POSTING GUIDELINES

Subject Line

OFFER: item description (town)
TAKEN: item description

WANTED: item description (town)
RECEIVED: item description

Use ALL CAPS for key word only (i.e. OFFER). Don't say "ISO", "PPU", "re-offer" or "free" in subject line.

Message Body

Describe a single item or logical group (table & chairs, stack of bricks, toddler toys). If a photo would help, post one and include a link.

Respond to the offer directly to arrange pick-up.
Email moderators with questions or comments.

It's your stuff.
You are free to choose among responders. Just be nice.
If your item doesn't get picked up, it's OK to offer again in 7 days.

Deal person to person.
Don't say, "it's out on the curb (or porch), first one here gets it."
It wastes gas and makes people angry if they drive and it's gone.

It's OK to OFFER pets,
but keep it legal & be lovingly careful.

WANTED posts are OK in moderation,
Two items per person every 7 days max.
Just describe item; don't explain why you "need" it.


Two strikes rule:
If you think someone is asking for something excessive...DELETE IT. Do not contact that person with rude responses. Do not whine about it to the moderators. We are moderators, not mediators, and you are adults, not children--so act like it.
