Autum is magickal. My problem is I suffer quite badly from S.A.D & have done since I was about 12, so come the darker months I feel horribly anxious and at worst, stuck in a black hole so nearing towards Sept/Oct I get nervous and feel a bit fed up. Last winter was my best so far and I'm determined to embrace this Autumn and love it for the amazing season that it is. Will keep you updated.

Autum Equinox, especially due to my determination to not sink into skankiness, I definitely want to do something nice this Equinox.
Here's what I've found-

PF Autumn Equinox ritual. 24th Sept'09 by Tribe of Avalon. Conway Hall. 7.30pm-10pm. Fees: £4 members & unwaged/ £5 all others. Summer draws to a close, and days begin to shorten. Soon, day light equals night hours

Thursday 17 September; Tribe of Avalon Dark Moon Ritual. The ritual runs from 7pm to 10p at Atlantis Bookshop, Museum St, London. For more details and to book places email drewdruid@gmail. com or call The Atlantis Bookshop on 0207 405 2120.

Plus I get to enjoy the cosyness of being inside warm when its rainy and windy our, before the cold weather and short days start getting to me and I start to long for summer again! Ooh, and lets not forget lots of yummy root vegetable cooking (I try to eat seasonally) and swapping my summer wardrobe for my winter one!

When I cast circles my cats furiously walk around the circumference of the circle, how I will never know and then jump onto my stuff once I've taken down the circle ALTHOUGH last week My thirsty cat Ink spotted the water in my chalice and debated for a minute or so whether it was safe to pounce and steal the Volvic water honouring the West, she wasn't sure at first but then the dry throat took over and she cautiously went towards it, I had to shoo her away lol.
When I first got my wand I was so petrified of Prince eating it that I randomly started screaming at him that he must never do it and why, madly shaking my wand and going red, he sat there and stared at me blankly. He then sniffed the wand and gave me 'The Look' as if to say, come on mum it's a stick of wood man! But he gave me a lick in the end and left it alone. I swiftly bought a lovely, velvet cover for it :)

My favorite magical item recently got eaten by my dog so is a bit of a sore subject.

Note to group: Pets seem to love anything charged or used for magic. If I set up an alter, my cat can't wait to try and jump on it. If I cast a circle, only a firmly shut door will allow me to be left in peace without the danger of candles being knocked over and spell items being stolen and played with. I have now learned to put my things away as soon as I am finished with them, which admittedly is something most people learn in playschool but in some areas of life I am a little slow on the uptake.

So, favorite (intact, unchewed on ritual tool. I can't say I am over attached to any of my ritual tools in general, mainly because I tend to use my hands and mind a lot more than I use tools. I also tend to take a 'work with what you have' approach to alters and circles so often work with items that may seem very random to the casual observer.

Something I do love though is a little leather pouch that I wear round my neck at times and change the items inside depending on circumstances. It always contains one of my dogs baby teeth, a whisker from my cat, and a couple of locks of hair from a few important people (I promise no animals or people were harmed in the making of this charm) And for example, when I went on holiday recently I took it with me and wore it all the time, to keep myself connected to my pets and protection magic I have done for them. I also added a piece of clear quartz to absorb negative energy, a piece of rose quartz to avoid arguments and conflicts and a piece of Tigers eye for confidence and safe travel.

Yeah yeah I know this doesn't count as a ritual 'tool' but its the closest answer I can come up with :-)

I'm gonna take my sis and bro out for a coffee sometime next week, and then stay with them over the Christmas period as we visit my mum (for Christmas Eve and Day), my dad (Boxing day), and then maybe go with my dad, bro, and sis to stay at my uncle's house in Oxfordshire for a few days. But at present, I'm staying up all night AGAIN, trying to write this damn neuropsychological patient report. AGH!
You? xx

Good question hun,
Well lots of people view the November Esbat as a lovely time for evaluation.
It's a time to view truths and untruths and handle them in a strong and
appropriate way.
We should move forward in Nov (something I try hard to do any month, never go
backwards if you can AT ALL help it)
Winter is happening so focus on things in your life that are so, what needs
changing? What needs altering as the season changes?
You can also connect with the Goddess and God for many the same reasons.
Big transofrmation is great here. (addictions, new jobs, big weight change etc)
Angel x
PS Or you can just hold your hands out to the lady (or the lord in the day) and
bring her towards you, love her and thank her. Then love all things about you
and your life. An esbat can be simple.

(I got the belowe bit from a website)
Herbs: Grains Of Paradise, Monkshood, Verbena, Betony, Borage, Cinquefoil,
Blessed Thistle.
Colours: Grey, Sea-Green.
Flowers: Chrysanthemums & Cyclamen.
Perfumes: Cedar, Hyacinth, Narcissus, Peppermint & Lemon.
Crystals: Topaz & Lapis Lazuli.
Trees: Cypress.
Animals: Badger.
Birds: Sparrow.
Deities: Kali, Hecate, Bast, Osiris & Lakshmi.

Well, I wrote this particular one-it's a little ritual I wrote to assist in
letting go, female togetherness and hopes. It would be so amount of women, in a
circle, me and an equally nervous assistant attempting to organise it-do the
ritual, hopefully enjoy it and then drown our sorrow in wine if we didn't :)
(wine will be there for all anyway).
A small cost would be paid by each girly to pay for the room.
Any questions?? x
