Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together,
and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you
use, it will be measured back to you."Luke 6;38
 
If you give, you will receive.Whatever measure you use in giving-large or
small-it will be used to measure what is given back to you
 
Many people only give expecting a reward or compensation for whatever they have
given .They keep records of what they have given unto others .They are more
concerned about what they will receive or can get back . Their motive for giving
is to receive something back .These people are giving only to receive or to be
rewarded or to be compensated or to be recognized and applauded .They want
everyone to know what they have done aswell so that they may receive some kind
of recognition .Rarely will they give because of a great need .
 
The man or woman of God on the otherhand gives and expects nothing in return .He
or she is never expecting anything back from anyone or expects any reward .There
only concern is ; has there act of giving helped another person .There whole
life is marked by giving of their resources ,their wealth ,their time ,their
love ,and their friendship.They are always looking for needs to be met and are
not concerned about rewards or compensation or recognition .
 
Much of their giving is done in secret and helping those in need .Because their
reward is seeing the relieve in another person's situation or problems by
meeting their needs and not in receiving recognition .
 
Again the other person is selfish and more concerend about what they can get and
how other people perceive them .They desire glory and recognition for all their
acts of giving and are quik to tell others about it , expecting a reward .They
desire to keep it all and seek only more when they give .They are never happy
.They are always concerned if they have enough for themselves ,and by the way
they never have enough .Their motives are wrong and therefore are never
satisfied .
 
The man or woman of God seeks the benefit and the welfare of others .They are
selfless and give and give as God gives .God gave his ultimate gift " Jesus
Christ " His son and gives and gives .True giving is selfless and seeks only to
make another person happy .It is always seeking the best interest and the
welfare of others .Their happiness brings them happiness :"That is their reward
" Their motives are right and know that God will reward them in this life or in
eternity but that is not their motive .Their delight is to see the the joy and
the relieve in another person .They know the scriptures that speak clearly about
giving ;
 
Take care! Don't do your good deeds publicly, to be admired, because then you
will lose the reward from your Father in heaven.When you give a gift to someone
in need, don't shout about it as the hypocrites do--blowing trumpets in the
synagogues and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! I assure you,
they have received all the reward they will ever get.But when you give to
someone, don't tell your left hand what your right hand is doing.
Give your gifts in secret, and your Father, who knows all secrets, will reward
you.

Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house,
And try Me now in this," Says the LORD of hosts, "If I will not open for you the
windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room
enough to receive it.
{ Malachi 3;10 }
But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows
bountifully will also reap bountifully.
So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of
necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver..{ 2 Corinthians 9;6-7}
 
I have experienced in my own life that you cannot ,out give God . God is so
generous and expects us to be the same way .Blessed are those who are generous
,because they feed the poor { Proverbs 22;9 }
It is possible to give freely and become more wealthy, but those who are stingy
will lose everything.The generous prosper and are satisfied; those who refresh
others will themselves be refreshed.{ Proverbs 11;24-25  nlt }
