A real quick rewind, about 2 years ago, 6 singers, took the stage ( Feb 2nd, 2010) and without any karaoke track or a band to assist them , they sang amazing numbers to entertain our GMTS community. The passion, the interest and the constant rigor to excel is exhibited by them ever since, and you, The GMTS community have played a huge part in inspiring them to excel.

Fast Forward, Feb 2012, 2 Years later, Now, 12 singers, take the stage on Feb 12, 2012, The Milwaukee Minminigal, An offspring of the GMTS Community, Yes, it is part of us, and we should be proud that we as a community have developed and instilled this interest in our own people, their main motto is to entertain us and they have been putting in lot of their time into practice sessions to give you the best in class musical experience. Thank you for your response to our online ticket drive. This has helped us plan our logistics better and we appreciate your support in this regard.

Are You ready for the Mellifuous Music and the Amazing Talent Display tommorow?

The Online ticket purchases are closed now and as announced there will be three winners based on the raffle. The winners have to be present while picking the raffle to win the prizes.

An Important Information, the Entrance to the Pongal Function will ONLY BE THROUGH the Auditorium Entrance. The Entrance from the Cafetria will be blocked , because temple actually has their sunday lunch from 12 onwards and to avoid the confusion, our function will only have Entrance through the AUDITORIUM. So it will be through the ground floor parking lot, and entrance through the doors at the end of the auditorium . (The Connecting door from cafteria to Auditorium will be closed )

Please bring a print out and/or saved copy on your smart phone and show it our Ticket booth volunteers to get your wrist Band tickets at the venue.Thank you

I start with couple comments from the Facebook page for the Maasila Unmai Kaadhale song rendition by Milwaukee Minminigal..

"Awesome...Loved it...Both Kids were singing this song playing NFL Madden after the function..This proves that old is gold and w/o these events my kids wouldn't have been exposed to these old classic songs..Keep it going guys!!"

First of all, Thanks to every one of you , your friends and family for making it to the Inikkum (K) Arumbu Pongal event, and making it a grand success. More than 190 people came to the event. We are growing and the future looks bright.

A long list of Volunteers tirelessly worked on giving us an amazing program.

1. Mrs. Sala Babu and Mrs. Kannama Vairavan -Thank you very much for your tireless service in educating our community kids in this classical language TAMIL , and also enlightening the entire community with the themes of Unity and also How to manage Watching TV shows? Our Sincere Gratitude to you both and to all the Tamil Palli Volunteers

2. Mrs. Swarna Ramaiah - THe Dance Choreographer for the Rakkama Song that Kids performed. Thank you Swarna ji . THanks for taking time off your weekends, driving to HTW temple from Racine, and teaching all the kids . It was an amazing Choreography and the kids danced with finesse and elegance . Thank you

3. The youth Wing- All the youth wing participants, For the amazing decorative pieces you created and along With Mrs. Maheshwari, the decoration expert from our community , you have taken the stage decoration to new levels. Appreciate all the effort ,Thank you and ofcourse, Thank you Maheshwari for leading this effort.

4. Saravanan aka Sara- Board member, The Show Man , amazing collaboration and very well delivered Event. Thank you

5. Ramesh & Vidhya- Very creative and instantly likeable stage presence, you folks carried yourself with ease and finesse on stage. Thank you

6. All parents of participating kids , and the kids who performed- Our heart felt thank you to you all.

7. Milwaukee Minminigal- The hours you put together for practice - more than 200 man hours just as a team (not counting the individual sessions u had) !! Thats incredible and thanks much for an amazing show.

The food committee lead by board members, all volunteers who helped in serving food, clean up after event, stage decoration, etc -a big thank you to all. Ofcourse Thanks to all board members - We are proud of this amazing event and we look forward to giving the community another "Crazy" Event - on Apr 29th 2012 - A Visual treat by Crazy Mohan and his team- Chocolate Krishna

Again, Please let us know what we can do to make it a better experience for you all . We Need all of us , right from the first event to the end of the show , be present for the entire show. Thats my humble request to you all.

Art, in any form, and when presented by anybody, requires that mutual appreciation from the entire community- it fosters the creativity and helps preserve art and it develops what the comments presented in the beginning of the email said.. Again, The comment I pasted above , in my humble opinion, is not just a remark for the song, but it summarizes the entire motto of our Community through all these sincere attempts of showcasing our culture and art forms in all the events ..

North South Foundation (NSF) - Milwaukee Chapter is conducting Regional Contests in Math Bee, Spelling Bee, Vocabulary Bee and Science Bee on April 21st, 2012 at Horizon Elementary School, 458 Lake Street , Pewaukee WI 53072.

You can buy your tickets for Crazy Mohan Drama from him.

He will also be available from 2 PM onwards at the Tamil School this Sunday selling the Drama tickets.

Note:Please bring your check book or cash to buy your tickets.

Crazy Mohan and his troupe are super excited about their trip to Milwaukee and meeting you all and of course it is their passion for arts that needs to be saluted and we need you all with your friends and family to recognize and applaud their talents and help the sustenance of this art form for generations to come.

It is the passion that we as Fans show towards the art that is being performed, motivates the Art, to sustain in its Highest Quality form. A play that reminded us the great Kannadasan's words - Nallavarukku ellam rendu Saatchi -Ondru Mana Saatchi; Ondru Deivathin Saatchi ; A very neat, well enacted, hilarious rib tickler with an underlying concept; We Hope you all had fun. GMTS with your continued support will bring more such events in the future as well, that fosters our Culture,Language and Art.
