I would love to read something from people. I think it would be a
good way to get to know someone.

Ok, let me see here.


I guess I will start with the physical. Brown hair, sometimes worn in
a flat-top, but not much anymore. Ex-army, and so ex-army that I seem
to have an aversion to exercise, so I have slowly developed a gut.
Currently don't wear glasses, but everyone one else in my family does
except for my son, but his mother does, so I think Ryan and I are
doomed as well =). Still have my hair, but I know it's only a matter
of time =(. I say I'm 6 foot, but I was measured in Basic Training in
93 at 6'2", after BT at 6'1" and now I appear to be between 6 and
6'1"...when I hit 5'7" I'll start to worry. There is a farily recent

Christian, but fairly theologiacal and philosophical in my beliefs. I
do like to discuss esoteric issues, but I do not like to argue the
points - I figure beliefs can't be changed with argument, so if
discussion becomes contentious, it's time to move to a differnt
topic.


I am a computer geek, and have been programming since I was 8. I like
playing computer games, and have been playing Star Wars Galaxies for
a
while now (also played Dark Age of Camelot). I am currently a
contract
consultant, hoping to get a full time gig soon.


I like to SCUBA dive, but haven't done it in a while. Same goes with
camping and hiking (don't think Ryan is ready for hiking yet). I like
movies, but I have only seen theater presentations with Ryan, so a
lot
of kid movies in the past year. I like all kind of movies, but I
prefer watching movies that require thought on DVD, and Action and
Sci
Fi on the Big screen. (I'm eventually gonna buy the Sci Fi flick, but
they are kewler BIG). Romantic comedies, straight Romance, and scary
stuff I try to leave for dates - so I haven't seen one in about 15
months.


I like all kinds of food, particularly spicy food. There are a few
body parts I rule out on grounds of having no desire to train up for
Fear Factor, but in general I an fairly adventurous. I was an Air
Force brat, and grew up in the orient, so I like chinese, japonese
(hibachi and sushi), korean, mongolian, indian (I know there are
various styles, but I don't know the difference yet, I just know I
like
'em).


Immediately after my divorce, I tried Yahoo Personals and Match.com,
but after a year I decided I had experienced enough disasters (many
self inflicted) and took a break to get myself back together. I feel
I
am in a better place, but I still don't do while lot. I've been
wanting to get out and do things with people again, and expand my
circle of friends. Yeah, dating might be nice to do again, but that
isn't my focus any longer...I'm at a point in my life where starting
off as friends sounds like a far less harrowing option for getting to
know someone.


I do drink on occasion, but I am a sipper; it isn't my goal to get
drunk. I stink at dancing, but have occasionally been convinced to
try
again. I'm in the torturous process of smoking cessation, and hope to
finally kick that habit soon.
