Hey Pillow_Chan,

There really is no need for an apology on your part you did your job and for
whatever reason your boss had for bailing on you and your project is not your
fault. Though, to be quite honest I feel your boss should be the one to give
the apology seeing how the project you were working on, not to mention the time
and money you yourself invested into it was not for a personal hobby but for
his/her business. At the same time I really hope your boss did give you some
form of explanation as to why he needed to bail out and leave you with the debt.

Pillow-Chan was kind enough to let me hear the interview she did with Crispin
and I am very pleased with what I heard. And I'm truly proud of her for giving
it her all. Where she's trying to go it's a good model for the work force- the
workman's attitude.

To Pillow-chan: This sounds like a good idea, and I would highly advise trying
to take those interviews to someone who will give you credit for it, once you
get out of debt. And I know it may be tough, but if you're serious about it,
then do your thing, hon. The world is your cubicle. And there are so many
"Post-it" note oppurtunities for you to read and take into consideration. (One
being the one I talked to you about... It's got that new eternal adhesive, so ya
can't lose it! ^_^) I think your boss missed out on some good stuff here.
Crispin, speakin' gibberish! C'mon now. That's a once in a lifetime thing
right there! *huggles*

Thank you Pillow-chan for letting me here your work. Don't give up on this if
it's your goal!

Micki is right. Because of certain non-disclosure and other legal
agreements, I'm not at liberty to talk about certain video game projects.
However, there are some video games that are coming up now that I can talk
about. I'll do my best to put up stuff on my website about video game roles
I've played that are fair game.

Just be patient, I've been pretty busy lately. ;)

I'm not doing any theatre right now. The last time I was on stage was for
my brother's production of the Graves of San Andreas which was almost 3
years ago now I think...

Supporting oneself as an actor is always challenging, especially in theatre.
Frankly, I wouldn't recommend it. I was lucky enough to have some support
during my early theatre career which helped tremendously. It is much more
feasible to support yourself as an actor in Film, TV and voice over. I
think you have to go into the field saying to yourself "I want to get paid
to act". Most people enter the field saying to themselves "I just want to
act and I hope someone rewards me for being a good actor". Those are two
almost diametrically opposed attitudes towards yourself as a professional
artist. I think you can tell which mind set allows you to support yourself
as an actor.

While I appreciate your enthusiasm, it is going to be a bit much to respond
point for point to each of the voice actors you've listed. It would sorta
be like me giving you a list of your friends and asking you to break down
each of your friends and tell me what you thought about them. Sorta awkward
and in the end revelas more about the person giving the opinion than the
person who's being opined. Suffice it say that I'm good friends with some
on your list like Kari and Brianne and others. I think they're great and we
have a great time together. The others I know, but not as well, like Daran
and Cam and Jennifer, but I respect their work also. The voice over
community is a pretty small family and you usually have to have some skill
to work consistently in the field. I believe everyone you've listed works
pretty consistently so you've chosen a good crop of actors.

Hope that answers your question.

Excellent! I'm glad to hear you had some fun getting some voice over
experience. Good for you. I hope that helps you decide whether or not
voice over is a field you'd like to pursue.

Just so you know, most demos are much more than $300 these days. They're
getting closer to $1000 for the top line demos. Not to scare you, but just
to let you know where the market is. As in most things you usually get what
you pay for.

Kudos to you.

Well, it seems more and more video games are being voiced union, because I sit
down to
watch Xplay's review of Hitman: Blood Money, and a certain Someone's dulcet
tones are
coming out of some dude with glasses talking about a "bald killer clone" being
an urban
legend.

Ha, I say. I'd know that guy anywhere.

I don't own an Xbox 360, which means I have not played Hitman: Blood Money,
which
means I have no idea if the game is good, bad, or whatever. But it really drove
home this
point:...

Wow Crispin's had to say some wierd lines in his curreer. I wonder how many
other jobs in
the world require being able to say "bald killer clone" and not make it sound
silly. Heck,
how many jobs are there that require seriously thinking about killer clones, let
alone bald
ones?

The greater glory that is Crispin Freeman trumps all manner of silly lines.
Played
Castlevania? Story is passable at best but you don't care cuz the acting is
great. Where you
could be thinking "Oh please" instead you're thinking "Yay, Cheese for
EVERYONE!" and
have a great time with it.

So I guess my point is....wierd stuff is wierd, but also fun. For what sense
that makes.

Kathleen,

I'm in Philadelphia and I use Netflix. So far I don't have any problems withj
them shipping things out quickly, but sometimes, depending on the age of the
DVD, it may take a couple of tries to get one that plays well in your DVD
player. I had watched s-CRY-ed before it ever aired on TV, but I couldn't get a
disc 6 that would play on my DVD player, finally had to wait for it to air on TV
before I got to see the ending. Was kind of frustrating, but other than that
they've been great for my anime needs. Hope that helps.

Netflix so far has been great for me. They are very prompt and
usually send things out in order. Every now and then they'll send a
different disc than says on the list but that's not often. As for any

I noticed a lack of Crispin in the programming schedule...very
disappointing. It just wouldn't seem like Anime Expo without the mythology
panel! *sniffle* And there are so many guests I'm looking forward to
seeing...

By the way, I totally call for a Vic Mignona vs. Paku Romi deathmatch. =P

Thank you for answering my question Crispin I have another one for you.

I have noticed that many of the characters you have played have
usually had some secret (deadly or funny) about them or have a kind of
dark aura around them in a way.

There are many examples of this in your work, for example:

These are three of my favorite roles

Regal Bryant from Tales of Symphonia had the secret that he killed his
lover when she was transformed by the exsphere.

Kouichi Kimura from Digimon had the secret that he was Koji's brother
and that he also fell into the traps of Cherubimon.

Ebisu from Naruto gets made fun of in a later episode by Naruto of
being a closet pervert.

I want you to ask me what drew you to these characters in terms of
their sort of mysterious side to them

Thank you Melanie for letting us know that. I got that email quite a while ago,
but I deleted it.

It's pornographic, too.

opened the message and it attached itself to their contacts and sent

but it was sent to many email boxes.

Hi guys, this is Timothy McKann, and I want to share a letter from Kari
Wahlgren to all of you. Here it is:

Hey there, Timothy!
Thanks so much for your e-mail!  I love hearing from
you fans, and I appreciated the reviews. I usually
audition for all of the parts, along with all of the
other voice actors. I have an agent in Los Angeles,
and sometimes they will get auditions for me. Once in
awhile, a director or client will like my work and
want me for a role, so they'll just cast me without a
tryout. It all depends on the project. But I've had a
chance to work on a couple of really great ones--and
some of the ones you mentioned are among my favorites!
Tell your friends on the mailing list that I send them
a big "HELLO!!"
Thanks again for writing!!
All the best,
Kari Wahlgren

So if you like this letter, tell me what you think.

Sincerly,
Timothy McKann at Wingzero586@...

Wow! That is a sweet letter! I remember seeing Kari at Anime Boston '06 and
she was really nice. She gave gave me a thumbs up at the Robotech Voice Acting
Workshop on Friday. I had fun during that and people said that I did a great
job. I was also walking behind her in the mall on Saturday, but I don't think I
wanted to bother her.

That's really great you got such a wonderful response from Kari!!
COOL!!:D Kari was really nice when I met her at AB.:) My boyfriend &
I were both wearing "Hellsing" T-shirts the day we got her autograph.
When she motioned to me to come on over, she saw my shirt &
exclaimed, "Ohh, I LOVE your shirt!!":D She signed one of my WHR
soundtrack CD's I brought with me.:)
