My money has been restored, and there it is, in my sack!" Then their hearts
failed them and they were afraid, saying to one another, "What is this that God
has done to us?" { Genesis 42;28 }

Here we see God’s love ,grace and mercy in action .The brothers of Joseph
deserved to be put in prison .They deserved their money to be taken from them
.They deserved to be recompensed for their evil .But God instead blesses them
,by giving them what they do not deserve .Not because they were good but because
God is good .Their money has been restored and they are given sacks with grain
for free and provisions for the journey .Thus he did for them ,Joseph a type of
Jesus Christ {Genesis 42;25}

We must remember we do not base our relationship with God on this philosophy or
human thinking of earning and deserving .When we obey God and do good some may
think they are earning favor with God and deserve something from God ,and when
they are failing or doing not so good they believe they do not deserve good from
God .This my friends is a wrong concept of the way God deals with His children .
God’s way is all of grace ,and we get what we do not deserve .He blesses his
children even in their failures ,and sees the heart and the desire to do what is
right .
He also knows that we are weak and the spirit is indeed willing but the flesh is
weak .
{ Matthew 26;41 }But some do not understand that the flesh profits nothing and
is weak to fulfill the will of the Lord .We must confess that we are weak , we
are not able but God is .

These brothers said ; We are truly guilty concerning our brother ,..therefore
this distress has come upon us ….therefore his blood is now required of us .{
Genesis 42 21-22 }

They acknowledged their sin ,and that’s all God requires of each one of us
.God knows us better than we know ourselves ,that we are sinners and he only
seeks the heart of repentance and for you to look to Jesus ,who seeks to restore
, bless and provide . He knows we are guilty but instead shows us mercy .God
will do it all and has done it all .
Often God has blessed me when I do not deserve it nor have done anything to earn
it .It was his goodness that made me stand in awe ! I now understand that God
‘ways are not our ways
..For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," says the
LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than
your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.{ Isaiah 55;8-9 }

We should not and cannot bring God down to our level of thinking .He acts
completely apart from our ways and is good all the time , even when we think we
deserve better .Remember our relationship with God is not based on earning and
deserving .It’s all of Grace ! Through faith in Jesus Christ ,and he often
gives us what we do not deserve .
Then their hearts failed them or sank within them and they were afraid ,saying
to one another ; “What is this that God has done to us ?”{ Genesis 42 ;28 }
His goodness will pierce your own heart also as you acknowledge that you are not
so good but God is always good , not because you deserve it but because ; The
Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if
children, then heirs--heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ..{ Romans 8;16-17
}having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according
to the good pleasure of His will,..{ Ephesians 1;5 } We are his children and
heirs of the universe and the earth together with Jesus Christ .We are in His
love forever and ..ever
My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to
snatch them out of My Father's hand.{ John 10;29 }

No one is able to separate us from His love , because we have been adopted into
his family and belong to him .So do not base your relationship with God on what
you may think you deserve or try to earn his favor . It’s not based on what
you can do but what he has done at the cross! Surprisingly each man’s bundle
of money was in his sack ,{ Genesis 42;35 }

Rest in His love ! And believe ! And let him be your all in all ! And receive
