Planning for Baltimore Chowhound events.

Here's the story:

Once upon a time, a bunch of regular posters on the site, Chowhound, along with a lurker or two, decided that we should get together for dinner at a local place that had garnered much discussion. Since CH didn't allow for outings to be planned on their site, we started this group.

While this message board is primarily used to plan outings, we also have used it to discuss issues not allowed on Chowhound, or occasionally complain about the site that we love, but sometimes love to hate.

If you are into going out, especially with unrepentant foodies in the Baltimore area, this may be the place for you.

Please note: Issues that can be discussed on Chowhound, including asking for restaurant and other food-related recommendations or writing reviews should not be posted on this board, and should, instead, be directed at the larger audience at Chowhound. This is for the benefit of the poster, since Chowhound has a far wider audience, and will help keep this board (relatively) focused.

In addition, we are all volunteers here. While we don't have formal "rules" to date, we would hope that you will be an active participant, and feel free to propose and organize your own outings. Given that this is a "Charm City" board, we have decided to confine all outings to the Baltimore-metro area.

Finally, we are a very friendly group. If you are unsure about something, please either ask online, or email one of the moderators.
