He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will
find it. {Matthew 10;39}
Those who are only seeking , getting and obtaining their own life and wellbeing
will lose it .Those who recognize only themselves and give only thought about
themselves will eventually lose their life .
A preoccupation with self and the love of self is the religion of the masses on
the broad road to destruction . The gates of Hell are wide open for the lover of
self and the proud of heart .
There is a generation that curses its father,
And does not bless its mother. There is a generation that is pure in its own
eyes,
Yet is not washed from its filthiness. {They feel pure, but they are filthy and
unwashed}. There is a generation-- oh, how lofty are their eyes! And their
eyelids are lifted up.{ They are proud beyond description and disdainful.} There
is a generation whose teeth are like swords, And whose fangs are like knives, To
devour the poor from off the earth,
And the needy from among men.{They devour the poor with teeth as sharp as swords
or knives. They destroy the needy from the face of the earth.}..{ Proverbs
30;11-14}
 
I believe this is that generation and the last generation of men before the Lord
returns.
The world has chosen to reject the love of God and the masses have chosen their
own religion that fits their own desires and fancies .In their proud hearts they
believe they are “ok” and have no need of Jesus Christ .They have chosen the
broad way that leads to destruction and The Devil has bewitched them ,deceived
them and convinced them to love themselves .To worship themselves as he did in
the beginning .
 
The Devil , Satan , Lucifer, son of the morning! Said ; I will ascend above the
heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.{ Isaiah 14;14}
In the Gospel of John 12;25  it says ; He who loves his life will lose it, and
he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. Matthew says
he who finds his life , but here we see the love of self which results in
seeking one’s own life .
And the Gospel of Mark 8; 35 ,is the conclusion of this hopeless pursuit ; For
whoever desires to save his life will lose it, .Mark uses the word “ To save his
life “.A life spent on seeking to save itself and striving to exalt itself . A
desire only for yourself .Every motive ,every relationship ,every plan ,every
action designed and manipulated to advance and please yourself .A wasted life
spent drowning in your own reflection , leading you to the gates of Hell .If you
are saving yourself then Jesus can’t save you .
but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel's will save it.{v.35}
 
Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and
there are few who find it.{ Matthew 7;14}
Few seek the way which leads to life , “ The few who seek it barely find it “
because difficult is the way and to die to yourself , is the way of the cross.
Jesus said ; "Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take
up his cross, and follow Me.{Mark 8;34} Death to yourself is what is required to
follow Jesus but in an age of self worship and the desire to save oneself , “How
few will ever find it ? “
 
For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own
soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For whoever is ashamed
of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of
Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy
angels."..{ Mark 8;36-38}
