LA FESTIVALUL DE TEATRU SOCIAL

 

26 IUNIE 2011 , ora 11.00, Ginta Latină

Chişinău, Republica Moldova

 

La 26 iunie 2011 reţeaua internaţională de tineri Y-PEER cu susţinerea Fondului ONU pentru Populaţie (UNFPA), Uniunii Europene şi Programului Naţiunilor Unite pentru Dezvoltare (PNUD) în cadrul proiectului „Susţinerea Măsurilor de Promovare a Încrederii”, în colaborare cu Societatea de Planificare a Familiei din Moldova, SPFM şi a Centrului pentru dezvoltarea iniţiativelor civice din Bender „Rezonance”, în parteneriat cu Ministerul Educaţiei, Ministerul Tineretului şi Sportului, organizează Festivalul Naţional de Teatru Social.

 

În acest context lansăm o invitaţie către toţi tinerii pasionaţi de Teatrul Social de a fi prezenţi la Festivalul de Teatru Social.

 

Prin intermediul acestui festival se propune prezentarea metodei Educaţiei de la Egal la Egal şi anume a Teatrului Social, care presupune transmiterea informaţiei într-un mod interactiv şi captivant pentru tineri.

Festivalul presupune prezentarea cluburilor/ echipelor de teatru social din Republica Moldova care activează sub egida Y-PEER şi prezentarea scenetei pregătite pentru festival.

 

Festivalul de Teatru Social se va axa pe următoarele tematici şi domenii de informare:

1.        Sănătatea Reproductivă, inclusiv prevenirea Infecţiilor cu transmitere sexuală (ITS) şi HIV/SIDA, relaţiile dintre tineri, pregătirea către viaţa de familie, responsabilitate pentru viaţa de familie etc.

2.        Migraţia, traficul de persoane şi consecinţele generate

3.        Violenţa în bază de gen.

Dacă da, atunci eşti omul nostru!

 

Centrul Tânărului Jurnalist din Moldova te invită la Târgul Locurilor de Practică pentru tinerii jurnalişti/ studenţii la Jurnalism.

 Vino cu noi, sâmbătă, 2 iulie, ora 10.00 în Scuarul Catedralei pentru a câştiga un loc de practică!

 

Prin acest eveniment ne propunem:

Ø   să oferim tinerilor jurnalişti posibilitatea de a căpăta experienţă în domeniul în care doresc sa profeseze,

Ø   să stabilească relaţii durabile cu colegii de breaslă,

Ø   să beneficieze de o ofertă mai largă privind instituţia gazdă,

Ø    să-şi găsească mai uşor un stagiu de practică.

 

La târg vor participa manageri ai posturilor de televiziune, radio, presă scrisă, presă online şi ONG-uri de media.

The Representation of the European Commission in Romania will award this
year, within the framework of Black Sea NGO Forum, the Black Sea NGO Award
for Excellency.

The aim of the award is to enhance the profile of the Black Sea Synergy
and its role in proposing a regional, cooperative approach in the region
as well as the multilateral dimension of EU external policies.
The winner of the award will receive directly from ECR a grant amounting
to 5,000 EUR.

Goals of the Award:
•  to promote regional NGO cooperation in the Black Sea region
•  to promote concrete good practices of NGO cooperation in the region
among and for NGOs
•  to raise the general public's awareness of existing initiatives of NGO
cooperation in the Black Sea region

To whom it is addressed:
NGOs registered in the Black Sea wider region (Armenia, Azerbaijan,
Belarus, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Republic of Moldova, Romania, Russian
Federation, Turkey, Ukraine)

The nominated organizations should lead NGO initiative(s) involving actors
from or impacting on more countries in the region. The nominees should
have a proven record of good practice in their work and in fulfilling the
organizational mission (transparency, autonomy etc.)

Selection criteria:
•  proven commitment to cooperation in the Black Sea region (track records
of initiatives and projects)
•  projects that increase awareness of regional cooperation and European
policies
• involving multiple actors (NGOs, other civil society groups, academia,
mass media, local and national authorities, international organizations,
donors etc.)
•  innovative projects, with an European value added as well as a
multiplier effect (impact beyond the target group)
•  visible impact

Process of selection:
a.          call for nomination of potential award candidates launched at
regional and international level [1 July]
b.          deadline for receipt of nominations [31 August]
c.          additional information may be requested from the short-listed
nominated organizations (e.g. annual reports, short description of their
regional  activities) [31 August – 7 September]
d.          evaluation by the evaluation committee [mid to end of September]

Who can nominate:
NGOs, other civil society groups, academia, mass media, local and national
authorities, international organizations, donors etc. operating in the
Black Sea region.

Awarding ceremony:
The ceremony in which the award will be formally granted will take place
during the Black Sea NGO Forum, 6-8 October 2011, in Bucharest, Romania.

This week in Youth Policy Watch, the European Commission presents its post 2013 budget including the integration of education, training, youth and sports into a single programme. Also in this issue, the Council of Europe gives its backing to a Vote@16 campaign and finally, Poland takes over the presidency of the European Council and presents what it will seek to achieve for young people during its six months mandate.

European Commission announces new budget for youth

video-barroso-mmf.jpgIn its Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) communication released on 30th June, the European Commission presented its long-awaited proposals for the EU's next seven-year budget. With regards to young people, the Commission announced the integration of education, training, youth and sport programmes for the upcoming framework, with a perceived budget of 15.2 Billion for the 2014-2020 period.

Council of Europe gives backing to Vote@16 Campaign

100733-a-girl-waits-for-her-parent-to-finish-voting-during-the-portuguese-gen.jpgDuring the last plenary from 20-24th June, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) adopted a new report calling on member states to investigate the possibility of lowering the voting age to 16 for all kinds of elections in Europe. The report states that the participation of all 16 and 17 year olds should be encouraged as they already have responsibilities within society.

Commission disappointed with European Council Conclusions

The European Commission has expressed its disappointment that no reference was made to the 'youth guarantee' in the recent conclusions adopted by the European Council on 17th June. I hope that member states are prepared to review this position in the near future and introduce comparability elements said the Employment and Social Affairs Commissioner Lazlo Andor. In the recent conclusions, ministers re-affirmed their desire to tackle youth unemployment, in particular stressing its importance in reaching the targets set out by the Europe 2020 strategy.

EU heads of state tighten Shenghen rules

EU heads of state and government adopted a political decision to reform the Schengen passport-free travel area at the conclusion of a summit in Brussels on 24th June. Leaders attending the EU summit resolved on stepping up the political guidance on how the Schengen area was managed, stipulating that his should be done in accordance with common standards and fundamental principles and norms.

Ministers back Union's new disability strategy

European employment and social affairs ministers gave their support to the EU's new Disability Strategy 2010-2020 at a meeting on 17th June. In the conclusions, the ministers invite member states and the Commission to adopt 'necessary and appropriate measures' in eight areas of action: accessibility, participation, equality, employment, education and training, social protection, health and external action.

Poland takes on presidency of the European Council

On 1st July, Poland took over the presidency of the European Council and presented in more detail what it seeks to achieve during its six month mandate. In its work for young people, the Polish presidency will focus on a field of action called youth and the world, which will aim to increasing cooperation between young people from the European Union and their peers from Eastern European countries.

Youth organisations call for European list

European youth organisations from a wide political spectrum urged MEPs to create an EU-wide constituency for the next European Parliament (EP) elections in 2014, at a meeting in Brussels on 27th June. The initiative, which is fronted by the Young European Federalists (JEF), follows a report by MEP Andrew Duff which proposes to add 25 more MEPs from transnational lists during the elections to the European Parliament in 2015. Each EU citizen would thus have two ballots, one for national lists and another for EU-wide lists.

Commission launches EU 'Peace corps' pilot

On 17th June, the European Commission announced details of a pilot programme, the 'European Voluntary Humanitarian Aid Corps' (EVHAC), which will see just under 100 young people serve in various projects to help vulnerable and disaster-struck parts of the world. The pilot projects, which come at a cost of 1,250,000 to the EU, will be implemented by three NGOs with long-standing experience in international aid: Red Cross France and the British branches of Save the Children and Voluntary Service Overseas.

Invitation to the Forum

We warmly invite you to participate in the 6th Economic Forum of Young
Leaders which takes place between the 6th and 10th of September 2011 in
Nowy Scz (near Krakow), Poland. The Forum is a meeting of young leaders of
political, economic, social and non-governmental organisations from the
European Union, Balkan, Eastern Europe and the South Caucasus countries.
Main themes of this year Forum are: the future of euro zone, migration
policy and Schengen, young people on the labour market.
The Forum is a venue for discussion of important processes in our continent
and in the world as well as challenges for young generation. Forum gives
room for debate about the future of the European Union and its relation
with neighbouring countries. A four day programme involves panel
discussions, workshops as well as receptions and business evenings. Let's
meet in Poland together!


Practical information

Recruitment of participants ends on the 15th of July, 2011. We do cover
your travel costs up to 300 Euro. There is a registration fee: 60 Euro for
participants from the EU, Norway and Iceland and 30 Euro for participants
from Balkan, Turkey, East Europe and the South Caucasus countries. Please
note that the fee bear only those participants who underwent a successful
recruitment process. We offer you access to all sessions, plenaries,
meetings, discussions and workshops, coffee breaks, gala dinner,
breakfasts, lunches and dinners throughout the Forum. Moreover
accommodation in the student's dormitories and conference materials are
also included. Participants of the Forum will also take part in some
sessions of the 21st Economic Forum in Krynica.


Our mission

The Forum is a meeting of young people and a venue for discussion and
reflection on the future of Europe. We are offering young generation an
opportunity to speak out and express themselves not only among the European
elite but also amongst the general society with the help of new media. We
intend Forum to open minds of the young people to creative thinking,
ambitions and inspire them to act together. In the future Forum will become
a think-tank of the young leaders.

Un nou proiect marca EDUCATIVA se pregateste de lansare. Ne propunem sa oferim absolventilor de studii in strainatate oportunitati de cariera prin care pot sa-si valorifice investitia in educatie. Oferta noastra raspunde unei probleme inerente, intalnita in majoritatea cazurilor absolventilor vizati: o retea profesionala si sociala in Romania insuficient dezvoltata prin intermediul caruia sa aiba acces la oportunitati de cariera interesante / relevante, in organizatii care sunt pregatite sa-i integreze.

 

Pentru a stabili care este cea mai potrivita identitate vizuala pentru acest proiect va propunem un concurs de design tuturor celor care au experienta in acest domeniu. NAPOMUN is an academic simulationof the United Nations, a Model United Nations (MUN) organized in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. MUN simulations help participantsdevelop better skills in communication, conflict management, public speaking, multilateral diplomacy, cultural awareness etc.

NAPOMUN will provide you with a wave of long lasting experiences!

Each participant will take the role of adelegaterepresenting a country. Delegates have to promote and protect the interests of their country during the debates in the chosen council.

You can also choose to be ajournalistand closely monitor the debates.

Casa M este un text contemporan, care vorbeşte despre viaţa femeilor care au suferit de pe urma violenţei în familie si are drept scop sensibilizarea publicului vizavi de riscurile si consecintele violentei fata de femei. Acesta prezinta istorii reale ale catorva femei din Republica Moldova, care au avut de suferit de pe urma violentei in familie: celei psihologice, fizice si sexuale. Dupa spectacol vor avea loc discutii interactive, care vor fi moderate de catre actorii si expertii specializati in combaterea violentei in familiei.  
Va vom fi extrem de recunoscatori pentru diseminarea cat mai larga a acestui anunt si in special in randul retelelor Dvs. regionale!

The CASA M. play aims to prevent and combat domestic violence by raising public awareness of real-life situations, risks and consequences of violence against women. It presents true stories of Moldovan women suffering from different types of violence, including psychological, physical and sexual. On 7th July MEPs called for the establishment of quotas to enhance women's presence amongst management bodies in companies. They are notably asking for women to represent 30% of executives in major European businesses that are floated on the stock exchange by 2015 and 40% by 2020. If progress is not made the Parliament has invited the Commission to put forward legislation to impose quotas by 2012 and Commisisoner Vivian Reding said she is prepared to do this by March 2012. The non-legislative resolution was approved 534 votes in favour, 109 against and 29 abstentions. It is one of the themes mentioned in the project launched by the Robert Schuman Foundation "Women for Europe and the Citizens' Initiative." ŞCOALA DE VARĂ “PARTICIPAREA CIVICĂ A TINERILOR ÎN MOLDOVA”

Comitetul Internaţional pentru Diplomaţie Civică anunţă selectarea participanţilor la Şcoala de Vară care se va desfăşura în perioada 15-21 august 2011.

Scopul de bază al şcolii de vară îl reprezintă:

·         sporirea cunoştinţelor privind angajamentul civic al tinerilor în special la nivel local;

·         dezvoltarea abilităţilor de a desfăşura activităţi de participare civică;

·         consolidarea instrumentelor proprii de promovare a mobilităţii tinerilor în localitatea lor.

 

Sunt încurajaţi să aplice pentru Şcoala de Vară tinerii cu vîrsta cuprinsă între 15-19 ani din regiunea de nord a ţării (Şoldăneşti, Rezina, Orhei), precum şi regiunea tranistreană (Rîbniţa şi Camenca).

Doritorii sunt rugaţi să completeze formularul de aplicare care poate fi descărcat pe site-ul www.civicdiplomacy.org şi să-l expedieze la adresa concurs@... până la 1 august 2011.

Veţi fi anunţaţi cu privire la rezultatele finale nu mai târziu de 8 august 2011. Doar personele selectate vor fi anunțate cu privire la locul de desfășurare a școlii de vară.

Activităţi. Pe parcursul celor 7 zile ale Şcolii vor fi organizate activităţi teoretice și practice (de ex. lecturi, teatru social, jocuri de rol, studii de caz, prezentări de grup, etc.). Participanţii vor primi diplome de participare.

 Beneficii pentru participanţi:

- posibilitatea de a învăţa de la experţii în economie, politică, social, cultură şi mediu;
- posibilitatea de dezvoltare personală şi profesională;
- oportunitatea de a crea noi contacte cu tinerii de pe ambele maluri a le rîului Nistru;

- comunicarea eficientă cu colegii interesaţi de participare civică;

-diploma de participare;

Participarea la seminar este gratuită. Toate cheltuielile privind transportul participanţilor, cazarea, masa, sînt suportate de către organizatori.

Şcoala de vară se va desfăşura în limba română. În caz de necesitate, va fi asigurată şi interpretarea în limba rusă pentru participanţii din regiunea transnistreană.

Persoanele selectate pentru a participa la Şcoala de Vară îşi vor asuma responsabilitatea de a participa la toate sesiunile seminarului.

Comitetul Internaţional pentru Diplomaţie Civica (ICCD) - este o reţea europeană dinamică de dezvoltare a organizaţiilor de tineret pentru drepturile omului, a căror scop este de a activa în statele din Europa Centrală şi de Est. ICCD este focusat pe realizarea proiectelor educaţionale de tineret care vizează promovarea statului de drept, a principiilor democratice de interacţiune între stat şi societate, implicarea tinerilor în procesul decizional, în primul rând, la nivel local.

ЛЕТНЯЯ ШКОЛА "ГРАЖДАНСКОЕ УЧАСТИЕ МОЛОДЕЖИ В МОЛДОВЕ"

Международный Комитет Гражданской Дипломатии, объявляет набор участников Летней Школы, которая состоится в период с 15 по 21 августа 2011г.

Основные цели Летней Школы:
- повышение уровня знаний в области гражданского участия молодежи на местном уровне;
- развитие навыков по проведению мероприятий в области гражданского участия;
- развитие инструментов мобильности молодежи в их местности.

Приветствуются заявки на участие в Летней Школе от молодых людей в возрасте 15- 21 лет из северных регионов Республики Молдова (Шолдэнешты, Резина, Орхей) и Приднестровского региона (г.Рыбница и г.Каменка)

Просим желающих заполнить Заявку на участие, доступную на веб-странице www.civicdiplomacy.org , и отправить её по адресу concurs@civicdiplomacy.org до 1 августа 2011.

О результатах отбора будет сообщено не позднее 8 августа 2011 года. Место проведения Летней Школы будет объявлено только отобранным участникам.

Мероприятия: в течение 7 дней работы Школы будут организованы теоретические и практические занятия (например: чтение, ролевые игры, групповые презентации, и пр.). Слушатели получат дипломы об участии в Летней Школе.

Ожидаемые результаты для участников:

- возможность поучиться у экспертов в экономической, политической, социальной, культурной сферах и в области окружающей среды;

- возможность создавать новые контакты с молодыми людьми по обе стороны Днестра;

Участие в семинаре является бесплатным. Все затраты, связанные с транспортом, проживанием и питанием покрываются организаторами.

Летняя Школа будет проведена на румынском языке. При необходимости будет осуществляться перевод на русский язык для участников из Приднестровья.


Обязательное условие участия - участие во всех сессиях Летней Школе.

Reprezentanta Organizatiei Natiunilor Unite in Republica Moldova a lansat un concurs care are drept scop evidentierea si premierea celor mai valoroase initiative si actiuni de aparare si promovare a drepturilor omului de catre ONG-uri si mass-media. Concursul se va desfasura in baza de nominalizari, publicul fiind incurajat sa nominalizeze organizatii ale societatii civile, jurnalisti, institutii media etc., care au realizat contributii recente si autentice de promovare a drepturilor omului in Republica Moldova atat la nivel central, cat si local.

 

Sunt eligibile pentru competitie materialele si activitatile ce cuprind perioada dintre septembrie 2010 si 31 august 2011, care au produs un efect pozitiv si/sau au demonstrat creativitate, perseverenta, angajament, diligenta si eroism in domeniul drepturilor omului. Pot fi apreciate, de asemenea, actiunile cu o durata mai lunga.

 

Domeniile tematice includ orice domeniu al drepturilor omului, in conformitate cu standardele internationale relevante ale drepturilor omului. Sunt eligibili pentru premii:

- Persoane sau grupuri formale ori informale ale societatii civile sau organizatii nonguvernamentale;

- Jurnalisti si institutii media de orice fel, inclusiv media locale, regionale ori nationale, precum si media noi si media electronice.


In acest context, voi fi foarte recunoscator daca Va veti implica activ in concurs, fie ca nominanti sau nominalizatori, sau veti disemina aceasta informatie celor despre care stiti ca au facut ceva pentru protectia si promovarea drepturilor omului in RM.

În 2009 au băgat după gratii tinerii protestatari, în 2011 vor îmbrăca mantia de avocat


Sergiu Crutco, fostul magistrat de la Judecătoria sectorului Centru care a emis mandate de arest în Comisariatul General de Poliţie în timpul evenimentelor din aprilie 2009, poate îmbrăca mantia de avocat. Instanţa a obligat Uniunea Avocaţilor să-i permită fostului judecător să profeseze avocatura. După ce a obţinut câştig, Crutco nu este sigur că mai vrea să apară în rol de apărător.

„Am câştigat, dar încă nu am hotărârea instanţei. Acum nu ştiu dacă voi profesa sau nu", a declarat el.
„Trebuie să-l facem avocat. A câştigat", a spus Gheorghe Amihălăchioaie, preşedintele Baroului de Avocaţi.
Şi Mihail Drosu, un alt fost magistrat care a judecat tinerii la Poliţie, ar putea deveni în curând avocat. Dosarul acestuia, care pare a fi tras la indigo cu cel al lui Sergiu Crutco, este încă la Curtea de Apel Chişinău.

Nu fi indiferent atunci, cînd este nevoie de ajutorul tău!

 

Cu această chemare s-au adresat elevilor membrii Consiliului Local al Tinerilor din LT „Sergiu Coipan”,  s. Selemet, Cimișlia cu scopul de a realiza activități de curățire a rîulețului Schinoasa, ce trece prin mijlocul satului, după ce tinerii grupului de iniţiativă au beneficiat de instruiri în cadrul proiectului “Stimularea Inițiativelor Locale de Tineret”, implementat de Consiliul Național al Tineretului din Moldova cu susținerea AED şi Agenţiei SUA pentru Dezvoltare Internaţională (USAID).

 

În cadrul sesiunilor de instruire, tinerii au reușit să identifice problema, cauzele acesteia, actorii comunitari, care pot fi implicați în procesul de implementare a inițiativei, iar la sfîrșit au elaborat un plan de acțiuni complex pentru a  începe activitățile.

 

Implementarea inițiativei a decurs în cîteva etape:

  • Diseminarea foilor volante cu mesajul “Satul este în pericol!”, care au avut drept scop atenționarea sătenilor asupra problemei deşeurilor și gunoiștilor neautorizate, prezente în albia rîulețului.
  • Ședință cu primarul satului – Tatiana Badan – care a susținut tinerii prin acordarea a trei remorci pentru evacuarea gunoiului.
  • Discuții cu aministrația școlii, care a acordat materiale pentru crearea foilor volante, precum și a contribuit la mobilizarea elevilor și a profesorilor întru realizarea inițiativei.
  • Negocieri cu agenții economici din sat în vederea susținerii tinerilor cu mijloace financiare pentru procurarea mănușilor și sacilor de gunoi. Directorul unui lanț de magazine din sat a venit în întîmpinarea tinerilor, astfel încît s-a reușit să se adune toate materialele necesare pentru a începe lucrul.

 

În ziua curățeniei au participat cca 250 de persoane, elevi ai claselor a IV-a – a XII-a, repartizați pe trei sectoare, fiecare avînd desemnat cîte un profesor, responsabil de parcelă.  La finele acțiunii de curățenie, tinerii grupului de inițiativă au instalat de-a lungul rîulețului panouri de avertizare “Aruncarea gunoaielor este interzisă!”.

 

Grupul de iniţiativă susține că această acțiune nu doar a mobilizat locuitorii satului să ia o atitudine civică, ci și a sensibilizat sătenii privind problema deșeurilor din albia rîulețului și din întreg satul Selemet. Această iniţiativă este doar una din șirul multor altor acțiuni, care urmează a fi implementate de către grupul de iniţiativă și Consiliul Local al Tinerilor al liceului.

 

Proiectul “Stimularea Inițiativelor Locale de Tineret” este posibil graţie ajutorului generos al poporului american oferit prin intermediul Agenţiei SUA pentru Dezvoltare Internaţională (USAID), în cadrul Programului AED Consolidarea Societăţii Civile în Moldova (MCSSP). Opiniile exprimate aparţin autorilor şi nu reflectă în mod necesar poziţia USAID, Guvernului SUA sau AED.

Elevii liceului “Mihai Eminescu” din oraşul Bălți  aduc mass-media în clasă


Pornind de la ideea de a promova transparența și de a introduce elemente inovatoare de învățare în cadrul liceului “Mihai Eminescu” din or. Bălți, tinerii grupului de inițiativă, participanți la implementarea proiectului ”Stimularea Inițiativelor Locale de Tineret”, realizat de Consiliul Național al Tineretului din Moldova cu susținerea AED şi Agenţiei SUA pentru Dezvoltare Internaţională (USAID), au decis să elaboreze și să editeze un ziar pentru colegii săi.

 

Ziarul ”Pentru Tine” își propune să abordeze subiecte cum ar fi implicarea tinerilor în viața comunitară, respectarea drepturilor omului în cadrul liceului și în localitate, istorii de succes ale elevilor liceului, oportunități de dezvoltare și curiozități din mediul științific.

 

Obiectivul inițial s-a axat pe stimularea elevilor clasei a VII-a ”D” de a-și împărtăși gîndurile, creațiile și ideile cu ceilalți colegi ai săi prin intermediul ziarului. După ce inițiativa a primit susținerea Centrului Artistic Renovator pentru Tineret ”Art-Neo”(CART ”Art-Neo”), tinerii au decis să extindă grupul-țintă la nivel de liceu și să lărgească spectrul subiectelor abordate în ziar. Astfel, primul număr al ziarului “Pentru Tine” a fost prezentat în cadrul careului de totalizare, în fața părinților, elevilor, profesorilor și a administrației liceului. Reacțiile positive, care au urmat, i-au încurajat pe tineri să continue dezvoltarea iniţiativei, precum și să susțină alți colegi de-ai săi să urmeze calea implicării civice.

Fostering Civil Societys role for further European

We have the pleasure of inviting you to the next congress of the European Movement International (EMI) on Fostering Civil Societys role for further European integration in the Eastern Partnership countries, taking place on 20 21 October 2011 in Yerevan, Armenia.

This congress will have the aim of bringing together civil society actors as well as local and national public authorities from the European Union and the Eastern Partnership countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine), in order to provide a platform of exchange to discuss regional civil society activities and the sustainability of reform processes. In the long term perspective, the objective is to contribute to the democratization of the Eastern Partnership states.

During the 2-day programme, participants will have the possibility to share best practices and work on a political strategy that is supposed to provide recommendations on the further development of the regional civil society dialogue. The strategy will be a concrete expression of an unprecedented kind of cooperation in the history of the post-soviet states and deliver a set of options to keep eradicating the biggest problem of the development of Civil Society in the region: the gap between the public authorities and citizens in the policy-making process.

Background information:

As the oldest platform in promoting European integration, the European Movement International (EMI) has always strived for a more productive dialogue between civil society and public authorities. Recently, the EMI launched a political debate and started to monitor actions aimed at the development of the dialogue between civil society and public authorities in neighbouring countries, particularly in candidate and potential countries (Congresses in Ljubljana 2009 and Istanbul 2011) and in countries of the Mediterranean (Congresses in Algiers 2006 and Alicante 2009). The upcoming Yerevan Congress is to be seen in line with these previous congresses and as the next step of a long term commitment to contribute to an enhanced dialogue of civil society and public authorities at the highest level. The congress will be organised in cooperation with the National Council of the European Movement in Armenia.

Soliciting Nominations for COMMUNITY delegation members for the Global Fund Board delegation of the Communities Living with HIV, TB and affected by Malaria

 
The Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria has issued a call for applications to solicit nominations for COMMUNITY delegation members for the Global Fund Board delegation of the Communities Living with HIV, TB and affected by Malaria for years 2012 through 2014.
Women, young persons, drug users, sex workers and communities living and affected by the above-mentioned three diseases can be nominated for the Delegation. Applicants can be from the following regions:
  • Asia Pacific
  • Caribbean
  • Latin America
  • Eastern Europe and Central Asia
  • Mediterranean and North Africa
The Delegation actively participates in formulating policy and strategy positions on key issues of relevance and works closely with other delegations (in particular the Developed and Developing Country NGO Delegations) to ensure that issues relevant to communities infected and affected by the three diseases are effectively addressed.
Delegation members serve a three‐year term, dependant of performance‐based assessment a two‐year extension of this term may be granted by the leadership. The new Alternate Board Member and ad hoc committee representatives are chosen from the Communities Delegation. Successful applicants will begin their term in January 2012 through December 2014.
