Amplify! We need you! Once again, we have the opportunity to help Amplify with a
fundraiser. Channel 4, WWL-TV, asks that we send people out to the following
polling locations on Tuesday night. Volunteers need to arrive there at 7:45,
collect results, and call them into Channel 4. It takes until 9:00 at the
latest. Channel 4 makes a donation to Amplify for our help.

The locations we need to go to are listed below. We're looking for a volunteer
for each of the locations below. We'd prefer to have a parent at each location,
but we can make exceptions for upperclassmen to do it by themselves if needed.

Amplify Youth Members-

We have announced plans for a reunion for alumni of P.A./Amplify/PRIDE to be
held on Sunday, 12-26-10. This event is mainly intended for graduates, not
current participants. HOWEVER, we want you to be a part of it. We will do a
portion of our performance at the reunion and you will be invited to stay at the
reunion after the performance and socialize.

The cost for the reunion for the guests is $12 per person. However, it will only
cost current Troupe members $5 per person which you will pay at the door. So
please do not register online for the reunion and we will send out details soon
about the performance.

A little story for you - my day yesterday and today:

Paul tells me yesterday afternoon that the gifts we have so far for our adopted
family are in the back room in the office.
I think - awesome! The wrapping party on Thursday will be lots of fun and
everything's good.
I leave the office.
I go shopping for Audrey's Christmas presents.
I go home.
I wrap her presents in the awesome Tinkerbell wrapping paper I got.
I watch TV.
I eat dinner.
I go to sleep.

This morning, I wake up.
I come into the office.
While I am working extremely hard, I realize that I need to go to the restroom.
On my way to the back of the office to the restroom, I remember Paul telling me
about the gifts in the back room. I think, let me see exactly what we have. I
open the door expecting to see presents wall to wall, floor to ceiling.

Disappointed. Sad.

I wasn't necessarily disappointed or sad about y'all. I was thinking about those
kids and I was thinking about them waking up on Christmas morning and then I was
thinking about Audrey waking up on Christmas morning. I'm certainly not wealthy
but I can easily spare $10 or $15 to help make this Christmas special for this
family. It inspired me to go out and buy something for this family. I hope you
will too. So please, take 10 minutes out of your afternoon today and help
contribute for this family. We should easily have over 100 gifts.

By the way, here's a pic of what we have so far. The gifts we have are great but
the amount of gifts is pretty pitiful. If we don't receive a LOT more gifts in
the next 24 hours, this year will by far, be the least amount of presents we
give for our family. Seriously, in the past, we've had 10 times this amount of
gifts. So make a promise that you will go out and make this happen TODAY!!!

Some of you have asked if it's too late to sign up for Spring Trip. The answer
is NO!!!! While the initial deadline passed, we still have some spots available
on the bus. So we will continue to accept spring trip registrations until the
bus is full.

Spring Trip is an awesome experience. Go watch yearbook videos from the past few

Read the article!!!! We started this when we did the zone there a few years
ago!!! We partnered with the church and sponsored/hosted the MG Zone. Ms. Libby,
several youth, and I went to the church and proposed this to them and then we
all went to a Slidell City Council meeting to get the ordinance passed years
ago. This is how change happens. We started with 1 event and now it may be
spreading to a much larger series of events!!!
