To whoever reads this I hope everyone is having a fantastic day, and if not, I will pray for you. First of all Father God, I want to ask for forgiveness of everything I have said and I have thought and I have done, those of omission and those of comission. These are my friends Lord, in whom I care of how their day concludes. However it may be, God fix it. I know You can and I know You will. In Jesus' name Amen.

Hi Everyone,

I'm Michelle, and I reside in Savannah, GA.  I belong to a few groups on Yahoo, and it's always great to meet new people and see/know what's going on in different parts of the world.

Hmmm, a little about myself.  I love to read (fave authors are John Grisham, Stephen King, Joyce Carol Oates, and Ken Follett amongst a few), independent cinema, the Coen Brothers, anything related to aromatherapy and massage therapy, nurturing my herb garden, listening to music (I like way too many genres and groups/musicians to name them all here - but a few are Depeche Mode, Duncan Sheik, Dead Can Dance, Yanni, Foo Fighters, Incubus, Metallica, Linkin Park, Ella Fitzgerald, Herb Alpert, etc etc etc....like I said, too many to name.  Also love writing poetry, trying (very hard) to learn new languages (currently Arabic, and it's kicking my butt in a major way), and travel...amongst other things.

I'm really looking forward to meeting new friends here and, hopefully joining in on some discussions.

Peace...

Hi your the first real person from bf&am to send something. The other emails have been about sex clubs from white females and other such garbage. It's nice to meet a person for once. I'm in MI. I'm not so sure if this group has any real members anymore. I joined a few months ago and haven't seen any activity. I am a female with similar taste in music and books. I live close to the largest area outside of the middle east with Arabic people. I had a friend who was trying to teach me a little a while back. He tought me the bad stuff first. He said it was most useful to know if someone talking about you and what to say back. (Ha Ha really). I am now brushing up on Spanish and Learning Japanese on my own. I'll tackle writting style later. I concentrate on vocal first. It's not as hard as people make out. If you know another language already. You can use some of those principles to help you with a new one. I live in the city. I didn't really know that the Asian Male Black Female couple was so rare. I went out with a guy Chinese/White I meet in University. He however doesn't consider himself Asian though. Ah...

Good Morning L...

You know, I was beginning to wonder.  I signed up for this group so long ago, and never heard anything from a moderator.  I usually get approval to join within minutes to up to a day.  And I was actually going into my groups listing to delete those I haven't heard from.
And wouldn't you know it - I was approved - lol!

Well, I guess time will tell as far as the level of activity in this particular group.  Asian Black Communities is a pretty interactive group, so check it out if you haven't already.  I can't tell you the number of groups I've joined only to cancel out immediately because of the sheer volume of trashy sex mails.  Ugggh!  Disgusting!

Congratulations on learning new languages, too!  I'm trying to be focused, and "immerse" myself in it.  I even go to bed listening to my Arabic cds, hoping some of it will absorb - lol.  It's a bit frustrating.  But little by little, certain words and phrases are sticking.  It amazes me what I do for love - haha!  My honey is Iraqi, and we're working some things out because marriage and family are on the horizon -however close or distant the horizon is.  So, I'm trying not to stress out about that....amongst other things.  But back to the learning part, what's so funny is that I've noticed when listening and repeating the Arabic words, I've found myself incorporating ASL signnage....totally weird.  But on that note, when I was learning ASL, our instructor introduced a "grid" method.  This he said, would help you learn any language.  And it's progressive, so we'll see what happens.  What would really be cool is to have someone here to practice with and grow more proficient.  But like I say, we'll see.

Anyway, it's really nice talking to you.  Hopefully we can get more folks involved.  I'm not much of a talker, and usually I tend to stalk, but I'll do my best to participate more and hopefully, tell more people about the group!

Ciao....

This is really weird. Up until now, there has only been marketing scams and
gibberish. Then all of a sudden there are two women, like myself. Similar
interests and everything. You even write intelligently and capitalize your "I"s!
I'm so excited!

I am currently brushing up on my Espanola and have been diligently studying
Nihongo. I know Hiragana and Katakana, but Kanji has been trouncing my butt with
a vengeance.

Wow!  This is really getting exciting!  How's everyone this morning?  Anything new in the world of Butt-Kicking languages?  lol...

But on a serious note, I too am so happy to interact with other intelligent ones.  Barring a few "sex-monkeys", I've been fortunate.  I'm no Einstein, but I have a sincere love of learning, and of meeting others of a similar mindset.  Iron sharpens iron.

Hope you have a great day!

Hi Krystal...Welcome!  I'm fairly new myself.  There's really not much to it, I think.  Sometimes the moderator will post a topic, and that encourages others to participate.  Depending on which group you're in, it gets kind of lively at times - lol!  That's usually how it works.  I'm kind of a lurker...just scoping out the environment before joining in.  But joining in is a good way to get yourself out and available to others.

So, best wishes and once again, Welcome!

I'm feeling ostracized for my preferences. So what if I prefer anime to reality
TV, hell, any TV for that matter. Yes, I'm a grown woman that watches subtitled
cartoons. I read a lot too, all kinds of things. I like to broaden my mind.
Stretch the old brain pan. Is it a crime? I don't have an interest in popular
culture, almost everything I watch is either subtitled or independent. It's kind
of rough when no can understand or relate to you. Not even my own family. Aah
well. I'll survive as long as I have cute Asian guys to ogle every now and then.

Well, I don't think there's anything wrong with watching anime shows even if
you're an adult. After all, most of them are actually aimed towards mature
audiences and have some themes and scenes that are not suitable for children
(Neon Genesis Evangelion, Ghost in the Shell, and Jigoku Shoujo to name a few).

That's why I prefer calling them "anime" to differentiate them from cartoons.

Those people who ostracize you for watching anime shows are the ones who are
childish, they're judging people without even knowing what they're talking
about.

You should be proud that you have been given a chance to witness, watch and
experience a few of Japan's greatest masterpiece.

To be honest with you, I also like watching anime shows. (GTO and ICHIGO 100%
are only a few from my very long list of favorite series)

Just ignore them and have a nice day! ^_^

Simple minds are laughable. They really don't bother me so much. It's not like
I'm new to this. It just gets lonely at times. The guys that I attract, I have
absolutely nothing in common with. And the dudes that spark my interest would
never, for one reason or another, give me the time of day. *sigh* Oh well,
looking and not touching has sufficed thus far.

Hey!  I'm not here to critisize or anything.  America is, well the world is in termoil right

When God is about to reposition your life know that the devil will began to attack!
Read to the bottom - watch the water

If I don't get this back, I will know you really didn't read it.  I got this from someone and thought the last part was really a good thought.

Too bad that the person who sent it to me did not know 10 people who would admit to knowing the Lord.

Do You Love Him?

This is a simple test:

IF YOU LOVE JESUS, SEND THIS TO AT LEAST 10 PEOPLE, INCLUDING THE PERSON WHO SENT IT TO YOU!

The Poem

I knelt to pray but not for long,

I had too much to do.
I had to hurry and get to work

For bills would soon be due.
So I knelt and said a hurried prayer,

And jumped up off my knees.
My Christian duty was now done

My soul could rest at ease.....

All day long I had no time

To spread a word of cheer
No time to speak of Christ to friends,

They'd laugh at me I'd fear..
No time, no time, too much to do,

That was my constant cry,
No time to give to souls in need
But at last the time, the time to die

I went before the Lord,

I came, I stood with downcast eyes.
 For in his hands God! Held a book;

It was the book of life.
God looked into his book and said

"Your name I cannot find
I once was going to write it down....
 But never found the time"

Now do you have the time to pass it on?

If you look at what you do not have in life, you don't have anything,
If you look at what you have in life, you have everything.

 Thomas Kinkade Paintings

(hope the water is moving!!)

Hope the water flows when you get the picture

READ THE FIRST LINE CAREFULLY...

If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it

 Happy moments, praise God

Difficult moments, seek God

Quiet moments, worship God

Painful moments, trust God
 Every moment, thank God

This is a Thomas Kinkade painting. It's rumored to carry a miracle!  The water is supposed to be running, so if it's not moving then the picture didn't come through entirely.

They say if you pass this on, you will receive a miracle.
