lose?!

Mind you, the excavation has delved so deeply and extensively underneath Al Aqsa Mosque, reaching the pre-Hebrew Canaanite Epoch, dating back several millennia, still without hitting any Temple of Solomon or even a shred of Jewishness!

More importantly, the earth beneath the structure of Al Aqsa Mosque has been so disemboweled, which made the grounds beneath it so shaky, a somewhat powerful underground explosion or an earthquake would probably bring the Holy Muslim edifice down altogether like a crumbling house of cards.

Thus, there is no longer any doubt in the minds of concerned people everywhere what the real purpose of the digging is.  The massive underground network of tunnels, inroads, and state-sponsored synagogues is simply meant to physically undermine Al Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock; that is, it is meant to usurp the Arab identity of Jerusalem, and to make Jewish history out of nothing at all!

Consequently, contrary to what may seem at the surface, those issues are not purely about religion as much as they are about the identity of the land and whether it’s Arab or not.  For archaeological and religious issues here are nothing but thin veneer for a vexing contemporary and worldly question: is Jerusalem, and by extension Palestine, Arab or Jewish?  Whose birthright is it?  And, hence, who gets to keep it and rule over it?  THAT is the crux of the matter that secularly-minded individuals in the West and the East gloss over when they gloat or grumble about ‘fanatics on both sides’ killing each other over slabs of earth and stone.

For example, in the movie The Kingdom of Heaven (2005) by Ridley Scott, that many mistook for an atypically pro-Arab picture, the hero Balian of Ibelin (Actor Orlando Bloom) wonders before the invader community of Crusaders in Jerusalem as it braces for the impending Arab attack: “What is Jerusalem? Your holy places lie over the Jewish temple that the Romans pulled down. The Muslim places of worship lie over yours. Which is more holy?... The wall? The Mosque? The Sepulchre? Who has claim? No one has claim… All have claim!”.

So, if no one has claim, certainly the Arabs don’t!  And if all have claim, certainly the Arabs can’t claim that Jerusalem is Arab, can they?  In the end, we’re talking about the question of who wields political power here, and about the need to justify the presence of invaders in Palestine, as rulers, not as pilgrims passing through for example.  Certainly we are not talking about freedom of worship here (which was guaranteed under Muslim rule in the life of Jerusalem more than any other).  We are talking about falsifying history to rationalize foreign occupations.  If Arabs are an occupation, then they shouldn’t complain about another which replaced them, especially if it allegedly predated them.

But after more than six decades of Zionist occupation, no Jewish Temple was ever  found, and if there ever was one in Palestine, who is to say it used to lie exactly where Al Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock are today?!  Never mind that alleged Jewish archaeological remnants in the land have been extremely scarce and suspect.  Never mind that even according to the Torah the Canaanites existed in Palestine long before, during, and after the Hebrews allegedly came through.  Never mind the fact that the Canaanites descended upon the land from the Arabian Peninsula and that their tongue is an ancient Arabic one.  After all, this is not some abstruse academic debate on history.

Yet when some claim that Palestine belongs to no one, we have to insist that it has been Arab since time immemorial, in the face of all transient foreign occupations, and that we have the historical and cultural ties to prove it, including Al Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock.

Palestine is not a land without an identity any more than it is a land without a people.   Jerusalem belongs to the Palestinians and Palestine belongs to the Arabs just like Le Seine belongs to the French and Shanghai to the Chinese.  Furthermore, when those who tell us that Jerusalem belongs to no one and to all declare their own countries as belonging to no one and to all, we promise to solemnly consider their propositions for Jerusalem seriously.

Setting questions of history and identity aside, the point remains that Jerusalem in modern times has become the locus of festering political contradictions at many levels.  For the Arabs, Jerusalem stands as a symbol of Arab defeat before Western colonialism.  For Palestinians under occupation and in the diaspora, Jerusalem represents the essence of the conflict with the Zionist movement over the right of ownership to the land here and now.  For the Islamic World, Jerusalem signifies another crusader incursion at the cultural and religious levels.  Finally, for anti-imperialists worldwide, Jerusalem pertains to the liberation struggle against Zionism and imperialism on the very front where that two-headed monster has thrown all of its colossal might.  Although Jerusalem might mean more of this and less of that to different people, there is no question whatsoever that the demise of “Israel” and the liberation of Palestine will mark a watershed in human history, as it will help spell the end of the imperialist order everywhere.

Surely, Jerusalem is not a substitute for Palestine.  It’s just the mascot of the cause of Palestinian liberation.   Neither are Al Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock  a substitute for Jerusalem.  They are but its crowing jewels along with all the other Arab Muslim and Christian Holy places in the city.   The southwestern wall of Al Aqsa Mosque, the alleged “wailing wall”, what we call in Arabic the wall of the ‘buraq”, is definitely not a substitute for Al Aqsa Mosque either.   Therefore, it’s no wonder on the eve of the 1967 occupation of the eastern sector of the city, where Al Aqsa Mosque is located, that Moshe Dayan, an overtly a-religious former “Israeli” Minister of Defense, led a bunch of Rabbis to pray at the Wall of the Buraq.  He understood the significance of that wall to be more than religious, for it condenses the fragments of the Arab-Zionist struggle into one bloc, literally.

To highlight the connection delineated above, it should be pointed out that the whole of Jerusalem and vicinity today, not only Al Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock, is being subjected to a process of forced Judaization.   The infamous “Wall of Separation” meandering through the West Bank has actually separated Jerusalem from the West Bank and subdivided Arabs within the city into three semi-isolated cantons.  The Wall has severed the city from Arab villages in its vicinity, and has cut off Arab neighborhoods in East Jerusalem from the Old Town where Al Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock lie.   In the meantime, hundreds of Jerusalemites get their identity cards withdrawn by Zionist occupation authorities every year.  Dozens of Arab houses are either confiscated or demolished, while locations are given Hebrew names instead of Arab ones, for example “Har Homa” for Mount Abu Ghnaim.

In the meantime, Zionist settlement and construction in the city continues to expand and grow at the expense of the Arabs, as it has since the first half of the Twentieth Century.    As a result, Arab Christians have effectively been evacuated from Jerusalem, with only a few thousand left.  Now the Zionists are working on thinning out Arab Muslims.   This is why preserving the Arab identity of the city requires all concerned to support Jerusalemites remain steadfast in their city, at least until liberation comes.

In memory of the Ideological founder of the Baath Party: Our Leader Comrade Michel Aflaq

"A day will come when the nationalists will find themselves the only defenders of Islam. They will have to give a special meaning to it if they want the Arab nation to have a good reason for survival. The connection of Islam to Arabism is not, therefore, similar to that of any religion to any nationalism. The Arab Christians, when their nationalism is fully awakened and when they restore their genuine character, will recognize that Islam for them is nationalist education in which they have to be absorbed in order to understand and love it to the extent that they become concerned about Islam as about the most precious thing in their Arabism. If the actual reality is still far from this wish, the new generation of Arab Christians has a task which it should perform with daring and detachment, sacrificing for it their pride and benefits, for there is nothing that equals Arabism and the honor of belonging to it." (In memory of the Arab Prophet -April, 1943) -Comrade Michel Aflaq

This is a part of his speech at Damascus University in April 1943. The speech is quite long...10 pages. I will try my best to translate it without loosing the essence of it's meaning. It is also important to mention that Michel Aflaq was a Christian Orthodox who converted to Islam. Western media denies Aflaq's conversion and says that President Saddam Hussein fabricated his conversion so that not to remind the Iraqi people of the Christian roots of Baathism. This is not true. Aflaq converted to Islam, I am responsible for my words and many high ranking Baathi Comrades testify that he did, we just did not want it to be interpreted politically; therefore Aflaq and party leaders decided to keep the matter confidential.

President Saddam Hussein was not Anti-Christian, he was not Anti-any religion or sect. If he was Anti-Christian he wouldn't of been a member of the Baath Party. And it is no secret that the founder of the Baath Party (Comrade Michel Aflaq) was a Christian.

I am aware that converts to Islam especially ones that are public figures; disappoints the west in general. The fabrication of Aflaq's conversion by President Saddam Hussein is another lie made by the western media...another successful attempt I may add to ruin this great man's reputation.

Chelsea is already Jewish because her mother Hilary is jewish by way of her zionazi parents.  It is not a new or surprising development.  It is only natural that Chelsea marry one of her own zionazi kind so that the Clintons can make the full transition from anglo-zionist to official membership in the "tribe" of 'pigsrael'.

12/3/2009 -- In June CNN wrote a hit piece against Ghost Troop, the All-American cyber militia, because we don't observe the official line about Jewish influence. Accordingly, I'm using an article from Ha'aretz to establish that Chelsea Clinton is going to marry a Jew:

It's official -- Chelsea Clinton to wed Jewish boyfriend
Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of America's most powerful political couple will soon wed a "member of the tribe," according to various media reports.

I include an article by Samuel P. Jacobs to ask a critical question:

Will Chelsea Convert?
"The great thing about America is everyone wants to marry a Jewish boy."

I'm shocked that the Israeli daily (along with the US mainstream media) failed to address this all-important item. Given that Chelsea's mom is Secretary of State, and half of "America's most powerful political couple," surely the American people deserve to know whether she will adopt religion of her soon-to-be husband. We stand on the edge of my expanded regional war -- perhaps a world war -- in which religious and political loyalties are critical. Can anyone doubt that the Middle East (Israel especially) will take the Clintons' daughter into account?

The failure of Western media to investigate and report on this item argues that it is either incompetent (if it didn't think to ask the couple) or insubordinate (if it didn't bother to tell the people). When public servants, from the Secretary of State to the mainstream media play "don't ask/don't tell" games with the public, we have gone fare from our revolutionary roots. It would seem that Chelsea is indeed an American princess, with royal parents and a monarchial privilege of privacy. Further, it would seem that the Jews are a tribe indeed, who employ their media to support their machinations.

This notion certainly would have have been decried as anti-Semitic had it come from Ghost Troop, is one that LA Times Jewish writer Joel Stein made crystal clear in his candid column a year ago:
How Jewish is Hollywood?
"I don't care Americans think were running the news media, Hollywood, Wall Street or the government. I just care that they get to keep running them."

VIVA HUGO CHAVEZ !!

Chavez: Israel aims to exterminate Palestinians

Acting Palestinian Authority Chief Mahmoud Abbas (L) and Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez says that Israel is aiming to 'exterminate the Palestinian nation' and that he backs the establishment of East Jerusalem Al-Quds as capital of an independent Palestinian state.

"We are on the side of the Palestinian people's memorable struggle against the genocidal state of Israel that knocks down, kills and aims to terminate the Palestinian people," Chavez told acting Palestinian Authority Chief Mahmoud Abbas in Caracas on Friday night.

"We reiterate our greatest commitment and our greatest solidarity for the creation of an independent Palestinian state with the holy city of Jerusalem Al-Quds as its capital," he added.

During the meeting Mahmoud Abbas dismissed an Israeli plan to temporarily halt construction of new West Bank settlements as insufficient, saying Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu chose occupation rather than peace.

"Wednesday's announcement by Netanyahu of a 10-month halt to new construction in the West Bank Jewish settlements didn't bring anything new because the occupation is going to continue in the West Bank and in Jerusalem Al-Quds," Abbas said.

The acting Palestinian Authority Chief added, "We don't have any condition to restarting negotiations except the commitment of the two sides to the foundations of the peace operation according to the road map, and especially stopping the expansionist activities of the Israelis."

Abbas earlier visited Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Paraguay to build support for efforts toward a Palestinian state.

Latin American leaders backed his calls for Israel to halt settlement construction and also to guarantee that future borders are based on 1967 lines.

Under the 2002 Roadmap for Peace plan brokered by the United States, the European Union, the United Nations, and Russia, Israel has to 'dismantle settlement outposts erected since 2001 and also freeze all settlement activities'.

There are currently 121 Israeli settlements and approximately 102 Israeli outposts built illegally on Palestinian land occupied by Israel in 1967. All of these settlements and outposts are illegal under international law and have been condemned by numerous United Nations Security Council resolutions.

These settlements and outposts are inhabited by a population of some 462,000 Israeli settlers. Some 191,000 Israelis are living in settlements around Jerusalem Al-Quds and a further 271,400 are further spread throughout the West Bank.

Deception Has Always Been The Name Of Zionism’s Game

By Alan Hart

November 27, 2009 "
Information Clearing House" -- Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu described his offer to temporarily restrict construction of all-new Jewish settlements on the West Bank excluding Arab East Jerusalem as a “far-reaching and painful step", which was part of a policy he hoped would give a new impetus to peace talks.

Netanyahu is not stupid. He knows that some of us know he is not remotely interested in peace on terms the Palestinians could accept. So what then is his real game plan of the moment? Simple. He is seeking to make peace with the Obama administration. And its response suggests that with the help of the Zionist lobby and its stooges in Congress he’s got that matter firmly under control.

On 18 November President Obama himself expressed his dismay at Israel’s decision to approve 900 more housing units in East Jerusalem. He said it could lead to a “dangerous situation” because it made it harder for Israel to make peace in the region and “embitters the Palestinians.”

Eight days later the Obama administration says Netanyahu’s new offer, which stresses that there will be no restrictions, not even temporary ones, on new settlement development in East Jerusalem, will help "move forward" peace efforts.

What nonsense. It seems to me that the Obama administration doesn’t know whether it’s coming or going on the matter of how to deal with Netanyahu.

The response of senior Palestinian legislator Mustafa Barghouti was much more in tune with reality. “What Netanyahu announced today is one of his biggest attempts at deception in his history.”

It is, of course, a deception but nobody should be surprised. Not only has deception always been the name of Zionism’s game, it knows no other.

Its very first mission statement way back in 1897 was a deception. The previous year Zionism’s founding father, Theodore Herzl, had written and published Der Judenstaat, The Jewish State. It opened with these words: “The Jews who will it shall have a state of their own.” But as all of Zionism’s founding fathers gathered for their first Congress at Basel in Switzerland, Herzl was among the first to appreciate the need to drop the word state from all public policy pronouncements.

Thus it was that the first Congress of the World Zionist Organisation ended with a public statement that declared Zionism’s mission to be the striving “to create for the Jewish people a home in Palestine secured by public law.”

The difference between “home” and “state” was great.

State would have signalled that what Zionism wanted (and was ruthlessly determined to get) was a sovereign entity, by definition one with full state powers backed by its own military. In other words, a sovereign, fully independent Jewish state would be one that could pose a threat to the rights and possibly even the existence of the Arabs of Palestine. At the time Zionism didn’t want the world, including most Jews of the world, to know that.

Home was a much softer, less disturbing term. It implied, and for propaganda purposes could be asserted to mean, that Zionism would be prepared to settle for an entity without sovereign powers and which therefore would not and could pose any kind of threat to the Arabs.

The proof that Zionism’s founding father knew the substitution of “home” for “state” in the first mission statement was a deception is in his diary, which was not published (was kept secret) for 63 years. Herzl’s entry for 3 September 1897, as published in 1960, included this:

Were I to sum up the Basel Congress in a word - which I shall guard against pronouncing publicly - it would be this: At Basel I founded the Jewish state... Perhaps in five years, and certainly 50, everyone will know it... At Basel then, I created this abstraction which, as such, is invisible to the vast majority of people.

It wasn’t only the Arabs and the major powers Zionism didn’t want to scare by using the term state. All of its founding fathers were fully aware that most informed and thoughtful Jews everywhere were opposed to the idea of creating a sovereign Jewish state in the Arab heartland. They believed it to be morally wrong. They feared it would lead to unending conflict. And most of all they feared that if Zionism was allowed by the major powers to have its way, it would one day provoke anti-Semitism.

As it happened, that Jewish concern and those Jewish fears were washed away by the obscenity of the Nazi holocaust, without which Zionism almost certainly would not have triumphed.

After its unilateral declaration of independence, the Zionist (not Jewish) state’s policy was to advance by creating facts on the ground. In effect its message to the world was, as it still is: “We know we should not have done this, but we’ve done it. And there’s nothing you can do about it.”

ALLAHU AKBAR !

A KISS OF GREAT RESPECT GOES OUT TO THE NOBLE RESISTANCE IN IRAQ FOR EXCELLENT WORK IN THE LINE OF SACRED DUTY
VICTORY IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER IN'SHALLAH.

A Short Note on the Iraqi Resistance.

Layla Anwar, An Arab Woman Blues

November 17, 2009

I have much to write about, it may come across as spamming the reader with too many posts...but I have a new policy for this blog, like the one I had for the other Uncensored blog -- I shall write only for myself.

I want all of these posts as witnesses...I write for History.
I am no longer writing to inform...I am writing for the record...

Yesterday a spokesman for the Iraqi Resistance was shortly interviewed on Al-Jazeera.

He said in very simple terms :

We don't believe in the political and election process under Occupation. For us this is like Kiosk politics alluding to a vendor's mentality.
Now, there are some who are marketing themselves as the Resistance and have joined the political process time and time again (referring to Muqtada Al Sadr and the Sadrists.) They are no Resistance.
The truth is that we are all alone, all by ourselves, with no outside support, no external funding, nor external arming, and there is a huge blackout on us.
Many attempts and ploys have been made to discredit us. The Sahwa, the Al-Qaeda and others...but we resisted those as well...
In the very complex context we find ourselves in, we are doing what we can, the best we can...we have not stopped and we will not stop until Iraq is Free.

And he repeated:
We are ALL alone, with NO outside support from anyone.

So true. The Iraqi resistance has been all alone from the very beginning, with absolutely no support from anyone.

For seven years, it turned the Occupier's "cakewalk" into a quagmire and a graveyard...all alone...

It got no support from anyone. There is no funding and arming it like with Hamas and Hezbollah. So in that light, the Iraqi Resistance is way more resilient and way more brave and valiant than the other resistance movements...

It does not receive moral support and political acclaims like the other resistance movements do. It gets no coverage and no extensive interviews. No delegations flock to it and hardly anyone wants to engage it in a serious political dialogue like with the other resistance movements.

On the Arab level, it does not titillate as much as a Hezbollah who is supported and armed to its teeth by a regional superpower(Iran) nor does it evoke romantic visions of victory like Hamas did, who also has the full backing of Iran.

Yet the Iraqi Resistance relentlessly fought alone, totally alone...it fought not only the greatest superpower on earth, the US, not only GB, not only Iran and its sectarian militias who wiped out most of its members, not only the Kurdish Peshmergas trained by Israel, not only the mercenaries, snipers and contractors from the whole bloody globe, not only the Al-Qaeda, not only....

Yet not one word about this persevering, enduring, self sacrificing, unyielding pure, giving, resilient, brave, courageous, and noble Resistance.

Do you understand now why I only want to write to myself from now on ?

Huge rise in birth defects in IRAQ

Husayn Farajullah Zaki Al-Kurdi

Astronomical rises in birth defects among Iraqi babies have been noted since 1991 and the introduction of depleted uranium by US and allied forces in their assaults on Iraq dating from that year. Since then, specific areas such as Falluja have been intensively "treated" to bombardment by shells containing DU and have suffered the effects thereof, including birth defects, stillborn children, a proliferation of cancers and other well-known and extensively documented symptoms of genocide connected to DU. However, a large volume of it was unleashed on Iraq in 1991, as well as in numerous instances thereafter. This substance apparently has an extremely long life-span once it is released, perpetuating its damage for many generations.

The only decent book in English on the USA-led invasion of Iraq, including coverage of the use of depleted uranium,  is the redoubtable Jeff Archer's "The Mother of all Battles", published in 2008 by Alternative Publishing,8130 La Mesa Boulevard PMB 436, La Mesa CA 91941 USA. It has been used with excellent results by the valiant Professor June C. Terpstra in her college classrooms, but has been largely ignored by most Western "media" and academic circles. I urge any person concerned with the fate of Iraq to acquire a copy, study it carefully and keep it handy for reference purposes. It would also make a perfect gift for the "holiday" season and other gift-giving occasions.

Things are Not Okay in the USA

Ziad Shaker elJishi

11/6/2009

 http://www.al-moharer.net/mohhtm/ziad_eljishi285.htm

I had just finished watching Michael Moore's documentary "Capitalism A Love Story" when two major news items emerged in the USA explaining that a man in Florida had opened fire on his old company colleagues and that an Army psychiatrist by the name of Nidal Malik Hassan opened fire and killed 13 US soldiers and injured 30 at the Fort Hood army base in Texas.

These two men will be painted as crazies in the media. To understand that they are not crazy I advise the reader to see Michael Moore's movie to understand why the man in Florida acted as he did and then I would like to invite the reader to read this article to understand why Nidal Malik Hasan did what he did.

Nidal Malik Hasan was not crazy.

He held high credentials and was a well respected, esteemed and well-educated man. The number one culprit and villain of what happened in Fort Hood is not Nidal but the foreign policy of the USA and its direct action and daily practice in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Nidal was just pushed too far, first by the atrocities he bore witness to in Iraq and Afghanistan in his daily work as a psychiatrist counseling returning soldiers and second by the moment of awakening he had about what he was doing as he worked in an army that practiced such anti-human practices as the US Army has carried out in Iraq and Afghanistan.

When I say Nidal was pushed too far and consequently decided to retaliate, I mean that in two senses.

One is that Nidal was the victim of  the too common practice of being harassed as a Muslim and also possibly because of his Palestinian identity. This took place regularly.

Second, Nidal wanted out of the army. He disapproved of the war and was vocal about it. He spoke publicly about the wrong he saw being done in Iraq and Afghanistan in the name of so-called freedom and fallacious claims to the defense of human rights.

What was the Army's response? It first moved him from a nice facility he was in to Fort Hood, a sub-standard facility. Then it informed him of its decision to deploy him to Iraq to share in the crime that was being perpetrated there by the US Army against the Iraqi people.

Nidal decided not to take it and instead rebelled and the result was 13 US soldiers killed and 30 injured and he now sits in a coma between life and death.

Could it be that this was an act of cleansing by Nidal for the years he spent serving in the US Army?

Could it be that in this final act of martyrdom he wanted to say "enough is enough" and that he wasn't going to take it anymore? Did he have a moment of awakening? Did his conscience come alive?

The US media will quickly denounce Nidal as 'crazy', just as it will denounce the man in Florida as crazy. But how many crazies do we have? And how many more must die before this public and its government wake up and examine why normal, credible, well-educated people act the way they do against the public and the government and unleash such unabated violence against them?

The American media has already deployed the services of dozens of psychiatrists and army spokesmen and clergy in order to mind-numb American public opinion in a crazed campaign of brain-numbing diversion and hysterical fear-mongering directed against Arabs and Muslims. The goal is to drug the public mind and to prevent it from thinking or seeking answers to the question of why such events happen.

It was quick to offer clergy and in particular American Muslim clergy to denounce Nidal.

Even British coverage through the BBC alluded to the foreign policies of the US in Iraq as a possible reason for Nidal's action. But there will be none of that in the US media.

Instead the focus will be on backlashing Muslims in typical knee-jerk reactionary fashion. Calls for revenge resonate on the air and the so-called Muslim clergy go on the defensive as always.

No one in American official circles will step back to examine analytically, objectively and in a dispassionate manner that the US must change its foreign policy practices that are imperialist abroad and capitalist at home.

Instead Nidal will be relegated to being a crazy, and the man in Florida being crazy, and the reactionary forces in the US from the right-wing fanatics in America to the reactionary Americanized Muslim clergy will work hard to stop a blood-bath from happening in the two communities.

So it will go until another Nidal act comes around and then the cycle will start all over again. But perhaps the next time around, no one will be able to control the spiral of public violence, and maybe we will witness a public LA riot type reaction engulfing us all!

I for one will not denounce what Nidal did. I understand what he did and why he did it all too well.

THIS TRAGEDY HAS ALL THE MARKINGS OF A MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE PSY-OP DESIGNED TO SHRED THE SECOND AMENDMENT AND BAN GUNS NATIONWIDE IN ADDITION TO DEMONIZING THE MUSLIMS AND ISLAM. THE CANDIDATE IS ALWAYS BRAIN WASHED AND MANIPULATED WITH TORTURE AND PSYCHOTROPIC DRUGS AND HE/SHE ALWAYS CARRIES OUT A HEINOUS ACT WHICH IS DESIGNED TO SERVE THE AGENDA OF HIS/HER MASTERS AGAINST WE THE PEOPLE.

I HAVE A SUGGESTION THAT MIGHT HELP IN THE FUTURE. HOW ABOUT THE UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES RELEASING ALL OF THE MUSLIMS, BLACKS AND PUERTO RICANS FROM SERVICE AND MAKING THE UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES EXCLUSIVELY AN ANGLO-AMERICAN CLUB?

AS FAR AS ISLAM GOES THERE CANNOT BE MUSLIMS SERVING IN NON-MUSLIM ARMIES SO MY SOLUTION WORKS FOR BOTH SIDES AND DEPRIVES THE ZIONIST NAZIS RUNNING THE USA FROM USING THE MUSLIMS TO FURTHER THE SATANIC ILLUMINATI AGENDA OF ENSLAVING THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WITH FEAR OF MUSLIMS AND ISLAM.

Ok, let's get this out of the way.

Fort Hood - tragic.

Now let's look at some reality.

ONE guy shooting a hand gun killed
HOW many people - and on a military
base? Ae you serious?

And the one shooter is now in a coma?

And, as of now at least, there's no
surveillance camera footage?

And he's a Muslim who also happens
to be a serviceman with a mental
disorder involving gunplay who did
it with privately owned weapons?

This thing could not have been scripted or
casted better if Hollywood had produced it.

Let's see:

1. Private gun ownership demonized - check

2. Muslims demonized - check

3. Military personnel demonized - check

4. Base dwelling troops at home terrorized
by a fellow American - check

5. Yet another chance to distract the public - check

If this really happened the way it's been spun,
there have to be a lot of social engineers
high fiving each other at their good luck.

And what about the logic of the gunman?

He was afraid of being deployed to a combat
zone...so he created one at home so he
could be killed sooner? I realize the man
was "crazy" but come on.

(I wonder what prescribed medically-endorsed
pharmaceutical substance(s) he was one. We'll
never know because it would violate his privacy.
Score another one for Big Pharma.)

13 killed and 30 wounded by one man with
two pistols.

Nearly a 50% kill rate.

Ever fired a handgun? Ever tried aiming
and firing two at a time? Under pressure?
Ever reload a handgun under pressure?
There were people shooting at him. That's
a little pressure.

We're talking about yet *another* superhuman
performance by a "lone gunman" who is
conveniently not conscious to tell the tale.

Caliber doesn't matter and the bogus
non-fact that these were "automatic"
pistols is bull**** as well.

Meanwhile, we're being drowned in
flags, memorials and interviews with
the victims' families - and a total
absence of any information that makes
sense.

"But the government would never
do such a thing to its own troops!"

Uh, excuse me. It's putting thousands
of them through a meat grinder in
a pointless, unwinnable charade of
a war as we speak - in two countries,
while gearing up for two more (Iran
and Pakistan.)

Do you think the dead and wounded
from overseas are any less dead and
wounded victims from Fort Hood?

Assume the gunman was crazy. What
does that make the Bush-Bama regime?

Here's a news report about *another*
mass shooting by a lone gunman with two
pistols that sneaked its way onto the air
before it was pulled off and never replayed.

Reality please, just a little reality.

ALLAH AKBAR !

Maliki and his traitors came to Iraq on the backs of American tanks but it is the Baath who will unseat them from power and liberate Iraq from the hands of the satanic zionist nazi fascist imperialist usurpers.  The days of Maliki and his thugs are well numbered.

Maliki says he fears return of Saddam Hussein’s Baath party to power

By Ali Latif

Iraqi premier says he fears return of Saddam Hussein’s Baath party to power

Azzaman, November 3, 2009

Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki is still obsessed with former leader Saddam Hussein and his Baath party despite his decision to have Saddam executed and his party banned for ever.

In latest remarks, he is reported to have said that "some regional" states would like to see the Baath party reinstated in power in Iraq.

And in almost all his recent media speeches, the Baath party is present. He blames elements belonging to ousted pan-Arab faction for the upsurge in violence, deadly attacks on Iraqi and U.S. troops as well as the latest spate of massive bombings in Baghdad.

Three things are driving Maliki to turn into a fear-monger.

The first is the withdrawal of U.S. occupation troops sometime in the middle of next year. Maliki’s troops have proved to be inefficient and ineffective in keeping law and order since the retreat of U.S. troops to their fortified barracks.

The second concerns a new coalition led by Ayad Alawi, a veteran Iraqi politician and a former Baath party official who turned against Saddam Hussein. Alawi is strengthening his coalition by luring both Sunni and Shiite factions disappointed with Maliki’s leadership.

Alawi is a Shiite but a secular one. He wants to put an end to the domineering role religious Shiite factions and their Kurdish allies have been playing in post-U.S. invasion Iraqi politics.

The third, and more scary for Maliki, is the announcement by Izzat Ibrahim, Saddam’s most senior aide, who has been able to escape detention so far, of a new formation bringing together disparate Iraqi resistance groups.

Some 50 rebel groups are said to be under the new resistance umbrella Ibrahim leads. They all want nothing short of an immediate withdrawal of U.S. occupation troops and an end to the rule of the factions the U.S. has helped rule Iraq whether Shiite, Sunni or Kurd.

The security lapses and mounting violence seem to have emboldened Ibrahim who in a recent statement is reported to have predicted a return to power in the near future.

Please sign petition to bring Tony Blair to trial as a war criminal

http://www.petitiononline.com/BWCF/

To:  President of the United Nations General Assembly and the UK Attorney General

BWCF - THE BLAIR WAR CRIMES FOUNDATION

To The President of The United Nations General Assembly, H.E. Father Miguel D’Escoto Brockmann, and The Attorney General of the United Kingdom, and their successors in office.

RE ANTHONY CHARLES LYNTON BLAIR

We, the citizens of the United Kingdom and other countries listed, wish to uphold The United Nations Charter, The 1998 Rome Statute of The International Criminal Court, The Hague and Geneva Conventions and the Rule of International Law, especially in respect of:-

1: 1949 Geneva Convention IV: Article 146
The High Contracting Parties undertake to enact any legislation necessary to provide effective penal sanctions for persons committing, or ordering to be committed, any of the grave breaches of the present Convention.

2: 1907 Hague Convention IV: Article 3
A belligerent party which violates the provisions of the said regulations shall, if the case demands, be liable to pay compensation. It shall be responsible for all the acts committed by persons forming part of its armed forces.

We therefore call on you to indict Anthony Charles Lynton Blair in his capacity as recent Prime Minister of the UK, so long as he is able to answer for his actions and however long it takes, in respect of our sample complaints relating to the 2003 Iraq War waged by the UK as ally to the United States of America.

We are concerned that without justice and respect for the rule of law, the future for us and our progeny in a lawless world is bleak, as revealed by recent US declarations about the use of torture and the events of December 2008 in Gaza show.

The following are our sample complaints relating to the Iraq War 2003-2009:

1: Deceit and conspiracy for war, and providing false news to incite passions for war, causing in the order of one million deaths, 4 million refugees, countless maimings and traumas.

2: Employing radioactive ammunition causing long-term destruction of the planetary habitat.

3: Causing the breakdown of civil administration, with consequent lawlessness, especially looting, kidnapping, and violence, and consequent breakdown of womens rights, of religious freedom, and child and adult education.

4: Failing to maintain the medical needs of the populace.

5: Despoliation of the cultural heritage of the country.

6: Supporting an ally that employs waterboarding and other tortures.

7: Seizing the assets of Iraq.

8: Using inhumane restraints on prisoners, including dogs, hoods, and cable ties.

9: Using Aggressive Patrolling indiscriminately, traumatising women and children and wrecking homes and property.

10: Marking bodies of prisoners with numbers, writing, faeces and other degrading treatment.

11: The use of cluster bombs and other indiscriminate weapons including white phosphorous on shake and bake missions.

12: Supporting indiscriminate rocket attacks from F16 fighter planes on women and children in Fallujah in Nov 2004

13: Supporting the shooting up of ambulances and medical personnel in Fallujah in Nov 2004

14: Supporting the expulsion of the entire population of Fallujah save for young men of military age, for a reprisal attack on that city in Nov 2004.

Dear Sheeple in the USA:

I shall NEVER tire of reminding you that the destiny of your nation is in the hands of sociopaths residing in the White House, Senate, Congress and corporate America.  It is my hope that you will reflect on both the Statements copied below and determine to take back America from the hands of those who have no conscience or remorse in using your children as fodder to secure the theft of resources in Islamic nations, and elsewhere in this world, at the same time that they reduce American freedom to abject slavery.  The future of America is bleak.  The rich are getting richer and the middle class is dead and buried.  In today's America you either have millions or you are poor.  You cannot count on retirement plans because the corporations fold and leave you in the lurch.  The ranks of the unemployed are swelling, the banks are running wild doing as they wish to enslave everyone and the whores and bastards in the government have long forgotten that they are suppose to represent WE THE PEOPLE.  You have allowed your corporations and government to do as they please as you stood by in silence for decades and now, as sociopaths will do, they have escalated their tyranny and terrorism to Islamic nations to usurp their resources and gain world domination using your children as pawns while they sit in ivory towers observing in demonic amusement.

It is time for a renewed America.  An America who returns to its core principals of fearing GOD and honoring the Constitution and the Bill of Rights and Civil Rights and respecting the sovereignty of other nations.  An America whose Courts are vehicles of justice instead of fascism and disregard for justice.  Change begins at home.  If you want to change something change yourselves and your nation and STOP supporting the sociopaths you elect from forcing change down the throats of those who live on the other side of the world.  Rest assured that the Islamic and Arab resistance will fight until all your children have fallen on their soil.  There is NO way for America to win over a people determined to be free in the same way that Americans fought the British to be sovereign.  The resistance will fight with the weapons they have and they will win so withdraw and save your children.  I urge you to take back the country and bring the sociopaths to accountability before time runs out.

BELIEVE THEIR IS A GOD !!!
BRING THE BUSH CROWD TO JUSTICE !!!!
TAKE BACK THE COUNTRY AND STOP SUPPORTING "israel"
RESTORE THE CONSTITUTION
OBSERVE THE BILL OF RIGHTS

Afghan Resistance Statement
UN, in the Claws of the Colonialists

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan

October 26, 2009

The UN has completed 64 years since its establishment. A few days ago, world Heads of States and envoys celebrated the 64th anniversary of the United Nations, calling it a common home.

In his audacious speech to the UN General Assembly, Moamar Al-Gaddafi said that 65 wars and battles have taken place since the formation of the United Nations but UN has not played any role to thwart them—rather its role has been very negative in this regard. The reason behind the failure of the World Body to help nations achieve their rights; to raise above discriminations to represent the oppressed people of the world and as a common house of the people on the planet, live up to its name, is that, that unfortunately, this Organization has remained in the grips of a few countries who arrogantly have kept it under their belly. The right of a veto by the 5 member countries of the Security Council is a wicked instrument which they use it time and again against the remaining members of the United Nations. Thus they have deprived other nations of their rights; hurled stumbling blocks in the way of development and prosperity of people and have denied them participation in the process of decision making.

The United Nations is now not a conduit to strive for realization of national independence and aspirations of people as per its Charter. It has not helped nations to prevent foreign aggressions but contrarily, this august World Body has supported foreign invasions; cooperated with them and has worked as a facilitating instrument for the invaders. The examples on hand are the issues of Palestine, Iraq and Afghanistan. The UN has sided with the arrogant and the murderers, brazenly calling those who resist the invasions, as aggressors.

If we take a quick look at the military aggression against the sovereignty of Afghanistan by America under unjustified and ambiguous pretexts and mull over the casualties, torture and prosecution of the Afghans at the hands of the invaders and the negative role being played by the United Nations in this regard, we easily reach the conclusion that putting great expectation on this Universal Body is just a mockery and illusion.

Former US president, George Bush, in his speech to the General Assembly on 12 September 2002, severely marred the dignity and reputation of the UN. He said, UN was only a venue of rhetorics and words, not a place of actions and decisions. He went on to say, if the UN is not going to disarm Iraq, America will do so. He did what he said in contravention of all international norms and rules and killed nearly one million Iraqis during the past six years.

They destroyed Iraqi institutions, infrastructures and damaged economic and social values ironically under the very eyes of the UN but this World Body instead of taking proper steps to prevent the destruction of the basic social and economic institutions, have only limited itself to issuing statistics of the destroyed facilities.

The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan considers the speech of the Libyan president Moamar Al-Gaddafi in UN General Assembly as a pragmatic and realistic speech, which pointed out the weakness and inadequacy of the United Nations. We hope other rulers of the world should show enough determination and toughness to restore to this World Body its lost status. They should try to release the UN from the claws of a few usurpers who have their hold on the United Nations or at least, try to weaken their grip on this International Body.

GODLY?

See? The American crowd of Zionist Repuglicon enemies,
who know as a fact, Bush and the Peenackers did 911,
but fascistically lie to demonically support the further
tyrannical indiscriminate murder of innocent children
like Your own to glorify in their mutual hatred for
Freedom, God, or great People like me, do it because
they KNOW, they are despised universally. so support
hiding themselves in the darkness of advancing
ungodly censorship to escape the traitor Neocon.
Americans lie about me, because if they simply allowed
US to speak freely they, would look as dumb and evil
as they truly is. This is more about American
conservative 'know-it-all' pirates, than supporting
the defense of innocent American lives, or the values
of Justice to truly defend our freedoms. They are enemies
of everyone, which is of themselves. Bushite will kill
bushite for a stolen nickel, and, they know it too.
No honor among thieves. So, this idea where, everyone
else under the sun, aka the billions and billions
and billions of not right wing goose stepping Ideologue
cartoons, but the massively diverse, impossible to group
"Liberals", find themselves trying to change the
patently ignorantly evil to only respect the lives
of others, generally never comes. They don't care. This
Life for them isn't about integrity, honor, respect, or love.
As so, when the Zionist/Nazis thankfully finally
reach their well deserved graves, we are all less burdened by
their blind evil hatred of Humanity and pitiless self
loathing. When the bushite grunting Soldier dies,
well.. that is truly glory unto God. For you know more
innocent lives have been saved from tyranny when the
lawless Grunt is gone good and buried under. But we ALL
know that already. Die bushite die.

Bushite "I don't care."

US wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are traitorous, un-American, and cowardly
http://www.examiner.com/x-18425-LA-County-Nonpartisan-Examiner~y2009m9d16-US-war s-in-Iraq-and-Afghanistan-are-traitorous-cowardly-and-unAmerican

Bushite grunters are war criminal enemies of Freedom
in America. They cowardly refuse to defend the innocent
murder victims of 911, of Israeli, and us In Iraq and
Afghanistan, while lawlessly stealing everything for
evil intent as they die in tyranny. Ungodly as evil
enemies of Life that murder innocent People for stolen
money. Die bushite die.

Justice to the war criminals of indiscriminate warfare
would better serve ourselves to halt for our safety.
The bushmob did 911.

1. The ISI's General, Mahmoud Ahmad funded 911's Atta

2. We have video of iron flowing like water from the towers

"U.S. admits it has no case against teen held at Guantanamo"

Then arrest, try, and execute the bushite grunters
responsible for the torture and kidnapping, that does
still, warrant death under American law ushered by
Reagan. Then, hunt the "American" who believes these
rights are not your own to defend to the death.
Freedom for all.

The joosh CONtrol of the FRB to the IMF
Saudi Arabia on Wednesday decided to drop the widely used West Texas Intermediate oil contract as the benchmark for pricing its oil, dealing a serious blow to the New York Mercantile Exchange. The move by the world’s biggest oil exporter could encourage other producers to abandon the benchmark and threaten the dominance of the most heavily-traded oil futures contract. Riyadh’s decision follows the divergence of the WTI benchmark from the global oil market this year.

This entry was posted by Gwen Robinson on Thursday, October 29th, 2009 at 4:30 and is filed under Capital markets, Commodities. Tagged with nymex, oil, WTI.

------------ --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------

My take on this.

THE US dollar dominance is basically backed by OIL.

In 1971, the dollar was over-printed, even though it's supposedly was backed by gold.

US was technically bankrupt when foreign countries who own their currencies wanted to trade it back for gold, and the US has NONE, or not enough in their vault, due to corruption or siphoned away... That's why people keep saying Fort Knox has no more gold.

In order to prevent a global panic or market crash, the US strong armed and threatened the Saudis to sell their OIL only in US Dollars. So everyone followed suit, that was how the Dollar was saved and the USA continued to print paper money out of thin air and everyone in US was like, getting free money, free oil and they consume and consume and consume non-stop.

Then the game was up and foreign countries realise they've been had, and there's no way America can pay back it's debt. It has nothing to pay for all the consumption it has done.

Nobody wants to accept US dollars anymore for transactions, esp ones that is huge.

THe middle east had no choice but to do these action to remove the US Dollar from their stockpile and future trades.

They would kill 2 birds with one stone.

1. Remove their dependence on dollar and providing goods/oil for toilet paper.

2. Remove hegemony of western/Zionist power over oil producing countries.

Saddam Hussein did this in 2000, replacing the US with Euro if you wanna buy their oil.

Foreign Exchange: Saddam Turns His Back on Greenbacks - TIME

The US was royally pissed and they needed an excuse to invade Iraq.

What excuse did they come up with the following year?

No prizes for guessing.

Now, the US, would have to repeat that act again to save their dollars.

So, this WTI event could lead to chains of 'terror' attacks that would be blamed on the Arabs/middle east to justify an invasion so they can restore their dollar hegemony/dominance.

Be prepared as there WILL be FALSE FLAGS!

Aka government staged terror attacks that would be used to blame terrorists and justify invasion into another country.

The United States government might nuke some of it's own cities as 911 part 2 to justify war in the middle east.
I learned a lot a little too late,Donut learn as I did.  Take care & beware,FTG  The sun shineth upon the dunghill & isnt corrupted. We fear things in proportion to our ignorance of them. Confutatis maledictis, flammis acribus addictis

Gaza - Ma'an - The armed wing of Hamas, the Al-Qassam Brigades called for
the dissolution of the Palestinian Authority on Tuesday in a message on its
website.

The statement attributed to Al-Qassam spokesperson Abu Obaida was reacting
to what the group said was the a part of Egypt's reconciliation plan to
dissolve the group.

"Dissolution [of Al-Qassam] is a distant dream, no matter how some people
tried to explain the Egyptian paper in this regard, each has its own
interpretation, and therefore, this point needs to be fully clarified," the
statement said.

"What we can assure is that the dissolution of the PA is easier than
Al-Qassam Brigades or the brave resistance factions," the statement
continued.

Hamas' rival, Fatah, signed the Egyptian proposal last week. Hamas asked
Egypt to extend the deadline to allow more time to consider the plan.

After winning parliamentary elections in 2006, Hamas seized full control of
the Gaza Strip in June 2007, prompting President Mahmoud Abbas to dissolve a
unity government and splitting the West Bank off into a separate entity.

"The legality of the resistance is not a subject to negotiation and
discussion, and not in the rounds of reconciliation," Abu Obaida also said,
referring to the Egyptian proposal.

The spokesperson continued, "The resistance is the choice of the Palestinian
people under occupation."

PUERTO RICO IN CRISIS!

Puerto Rico is experiencing very difficult times. Puerto Ricans of the mainland cannot remain idle while Luis Fortuño’s administration moves forward with its widespread lay-off policy.

This constitutes social and economic barbarism that will only serve to worsen the crisis in which the country is submerged. It will promote privatization of basic infrastructural services to thousands of Puerto Ricans, mostly the poor. Almost 20,000 civil servants already have or will be laid-off their jobs, putting at risk and hopelessness thousands of families affected directly and indirectly by this effort.

The colonial administrations, statehood and commonwealth supporters equally, are guilty of today’s suffocating working-class high taxes, the imposition of a sales tax and the partial or complete privatization of our national patrimonies. We cannot forget Pedro Rosselló’s administration, which privatized great part of our country, including fifty one percent (51%) of Puerto Rico Telephone Company and almost all health services providers throughout the Island. The Calderón Administration privatized the Authority of Aqueducts and Sewage, patrimony that we managed to rescue. To top it all, previous administrations efforts to sell Puerto Rico Telephone Company were concluded by the Acevedo Vilá administration. The transnational Mexican company America Mobil bought it. This unleashed a teacher’s strike, and an attempt to curtail workers rights and a few of the combatant unions in the Island.

That same administration, along with the Legislative Assembly of the PNP, imposed the IVU tax and raised taxes to the working-class while exempting special interests from paying taxes. To make matters worse, certain North American unions, with the aim of inter-nationalizing their businesses, have come down to the Island and have started negotiating our constitutional rights, curtailing the working class struggle that has always been a reflection of our people.

Undoubtedly, it is the moment work towards a sincere united front made up of all the progressive and social sectors in struggle to engage the colonial and capitalist crossroads that are facing Puerto Rico.

On the Island, on October 15 , diverse workers unions, community and student organizations will unite to invoke a NATIONAL GENERAL STRIKE. New York cannot lie back without demanding justice. We call upon the different organizations, individuals, and activists in the United States to help us fight and support Puerto Rico’s poor, working, and middle classes struggle to demand its socioeconomic rights. At the moment, different activists, together with the Puerto Rican Independence Party, Committee of NY we have decided to meet to organize the required support with the NATIONAL GENERAL STRIKE to be carried out in Puerto Rico. Reason why, we invite you to partake on the protest to take place on October 15th in front of the Offices of Puerto Rico in New York (PRFAA).

MAHMOUD ABBAS IN ROME, THE UNSOLVED ISSUES OF PNA PRESIDENT

(by Alessandro Logroscino) (ANSAmed) - RAMALLAH, OCTOBER 6 - It is a battered Mahmoud Abbas who arrives in Italy, hounded by a series of worries from the challenge of Hamas at home, to the uncertain prospects for the resumption of peace talks with Israel, to the fresh wave of tensions in East Jerusalem. The 71-year-old moderate leader of the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) is expected in Rome and at the Vatican for high-level meetings, where he will have a chance to discuss the uncertainties which still hover in the ever-troubled air above the Middle East, and where he will be able to take a deep breath and receive renewed international legitimisation. This will not however be enough to wipe out the concerns he leaves at the door of the bunker in the Muqata, headquarters of the Palestinian Presidency in Ramallah (West Bank). The congress to relaunch his party (Al-Fatah, secular) which consolidated his position in summer now seems far away. Prospects for a real resumption of negotiations between Israel and Palestine seem just as far away, since the first steps taken by American President Barack Obama. And in the absence of tangible results, especially the failure to freeze building in the Jewish settlements, Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) finds himself grappling with agitation and protests. A widespread feeling of discontent forms the background to the fresh wave of tensions which has spread through Jerusalem in recent days. The scene of continuous disturbances and head-to-heads between police and Palestinian demonstrators, outraged by plans by Jewish nationalists to go into the Temple Mount - the disputed site of the 'holy city' for Arabs - during the Jewish celebrations of Kippur and Sukkot. Disturbances which the Israeli authorities have blamed on "troublemakers" and which the Islamic Movement confirmed with their megaphones. Disturbances which give the Right in the PNA an opportunity to accuse the Israeli government of "provocative" behaviour, to condemn the plans for the "Jewification of the whole of Jerusalem" ascribed to Premier Benyamin Netanyahu and even to suggest the spectre of a general revolt: a "third intifada". Politically though, the thorniest issue to land at Mahmoud Abbas' feet is the recent publication of the report signed by South African judge Richard Goldstone on behalf of the United Nations. The report looks into the recent Israeli Fused Lead offensive (killing around 1,400 people) in the Gaza Strip, the Palestinian enclave which came under the control of Hamas in 2007. The report is harshly critical of Israel (with accusations of war crimes and crimes against humanity) and was to have been put to the vote at the UN Human Rights commission in recent days. But the examination of the report has been put back several months, with the agreement of delegations from several Arab countries, including the PNA, following fears over an Israeli reaction towards the peace process and US pressure. This concession has laid Mahmoud Abbas open to accusations of "treachery", from Hamas, a few days before a key meeting for the future of Palestinian domestic peace: the meeting scheduled for October 26 in Cairo by Egyptian mediators is to decide on a potential compromise between the President's party (in power in the West Bank) and Gaza separatists. Mahmoud Abbas was expecting to arrive at the meeting in a relatively strong position. But the Goldstone case is threatening to cripple him. So much so that the postponement of the report, which has been openly criticised by Arab countries such as Syria and Qatar and which has been used by Arab-Israeli party Balad to call for the leader's resignation, has caused waves of protest on the streets of the West Bank itself, even among the ranks of the PNA (with one minister threatening to stand down). Today, chief negotiator Saeb Erekat was compelled to consider an embarrassed 'change of mind'' at the UN offices. (ANSAmed).

Beloved Brethren and Comrades,

The situation in Puerto Rico is abominable for the half of the population which is forced to live in poverty and unable to make living wages while the thieves in the Senate get richer by the day.

A well deserved kiss of respect goes to my brother Roberto Garcia who was brave enough to throw an egg at the face of the zionist nazi boot licker running Puerto Rico into the toilet and shouting out the truth in his face.

May GOD reward Roberto Garcia for standing up to tyranny and injustice like a real man.  I send him my blessings and a kiss of respect.
Roberto Garcias name must be added to the list of the Puerto Rican patriots who have -and are- resisting the terror and occupation of Puerto Rico by the United States of America.

In the hands of a patriot an egg or shoe are just as good as a conventional weapon.  If every Puerto Rican had thrown an egg at Fortuno the situation in Puerto Rico would no longer be what it is.  I ask every Puerto Rican to grab an egg and a shoe and do his/her patriotic duty and let Fortuno shake like a rat in fear of a humble egg and old shoes.

VIVA ROBERTO GARCIA !!
VIVA PUERTO RICO LIBRE !!  IT IS TIME TO MAKE THE THIEVES ACCOUNTABLE TO THE PEOPLE !!

Puerto Rico: Mass layoffs provoke protests, strikes

By Bill Van Auken
5 October 2009

Puerto Rican workers and students have responded with protests and strikes to the September 25 announcement by the island’s government that it is laying off 17,000 public employees in response to its mounting fiscal crisis.

The layoffs are not only decimating the ranks of public workers, but will result in the shutdown of entire agencies, the cutback of social services and a sharp rise in unemployment in Puerto Rico.

According to the government’s own estimates, the layoffs will increase the unemployment rate from just under 16 percent—higher than any US state—to over 17 percent. This, however, is a rosy scenario, given that it factors in only the 17,000 layoffs and not their impact on the wider economy in terms of reduced consumption and the resulting additional job losses in the private sector.

Already, Puerto Rico’s poverty rate—some 45 percent of the population living below the federal poverty line—is far higher than that in the US, while the median income amounts to barely half that of the US population.

The massive layoffs announced last month are by no means the end of the Fortuño government’s austerity policy. It is anticipated that at least 30,000 public workers will lose their jobs, while the government has vowed to shut down some 40 agencies through a process of privatization and consolidation.

Elected last year as the candidate of the pro-statehood New Progressive Party of Puerto Rico (known by its Spanish acronym PNP), Luis Fortuño is the first governor affiliated to the US Republican Party in 40 years.

In March, just three months after taking office, Fortuño imposed a “Special Law Declaring a State of Fiscal Emergency,” or Public Law 7, unilaterally suspending for two years all collective bargaining rights and social protections for public employees, while mapping out plans for $2 billion in reductions in the territory’s annual budget. This means a 20 percent cut across the board.

Fortuño claimed that without such drastic cutbacks, the government would face a shutdown before the end of the year. In 2006, the fiscal crisis forced such a shutdown, closing government offices and public schools for two weeks. Since then, the island has been mired in a recession that has been substantially deepened by the world financial meltdown.

Puerto Rico’s government deficit is estimated at $3.2 billion, the equivalent of 29 percent of the territory’s general fund. While in absolute terms, this amount is dwarfed by California’s deficit, which has become an international concern, in relative terms, Puerto Rico’s deficit is significantly higher.

Fortuño traveled to Washington last week to plead for more federal assistance, meeting with Obama’s chief economic adviser Lawrence Summers and Treasury Department officials. He claimed that the federal officials were “shocked” by the depth of the island’s fiscal crisis.

The governor also traveled to New York for meetings with the credit rating agencies, Moody’s and Standard & Poor’s, which have ranked Puerto Rico’s debt at just one notch above “junk” status—the worst for any US territory. Any further drop would make it nearly impossible for the Puerto Rican government to raise capital. The Government Development Bank of Puerto Rico estimates that a decline in investment grade would quickly translate into a 25 percent official unemployment rate. Fortuño assured Wall Street that his administration would carry through the brutal austerity measures that the banks are demanding.

The Fortuño government has declared the source of the island economy’s crisis to be “big government” and the solution to be mass layoffs and privatization of government services and basic infrastructure.

“Government became the cure-all for Puerto Rico’s economy,” Fortuño’s secretary of state, Kenneth McClintock, told the media. “That doesn’t work in a capitalist economy.”

In reality, the size of Puerto Rico’s government relative to the population is roughly equivalent to the average size of US state governments.

The source of the island’s deepening crisis is not government, but capitalism itself. The introduction of Operation Bootstrap in the late 1940s, together with the setting up of the commonwealth government in what remains a US colony, was aimed at turning the island into a low-tax, cheap-labor platform for US-based corporations to reap super profits. While the strategy produced economic growth over the next two decades, it did little to create jobs, under conditions in which the unemployment rate rose even as growing numbers of Puerto Ricans left the island for US cities.

Fortuño and his party remain committed to this free market capitalist program and are determined to keep corporate taxes at the lowest possible level in order to attract multinational corporations, particularly big pharmaceutical companies like Pfizer and Merck. The opposition Popular Democratic Party, which was in power in 2006 during the last fiscal crisis and mass layoffs, shares this position.

In response to the layoffs, the three major union federations in Puerto Rico—the General Union of Workers, the Federation of Workers and the Coalition All Puerto Rico—have called a general strike for October 15, two weeks before the bulk of the mass layoffs are to take effect. While a similar call for a one-day strike was issued in the midst of the government shutdown in 2006, the bureaucracy called it off.

Since the layoff announcement, there have been continuous marches and demonstrations on the island.

The latest protest was staged Saturday night at a performance of the Symphonic Orchestra of Puerto Rico, where hundreds of students and workers marched against the layoffs and also over reports that Governor Fortuño had ordered that hundreds of tickets be bought up and given to his closest aides and supporters in a bid to prevent protesters from joining the audience as he attended the performance. Art students from the University of Puerto Rico said that they had been refused when they sought to buy tickets. In the end, Fortuño stayed away.

The governor has responded with violence and fear against the protests. Shock troops from the Tactical Operations Unit have been deployed repeatedly at demonstrations, in several cases violently attacking protesters.

When he attended a ceremony in the eastern port of Fajardo, announcing a new contract for boat repairs that would supposedly create jobs, a member of the audience threw a rotten egg at the governor. Roberto Garcia, a former employee of the Roosevelt Roads Naval Base and a father of five, threw the egg, yelling, “Charlatan…hypocrite, how dare you talk about jobs when you’re taking work away from everybody?”

Garcia was immediately arrested and charged with attempted aggression and resisting arrest.

Fortuño, apparently shaken, refused to speak to the media after the incident, telling reporters, “You have abandoned me.”

Earlier in the week, students at the University of Puerto Rico in Rio Piedras carried out a 24-hour strike against the layoffs, joining with university workers and professors in a protest march.

The agency facing the deepest cuts is the Puerto Rican Department of Education, where 7,249 workers are to lose their jobs, and a large number of school programs face elimination.

“The government is wrong,” Aida Diaz, president of the Puerto Rican Teachers Association, told the Puerto Rican daily El Nuevo Dia. “This is the biggest injustice that can be done against working people by a group of people who have never experienced poverty.

El Nuevo Dia reported Sunday that one program on the chopping block was the Administraton for Agricultural Services and Development, which bought produce from local farmers for school lunch programs. “After October, students in the education system will no longer receive on their menus fruit, fresh vegetables…and other agricultural products made in local plants.” The article was headlined, “Canned food to be served to students.”

Israeli envoy in Russia sent home

BBC News

October 1, 2009

An Israeli diplomat has left his post in Russia after being accused of "unlawful activities", reports say.

Shmuel Polishuk, the first secretary of Israel's Moscow embassy, was reportedly detained in the city last week.

Russian intelligence agents questioned him on suspicion of spying, Israel's Maariv newspaper reported.

"Shmuel Polishuk was caught red-handed in Moscow," Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Andrei Nesterenko was quoted as saying by Reuters news agency.

"He has already left for home."

After discussions between Russia and Israel, it was decided the diplomat would not be declared persona non grata - the term usually applied to expelled spies - but would have to leave the country, Maariv reported.

A spokesman from the Israeli embassy said the two countries were working to solve what he called a "misunderstanding", dismissing suggestions the diplomat had been expelled on espionage charges, AP reported.

CREATING ENEMIES WHERE THEY DON’T EXIST

Malcom Lagauche

Saturday-Tuesday, September 26-29, 2009

In March of 2008, the Dutch parliamentarian, Geert Wilders, announced that he was about to release a documentary about the evils of Islam. Before it came out, Wilders portrayed himself as a beacon of freedom of speech and said that the documentary would include many eye-opening items. His pre-publicity was far more striking than the film. Instead of including fresh information with research, he just copied and pasted existing film and came out with some dubious subtitles that were far out of context.

At that time, the online chat group of the Atheist Coalition of San Diego included a link to the documentary, but with a curious title: Video to Be Banned. I am president of the Atheist Coalition of San Diego and I responded to the allegation that Wilders’ work was soon to be banned.

_________________________________________________

First of all, "Fitna," the movie, is not about to be banned. It is available through numerous websites. When it was released, there was a hold put on it by various groups, mostly because of legalities. The producer, Geert Wilders, used copyrighted material without permission and he also used a picture of a Dutch rap singer, Salah Edin, and wrongfully identified him as a Muslim terrorist.

Wilders stated that the movie should not be banned because freedom of speech was too important in issue. I agree. However, Wilders went against his own philosophy.

In March 2008, the Dutch Muslim Broadcasting Association (NMO) agreed to show the film under the conditions that no illegal material was included and that Wilders would agree to take part in a debate with proponents and opponents. He declined and said, "No way, NMO."

I was disappointed when I first watched the film. Instead of new and fresh information, all I saw was some old worn-out material, some from real video and some from made-up in-studio productions. Plus, most of the footage was taken well out of context. For one, several protestors with anti-Western signs that stated provocative messages were shown during a demonstration in London. However, these people represented about a dozen demonstrators out of about 750. Many of the remaining approximate 738 were interviewed by British press representatives and they expressed their disgust at the dozen or so fanatics and said they disagreed with their messages.

We are shown various newspaper and magazine headlines depicting Muslims wanting to take over The Netherlands or the world. Some of these publications are similar to U.S. counterparts such as The Enquirer. But, if one does not speak Dutch or does not know the publications, he/she would not be able to make this comparison.

In September 2008, someone in Seattle killed six innocent people. He told the judge that God ordered him to do it. This is an act of terrorism.

In 2007, 16,929 people were murdered in the U.S. It can be reasonably assumed that several thousand of these unfortunate citizens were recipients of death at the hands of someone they did not know. This is classic terrorism: the killing of innocent people. It happens almost daily: in stores, in the work place, on the highways, etc. But, we never hear them called terrorist attacks. One is more likely to get killed in the U.S. by an act of aggression from a U.S. non-Muslim citizen than he/she would be by an Islamic missile or bomb.

In addition, 90,427 rapes were reported in the U.S. in 2007. Again, these are acts of terrorism.

Putting this information together, would one celebrate the publishing of a 17-minute video calling all U.S. citizens terrorists? And, because the vast majority of the murderers would be Christians, also blaming Christianity for the deaths? Of course not.

Wilders' video is an instrument to divide people and make up a bogeyman.

Of course, some of the activities of Islamic fundamentalists are reprehensible. But, to say they represent the thought process of all Muslims is as ludicrous as saying all U.S. citizens support rape and murder of their own people.

Unfortunately, it seems that the U.S. can only survive with a perceived enemy. Once the Cold War ended, there were no more dirty commies to bash. Now, it's the Muslim's turn. As an atheist, this disturbs me because the same illogic used to demonize all Muslims is the same now used to denigrate atheists in the U.S. In fact, recent polls show that atheists are slightly less welcome than Muslims in the minds of the citizenry of our country. About 42% of U.S. citizens say they would not want their children to marry a Muslim and 46% say they would not want their kids to marry an atheist. The blanketing of any minority in a negative manner is sick and used by the majority to depict a false sense of superiority. History shows us the results.

Subject: Zaidi: My Flower to Bush, the Occupier The Story of My Shoe

Bismillah Hir Rahman Nir Rahim,

I send my blessings and a heart felt kiss of respect to our brother Muntadhar Al-Zaidi .  May ALLAH protect him from all harm and reward him in both worlds for throwing his shoes at satan's maggot Bush.  What he did was an act of bravery and love for his nation equal to the Mujahideen in the battlefield who risks his/her life every day for the sake of liberating Iraq, Palestine, Afghanistan or any other of our nations. Muntadhar Al-Zaidi is -and forever shall be- one of our most honored and respected heros. The words that he has spoken in the wake of his release shall not be forgotten.

My heart is filled with much love and gratitude for our brother Muntadhar Al-Zaidi and all of the noble and brave Mujahideen in Iraq for their service above and beyond the call of duty and warning is sent to Maliki and his fellow criminals- who came into Iraq on the back of American tanks- that the day of accounting is approaching and they will receive what they deserve when Iraq is recaptured by the one and only true government of Iraq the Baathist Party.  On that day the criminals will run and find NO place to hide and the occupiers will not be able to save them. Justice will be done insha'Allah very soon.

I take this opportunity to remind world leaders that the vermin in 'pigsrael' continue their assaults, genocide and usurpation of land in Palestine while the UN engages in pure theater and meaningless words.  We are not pleased by your continued siding with the zionist nazi entity and urge you to put teeth into 'israel' rather than nurturing its genocide.  Remember that all things must and do change so the debt that many of you have pending is due and shall be collected in GOD's time.  It is a large debt therefore please start holding 'israel' to account for its crimes before GOD comes for HIS due.

ALLAHU AKBAR !!
BLESSED AND LONG LIVE OUR HERO MUNTADHAR AL-ZAIDI !!
BLESSED AND LONG LIVE THE BAATH AND THE MUJAHIDEEN OF IRAQ !
BLESSED AND LONG LIVE IRAQ ARAB AND FREE FOREVER!
BLESSED AND LONG LIVE PALESTINE ARAB AND FREE FROM THE RIVER TO THE SEA!
DEATH TO 'PIGSRAEL', ZIONIST NAZISM AND THE NEW WORLD ORDER!

My Flower to Bush, the Occupier

The Story of My Shoe

By Muntadhar Al-Zaidi

September 15, 2009

Muntadhar al-Zaidi, the Iraqi who threw his shoe at George Bush gave this speech on his recent release.

In the name of God, the most gracious and most merciful.

Here I am, free. But my country is still a prisoner of war.

Firstly, I give my thanks and my regards to everyone who stood beside me, whether inside my country, in the Islamic world, in the free world. There has been a lot of talk about the action and about the person who took it, and about the hero and the heroic act, and the symbol and the symbolic act.

But, simply, I answer: What compelled me to confront is the injustice that befell my people, and how the occupation wanted to humiliate my homeland by putting it under its boot.

And how it wanted to crush the skulls of (the homeland's) sons under its boots, whether sheikhs, women, children or men. And during the past few years, more than a million martyrs fell by the bullets of the occupation and the country is now filled with more than 5 million orphans, a million widows and hundreds of thousands of maimed. And many millions of homeless because of displacement inside and outside the country.

We used to be a nation in which the Arab would share with the Turkman and the Kurd and the Assyrian and the Sabean and the Yazid his daily bread. And the Shiite would pray with the Sunni in one line. And the Muslim would celebrate with the Christian the birthday of Christ, may peace be upon him. And despite the fact that we shared hunger under sanctions for more than 10 years, for more than a decade.

Our patience and our solidarity did not make us forget the oppression. Until we were invaded by the illusion of liberation that some had. (The occupation) divided one brother from another, one neighbor from another, and the son from his uncle. It turned our homes into never-ending funeral tents. And our graveyards spread into parks and roadsides. It is a plague. It is the occupation that is killing us, that is violating the houses of worship and the sanctity of our homes and that is throwing thousands daily into makeshift prisons.

I am not a hero, and I admit that. But I have a point of view and I have a stance. It humiliated me to see my country humiliated. And to see my Baghdad burned. And my people being killed. Thousands of tragic pictures remained in my head, and this weighs on me every day and pushes me toward the righteous path, the path of confrontation, the path of rejecting injustice, deceit and duplicity. It deprived me of a good night's sleep.

Dozens, no, hundreds, of images of massacres that would turn the hair of a newborn white used to bring tears to my eyes and wound me. The scandal of Abu Ghraib. The massacre of Fallujah, Najaf, Haditha, Sadr City, Basra, Diyala, Mosul, Tal Afar, and every inch of our wounded land. In the past years, I traveled through my burning land and saw with my own eyes the pain of the victims, and hear with my own ears the screams of the bereaved and the orphans. And a feeling of shame haunted me like an ugly name because I was powerless.

And as soon as I finished my professional duties in reporting the daily tragedies of the Iraqis, and while I washed away the remains of the debris of the ruined Iraqi houses, or the traces of the blood of victims that stained my clothes, I would clench my teeth and make a pledge to our victims, a pledge of vengeance.

The opportunity came, and I took it.

I took it out of loyalty to every drop of innocent blood that has been shed through the occupation or because of it, every scream of a bereaved mother, every moan of an orphan, the sorrow of a rape victim, the teardrop of an orphan.

I say to those who reproach me: Do you know how many broken homes that shoe that I threw had entered because of the occupation? How many times it had trodden over the blood of innocent victims? And how many times it had entered homes in which free Iraqi women and their sanctity had been violated? Maybe that shoe was the appropriate response when all values were violated.

When I threw the shoe in the face of the criminal, Bush, I wanted to express my rejection of his lies, his occupation of my country, my rejection of his killing my people. My rejection of his plundering the wealth of my country, and destroying its infrastructure. And casting out its sons into a diaspora.

After six years of humiliation, of indignity, of killing and violations of sanctity, and desecration of houses of worship, the killer comes, boasting, bragging about victory and democracy. He came to say goodbye to his victims and wanted flowers in response.

Put simply, that was my flower to the occupier, and to all who are in league with him, whether by spreading lies or taking action, before the occupation or after.

I wanted to defend the honor of my profession and suppressed patriotism on the day the country was violated and its high honor lost. Some say: Why didn't he ask Bush an embarrassing question at the press conference, to shame him? And now I will answer you, journalists. How can I ask Bush when we were ordered to ask no questions before the press conference began, but only to cover the event. It was prohibited for any person to question Bush.

And in regard to professionalism: The professionalism mourned by some under the auspices of the occupation should not have a voice louder than the voice of patriotism. And if patriotism were to speak out, then professionalism should be allied with it.

I take this opportunity: If I have wronged journalism without intention, because of the professional embarrassment I caused the establishment, I wish to apologize to you for any embarrassment I may have caused those establishments. All that I meant to do was express with a living conscience the feelings of a citizen who sees his homeland desecrated every day.

History mentions many stories where professionalism was also compromised at the hands of American policymakers, whether in the assassination attempt against Fidel Castro by booby-trapping a TV camera that CIA agents posing as journalists from Cuban TV were carrying, or what they did in the Iraqi war by deceiving the general public about what was happening. And there are many other examples that I won't get into here.

But what I would like to call your attention to is that these suspicious agencies -- the American intelligence and its other agencies and those that follow them -- will not spare any effort to track me down (because I am) a rebel opposed to their occupation. They will try to kill me or neutralize me, and I call the attention of those who are close to me to the traps that these agencies will set up to capture or kill me in various ways, physically, socially or professionally.

And at the time that the Iraqi prime minister came out on satellite channels to say that he didn't sleep until he had checked in on my safety, and that I had found a bed and a blanket, even as he spoke I was being tortured with the most horrific methods: electric shocks, getting hit with cables, getting hit with metal rods, and all this in the backyard of the place where the press conference was held. And the conference was still going on and I could hear the voices of the people in it. And maybe they, too, could hear my screams and moans.

In the morning, I was left in the cold of winter, tied up after they soaked me in water at dawn. And I apologize for Mr. Maliki for keeping the truth from the people. I will speak later, giving names of the people who were involved in torturing me, and some of them were high-ranking officials in the government and in the army.

I didn't do this so my name would enter history or for material gains. All I wanted was to defend my country, and that is a legitimate cause confirmed by international laws and divine rights. I wanted to defend a country, an ancient civilization that has been desecrated, and I am sure that history -- especially in America -- will state how the American occupation was able to subjugate Iraq and Iraqis, until its submission.

They will boast about the deceit and the means they used in order to gain their objective. It is not strange, not much different from what happened to the Native Americans at the hands of colonialists. Here I say to them (the occupiers) and to all who follow their steps, and all those who support them and spoke up for their cause: Never.

Because we are a people who would rather die than face humiliation.

And, lastly, I say that I am independent. I am not a member of any politicalparty, something that was said during torture -- one time that I'm far-right, another that I'm a leftist. I am independent of any political party, and my future efforts will be in civil service to my people and to any who need it, without waging any political wars, as some said that I would.

My efforts will be toward providing care for widows and orphans, and all those whose lives were damaged by the occupation. I pray for mercy upon the souls of the martyrs who fell in wounded Iraq, and for shame upon those who occupied Iraq and everyone who assisted them in their abominable acts. And I pray for peace upon those who are in their graves, and those who are oppressed with the chains of imprisonment. And peace be upon you who are patient and looking to God for release.

And to my beloved country I say: If the night of injustice is prolonged, it will not stop the rising of a sun and it will be the sun of freedom.

One last word. I say to the government: It is a trust that I carry from my fellow detainees. They said, 'Muntadhar, if you get out, tell of our plight to the omnipotent powers' -- I know that only God is omnipotent and I pray to Him -- 'remind them that there are dozens, hundreds, of victims rotting in prisons because of an informant's word.'

They have been there for years, they have not been charged or tried.

They've only been snatched up from the streets and put into these prisons. And now, in front of you, and in the presence of God, I hope they can hear me or see me. I have now made good on my promise of reminding the government and the officials and the politicians to look into what's happening inside the prisons. The injustice that's caused by the delay in the judicial system.

Thank you. And may God's peace be upon you
