Carolina Shag group is created to promote Carolina Shag dance events and shag lessons in the greater triangle area. The purpose of the shag club is to perpetuate and to preserve the shag dance and beach music and the atmosphere surrounding the dance; and to create and maintain an environment conducive to the dance and it's music. This group hopes to encourage people to learn this dance and enjoy being part of a shag club. We hope that youth and adults will learn this dance and become part of its legacy.
