Description

Amateur Theater Group of alumni and present students of IIT Delhi, IIMs, Delhi University, and other institutions.

Dramatech is a 27 year old theatre group of Delhi, having 33 successful productions to its credit. Dramatech has provided the Delhi audience with good, wholesome theatre experience with plays like Agatha Christie’s ‘Ten little Niggers’and ‘Witness for the Prosecution’(both in Hindi), Tenessee William’s ‘A streetcar Named Desire’, Dr. Govind Deshpande’s ‘Uddhvast Dharamshala’, Moliere’s ‘Bichoo’, Vijay Tendulkar’s ‘Panchi Aise Aate Hain’, Badal Sircar’s ‘Ballabhpur Ki Roopkatha’, Dr. Shankar Shesh’s ‘Rakt Beej’, and Mary Chase’s ‘Harvey’ . The group performed regularly between 1984 and 1992, thereafter it was revived in 2002 with the performances of 'Ek Jaam Auntiyon Ke Naam', Ranjit Kapoor’s hindi adaptation of Joeph Kesselring’s ‘Arsenic and Old lace’.

Dramatech's next play is Premchand: Three Comedies.The next 4 shows will be staged at Sri Ram Centre in October 2012.

The group's last two productions were- Ranjit Kapoor's SAB THAAT PARAA REH JAYEGA and Ravi Raj Sagar's THE WEEKEND COCKTAIL, both in Oct, Nov, Dec 2011.
