Does the [3, for ex.] for re rolls mean the number of Dice you re -

applicable? Thanks, Scott and y'all.

I thought it would be nice to have dice specifically for each Goal
System games, so I came up with some stickers to use with blank d6s.

I've uploaded images appropriate for Supersystem to the Dice Stickers
folder. (These are 600dpi pngs - "Kaboom!" is for the six.) I've
printed mine out on Avery Clear Mailing labels (inkjet). They seem to
be pretty sturdy, but I think I will spray them with a fixative. I've
tested them on a regular die. I'm just waiting for my blank dice to
arrive.

It's the number of dice you can re-roll. For example, if you have DR
6[3], you can re-roll up to three dice from your throw. However, you
may never re-roll the same die twice. So for example, if I roll and
get 1, 3, 3, 4, 5, and 5, I would re-roll the 1, 3, and 3.

If had the same pool and later rolled 1, 2, 4, 5, 5, and 6 I could re-
roll the 1 and 2, but if I failed to get a goal on those re-rolls I
couldn't use the third re-roll to try again with one of them, because
you can never re-roll the same die more than once. If I was feeling
lucky I could pick up the 4 or one of the 5's and try re-rolling that,
hoping for a 6, but I would never advise someone to take a goal off of
the table for a chance at a 6.

Of course, I am a bad die roller, so I play it safe!

Hope this helps!

Thanks, that does clear things up a bunch. Never thought of taking
a "4" off the table for a "6"......well, you never take a field goal
off the scoreboard, so unless your gonna die or something, leave that
four :)

I uploaded text-only versions of the first stickers.

If you print these on a regular inkjet, remember that the ink is
transparent. The colors will look nice on plain white blank dice, but
other color dice will show through and make them look dull and muddy.

Printing on a color laser might give opaque labels, but the resolution
will probably not be as good. I'll try it out when I get a chance.

Thanks Tom.

Yes, I do plan to sculpt the whole gang.  I will be doing two (maybe three) lesser werewolves, a couple packs of regular wolves, a master werewolf, and at least one escaped inmate.

Quite alot to do, but I need the practice.

Here is some progress on (Lesser) Werewolf #1 (Large picture warning):
Werewolf

As always, comments and criticism appreciated.

I uploaded a photo of the finished Supersystem dice - and new artwork
for simpler ones: blood spatter dice that would work nicely for Horror
games. You only need three labels for these instead of six. Just leave
the other three sides blank.

I suggest spraying the entire die with fixative (clear varnish). That
will seal the edges of the labels and stop them from lifting. Do it on
wax paper to stop them from sticking.

I have a question about Chaos in Carpathia. How come no rules for creating
characters/
villians, like in Chaos in Cairo or SuperSystem? That was one of the best parts.

I specifically set out to create a warband style of game-play with a
pick-list of options. I wanted to get away from pure build options
which often run into balnace issues.

There is nothing stopping you from taking the profiles and tweaking
them to get the kind of character you want. For that I would turn
back to Cairo if you have it, or to SuperSystem.

Generally speaking, for this version of the game, Agility costs 3
pts. per die, all other attributes should be 2 pts. per die. Most
special traits can eitehr be costed by the die (usually 2 pts.), or
have a flat cost between 3-5 pts. Further uses of single use traits
should cost around 2 pts.

Hope this helps!

Hey, smoky,

Cairo and Chicago will be using the same mechanics, warband
construction, scenario rules, etc. Keep in mind that any new traits,
rules, combat maneuvers, scenarios and even some of the special
characters, weapons and equipment from Cairo and Chicago can be used in
most other GoalSysytem settings as well.

As far as the publication date for Cairo is concerned I would say it is
safest to state "coming soon". Playtesting and lots of cutting and
pasting is occuring at a furious rate of speed.

Hmmmm...a Kolchak setting...that could be fun. I might have a new idea
for a mini-campaign...

Yes, I'm not the only "Kolchak" fan :) I'll post pics of a neat
terrain sytem I built for Cairo. Its "Drop in" boxes of tombs, crypts
and rooms that fit in the "underground" slots carved out of my 4" foam
table base. I just put the desert tiles on top (they have cut outs,
where a building lifts off and gives you underground access). Best of
all, with the tiles overlaid to the edge, you can't tell I
used "Costco" Jif peanut butter bulk boxes as the frame :)

I got mine at a construction site, 4x8' sheets of 4" thick foam they
were throwing out in the dumpster!!! Yeah, they say its a felony to
enetr construction sites, but its also a felony to hire illegal
workers, so let "He who is without sin, cast the first stone", plus I
where khakis, a short sleeve button down light blue polo, a clip on
tie, a presidential seal baseball cap, and an earpiece, clipboard and
pretend that I'm on the phone, speaking Spanish very irately, and
NOBODY at that site comes near me :)

This looks to be great fun!

One question about miniatures, are the HE14 devil's knight henchmen the same sculpts as GHS-01 pumpkin headed scarecrows?

I have the latter, as well as the sack headed scarecrows, and will get the former if they offer new sculpts that I don't have.  Love killer scarecrows and Ragged Jack will definitely bemaking an appearance on my table tops.

cheers,
