In the year 2014....we will ask......What is empty, called the 2 "Ghost Train(s)", and though they are coming from 2 different directions, They are never destined to meet or cross paths.................The Speed-Rail, and The SunRail........neither shall intersect with the other.   Great planning!!
Just like your Tax dollars.....going to the Government at high speed, and from all different directions, but never (intersecting), coming back to the Tax Payers.

I wonder how close this Poll would be if people knew that SunRail, and SpeedRail will never cross paths.

Sarah Palin has stated that she will NOT be benefitting financially from her attendance at the Tea Party event......so where is the $100,000 plus money (that has been declared she is getting) going to? Can someone explain???

Palin is reportedly receiving a $100,000 speaking fee for the event, money that she says will be funneled back into conservative causes through her PAC. The former vice presidential nominee is now the only major GOP figure committed to the event, which has been plagued by sponsors backing out and an inability to sell tickets.

Asked Thursday night by Fox News host Greta Van Susteren if she is still planning to go, Palin responded: “You betcha.”

“I'm going to speak there because there are people traveling from many miles away to hear what that tea party movement is all about and what that message is that should be received by our politicians in Washington,” she said. “I'm honored to get to be there.” Read more ...

But why even accept it or request it, if she recognizes this "Party" to be the people's party of the future. How can anyone accept her words to be sincere words as the Main speaker, when she draws money from one organization, she is supposed to be Embracing, only to claim it is going to other "good causes". What's wrong with the Tea Party cause???...............She may be part of the ongoing problem, more-so then a part of the solution.

Let me be clear - I still strongly support Governor Palin - I think she's great.
The Tea Party Patriots are a for-profit group that hijacked the "movement" folks a long time ago and they appear to be patsy's for the entrenched GOP National political bosses - RINO Central.
I don't care if they give her $1,000,000 bucks - but they need to come clean about their real intentions - hijack the tea party movement and move it back into the GOP fold - core values or not.
That's why the Florida Tea Party was founded - to establish candidates that are Patriots first, party politics last.

I originally supported her when she accepted the Vice-Pres. seat, but lost all confidence in her when she stepped down (Quit),from her position as Governor. When one takes an Oath to serve the people in an elected office, I view that as No different then one who takes an Oath to serve the people , by joining the Military.
We punish those that take an Oath and then go AWOL in the military, but "Cheer" for a Politician who breaks that very similar and solemn Oath, when they violate it,  just to serve their own selfish purposes, of further self-promotion, salvation, or a "Higher" office.
How could I feel secure and grant allegiance to someone who Quits one office just to "save" themselve, and who then may seek Higher office in the near future.....I Value my country much more then that!!
We must seek those that are worthy through their DEEDS, not through their words or "aura". Sarah Palin has lost herself through her own actions.......Furthermore we must pursue to make the office of an Elected official to be so Undesirable (That's right Undesirable),...that only those that are True to America, will wish to serve!!

Read her book. I would have done the same thing and you probably would have, too –if you understood her position. She was the object of the most vicious attacks that were costing a fortune to defend –she had to defend them and it took from her job. So she turned the job over to someone she trusted to continue her obligation to the people and diverted the problem from the State. She went out and made the money to pay the bills and saved the State the distraction and expense, kept her family from much of the harassment and financial ruin in the process of defeating the left wing crazies intent on destroying her. She won every case, disproving every accusation. She is a valuable asset to our conservative/libertarian movement. We have few like her so don’t be so quick to throw her under the bus.  Go after a lib with your moral judgments –there’s a lot more there to criticize.  –Geo.

Why I'm Speaking at the Tea Party Convention

Please take a look at today’s USA Today op-ed on what I consider to be an honor to speak with great Americans at the upcoming Tea Party Convention. As noted in the article, people who are unable to attend the convention will be able to participate and watch some of the speeches online at twitter.com/SarahPalinUSA, or through various news outlets. You’ll be kept posted on which sites will be streaming over the internet so as many interested citizens as possible can participate in this Tea Party event. Thank you!

- Sarah Palin

You don't really think she was going to write a book criticizing herself......I can't believe that you are using that to justify her violating her Oath of Office.....come on Now!!!

–Geo.

Sarah Palin has stated that she will NOT be benefitting financially from her attendance at the Tea Party event......so where is the $100,000 plus money (that has been declared she is getting) going to? Can someone explain???

No one seems to want to ask why the $100,000.00 plus money. If it is such an Honor, then do it for FREE. If the claims is that this money will go to conservative causes, then why not leave it with the Tea Party people.....how much more conservative can you get???.....Or.......let the Tea Party donate the money.
All this sounds like the standard Political Garbage that has put this Country in the Tragic state it is in!!!

How sad America has become that we casually defend someone who violated their Oath of Office, by Resigning , simply because too many Ethics complaints were filed against her. What we are saying , when one defends her actions, is that this is the Best that America has to offer in service to the preservation of our Country. America is Truly on it's last path of existence as the country we once cherished, if this is what we want for this Country.
300 Million plus citizens in this country and some have chosen to embrace one who couldn't handle the "Heat" at the state level, while they hope she pursues a National office.  Have we become that desperate? The  2 sides to this story, have already been told,  because her side is clear. She took an Oath to serve and then changed her mind when the pressure got to heavy. Her Book is the 3rd side, a re-grouping after the facts. Why should I want to read her book, unless I want to disregard the facts that are real and presented before me. She cannot change History, and the facts, by writing a Book.

I have been reading  wetheepeople among other things on the internet and I have this to say to you... Get over yourself.  Even if you read the book it's quite obvious that you will still have the same mindset.  At least Sarah Palin stayed true to her beliefs and did not allow the far left and other naysayers to completely take away her dignity.  I know alot of people from Alaska and they agreed with her decision. It's sad that in our great country people are so consumed with being politically correct that they can't see the forest from the trees.  Do I agree with her decision... You betcha!

–Geo.

It seems to me that Sarah stirs up political controversy in the
elites, and that in and of itself makes me a fan. I was very
disappointed when she resigned, and did not take the critics head-on.
I have not read her book, but have read excerpts, heard interviews and
commentary, and it seems from my perspective, that she did exactly
what her oath would require - protect and defend the State of Alaska.
From all appearances, she took the burden of the attacks off of her
state and put them entirely onto herself. I am and will remain
suspicious of her as I think a healthy distrust for anyone in the
political arena is just good policy. And since I will never be able to
know exactly what her motives are (what is on her heart), then I have
to go with her record of DEEDS. That record, for the good of her
state, should be the shining example for every state in the union.

I do not know every thing about all the organizations she has been/
will be speaking for/too, but it seems once you do one for free, you
will be required to do them all for free. I know that I charge all my
clients the same price (including politicians - even the ones I
believe in), because it is just bad policy to start playing favorites.
She would destroy credibility if she started doing that. I think she
needs a standard fee for political speeches, because it is a
professional responsible approach for her to take. What she does with
those proceeds (such as gifting to the very organization that hired
her), will certainly be up for debate, but I for one am not against
people making money with their political position/talent (i.e. Rush,
Boortz, Beck)

Let me be clear - I still strongly support Governor Palin - I think she's great.

The Tea Party Patriots are a for-profit group that hijacked the "movement" folks a long time ago and they appear to be patsy's for the entrenched GOP National political bosses - RINO Central.

I don't care if they give her $1,000,000 bucks - but they need to come clean about their real intentions - hijack the tea party movement and move it back into the GOP fold - core values or not.

That's why the Florida Tea Party was founded - to establish candidates that are Patriots first, party politics last.

Are you serious or are you kidding? She voluntarily placed herself on the Ballot with the intention to serve the people. The people and their Tax dollars voted for a Governor to serve for 4 years. They picked her. She knew the term was for 4 years. The people put their Faith in her to serve the best interest of Alaska........She took an Oath to serve as their Governor, and then reneged on that promise to be their Governor and complete her term of 4 Years.......for NO real reason. There was NO question of Health, or any question of mental capability to serve....in otherwords she had NO , Absolutely , NO reason to "change her mind", and decide NOT to finish her term...... Her pledge, her word of Honor, Her Oath was to the people of Alaska, and she couldn't complete her term.....She Quit,.....NOW , some people want her to run for a National office????? What country is this....NOT America...!!!!
It is sad that one's word of Honor means Nothing anymore!!
Once again 300 Million plus people in this country, and she is the "Best" you can find............Sad,.....very Sad.

You keep saying she violated an oath but she did not. What is your basis for the clearly erroneous charge? And why make it? What is your goal? I understand the Left’s phony charges against this American patriot but what could be your motivation? And why pursue it through this forum?  We have serious business to discuss here.  –Geo.

I appreciate what you say, and support everyone's right to an opinion, but reflect if our Military personnel, (who take a similar Oath), decided that they to wanted to "get out" because things were getting "to rough".....Where would you be?
I am neither Left nor Right...............I am an American, and if you ever have to take an Oath, consider if you would feel right about "making excuses" to renege on that Oath. I hold Sarah Palin to the same standards that I would hold myself. I would stand true to my word, for my Country, and to the people. It is sad that you can't see that.

You betcha!

WASHINGTON -Sarah Palin says that if President Barack Obama "played the war card," he could improve his chances of being re-elected.
Palin says that declaring war on Iran or showing stronger support for Israel might convince voters that Obama is tougher than they think on national security and doing all he can to protect the U.S.
Otherwise, according to Palin, Obama won't be re-elected if he continues on his current path.
Palin was interviewed on "Fox News Sunday" — the network where the former GOP vice presidential nominee is a paid commentator.

Just my two cents but I fully agree with you on Palin. Nominate her and we lose. The GOP has a habit of ignoring the good ones and instead give us people like Dole, McCain and God forbid Palin. She is an empty suit (skirt?) politically naive beyond belief and cannot win, period. Why did we pass up Romney, Guliani, or anyone who could give the Dems a good run, for the disaster ticket that gave us obama (no caps for him). There are good alternatives for Conservatives, Tea Party not withstanding, they should be encouraged and induced to run now. We should be actively pursuing this instead of listening to pablum about " plain ole folks". I hesitate to join the debate because of the backlash, but will do so anyhow.

Romney / Huckabee might be a serious ticket to consider.

Tea Party people, and just plain good Americans....is this who you would prefer in the Whitehouse? I have no desire to see Obama even near the Whitehouse for another term, but my eyes are open enough, and I am Not mesmerized, as many, that I would allow her (Sarah Palin), even near that Presidential office.
So Sarah feels it is okay to declare War on another country just to Gain popularity? Sarah would use Americans Troops like little Toys, and sacrifice their lives, as part of a "Ratings" Game?.............I don't think so. Good People look elswhere for a wise and Smart Citizen to help bring America back to it's rightful path.....Sarah Palin is NOT the one!!!

That is your opinion, but let’s stop BASHING other people’s views.. that is counterproductive to unity.  Why be so quick to burn bridges.  It sounds like your giving up AGAIN like a set up for failure and disappointment.  We know this, there is not HEAD of TEA to target and I know you will have a difficult time with “this one”.. if you want to try to suppress free speech.. People have a right to voice their sentiments.. you don’t seem to agree with, and instead of listening and debating the issue you sow seeds of CONTENTION INSTEAD.

If you are sincerely interested in building unity you wouldn’t BASH people with other views and BASH her the way you have.  Your so quick to figuratively blow her head off for her “awol”.. We have concerns, but to go all out and DO WHAT you’ve been doing the last few days, you will do nothing but show what kind of personality you have that doesn’t appear to be conducive to the Tea Party Movement because you are IMPOSING expectations on it as if it is a party.

Boo hoo, your being a cry baby about Sarah Palin.. Just what do you think she should be?  In the kitchen?

I am sick of the cry babying about Sarah Palin, your exhibiting the same vitrioic saentiment toward “tea baggers” and  Sarah Palin..

If you expect the movement to be a voting PARTY, I don’t thknk it will happen, then you can have cause to judge your “party”.  This is the sentement of the Tea Party Movement.. it isn’t an endorcement by a party.

Sarah Palin is a great positive asset for conservatism. If you don’t like her then find someone you do like and support him. But stop knocking one of our own with these meaningless but quite offensive diatribes that only reflect poorly on yourselves. –Geo.
