------------------ Hot pick ------------------

Media trade analysis for access
In the race to be all fashion, all the time, sites with the most near
real-time
pictures and video won during Fashion Week. Or did they?

*It's a small world
Like to learn the difference between a salwar-kurta and a sari, find
global
designers, read international online magazines and more? Go global in
this new
category.
http://fashion.about.com/msubglobal.htm

*Timeless fashion
Old money, classic chic, investment dressing. Call it what you will:
traditionally styled sportswear and dresses may not be runway glamorous,
but for
wearability and innate elegance they can't be beat.(And yes, this is the

cashmere page)
http://fashion.about.com/msubclassic.htm

*Star style
Find out more about "Sex and the City" characters' hip wardrobes,
fashion's
winners and losers at the Emmys, celebrity hairdos and more.
http://fashion.about.com/msubcelebrity.htm

*It all looks cute in kids' sizes
http://fashion.about.com/msub3.htm

*To tickle your funny bone

-----------------Readers Ask------------------
Q: I will be going to my first opera. I have no clue what to wear -
Anna,
A. There usually isn't a dress code for attending the opera, unless
you're
attending opening night, which is when the big arts patrons dress to the
nines.
In a metropolitan area, there will likely be people more dressed up than
other
parts of the country. I'd suggest you do what most of us do when in
doubt -- go
for the little black dress. If you have something sleeveless or short
sleeve,
just add a shawl, wear your hair and makeup more special than usual and
choose
appropriately dressy shoes and handbag. If it's like most events, you'll
see
people wearing everything from jeans to tuxes. - Cynthia

Fall is the time to plant and divide perennials and Gardening Guide
Deborah
Simpson has a great list of online resources to get your garden in
shape.

*The whole enchilada
Spice up your cooking repertoire with great south of the border recipes
from
Mexican Cuisine Guide Jessica Cuba.
