Here are our basic ground rules for debate:
1) Posts must be on topic, and the topic for discussion is the Catholic Church. Off topic posts may be removed. This includes most advertisements for products, unrelated websites, or services.

2) Offensive language and personal attacks are not allowed. Offensive or insulting posts may be deleted, and members who continue to make personal attacks or use offensive language may be banned.

3) Proselytism for other religious groups is not allowed. You may debate specific practices or doctrines of Catholicism for the purpose of learning about Catholicism, and you may explain your own beliefs to aid discussion, but we do not allow members to come here simply to "convert" Catholics to other belief systems.

4) We do not consider it "fair" to publicly post something another member has said to you privately or in another forum. Conversations held privately between members through IM or email should stay private. Conversations which took place in outside forums or discussion groups should stay outside.

5) Please refrain from "clogging" or dominating the message board with your messages. Give others the time and space to respond.

New members should be aware that their posts may be moderated for a time.
