Hello and Welcome.

Thank you for visiting the Case-Colt-Ingersoll Garden Tractor group here on Yahoo.

This group is for anyone interested in the Colt, Case, and Ingersoll garden tractors.

AFTER YOU JOIN THIS GROUP YOU WILL RECEIVE A COPY OF ALL MESSAGES AS EMAIL FROM THE GROUP. YOU CAN CHANGE THIS SO THAT YOU DO NOT RECEIVE ALL OF THOSE EMAILS AND INSTEAD ONLY LOOK AT MESSAGES HERE IN THE GROUP PAGES. OR YOU CAN GET THE DAILY DIGEST OF THE MESSAGES. To do that just go to the EDIT MEMBERSHIP link. This is in small print right above the bright orange bar at the top of this page. Look for the "Step 2. Message Delivery" section and move the dot from the "Individual Email" option to one of the other 3 choices that you will see there, as you see fit. You can change those settings yourself any time you want to.

We have a good bunch of members. You will usually find someone here that can answer any question that you may have about these unique tractors.

THIS HAS MEMBERS ARTICLES IN IT ANSWERING, IN DETAIL, MANY OF THE QUESTIONS MOST OFTEN ASKED ABOUT THESE TRACTORS.

I had same problem on my 224. Simple short term fix was to take a 2-inch long, 1-inch wide piece of heavy gauge tin, bend into an "L" shape and jam in slot

Mike, usually you can take the throttle control out and tighten the rivet/and or replace the fiber friction washers. Some folks have put some slight "bends"

The lever is wearing out. You can remove it, "peen" the area that holds the pieces together and hope to get a few more years. Or, since you will have to pull
