The CGW list was created to discuss the Chicago Great Western Railway. The dialogue may include any topic related to the history of the CGW, predecessor roads, and disposition of locomotives, equipment, and plant on successor roads, e.g., cab units, tank cars, and flanger stars. The forum also includes topics and sharing of information on modeling the CGW.

When posting, please keep the following Rules of the CGW Forum in mind.
Rule #1: All subjects MUST be related to the CGW Railway. Moderators have made few exceptions.
Rule #2: At the end of every message post to the forum use your first/last name. (city/state is optional but many times develops relationships of interest or comradery of CGW fans).
Rule #3: Please "trim or truncate" messages to eliminate confusion and keep our forum clean.
Rule #4: Use email headers that are persistant with the topic in your email. Enables search functionality.
Rule #5: Keep the email thread on topic. Reply to the email message, do not create a new thread on the same topic.
Rule #6: If you have an issue with a message from a member and feel strongly enough to use vulgar or discriminating language I encourage you to work out your disagreements off the forum. Keep in mind we can all "agree to disagree" on any topic of discussion on the CGW.
Rule #7: Sales of Non-CGW related items will not be permitted. Include your asking price in the email.
Rule #8: No emails and/or signatures advertising other websites, blogs, nor business related information will be allowed.
Rule #9: Links to auction sites such as eBay, etc. will not be allowed.
Rule #10: When joining the CGW Yahoo!Group you will be asked for your name and location. Ensure you are a real person and not a spam server/spam bot.
