Here's a place to exchange information about vintage Christmas cards with other collectors. Learn from each other about the publishers, artists, and writers. Help identify cards. Talk about ways to organize or display a collection. Buy, sell, and trade!
We are NOT an appraisal service. We DO NOT give estimates on how much the card you found in grandma's attic is worth.
This group is open to collectors of Victorian, Edwardian, and vintage Christmas cards. I ask that commercial vendors do not turn this group into just a free market place to advertise products. Members should not spam the other members, but feel free to list your website on the Links page.
We have a folder in the FILES section with documents such as: Helpful Hints for Dateing Christmas Cards, and Places to Find Cards. Please let us know if you have any additional hints that we can add to these documents.
The featured card (on right) is from my L. Prang Christmas card collection. At the top it says "A MERRY CHRISTMAS" and at the bottom "A MODERN SANTA CLAUS". It is marked L.Prang 1881.
I'm enjoying these, Deb. Thanks for posting. Brian "Don't believe everything you think" -- theme of La Ciudad de las Ideas festival, Puebla, Mexico 2008
Yes, regarding Etsy, I spend a lot of time there in the "vintage" section and I just type in christmas in the search box because I collect the ornaments too
