Hey wonderful STAND friends,
Juan Mendiz, United Nations Special Advisor on the Prevention of Genocide, will be speaking tomorrow at the Holocaust Museum here in DC. If you are intrerested in coming with STAND there, please meet at the Foggy Bottom METRO promptly at 2:30. A description of his presentation is below. He's a great speaker and is very knowledgable on the situation in Darfur.

Mr. Mendez will discuss the mandate of the Special Advisor on the Prevention of Genocide, the role of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of Genocide and the responsibility to protect vulnerable civilians. He will also address his activities concerning Darfur, including his findings and recommendations following his two trips there.
