Free Sudan is a newsgroup set up to inform on developments concerning the abduction and torture of citizens in Sudan, the role of oil, and human rights and security in Sudan. The news group and Free Sudan Website were set up by Australian citizen Louis Szondy, after he became a victim of abduction and torture in Sudan and all attempts to communicate with the regime about his case fell on deaf ears.
