Thank you everyone for the support. My name has not disappeared of the Indiana
site yet so I still have some hope. My results are not there for the quick
results yet.

I was informed that there are people who will randomly get the 265 questions as
a way of validating the examination and it has NOTHING to do with how well or
how poorly you are doing.  The other scenario is that the computer will take
you to the whole 265 if it determines you are "close to the edge" so without
knowing if you were a random 265 recipient or just on the borderline, don't
assume the worst, just hope for the best!

Thanks, Clint. I am going to hold onto that glimmer of hope. My quick
results might be available later on today. When I came out of my test, I told
the lady that I guess I would see her again in 45 days and she said, no you
wont. I said I got max questions and kept getting the same kind over and over.
She said as I was checking out, Good luck with your nursing career. So I am also
holding on to the fact that they know right away and she just was not being
nice. lol.

I guess only time will tell. I hope I am a select few that just get to the cc
screen and still pass.

failed.... however, if you are allowed to the credit card screen, that doesn't

This "trick" is NOT 100%. There are FALSE NEGATIVES!

The reliable ways to find out if you passed NCLEX are:

1. Quick results by Pearson... it will cost you about $8 and IF you are in a
state that participates, you can find out in about 24-48 hours

2. Using "license look-up" feature on your state board of nursing website to see
if you have been issued a license

3. Waiting to hear from your state board of nursing or from the national
council.

Hi Kay,

I have been using the studygroup101 stuff - I found them very helpful. I would
say that you need to know lab values - and ABG's. I did pretty good on this I
got a B as opposed to the C in chronicity. They give you plenty of time to take
the test and you can flag questions for review at the end or review the whole
test if you choose to. Also, the practice exams on the excelsior site are great
too as sometimes you see the same question just worded differently.

Good Luck,

Ann

Stupid, (hehe - my wacky sense of humor)
Here's the website: http://mystudygroup101.homestead.com/
These Cd's got me thru ALL exams & I couldn't recommend them more. They are
notes on what you need to know/read, quizes, slides. I personally did not use
Lisa Arend's notes - but heard they are very helpful as well - those are
literally notes on the content you need to know.  You can purchase the Study
Group 101 cd's on that website - both (Lisa Arend's & My Study Group 101) can be
purchased on e-bay.
Lisa Fusco, LPN - Good luck!!!!!!!!!

You are only allowed to use the suggested books.  It is a simulation test, done
on paper and pencil.  you have to be within 10 hours of completing your gen ed

it, there is no studying for it.  i did mine in about 6 or 7 hours.

I enrolled on October 10th 2009.

So far, 3 months later  I have taken all nursing courses and Micro, Human
development. I had all the other prereqs done from my comm college.

I have left Ethics for last, after CPNE.

I have only to take FCCA and apply for CPNE.

My grades weren't great because I took a test every 2 weeks. I have made all B,
one C in Health Safety and one A in Cardi0-Oncology- Respiratory ( I work in
cardio unit)..

iT WASN'T EASY. What helped me is that I just finished the LPN school, and was
on top of my class. We started 30 and finished only 5. It was very tough. Our
professors all had Masters and treated us an RN students.
And I studied like a dog.lol.
I studied on my breaks, during my daughters activities, at home, in my car I had
CDs called : all you need to pass Nclex exam, study group101 and files from
internet groups.
and I alwayd take the excelsior exams as soon as I pay them to check out how bad
I am and how long will take to to take that exam.

I did study and I am tired but it is done..almost. ..

Good luck to you all..
Elena

To those who are about to take the CPNE, and to those who have already. How long
did it take to get that far?

I was just wondering exactly what the FCCA is, if any additional textbooks were
needed and about how long it takes to complete.  Also, has anyone purchased FCCA
studyguides from studyguide 101?

Daphine I really think you tried it to early. I understood you had to wait a day
or two before you tried the Pearsonvue trick.

That Pearson trick isn't 100% accurate so you may still have passed. Try it
again tomorrow...sometimes it takes a day or so for the trick to work. And you
may have been one of the "lucky" ones that randomly is selected to answer all
the questions. Chin up! You haven't failed yet!

I think that's a ? for instacert. It's been awhile since I've used them and
really don't know the difference between the two.

get the same materials as for the Platinum membership.?

Racquel, I have not taken this one but have taken 2 other CLEP's. The ONLY
thing I recommend is the REA book, they are published by the same 'people' that
make the actual clep exam. good luck, they are totally doable!!!

That is the way it is here in Ohio. They don't want old or new LPNs in hospitals
at all. I had the hardest time finding an LPN job when I finished school a year
ago. RNs in certain places here are having a hard time.

Have not heard this in SC. In this state they don't want LPN's in the hospital,
old or new.

I have been hearing a lot lately at the hospitals that they don't want to train
new RN grads. There are positions open but they want 2 years experience to fill
them. Is anyone running into this problem or have heard about this? Is the
economy striking down even nursing jobs? I am in Arizona and the hospitals I
visit as a paramedic tell me 'good luck ' finding a job as a new grad. Kind of
disheartening to hear. Any input?

How far out is Excelsior scheduling the current CPNE exam after people have
filed for it? Are we looking at a 4-6 month wait or sooner?

Thanks

Lisa, who told you to only take one course at a time. I am studing two. I dont
want to over- load. I do have kids and a job. But you have to set up your own
study plan. I set aside 4 hours a day to study. Two hours for each course. Im
studing all the time, even when cooking . I dont want to spend forever doing
this so I have to put in the time. I have been using TCN. I failed my very first
exam. That had me depressed for a while. So I decided to study differently. I
contacted this group and they give me different types of study methods and tools
that might help me perform better. So dont get flustered. Make a study plan. Use
Study Group 101, Lisa Arends notes, and EC practice exam is what I've been
told. Hope this helps.

Ok i started with RUE(whatever it is called now) like 6 weeks ago .Just got my
packet from Excelsior.(which confuses me ) I am currently taking Micro (yuk)and
would really like to take more then one class at a time . I heard I can take
classes else where too. My question is how, where and where do you find out the
information you need to do all this . I feel like I am doing this solo, not
getting very much direction from any advisor. I ultimately would like to find
classes on line that you can go at your own pace and not be limited to a couple
, or few chapters a week . I want to move quicker I guess.Kinda getting bored
with just one classes at a time HELP
