Welcome to the world of ArtdollZ! Dolls have been around for thousands of years, yet still continue to evolve, and at the same time remain fundamentally the same, even today. They are expressions of ourselves, our hopes, dreams, and fears, and reflections of the world around us.
What IS an art doll though, exactly? And what is it made of? Fabric, paper, metal, assemblage, fibers, wood, paper mache, clay... there are almost as many different mediums as there are artists and everyone will interpret it a different way.
Please join us in an exploration of what dolls are, and what they can be! We encourage you to think outside the box, challenge yourself, learn new media, and make new friends!
Occasional swaps, RR's and the like are held, and we hope you'll find one to your liking!
Please be respectful of your fellow dollmakers, conduct yourselves as mature adults. Rudeness will not be tolerated! (and yes, we're quite serious about this)
COMMs are allowed on SUNDAY only. Political/religious posts are not allowed, as this list has **many** members, not all of whom will share the same beliefs. There are groups for the discussion of these topics, this group is for the discussion of artdolls. Please respect this.
Above all, have a good time here and get creative!
