The Unification Movement, an umbrella term for the many organizations + projects founded by the Rev. Dr. + Mrs. Sun Myung Mon, known more personally as Father + Mother Moon, and the True Parents, celebrated the first week of the New Year of 2011, by the Chinese Lunar calendar, (Feb. 3 - 8, according to the Western, Gegorian, solar calendar) with a "Cheon Bok" Festival: Cheon Bok is Korean for Heart of Heaven.

UM Nederland also celebrated this festival, and reports + photos are included within.

Introducing the festival to Amsterdam Unification Church members, Pres. Hans Campman spoke at the Jan. 30th. Sunday Service on the theme "De Verheffing en Vereniging van Godsdiensten" - The Elevation(Fulfillment?) and Unification of Religions. Further:

Wednesday: evening Divine Principle lecture, followed by refresments and Midnight Prayer + Pledge to greet God on Tue God's Day + the New Year.

Thursday: True God's Day dinner, and, as part of the UN World Faith Harmony Week, Merel Remmerswaal of the Scientolgy Church spoke about the need for interreligious cooperation and invited all to one such event in her church.
Friday: astronomer Jean-Pierre Verstraeten addressed the question of Evolution or Design.
Saturday: outreach programme, inviting guests to the lecture next Wednesday.
Sunday: morning service, sermon on the life of Abraham.
Monday: Aikido teacher David Misumi gave a participatory talk on Breathing.
Tuesday: dinner for UPF Nederland Ambassadors for Peace to celebrate the birthday of Dr Rev. Sun Myung Moon.
Wednesday: lecture, �De twee Dimensies van het Leven en hun Interactie� - The two Dimensions of Life and their Interaction.
