Hi everyone,
I'm new to this group, and also fairly new to woodworking in
general. I've been doing stained glass, leatherwork (medieval boots,
clothing and accessories) and metalwork (swords and armor) for
years, but this year I got a bee in my bonnet to try woodwork. So
far I've made a coffee table, a corner shelf unit, some shelving for
a friend's bookstore, and some temple furniture for the local OTO
lodge. I have a thousand projects planned, just got to find the time
and money for the wood :o)
I'm posting two photos of the coffee table and corner shelf - both
my own design, both involve carving and dragons in one form or
another. The pictures are really poor quality - I messed with them
in Photoshop to make the details show up, but they were taken with a
really cheap digital camers in bad lighting...
Anyway, my next project is more temple furniture, followed by a hall
bench. As usual, I'm using my own designs. Oh, I forgot... I built
my own workbench the old fashioned way, joints and glue, without
screws or anything else. Don't really think of that as furniture,
though.
