Have done it but so long ago I cant remember much except it was a huge
old industrial beast that I borrowed from a friend.
A pressure washer can eat the timber away so you need to be careful.
Other ways of doing it are to sand it off with a heavy sander like a
panel beaters disc sander and the coarsest discs you can get. Or
scrape the bulk off using an old wide sharp chisel held vertical and
dragged backwards. (not real good for the chisel though it works
reasonably well)
Use a good dustmask when you sand cedar as the dust is carcinogenic.
