Subject: Arjuna was never forced, then how can we force readers to read Bhagavad Gita?

Hare Krishna Friends,

The Bhagavad-Gita is universally renowned as the jewel of India's spiritual wisdom. Soon we are going to start reading Bhagavad Gita As It Is by HDG. A.C. BhaktiVedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada.

Disclaimer & comment from Moderator:

These mails will not disturb any one, this is the clear intention of moderators here. The spiritual motive to send BG shloka in mails to it's group members is to provide them an easy and convenient way of bringing BG in their daily lives, along with moral and social responsibilities. This effort has absolute no connection with fanatism, to brain wash people's mind. Please remember Arjuna was never forced by Lord Krishna to fight, Lord shared his desire and opinion to Arjuna and final decesion to fight was with Arjuna. It was finally Arjuna who willfully and with whole heart surrendered Lord and was thus was victorious.

Then how can we force readers to read Bhagavad Gita, but we inspire every one with love to atleast read for knowledge sake and if needed try practising the principle of bhagavad Gita.

Don't Miss The Train!!

" Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakura, a great acarya in te Brahma Madhva Gaudiya line, mentioned that those people who live close to the railway station miss the train more frequently than others . They tend to think,"The railway station is right here, just next to my house and i can go there anytime. "But when the train comes, they rush to get there, and before they reach, the train leaves.

On the other hand, someone who is living far away thinks, "Oh, I have to go one hour ahead to get the train." So he reaches the railway station well ahead of time and waits there.
Similarly, we should not be lazy or negligent with our spiritual life thinking that we are in India, the holy land. Then we may miss the vimanam, going to vaikuntha. We should book our ticket well in advance and be prepared to go to the spiritual world.
Caitanya Mahaprabhu says that in kaliyuga, to get a ticket you simply have to pay the price.Do you know what the price is ?

We have to chant the holy names,

Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare / Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare.

Hare Krishna Friends,

Please listen to a devotional song sung by George Harrisson.

Download it, from the link below (note: remove any blank space from between the link, while copying the url to the address bar)

http://www.4shared.com/file/151187770/1fc911c/my_sweet_lord.html

George Harrison(25 February 1943 – 29 November 2001)was an English rock guitarist, singer-songwriter and film producer who achieved international fame as lead guitarist in The Beatles.Often referred to as "the quiet Beatle", Harrison embraced Indian spiritualism, and helped broaden the horizons of the other Beatles, as well as those of their Western audience. Following the band's breakup, he had a successful career as a solo artist and later as part of the Traveling Wilburys, and also as a film and record producer. Harrison is listed number 21 in Rolling Stone magazine's list of "The 100 Best Guitarists of All Time".

Above all he was a devotee of Lord Krishna.

A devotee of Lord has a specific characteristic apart many good qualities. He devotes his one best/unique talent/quality which he is gifted with, in the glorification, in serving Lord and with this art he perfects his devotion to Lord, disciplines himself under the supervision of a spiritual master to please the Lord and in the end breaks the shackles of material world to achieve the kingdom of God.

One such devotee of Lord Krishna was, George Harrison. His spiritual master was HDG. AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada, who while giving him initiation said, George is already Lord Hari's (Lord Krishna) son, so from then onwards devotees always refered to him as harri ''s son (Harrison). Amazing !!!

All glories to all the people who devote their lives and use each & every thing in their lives just to Glorify The Lord.

** Initiation ceremony: An event in a devotees life, when he gets a Spiritual Master and gets a new vedic name, initiates spiritual life under SM's guidance. Vedic scritures call this second birth of a person. **

Hare Krishna Friends

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

A nice program was organised in the Delhi Tihar Jail No.2 on Wednesday, the 2nd December 2009.  Miss India Universe, Ms. Ekta Chowdhury,  was the Chief Guest.

The program started with kirtan by the devotees of our Temple.  The kirtan went on for about 1 hour which was enjoyed by all the prisoners.  All of them danced in ecstacy with Miss India and all the officials of the Prison present there.  The whole atmosphere was charged with the vibration of the Maha Mantra.  After the kirtan Ms.Chowdhury presented Bhagavad Gita As it is to the Director General of Prisons, Shri B.K. Gupta, and the Dy.Inspector General of Police, (DIG), Mr. C.R.Garg, and also to the Superintendent of Prisons, Jail No.2.  Thereafter, Miss India, the Diretor General, DIG and other Senior officials and sponsors of the Gita distributed Gita As it is to the prisoners.

The Director General gave a short speech in which he explained how ISKCON is doing very good preaching for the benefit of the prisoners through their ISKCON Prison Ministry Preaching Program around the world.  He also requested the prisoners to read the Bhagavad Gita and chant Hare Krishna Maha Mantra.  He said that copies of the Bhagavad Gita have been kept in the library of the Prisons and will be made available to those who have not received its copy.

Miss India also expressed her thoughts that she was afraid to participate in the Jail function as she did not know how the prisoners would behave.  But when she actually participated, she found the atmosphere very congenial and pleasing and expressed her satisfaction about the pleasant environment in the Jail.  She also enjoyed the entire program and advised the prisoners to forget the past, think about the present and remember Krishna always, read his message and following His instructions in their life.
For the First time A Food For Life Program was launched in the Tihar Jail.
The Government and the Police authorities requested us for the first time to distribute cooked prasadam to the prisoners to which we agreed.

His Holiness
Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaj desired to serve the prisoners once a week, every Saturday of the month in different jails.  1500 prisoners will be benefitted by the distribution of prasadam.  When the Director General announced that ISKCON has agreed to distribute high quality prasadam, all the prisoners clapped their hands and welcomed the announcement.  The entire electronic and print Media were present on the occasion and the whole program was covered by them.

After the program prasadam was distributed to all the prisoners, officials of the Prison and other VIP guests and the Media representatives and all of them enjoyed the prasadam.
A few photos taken on the occasion is attached herewith for your perusal.

Hare Krishna Ashish,

Today is your last mail from our groups, as you desire to seperate our ways, but before you sign off from this group, i felt like sharing the very reason, of why we run these groups.

Actually, at times one may feel these mails disturb us and greet us when we are not be looking forward for such mails. This happens most of the time simply because our life keeps us busy so much with day today activities, that we do not feel the need to look into finer aspects of the very life we live in.

We may have many visible things to do, to achieve for our satisfaction on visible level that we forget to look deep within our heart and soul.

Some people do write to me, we do not have any time to read such mails, as i have some better work to do, towards my goal of life. When i will be free, i may think to give some time to these mails.

Same like them, you will also have a goal of life, isn't it? You will be surprised to know that knowledge of Bhagavad Gita will help you to achieve that very goal of life, and at times it may refine it to a better level or take altogether to a different realm.

No harm in knowing BG, than not knowing at all. May be some subtler aspects of human dealings you may miss, if you dont learn it,, which otherwise would have helped you understanding your own mind and focusing on the vary goal of life.

Please remember as situation changes, so our aspirations and desires. Hence no harm in learning the source & orientation of our mind, who gifted us this beautiful body, life to live in. For these purposes, we run these groups, while carrying out our normal routines of life.

We promise if in case you rejoin the group, these mails will never disturb you. Length of mails will be small, variety of mails will be sent. Above of all, prayers for your success and well being will always be there for you, even otherwise also.

We wish, you will join us back, brother, we need your support to awaken each other and making us become aware of more deeper reason to live        ............need your help.

Yours

Hare Krishna Raman Uncle and Ashish !

Your loving support is like pillar to these yahoo groups, and moderators here are pledged to run these groups till their last breath and till the time Lord Krishna desires to run them through us. We have a single desire to spread Krishna Prem (love of Krishna) to all, at all times, to every one.

And Ashish actually, i was referring to some other group member. You are very much an integral part of these groups and will always remain that way. That day is not closer, when Lord will empower you & other group members to light others heart and mind with knowledge of true love and care and be an inspiration to others.

World is ever changing and goodness in this world will prevail finally, and intellectuals like us are going to change the look of this world by being the change. We just have to be the instruments in the hands of the Lord.

Let us spread our inner happiness and affectionate nature among all the people we meet and interact in our lives and make this world a sweet place to live in. Let us bring back the smile in each and ever one's face in this ever hectic and stressful world, let that person may be from any country, cast, religion and color, it doesn't matter.

Please welcome our new member Vishwanath in our yahoo groups.

Hare Krishna Friends,

2012 and Beyond: A New Species of  Humanity by Stephen Knapp

When it comes to the consideration of the year 2012, and the special date of December 21, it all evolves around the Mayan calendar. People everywhere are focused on this date to some degree or another. Some people feel we are going to  enter a new age, a new awareness, or maybe the earth as we know it will come to  an end.

However, in February of 2006 at a conference in Jaipur, India,  called aœ Spirituality Beyond Religion in which participants from over 30 of the world's older indigenous cultures gathered to share, learn, study, and pray together. That is where I met Vocatelo Tyu, a Mayan elder from Guatamala who had a few things to tell all of us about the prophecies connected with the Mayan  calendar and the year 2012.

First he explained that the ending of the Mayan calendar in 2012 is no different than if someone simply did not make a new calendar after the date of December 31 of any given year. It does not mean that the world is going to end,  as some people seem to propose, but that it was merely the end of that cycle,  which was not continued in another calendar.
He explained that the world would  go on, and not to worry. However, he was a little upset that when the Western  researchers found the calendar, they did not confer with the Mayan elders at the  time. Because of that, there was a time discrepancy between the Mayan calendar  and the western time calculations. This meant that the date of December  21, 2012  may not be accurate, and may be off by several years. This means that the ending  of the Mayan cycle could very well be in some other year, possibly 2015 or even  2020. But now the focus is on the year 2012.

He specifically explained that even though some people are depending on the idea that the world may end in 2012, he hoped that people would not be too upset if the year 2012 passes and nothing  happens. After I heard what he had to say, I thought it was quite profound to understand this directly from a Mayan elder. Therefore, the world will go on
and we need to continue with our plans and development, especially our spiritual  development. And for those who are putting so much emphasis on 2012 as the time  for a grand awakening or the entrance into some new cycle, we still must decide  where we go from here? Naturally, if everyone is intent on the meaning and  purpose of 2012, it can certainly help the planetary awakening if people try to  increase their awareness, and their
focus on cultural or spiritual unity. Thus,  in some ways, such intent can create a type of self-fulfilling prophecy, or at  least an upliftment of social harmony and cooperation. There can be nothing bad  about that.

And if this is what we get out of 2012, this would certainly be a  positive benefit. But what happens beyond that? The fact is, whether we give credit to anything connected with 2012 or not, it is still up to humanity to bring about a new era, or what could be called a new species of humanity. This new species will not be  based on physical changes but on the development of a new spiritual  consciousness, and the goal of working toward the perfection of human life both  materially and spiritually. This new species of humanity are those who are not  afraid to investigate higher dimensions of reality, new areas of spiritual
experiences that are beyond the limitations of conventional and fear-based religions [those that urge the obedience to their principles based on the wrath  of God.

This awakening is happening now and growing all the time. However, this has always been the Vedic process for thousands of years. So, in some ways, the new species is but a reawakening of  the spiritual consciousness that was prominent in the early ages such as in  Satya-yuga, or what is still found in the enlightened sages of today. Yet, this consciousness, when compared with the general materialistic views and motivations found in most people today, is like a new species of humanity.

It is  the rare type of person who is genuinely concerned about the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of all living entities, and  who also has the  higher consciousness to perceive how to do that. Everyone who is concerned about themselves and the welfare of the planet should be eager to be a part of this new species of humanity, this higher
consciousness, and help in this process of  spiritual change and improvement. For any real solutions to our problems or  social issues must be based on a spiritual foundation. With the right consciousness we can, indeed, make proper  use of things to live comfortably without enmity between each other and nature.  And if a new species of such like-minded
people act together in this way, it  will have extremely powerful effects on this planet. If, however, humankind  insists on seeing each other on the basis of bodily and cultural differences,  then their vision is no better than that of those cats and dogs who howl, bark, chase, and fight with one another. What's the difference?

There is no excuse for  humankind to remain on such a base level when they have the higher mental and  intellectual faculties that they do, as long as they use them. They
must rise  above the animalistic platform by their spiritual progress. Only through this  means will humankind reach a level of evolutionary development in which they can  begin to see beyond bodily and cultural distinctions and work together in  spiritual harmony with themselves, nature, and the Supreme Will.

It is obvious to many that the forces of darkness are  getting stronger as the years go by, as the Age of Kali advances. Moral  standards decrease while crime increases. Similarly, the forces of light are  also getting stronger, and new levels of spiritual knowledge are coming into  this earthly plane, the likes of which we have not understood for thousands of
years. The characteristics between the forces of light and darkness are also becoming more distinct. Therefore, the people of this earth will participate in  this polarization and will be required to decide with which force they will participate: The spiritual and progressive level, or the descending and materialistic one.

As this polarization increases, the future of the world  becomes twofold: One aspect will be the obvious physical, climatic, geographic,  and economic changes. The other will be the more spiritual changes. The  physical, social, and geographic changes will not be viewed or experienced as so drastic by those who flow into the higher dimension, while planet earth will display a more difficult life for those who remain absorbed in the lower materialistic and fearful level of consciousness. The earth will accommodate both levels of dimension, but the views of existence on earth will be very different from each level. But which level we choose to enter depends on us. There will, indeed, be a higher and progressive energy  shift, as predicted by the Vedic scripture, and other traditions, and it is  already in progress. Remember, consciousness is not merely a state of mind but  also a vibrational level. The higher the consciousness, the higher the frequency or vibratory level of energy in which that person perceives, understands, lives, and sends out to others.

This is the opportunity that this Golden Age within Kali-yuga provides for us, to whatever degree we develop it. Adjusting the level  of our consciousness is also the way we can change the course of our future. We can decide for ourselves what level of consciousness  we want to develop and in which we want to exist. The higher the social  consciousness is, the less severe the changes will be in society and throughout  the planet, and the more harmonious things will be globally. In other words,  there would be less need of severe earth changes for the cleansing of the  planet. Remember, the world only reflects the mass consciousness of the inhabitants. When the inhabitants work in harmony with nature, what is the need  for nature to cause repercussions to our actions? When nature and people are  balanced, the world will give what we need. Thus, we can create a very bright  and positive future for ourselves and this world simply by elevating our consciousness. What are we waiting for?
What this means is that we are at a decisive point. There  will be a transformed world. It can be attained by force through what may seem  like apocalyptic changes, or through cooperation by a planetary awakening. Whether the whole population awakens is not necessary. Only a certain percentage  need be enlightened in this way because the power of light will far exceed and overpower the force of darkness or materialism, at least
enough to keep the positive changes available for those who wish to participate in them.  Again, which way we choose to go is up to us. No prophecy or prediction is written in  stone. Whatever change comes is because of the change of consciousness in the  general masses.

So, let us develop our spiritual consciousness and not waste  this opportunity.

Hare Krishna Friends,

New Year always brings a chance to start a fresh start of life, on a brighter and upbeat note. For this we often make resolutions, and this year my resolution is not to be angry on small and even some times on big matters too. Let me see how much i would be able to follow, though generally my close friends & associates have observed that i do not get angry soon but even if it is there to some extent i am going to improve further on it.

And if any group member want to share his/her resolution, please write it to me and i will publish it in the group.

I support my resolution after reading this allegorical story: Anger is dangerous

============================================================================
"Once a saint asked his disciples, 'Why do we shout in anger? Why do people shout at each other when they are upset?

Disciples thought for a while, one of them said, 'Because we lose our calm, we shout for that.'

'But, why to shout when the other person is just next to you?' asked the saint.'Isn't it possible to speak to him or her with a soft voice? Why do you shout at a person when you're angry?'

Disciples gave some other answers but none satisfied the saint.

Finally he explained, 'When two people are angry at each other, their hearts DISTANCE a lot. To cover that distance they must shout to be able to hear each other. The angrier they are, the stronger they will have to shout to hear each other through that great distance.'

Then the saint asked, 'What happens when two people love each other ? They don't shout at each other but talk softly, why? Because their hearts are very close. The distance between them is very small...'

The saint continued, 'When they love each other even more, what happens?
They do not speak, only whisper and they get even closer to each other in their love. Finally they even need not whisper, they only look at each other and that's all. That is how close two people are when they love each other.'

When you argue do not let your hearts get distant, do not say words that distance each other more, else there will come a day when the distance is so great that you will not find the path to return."

Anger endangers the physical, mental and spiritual well-being of ourselves as well as people around us. The only way to overcome anger is by getting rid of the controlling propensity and by whole-heartedly accepting the truth that Krishna is the supreme controller. We pray that we never fall a prey to anger, but have friendly relationship with all living entities and are able to see every one as part and parcel of Supreme Lord.

Hare Krishna Friends,

When one's mind is in full Krsna consciousness and one fully engages in rendering devotional service to the Lord, he becomes just like an ocean unagitated by waves.

This very example is also cited in Bhagavad-Gita, one should become like the ocean.

The ocean is filled by many thousands of rivers, and millions of tons of its water evaporates into clouds, yet the ocean is the same unagitated ocean. The laws of nature may work, but if one is fixed in devotional service at the lotus feet of the Lord, he is not agitated, for he is introspective.

He does not look outside to material nature, but he looks in to the spiritual nature of his existence; with a sober mind, he simply engages in the service of the Lord. Thus he realizes his own self without false identification with matter and without affection for material possessions.

Such a great devotee is never in trouble with others because he sees everyone from the platform of spiritual understanding; he sees himself and others in the right perspective.

Hare Krishna Friends,

We wish all the members and their families, a very Krishna Conscious Maha Shivaratri.

http://www.sriradharaman.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/shiv3_full.jpg

Today all over the world, people celebrate the appearance of the topmost Vaishnava, Lord Shiva. Shiva (Lord Shiva) and ratri (night), so Shivaratri means the night of Lord Shiva. Every lunar month on the 13th or 14th day of the dark half of the moon phase there is a Shivaratri but in the Vedic month of Phalgun (February-March) there is a Maha Shivaratri. This year it falls on the 16th or 17th February depending where you are on the planet. The ceremony takes place mainly at night. This festival observed in the honour of Lord Shiva, who was married to Parvati (Mother Durga/Mother Gauri) on this day.

Brahma Samhita chapter 5 TEXT 45 (Lord Brahma Sings)

                                     ksiram yatha dadhi vikara-visesa-yogat
sanjayate na hi tatah prthag asti hetoh
yah sambhutam api tatha samupaiti karyad
                                   govindam adi-purusam tam aham bhajami

                                                    TRANSLATION

Just as milk is transformed into curd by the action of acids, but yet the effect curd is neither same as, nor different from, its cause, viz., milk, so I adore the primeval Lord Govinda of whom the state of Sambhu is a transformation for the performance of the work of destruction.

                                                         PURPORT

(The real nature of Sambhu, the presiding deity of Mahesa-dhama, is described.) Sambhu is not a second Godhead other than Krsna. Those, who entertain such discriminating sentiment, commit a great offense against the Supreme Lord. The supremacy of Sambhu is subservient to that of Govinda; hence they are not really different from each other. The nondistinction is established by the fact that just as milk treated with acid turns into curd so Godhead becomes a subservient when He Himself attains a distinct personality by the addition of a particular element of adulteration. This personality has no independent initiative. The said adulterating principle is constituted of a combination of the stupefying quality of the deluding energy, the quality of nonplenitude of the marginal potency and a slight degree of the ecstatic-cum-cognitive principle of the plenary spiritual potency. This specifically adulterated reflection of the principle of the subjective portion of the Divinity is Sadasiva, in the form of the effulgent masculine-symbol-god Sambhu from whom Rudradeva is manifested. In the work of mundane creation as the material cause, in the work of preservation by the destruction of sundry asuras and in the work of destruction to conduct the whole operation, Govinda manifests Himself as guna-avatara in the form of Sambhu who is the separated portion of Govinda imbued with the principle of His subjective plenary portion. The personality of the destructive principle in the form of time has been identified with that of Sambhu by scriptural evidences that have been adduced in the commentary. The purport of the Bhagavata slokas, viz., vaisnavanam yatha sambhuh, etc., is that Sambhu, in pursuance of the will of Govinda, works in union with his consort Durgadevi by his own time energy. He teaches pious duties (dharma) as stepping-stones to the attainment of spiritual service in the various tantra-sastras, etc., suitable for jivas in different grades of the conditional existence. In obedience to the will of Govinda, Sambhu maintains and fosters the religion of pure devotion by preaching the cult of illusionism (Mayavada) and the speculative agama-sastras. The fifty attributes of individual souls are manifest in a far vaster measure in Sambhu and five additional attributes not attainable by jivas are also partly found in him. So Sambhu cannot be called a jiva. He is the lord of jiva but yet partakes of the nature of a separated portion of Govinda.

(Sri Brahma Samhita, translation by Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur Prabhupad.)

Hare Krishna Friends,

There once was a king who offered a prize to the artist who would paint the best picture of peace. Many artists tried. The king looked at all the pictures. But there were only two he really liked, and he had to choose between them.

One picture was of a calm lake. The lake was a perfect mirror for peacefully towering mountains all around it. Overhead was a blue sky with fluffy white clouds. All who saw this picture thought that it was a perfect picture of peace.

The other picture had mountains, too. But these were rugged and bare.  Above was an angry sky, from which rain fell and in which lightning played. Down the side of the mountain tumbled a foaming waterfall. This did not look peaceful at all. But when the king looked closely, he saw behind the waterfall a tiny bush growing in a crack in the rock. In the bush a mother bird had built her nest. There, in the midst of the rush of angry water, sat the mother bird on the nest - in perfect peace.

Which picture do you think won the prize? The king chose the second picture.
Do you know why?

"Because," explained the king, "peace does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work. Peace means to be in the midst of all those things and still be calm in your heart. That is the real meaning of peace."

Lord Krishna says in the Bhagavad-gita (5.10):

One who is engaged in Krishna consciousness is then beyond contamination by sinful reactions, exactly as the lotus leaf, though remaining in the water, is not wet.

Hare Krishna Friends,

We wish all the group members a very Happy Gaura Purnima (means "Golden Full Moon") Festival. It is a Gaudiya Vaishanva festival that celebrates the divine appearance of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu in Navadwipa, India.

mahaprabhu3

Krishna Comes as Sri Chaitanya

In a special appearance, Krishna personally came in A.D. 1486 as Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and acted as His own devotee. Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is Krishna Himself, saturated with the love for God. As the emblem of the perfect devotee of Krishna, He displayed feelings of the highest spiritual ecstasy.

Krishna taught Bhagavad-gita to liberate all souls, and He returned as Sri Chaitanya to show us how to live by the Gita’s teachings.
Because spiritual realization is difficult in the present age, Krishna as Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is especially liberal. He has made pure love of God attainable by the easy process of chanting His sacred names, as in the maha-mantra: Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare/ Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare.

“In this way, assuming the sentiment of a devotee, He taught devotional service while practicing it Himself.” —Chaitanya-Charitamrita, Adi 4.41

Mahaprabhu’s Life and Mission

Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, also known as Lord Chaitanya, appeared in West Bengal, India, and showed us how to awaken our love for Krishna while living in this world.

He spent His first twenty-four years spreading the teachings of the Srimad-Bhagavatam and promoting the spiritual practice of chanting Krishna’s holy names. Extremely influential, He won the hearts and minds of the greatest scholars of His day.

Sri Chaitanya’s last twenty-four years, spent in the holy city of Jagannatha Puri, were devoted to tasting the ecstasy of pure love for Krishna.

The Best Kept Secret

In the late 15th century, the European kings sent their boldest explorers in search of new routes to treasure-filled India. Many returned home on ships laden with silks and spices. But they missed the real treasure of India just then being profusely distributed by the great avatar Sri Krishna Chaitanya.

Lord Chaitanya pioneered a great social and spiritual movement that continues to spread its profound influence worldwide. He transformed India in four respects: philosophically, by defeating the greatest philosophers of his day; socially, by opposing the rigid caste system; politically, by organizing India’s first civil disobedience movement against repressive government; and, most important, spiritually, by teaching and demonstrating the science of love of God, bhakti-yoga.

Hare Krishna Friends,

===========================================================
The Power Of Words Over Water
Can water be affected by our words? Dr. Masaru Emoto, a Japanese scientist, believes so. And he has proof.

Dr. Emoto took water droplets, exposed them to various words, music, and environments, and froze them for three hours. He then examined the crystal formations under a dark field microscope. And he took photographs.
The results were totally mind-blowing.

Here’s a photo of ordinary water without any prayer spoken over it. The molecular structure is in disarray.

The photo below is water after the prayer was said. It’s simply breathtaking. (I now have a great respect for praying before meals! More on this later.)

Dr. Emoto also exposed water to Heavy Metal music. Here’s how it looks like. Looks sad if you ask me.

Here’s water exposed to classical music and folk dance music.. Looks much better, right?
ATT630524.jpg
Next, Dr. Emoto stuck a piece of paper with these words: “You make me sick. I will kill you.” Here’s how the frozen water droplets looks like under the microscope…

Below is how water looked like with the words “Love” over it. The difference is amazing.

This is Polluted water

This is water from Lourdes, France. Utterly beautiful, right?

Wait A Minute—
Aren’t You Made Up Of Water?
Yes! 72% of your body is made up of water.
Imagine how your words affect your own body.

When you say, “I’m a failure,” or “I’m hopeless,” or “I won’t get well,” imagine how these words weaken your health.

Make a choice to say the best words out there. Say often, “I’m wonderful,”
“I’m beautiful,”   “I’m God’s child,” and “God has a great plan for my life!”

It’s not only water.
Dr. Emoto also experimented with cooked rice.

He placed one cup of cooked rice in two airtight jars. On one jar, he wrote, “I love you,” and on the other, “You fool.” Everyday for 30 days, Dr. Emoto would say these words to each jar of rice.

After 30 days, the “I love you” rice was still white. But the “You fool” rice was so rotten, it was black. How can you explain this?

Just as a side note: When I was a child, my mother taught me to pray before meals. Now I realize it wasn’t just a nice thing to do. When I pray over my meal, I know a material transformation takes place in the molecular level of the food that I pray for. I say, “Be blessed,” to the water and food on the table—and I expect it to be blessed.
I encourage you to speak words of truth.

Dethrone the lies in your mind.

Say, “I’m beautiful.” Say, “I’m a wonderful person.” Say, “I have a great future.” Say, “I’m anointed. I’m strong. I’m blessed.”

Use your words to create your desired reality.

May your dreams come true!

Hare krishna Friends,

Today we are starting Introduction to Bhagavad Gita:

The Bhagavad-gita is universally renowned as the jewel of India's spiritual wisdom. Spoken by Lord Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead to His intimate disciple Arjuna, the Gita's seven hundred concise verses provide a definitive guide to the science of self realization. No other philosophical or religious work reveals, in such a lucid and profound way, the nature of consciousness, the self, the universe and the Supreme.

Hare Krishna Friends,

His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada is uniquely qualified to present this English translation and commentary on Bhagavad-Gita. He is the world's foremost Vedic scholar and teacher, and he is also the current representative of an unbroken chain of fully self-realized spiritual masters begining with Lord Krishna Himself.

Thus, unlike other editions of the Bhagavad Gita, this one is presented as it is without the slightest taint of adulteration or personal motivation. This edition is certain to stimulate and enlighten with its ancient yet thoroughly timely message.

The speaker of Bhagavad-gita is Lord Sri Krsna. He is mentioned on every page of Bhagavad-gita as the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Bhagavan.

Of course the word bhagavan sometimes refers to any powerful person or any powerful demigod, and certainly here bhagavan designates Lord Sri Krsna as a great personality, but at the same time we should know that Lord Sri Krsna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead, as is confirmed by all great acaryas (spiritual masters) like Sankaracarya, Ramanujacarya, Madhvacarya, Nimbarka Svami, Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu and many other authorities of Vedic knowledge in India.

The Lord Himself also establishes Himself as the Supreme Personality of Godhead in the Bhagavad-gita, and He is accepted as such in the Brahma-samhita and all the Puranas, especially the Srimad-Bhagavatam, known as the Bhagavata Purana (krsnas tu bhagavan svayam).

Therefore we should take Bhagavad-gita as it is directed by the Personality of Godhead Himself.

Hare Krishna Friends,

People in general, especially in this Age of Kali, are enamored by the external energy of Krsna, and they wrongly think that by advancement of material comforts every man will be happy. They have no knowledge that the material or external nature is very strong, for everyone is strongly bound by the stringent laws of material nature. A living entity is happily the part and parcel of the Lord, and thus his natural function is to render immediate service to the Lord. By the spell of illusion one tries to be happy by serving his personal sense gratification in different forms which will never make him happy. Instead of satisfying his own personal material senses, he has to satisfy the senses of the Lord. That is the highest perfection of life. The Lord wants this, and He demands it. One has to understand this central point of Bhagavad-gita. Our Krsna consciousness movement is teaching the whole world this central point, and because we are not polluting the theme of Bhagavad Gita As It Is, anyone seriously interested in deriving benefit by studying the Bhagavad Gita must take help from the Krsna consciousness movement for practical understanding of Bhagavad-gita under the direct guidance of the Lord. We hope, therefore, that people will derive the greatest benefit by studying Bhagavad Gita As It Is as we have presented it here, and if even one man becomes a pure devotee of the Lord, we shall consider our attempt a success.

What does Lord Krishna informs Arjuna?

Here the Lord informs Arjuna that this system of yoga, the Bhagavad-gita, was first spoken to the sun-god, and the sun-god explained it to Manu, and Manu explained it to Iksvaku, and in that way, by disciplic succession, one speaker after another, this yoga system has been coming down. But in the course of time it has become lost. Consequently the Lord has to speak it again, this time to Arjuna on the Battlefield of Kuruksetra.

He tells Arjuna that He is relating this supreme secret to him because he is His devotee and His friend.
The purport of this is that Bhagavad-gita is a treatise which is especially meant for the devotee of the Lord.
