GW STAND MINUTES 3/7
"When
human dignity is in jeopardy, national borders and sensitivities become
irrelevant. Whenever men or women are persecuted beacuse of their race,
religion, or political views, that place must- at that moment- become
the center of the universe." -Elie Wiesel

STAND announces National Week of Action for Darfur on April 3-8!
April 6 marks the beginning of the Rwandan genocide 12 years ago. In remembrance of this day, the Power to Protect Campaign announces a National Week of Action for Darfur from April 3-8.
We're asking all STAND chapters to hold an event during this week that
1.) actively involves both your campus and the local community; and
2.) produces a tangible demonstration of your community's concern for Darfur, which you will present as a gift to your congressperson at D.C. to Darfur.
For detailed outlines of suggested events and ideas for creating your community gift, download the National Week of Action Guide at
www.powertoprotect.org/P2PWeekofAction.pdf .
IF YOU GUYS HAVE ANY IDEAS FOR EVENTS DURING THE WEEK OF ACTION contact tara at tbiller@...,
