What a difference a few weeks make...On July 6, I sent a post to the Salt Lake City 2007 digest asking, "Has a [group] for Mac users been suggested…? Is there interest...in meeting one evening in SLC to share…insights/concerns about doing genealogical research as members of yet another 'minority' group?!"
More than a dozen responses convinced me that others shared my feelings. As soon as the throngs arrived, many more e-mails requesting to be added to the growing list also arrived.
Our attractive computers, many of them shiny, all sporting the well-known apple, gained attention; soon people were stopping and asking about Macs and genealogy software. The list of people interested in participating in a group grew daily.
On Tuesday evening, a number of us dined, schmoozed, and bonded. Wednesday evening, another group of us met at a different restaurant, and continued the process!
Often, especially in the evening, we could be found at the end of the corridor near the ballroom. By the end of the conference, more than three dozen names appeared on our spreadsheet.
Our group will share ideas and post comments, info, pictures...whatever the members are inspired to share about the use of software and hardware which will aid genealogists in their pursuits.

Please tell your local JGSs and/or other Mac-ers about our Yahoo! group. Newbies, mentors, and everyone in-between, are welcome to participate.
Looking forward to watching our numbers and camaraderie grow...and to seeing your creative ideas, your questions, your answers...
