But here's some details about the 2002 NAFCSC
convention in Las Vegas. <br><br>Once again its at the New
Frontier hotel. It officialy runs from Sunday June 9th to
Saturday June 15th. Dinner/Dance is going to be 45$ (well
worth it) a person and will be held on Friday the 14th.
The A.G.M. is scheduled for Saturday morning at 10am.
There is also a great sing song and pool party on
Thursday night. Hell, there's a sing song every night, but
this one is official ;) I seem to have lost the
contact info for the hotel, but I know you can find it
online. All I can say is last year was one hell of a time
and this year will probably be even bigger. If your
thinking how fun can this be, all I can say is you will be
blown away. Plus it'd be nice to finally meet up with
some of you. So if your planning on going, book your
room now and get the special rate for the convention
before those rooms are gone. I'm sure your CSC's
officials have a lot more info if you want it, or just log
onto the NAFCSC web page. <br>Stephen
Cool, thanks a bunch Stephen!! I would LOVE to go, hopefully I will and
hopefully some of you will too! : )<br><br>Hope you all had a great
weekend!<br><br>al
I'd like to make it this year as well. They
handed out all the info at our CSC last week, so I have
all the information I need. What's my excuse NOT to
go?!?!<br>The long weekend up here in Canada was very good
(from what I can remember).
Ayr United manager Gordon Dalziel has told
defender Gary Teale he will not<br>stop him moving to
Celtic.<br><br>Parkhead boss Martin O'Neill is is ready to table a bid
for the Scotland<br>Under-21
international.<br><br>The Irishman faces competition for the 23-year-old
with Hearts, but his<br>current club are resigned to
losing him.<br><br>Dalziel said: "I have a limited
amount of players available at the moment<br>with the
injuries we've got and I'd certainly want to keep
him.<br><br>"But at the end of the day if the opportunity came up
for the lad to join a<br>club like Celtic then I
certainly would not stand in the boy's way."<br><br>But he
denied that they have already received a bid from the
Glasgow<br>giants.<br><br>Dalziel added: "We've had no enquiry, but I wouldn't
be
surprised if Celtic<br>were interested because he is a
wonderful talent.''<br><br>However, the Ayr boss believes
Teale will go on to great things and would<br>flourish
alongside big names such as Henrik Larsson at
Parkhead.<br><br>Dalziel insisted: "He's a fantastic talent and I think
the higher the level<br>and the better the players,
the better he'll be.''
Evening Times<br><br>Gangland revenge theory in
pub fire <br> <br> <br>A MYSTERY blaze has destroyed
a Glasgow pub popular with Celtic fans.<br><br>And
police today are probing a revenge attack theory after
the Huddle <br>Club was torched.<br><br>The Royston
Road club in the north of Glasgow was destroyed in the
<br>fire, when the roof caved in.<br><br>The pub is owned
by the partner of notorious Glasgow criminal Brian
<br>Murphy, 52, who was jailed for five years for culpable
homicide <br>earlier this year.<br><br>His victim was
gangland rival John Keenan, 35, and sources believe
<br>his associates could be behind the attack on the
pub.<br><br>At daylight police forensic experts and officers of
Strathclyde Fire <br>Investigation Unit arrived to examine
the burnt-out remains of the <br>building.<br><br>The
club was closed when the blaze broke out and no-one
was in the <br>building.<br><br>An underworld source
said: "There's a lot of bad blood flowing among <br>the
criminal elements in Roystonhill, not only over the death
of the <br>victim, but also because of the light
sentence some feel that the <br>club owner
received.<br><br>"Trouble has been brewing and I would not be surprised if
the fire in <br>the club was a revenge
act."<br><br>Only the walls of the club remain standing. At the
height of last <br>night's blaze, which took two hours
to control, the roof collapsed, <br>forcing
firefighters to retreat to safety.<br><br>The blaze threatened
to spread and firefighters had to break into the
<br>neighbouring Rosemount family learning centre to secure the
premises.<br><br>Tony Browning, who lives next to the Huddle Club,
said: "Flames were <br>shooting through the roof of the
club more than 50ft into the air. <br>There was a
whoosh and a bang as the roof collapsed and a great ball
<br>of fire shot upwards."<br><br>Strathclyde Police
refused to comment on any theory being probed by
<br>detectives.<br><br>A spokeswoman said: "The cause of the blaze has not
yet been <br>determined."
Celtic midfielder Stilian Petrov could make his
first start for nearly six<br>months against
Dunfermline after recovering from a broken leg.<br><br>The
Bulgaria international recently featured twice for his
country and<br>manager Martin O'Neill is considering
recalling him to the side.<br><br>Summer signing Bobo Balde
could also make his debut after being
sidelined<br>through injury, while Robert Douglas, Neil Lennon, Johan
Mjallby and Paul<br>Lambert should overcome niggling
injuries picked up on international duty.<br><br>Belgian
defender Joos Valgaeren is also close to returning, but
winger<br>Bobby<br>Petta is definitely ruled out with a hamstring
injury.<br><br>Dunfermline manager Jimmy Calderwood will be without injured
duo Andrius<br>Skerla and Steven Boyle for the
daunting trip to Parkhead.<br><br>Elsewhere, Calderwood
has no other selection problems to contend with as
he<br>bids to end a run of three consecutive
defeats.<br><br>Scotland duo Stevie Crawford and Barry Nicholson have
reported back from<br>international duty with no problems
and look set to start.
So, what did everybody think about Bobo today? He
certainly looks every bit as big as he was made out to
be... built like a boxer! Looks like he can run with
the ball, plays it forward well, is good in the air,
etc., etc., etc...<br>As an aside... I see the huns
only managed a tie today. Too bad. ;-)
Not sure if you guys have seen this or not. Got

which<br>there was no repetition.<br>But his greatest moment

are Scotlands great loss. To the fans<br>and the
players you were always the boss.<br><br>Yours is the
greatest story of them all. To that night you<br>answered
our saviours call.
Don't know if anyone relizes this, but a few
posters on this group are from New York, including Al. I
Called a few friends of mine in NY the day of the attack
and they said everything was nuts there. Hope
everyone is safe tonight.<br>Stephen
Just wanted to say I hope everyone & their families & friends are ok...I've been
thinking about all the people that post in the clubs I'm in, anyways hope you
are all well,<br><br>Lorna
Hey gang... Um I've got no words really to
describe my, and many others emotions toward all of
this..but just had to write something cause I know many of
you in this club are from NYC. If there is need for
anything e-mail me, and I can gather some people to
help.<br><br>Cheers,<br><br>Jimmy
Thanks for the thought Stephen. I've been so
gutted by all that has happened I can barely talk about
it. Glad to hear none of you were to badly affected
by all that has happened in the last week. <br>I was
really looking forward to the match on Saturday. It may
seem weird to some of you but I guess for me it was
something that felt normal and it was great to be squeezed
into Rocky's surrounded by friends watching a GREAT
match!<br>Hope you all were able to be with friends, family and
the bhoys....you know, all the things that matter in
life :)<br><br>-Al
JUVENTUS STAR GIVEN LOWDOWN ON
CELTIC<br><br>Juventus striker Marcelo Salas has turned to friend and
former Rangers player Sebastian Rozental for advice on
tackling Celtic.<br>Juve welcome Martin O'Neill's side to
the Stadio delle Alpi for the Champions League Group
E opening game on Tuesday.<br>The £22million
striker is close friends with fellow Chilean Rozental,
whose time at Ibrox was ravaged by injury.<br>But Salas
reckons Rozental, now back in his homeland with Chilean
outfit Colo Colo, has given him a few words of advice
about what to expect in Turin.<br>He said: "Sebastian
is my friend and, as he played for Rangers, I called
him on Friday to ask what he knew about
Celtic.<br>"He still keeps in touch with people in Glasgow, so
he was able to tell me Celtic are a very good team
with dangerous forwards who will have to be watched
very carefully.<br>"He did not speak very much about
individual players but more about the strengths of their
team as a whole.<br>"He says they are a very strong
unit and we know they will be hard to beat.
I was just informed by the CSC that no one in NYC
will show this match!!! : (<br>I guess it's only being
played on ESPN Latin?????? How can this be?? This
sucks.<br><br>Oh yeah and where the hell is everyone? I'm replying
to my own post for fucks sake!!! Get to
postin!<br><br>-al
yeah looks like were fucked here in the states as
far as seeing the game.No matter what happens to us
tomorrow just remember we're in with the big boys. I have
faith that MON will see us through and we'll get a
point out of the game. Oh and how about the great songs
on saturday? "Send the huns to, send the huns to,
send the huns..to Dagestan" fuckin' brilliant stuff
and Heyyyy BAaaby!
I'm hoping the local Italian station will carry the game. I don't mind Italian
play-by-play, I just want to see the frickin' game! Still, its not listed... :(
I have heard that an Italian cafe in Boston's
north end is planning on showing it somehow. As I am in
Texas, this does me no good however. Hopefully some
people will get to see it.<br><br>I hope all this mess
with ESPN and TEAM gets sorted out so we can see the
rest of the games though.
I'd like to do a little venting right now but I'm still not ready... maybe more
beer is needed.<br>Christ, I haven't seen that much diving since I watched Das
Boot!!!
Martin O'Neill exploded with rage after Celtic
lost 3-2 following a late disputed penalty in their
Champions League opener against Juventus in
Turin.<br>Celtic looked on course for a point and maybe more after
Stilian Petrov and Henrik Larsson cancelled out David
Trezeguet's brace.<br>Edgar Davids had been sent off and
Celtic looked like stunning Juve, but with two minutes
remaining referee Helmut Krug awarded them a penalty after
Nicola Amoruso appeared to dive in the box under the
challenge of Joos Valgaeren.<br>O'Neill was sent to the
stand by the German official after remonstrating on the
touchline and after seeing Amoruso fire home he was unable
to control his anger.<br>"It was woeful," snapped
O'Neill. "It was an extraordinary decision.<br>"I'm sure
when the referee sees it on TV he'll realise I'm
right. It was shocking - I couldn't believe it when he
pointed to the spot.<br>"I may be totally wrong because I
have not seen the incident again but the player was a
foot away from the ball.<br>"That was a devastating
blow for us but in the end the players did
well.<br>"The second-half performance was fantastic and I have
nothing but the highest praise for the players.<br>"But
I'm absolutely devastated and it's hard to take after
the way we played."<br>O'Neill took some heart from
his side's second-half fightback after they looked
dead and buried.<br>But he admitted it will do nothing
to cheer the players after the cruel
finale.<br>O'Neill added: "The team's performance in the second half
was extraordinary and we mounted wave after wave of
attacks.<br>"But the players are in the dressing room and they're
all devastated. There was only going to be one winner
and I couldn't believe it when the ref awarded the
penalty."<br>Juventus coach Marcello Lippi admitted his side were
fortunate, but felt the penalty was the right
decision.<br>"Yes we were quite lucky," said Lippi. "I have never
seen a penalty yet that's been awarded without the
players of the other team disputing the
decision.<br>"Celtic disputed the decision as they thought the
decision was wrong, but that's the way it goes."<br>But
Lippi insisted that Krug was wrong to give Dutch star
Davids his marching orders in his first match back after
his drugs ban.<br>The Italian added: "I think there
were a lot of tackles from my players at that part of
the game as we looked to stop Celtic.<br>"But I
thought Edgar Davids was unlucky and his second booking
was hasty and I didn't agree with the
decision.<br>"His performance was good, but I wanted to take him
off but I couldn't do it quickly enough."
I'm still in a big wean huff!!!!<br><br>By the
way if you ever can't access the match- try Celtic's
own website- if you register with them you'll get
match commentries live for most games- which isn't
quite down the boozer, but better than a poke in the
eye with a sharp stick?<br><br>Lorna
Fuckin robbed, we were! The game did show how
much better than the huns we are though. I don't know
about you guys but I can't wait for big Bobo to stomp
flo and the rest of the huns (can we still say huns
here ;) into the dirt.
Burchill’s season over after training
accident<br><br>Colin Stewart <br><br>A SERIOUS training ground injury
at Portsmouth has ended Mark Burchill’s <br>hopes of
playing again this season. <br><br>The former Celtic
striker damaged the cruciate ligament in his knee when
<br>he fell awkwardly during a seven-a-side game. He was
immediately taken <br>to hospital, and though he will have
further tests next week, it seems <br>certain he will be
forced to sit out his club’s expected promotion
<br>challenge in Nationwide Division1. <br><br>Burchill, who at
21 has earned five Scotland caps, found his
<br>international career was hampered by his failure to win a
regular <br>starting place at Parkhead last season. After
a loan spell at Birmingham <br>City he transferred
to Portsmouth in the summer for £600,000. There he
<br>has enjoyed great success, scoring four goals in five
game, working as a <br>foil to partner Peter Crouch in
attack. <br><br>Portsmouth manager Graham Rix said:
"[Mark] was in a lot of pain and if <br>the news isn’t
good then he could be out for some time. It’s a major
<br>blow because he had settled in well."
FUCK! I still can't believe it!! What a day. I
have a lot of oponions about todays match but I think
a fellow CSC memeber said it best "Come on bhoys
it's Fucking Aberdeen!!!" A win is a win, but I expect
more than just a win from Celtic, and I was
disappointed today.<br>The Huns. Oh fuck! The first half was
fablous and I really thought Dundee Utd. had a good
chance of a win. <br>Flo, that bastard! As much as I
hate to admit it, the huns looked great in the second
and absolutely trampled Dundee Utd. 6-1 Argh.
<br>Should be a VERY interesting match next Sunday now that
the top slot is on the line. <br>Looks like Saturday
will be an all night bender leading up to the 7am kick
off.<br><br>-al "if 10am isn't to early to drink, neither is 7"
