Hi Steve,
The church I attend didn't have a sunrise service. When the plans for Easter
celebration were just in the starting phase, I was tempted to suggest it, but
maybe it's not something that this church does.
I remember going to sunrise service as a child, but that was years ago. The
weather surely was warm enough to have an outdoor service.
What they did here was have a breakfast in the fellowship hall. The items
included sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, grits, biscuits, sausage gravy,
waffles, 3 types of cereal, fruit, & coffee, OJ or milk. After I ate a small
helping, I went & helped the lady that was in charge of childrens church this
morning as she had extra prep work to do.
The service itself was great! The Easter Cantada was quite enjoyable with
some awesome choir performances. The pastor gave an abbreviated sermon - so we
wouln't be there 'all day'.
After the service, I a small turkey dinner with my mother & brother.
I hope you all had an enjoyable Ressurection Day.
Bonnie
